When I am infused with the sound, my joints move. Theres magic in recognising I’m the puppet. The puppeteer goes beyond the confines of my atomic body, although those very atoms are as much the puppeteer as anything else.

There is a sanskrit term, “leela”. I have witnessed it as a dance. We may witness it as anything and everything, or nothing at all. My logic is no Buddha, though what is a better representation/expression of the Tao, than a natural free flowing dance? Maybe I am thinking too simplistic.

Conventional stereotypes would suggest, that someone like me, would be unlikely to appreciate Ballet. I may have a bad memory, though after one girl, and music, nothing has touched my heart more. Maybe because sometimes ballet reminds me of that old love; the love lost. Whatever the reason it touches me and this is same guy, who would like to be a boxer and some might say already is.

Logically something percieved as so pompus, gay, pink, Snow White, upper class and frivalous should not be able to do what it does. But because there is no text, our minds fill it with a story. Consciously or more often unconciously. That story may be our own, or a aspect of ourselves, our lives and our experience. Thus ballet may act as a mirror unto our true self or emotions.

Berlin’s most famous Treehouse

You could call it a treehouse, though its a treehouse with a longer story than most. It starts with Osman Kalin, one of many Turkish emigrants, who has left the Kreuzberg area of Berlin known as Little Istanbul. From Mr Kalin’s apartment, he saw a piece of unused land. This land, was left by the GDR (Former East Germany) during its construction of Wall. There was a bend in the border and to save on material, the East Germans, decided to just straighten the wall.

Well over time, this land, became a bit of a tip; that is until Mr Kalin, decided to use it as a garden. The East Germans, let him use the land as he was a unfortunate victim of capitalist circumstances. Ofcourse West German authorities, could not do anything about it as it wasn’t in there Jurisdiction.

Out of the garden, sprouted the treehouse. Constructed gradually from 1989, using bits of random unused materials. He even used abandoned mattresses. Today its a example of what a person can do with what society considers waste. Though its still a sturdy German construction, with a unique Turkish twist; leaving it with a reputation of being iconic building in Berlin.

Though its not its architectural uniqueness which leaves it with such a esteemed reputation. This construction and Mr Kalin, himself, went through a great ordeal to keep it standing. After re-unification and the fall of the wall, the united Berlin authorities wanted to build a road, where the wall once stood. This road would have meant, the demolition of Mr Kalin’s creation. Though he stood strong, and faced the rath of the authorities. He even feared, they would come and take his belongings away, so his response was to cement every piece of furniture to the ground.

Mr Kalin, received a saving grace in the form, of the nearby Church. Officially the Treehouse was on Church land. Under the complexities of German law, this meant the building could not be demolished without prior consent from the Church. Though consent was not forth coming. Mr Kalin lobbied the Church and because they liked his way of life and his family ethic, they decided he should stay. It is worth applaud considering the Christian estabilishment defended a Muslim family.

To this day, it is where Osman Kalin calls home, the place he raised his children, and where his grandchildren come to visit him.

Il blog che raggiunge un anno di vita: traguardo da festeggiare. Come? Con uno dei più classici talk show. Talk show con chi? Con la persona a capo di Nba Italia, ovvero Katia Bassi, che dall’ufficio milanese racconta novità succose riguardanti il Belpaese rispetto all’Nba. The Game I Love e i suoi lettori ringraziano Katia per la disponibilità. Se la regia è pronta, direi che possiamo iniziare.

Milano è grigia e quasi malinconica in questo novembre. Ma nonostante lotti con il freddo che già si fa sentire, Katia Bassi, a capo dell’ufficio di Nba Italia, non rallenta certo il suo lavoro in questi che sono mesi-chiave in vista degli eventi che la lega d’Oltreoceano ha in mente per lo Stivale. L’ufficio italiano ha aperto i battenti ad inizio 2009 e, tra gli eventi, ha già iniziato a pianificare quello che si profila come il grande appuntamento del 2010: una nuova partita di preseason dopo il successo di Boston-Toronto di un paio di anni fa, quando il pubblico italiano poté godersi dal vivo a Roma i “verdi” bostoniani, che poi avrebbero vinto l’anello 2008, contro la squadra di Bargnani. “Saranno mesi importanti i prossimi – dice Katia Bassi – con ad esempio gli Harem Globetrotters, anche loro nella grande famiglia Nba, che torneranno in Italia toccando nel loro tour anche la Sardegna”.
Lei ha lavorato con Ferrari ed Inter prima di approdare nell’Nba. Automobilismo, calcio e basket sono sport molto diversi tra di loro. E’ interessante vedere come anche in sport indubbiamente maschili ci siano donne che possono raggiungere posti di rilievo.
“In teoria passare da uno sport all’altro è lo stesso che passare da un’azienda all’altra per un qualsiasi manager. Come sempre si riparte da zero e c’è da imparare per conoscere la nuova realtà in cui ci si cala. Se devo dare un giudizio personale però ho trovato nel basket una vicinanza molto più intensa con la gente da parte degli atleti. Il calcio ha il momento della partita ma tutto finisce con i novanta minuti di gioco. E i calciatori non sono così propensi al rapporto con il pubblico. L’ufficio è nato a febbraio. Ci siamo calati subito nella realtà dell’All Star Game e a Phoenix ho potuto toccare con mano questa differenza”.
Ma in cosa consiste l’attività dell’ufficio Nba in Italia?
“Si comporta così come gli altri uffici Nba nati in Europa e che si trovano a Londra, Parigi, Madrid e Istanbul. Lo scopo è mostrare l’Nba al grande pubblico, farci notare. L’Nba ha certamente una grande notorietà ma deve comunque essere più visibile. Lavoriamo su diversi fronti: i diritti televisivi, il sito web, il merchandising e l’organizzazione di eventi sul territorio”.
L’Italia ha prepotentemente raggiunto un livello di primo piano nella lega con Bargnani, Belinelli e Gallinari. Tre ragazzi figli del profondo basket nostrano, nati cestisticamente in società di provincia.
“Questo testimonia che l’Nba è un mondo raggiungibile. Mentre il mondo del calcio è settorizzato e fare salti importanti in carriera può essere molto difficile, nel caso delle tre stelle di casa nostra solo grazie al loro talento sono state notate. Non solo sono il fiore all’occhiello dell’Italia cestistica, ma testimoniano quanto il nostro Paese può dare. Più del 20% degli atleti Nba arriva dall’Europa. E l’obbiettivo è crescere ancora. Tutto questo racchiude un bel messaggio per i ragazzi dei settori giovanili: il sogno è raggiungibile ma anche vicino nel tempo, se pensiamo alla giovane età dei tre campioni italiani”.
Riguardo alla percezione dell’Nba in Italia, l’abolizione della regola dei “passi” ha fatto molto discutere. In qualche modo questo può pregiudicare il rapporto tra tifosi europei e lega?
“Escludo che ci possano essere ripercussioni, anzi l’obbiettivo generale, come ha dichiarato anche David Stern, è rinforzare la presenza dell’Nba in Europa. Vorremmo davvero che ci fosse la possibilità di creare una Nba Europe”.
Per rafforzare la presenza in Italia è necessario passare attraverso eventi per il pubblico. Quali sono gli eventi “tricolore” in programma?
“C’è intanto il nuovo tour italiano degli Harlem Globetrotters dal 4 al 10 maggio 2010. Un tour legato al marchio Nba che porterà il team in varie località del Belpaese con una novità: l’arrivo anche in Sardegna. Dagli Harlem in poi ci sono allo studio una serie di eventi che culmineranno con la partita di preseason in programma nella seconda metà dello stesso 2010. Ci sarà un vero e proprio percorso a tappe con momenti di aggregazione nelle piazze. L’Nba tiene moltissimo al concetto dello stare insieme all’insegna del basket. E fino ad oggi il successo è stato grande, penso alla festa all’outlet Fidenza Village dello scorso anno, con quarantamila presenze. E poi l’Nba Basketball Festival, che sarà a corollario della partita italiana”.
Il merchandising Nba ha un successo planetario e gli italiani sembrano apprezzare particolarmente prodotti ormai diventati di moda. A quando uno store ufficiale in Italia, magari proprio a Milano?
“Siamo in una fase di studio riguardo a questo aspetto. Sicuramente però, se un primo store europeo ci sarà, questo sarà in Italia. Poi altri seguiranno eventualmente in varie parti d’Europa. Così come stiamo pensando ad un negozio internet che sia esclusivamente europeo. Il successo dell’e-commerce sullo store Usa è assoluto e notiamo come molti acquirenti siano proprio italiani. Obbiettivo è aiutare questi fan a risparmiare proprio grazie a un negozio virtuale nel Vecchio Continente che abbatta spese di spedizione e tasse varie”.
Parliamo dei top player Nba: li ha conosciuti? Che impressione le hanno fatto, visti con gli occhi di un italiano.
“Durante l’All Star Game c’è stato un evento di ‘Nba Cares’, il progetto di responsabilità sociale che coinvolge i giocatori, i quali vanno a far visita nelle comunità di persone meno fortunate per passare del tempo con loro. Eravamo a Phoenix e le stelle Nba hanno partecipato alla ristrutturazione di una scuola. Yao Ming e Kobe Bryant si sono prestati con una dolcezza che non avevo mai visto. Ormai si riconosce il campione che partecipa ad un evento benefico solo nominalmente o con il cuore. Molti dei campioni arrivano da famiglie normali e ricordano con affetto i periodi in cui sono stati loro ad avere delle difficoltà”.
Un’ultima curiosità: ma la boss di Nba Italia, dopo il lavoro, va a fare due tiri al campetto?
“Non potrei competere fisicamente, sono troppo bassa (sorride, ndr). Scherzi a parte, preferisco guardare l’Nba in tv. E in effetti con il Broadband League Pass, un servizio disponibile ora anche per l’Italia, riesco a guardarmi un po’ di partite quando voglio”.

This Diwali, I went to Rajasthan with family. Only three, very selected destinations were routed – Kumbhalgarh, Chittorgarh, Bassi

Kumbhalgarh has world’s second largest wall – of 36 kilometers length. Lighting on monuments and wall is major attraction.

We were fortunate enough to have a night view with beautiful lights on the place for more than 30 minutes. Usually the place is enlightened for about 15 to 20 minutes only.
The reserved accommodation was simple and clean. Food was not upto suitable taste, of course, not bad at all!

Second day and night was planned to be spent at Chittorgarh – city of forts where a bunch of monuments are surrounded in a campus on mountain peak.
There, we compromised over accommodation but got reasonably acceptable. We were dissatisfied for food, what and wherever we had!
However, an evening tour to the fort was fabulous. On entering the campus, we hired a guide, mainly to have glimpse of monuments and to get proper road directions. The fort campus is so vast that a motorized vehicle is merely needed to visit every monument!
Its history had a general element that the Rajaputs, mostly fought in defensive manner!

Almost all monuments have unique carvings. The Vijaya Stambh is really a symbol of such high and unique architectural and structural design.
The light & sound show of 52 minutes was really good to visualize history.

The last day and night was just an experiment, and at end has turned to be most memorable place we visited in this trip.
Bassi is a small town, 25 kilometers away from Chittorgarh, on the highway to Kota. Nothing special, nothing great appeared till we reached to our ‘accomodation’. But anything and everything, appeared thereafter had an essence of royal!
The home of the Chundawats – Bassi fort is a unique symbol of hospitality. Just surfing through Internet, for accommodation inquiries for Kumbhalgarh and Chittorgarh, I came across this name, and fascinated by reviews forced to add one more destination to the vacation trip.
They have their own way to welcome guests. Not just that, the uniqueness differs when number of arriving guests increases! Food – quality, quantity & taste was highly upto our expectation.
The palace has very selected number of so called rooms, decorated with choice, rich of wall paintings. The furniture with ancient style carvings is another feather of royal theme.
Candle light dinner in open space in palace campus itself was a rare experience. If I could increase my vacation by one day, I was in mood to be seated on one of the Jharokhas whole night!
The palace campus has a Kalpavriksha – wish fulfilling divine tree, which has holy values in Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. The tree and its fruits have unique characteristics – fruit has life of 3000 years and the tree can survive without water for 2 to 3 years, according to Randheer Singh Chundawat & others.

Ranvijay Singh a.k.a. Shaitan Singh

The prince Chundawat – fondly calling self as Shaitansingh Chundawat is a cute boy. He is naughty enough to attract anyone! He too was expressing his freedom – as is studying in a school of Udaipur. And the time of vacation allowed him to move and enjoy inside big campus of the palace!

Upto our surprise, family members of the royal Chundawats spent enough time with us, talking about activities, little bit of history etc. Not just that, family members as if divided into small batches, attended us twice!
Finally, when a time to leave the wonderful place and royal family came, I realized that we stayed in a heritage hotel, by the last bill; of course, reasonable in amount!

I salute such ‘kingdom’ where ‘king’ is down to earth and good enough to maintain respect of ‘servant’!

Ok, one of my latest creations (shown above) has recieved a rather muted response. Only the brave dared comment on something so sexual. Some would consider it morally ugly.

I am not giving a explanation because I feel I have too. I am explaining the artwork, because this is my geniune reasoning.

I can’t believe I am about to write what I am about to write, but I will write it and share with the world.

Many, many years ago, one of the first ever spiritual texts, I ever read was the Vigyan Bhairav Tantra (even before the first time, I read Japji Sahib). I think it was around the time my great Grandfather (on my mothers side) died. He was a Vedic Scholar/Pandit, so maybe thats what inspired me. I was of a young age and I knew of no sexual connetations attached to the word Tantra, as percieved in the West. The Vigyan Bhairav Tantra is a meditation guide, you could say. You could say it is a love poem between the two lovers, Shiv and Shakti. You could percieve it as the Shiv and Shakti, manifest in form, or you could percieve it as the two energies within ourselves and the universe. Simply put, Shiv represents the masculine energy, and Shakti represents the femine energy. Maybe 1% is about sex, though depending how you look at it you could say 100% is about sex or more accurately love.

It is easy to read something, though it is hard to understand it, and I searched for a discourse on the text. I came across the discourse by Rajneesh (commonly known as Osho). He wrote alot about the Vigyan Bhairav Tantra, and I think his discourse helped me alot. I have done alot of the meditations (though not all). Will probably take me a few years to get through them all. There is such a diverse selection of meditations. Most people wouldn’t even call most of it meditations as they are so unconventional. Well that is tantra for you. Conventional yoga is the right hand path, and tantra is the left hand path. I do abit of both.

Well how does this relate, to this artwork? Well most people will associate tantra to the practice of sex. Most people will associate tantra to positions, when really thats not much to do with it. I will put it as simply as I can. It is amazing how complex some people make it, because in reality it is something beyond words. Though I will spell it out in a noncomplete though understandable way. In the deeper sense, it is about love. Though in the practical sense, for a guy it is about separating, orgasm from ejaculation. This is a tiny part of tantra.

Wise people say it is more dangerous too talk about something you know half about than to not know nothing about it at all about it. I can talk about the practical aspects of separating orgasm and ejaculation, quite well, but the deeper sense is something beyond anyones words (deffinately beyond my words), and is something only actual experience can reveal. But I will talk about why is it important to separate Orgasm from Ejaculation.

Taking about ejaculation, orgasm and sex some might conside a bit digusting though, its important stuff. Contray to popular opinion, men can be multi orgasmic. But the only way to do this is to have a orgasm, without ejaculating. If a guy ejaculates during orgasm, a immense amount of energy is lost, within the body. Thus that is why guys have to wait a while to gain a erection after ejaculation. Sports people shouldn’t have sex (with ejaculation) before a big game. This is especially true for boxers. But this is also serious, many centuries back, when warriors had to fight, but they also had partners. In the practical sense, a guy could have many orgasm’s without ejaculating, and it would last longer (which pretty much what many western people care about).

Ejaculating, is something which is unessary unless you want kids. It lessens a guys energy. That is why I have referred to it as a White Elephant in the artwork. White Elephant, is a satrical phrase. So if you haven’t got it already I taking the piss out of ejaculating. The text, “Once I ejaculate, the pillow looks better than my girlfriend does,” is a joke about what happens with ejaculations. A guy loses the sexual energy and interest in sex and sexual partner after ejaculation disappears.

Though all their exploits where not always as noble. Once the battle against the Europeans was lost, the Mexican Dogs headed back south and made a habit of killing men, and robbing banks. Their are rumours, they where under the pay of the Mexican Government to keep the old enemy, Texas as wild and untamed as much as possible.

(ANSA) – ROMA, 19 LUG – Le micro-societa’ che caratterizzano il tessuto imprenditoriale italiano nel 2008 hanno dichiarato al fisco un reddito medio di 17.000 euro.

E’ una delle particolarita’ che emerge da una lettura di dettaglio dei primi dati sulle dichiarazioni dei redditi 2008 elaborati dal ministero dell’Economia.

Ma su questo ha influenza il fatto che su 873.000 redditi da lavoro autonomo censiti dalle dichiarazioni 2008 ve ne sono 561.000 di professionisti (dagli avvocati ai geometri, dai commercialisti agli architetti) e 218.000 del settore sanitario e dell’assistenza sociale (quindi di medici e personale paramedico).

Tutte e due queste categorie hanno redditi superiori alla media: 43.880 euro i medici, 35.436 euro i professionisti.

  di Giovanni ALVARO - Una volta chi   vinceva e chi perdeva veniva   individuato dagli incrementi e dai   decrementi di voti rispetto alle elezioni   precedenti, o più semplicemente dai   seggi conquistati. Oggi non è più così.   Vince chi riduce le previsioni della   sconfitta e perde chi non realizza   quanto sperato o quanto, per tattica   elettorale, veniva sbandierato a destra   e a manca. In parole semplici: il PD   che prevedeva di lasciare sul campo il   10%, avendo perso solo il 7% rispetto
all’anno scorso o il 5% rispetto alle passate europee avrebbe vinto; il PdL che veniva dato sopra il 40%, avendo realizzato il 35% che è, comunque, un risultato superiore alla dote dei partiti confluenti, avrebbe perso. E’ una logica incredibile che cozza contro ogni regola di quella scienza che si chiama matematica e che chiunque sa utilizzare.
La verità è che non ci si rassegna all’evidenza dei fatti e si intende continuare sullo stesso terreno che del resto è obbligato fin quando alla testa del PD c’è Franceschini, fuoriclasse del nulla, difficilmente contrapponibile al leader Berlusconi, fuoriclasse del fare.
Certo, in politica vanno valutati non solo i numeri ma anche i percorsi realizzati per ottenerli. Dal sistema elettorale, alla valutazione dell’azione governativa o di quella dell’opposizione, fino alla violenza delle campagne elettorali costruite, a volte, su scandali anche presunti. Nel caso specifico: il sistema elettorale, essendo proporzionale, non è soggetto a letture equivoche o ambivalenti; secondariamente il giudizio della maggioranza dell’elettorato è netto sia per quanto riguarda l’apprezzamento dell’azione governativa, quanto per il rifiuto di ascoltare un’opposizione prevenuta, preconcetta e senza una vera proposta; e infine per la vergognosa vicenda del gossip, ch’è stata valutata per quello che effettivamente era, e cioè una lurida montatura decisa a tavolino dai guru dell’informazione italiana con quella estera di supporto.

Si può dire ciò che si vuole, finanche che   Franceschini abbia recuperato (!) anche   15 o 20 punti, e che il PdL ha perso 10   punti dagli ipotetici 45 propagandati, ma è   un imbroglio che resisterà si e no il lampo   di un mattino. Resta infatti la realtà di 29 seggi su 72 conquistati oggi dal PdL (40%) a fronte dei 25 su 78 delle elezioni precedenti (32%); mentre sul fronte del   nulla si scende dai 24 seggi precedenti agli   attuali 21. Ma che possiamo farci? La   sinistra è fatta così: fa sempre il gioco delle tre carte nascondendo non solo la verità della vittoria del proprio avversario-nemico, come fa il bambino che chiude gli occhi convinto che così il ‘lupo’ non riesca a vederlo, ma anche la vittoria del proprio ’nemico-alleato’, quel Di Pietro che si è mosso da vero cannibale tutto proteso a dilaniare il proprio ‘benefattore’.
L’altra vittoria netta, non frutto di atteggiamenti cannibaleschi, ma conseguenza di un forte radicamento sul territorio e di una lealtà governativa che la sinistra non avrebbe mai pensato potesse resistere, è quella della Lega di Bossi che, così, rafforza e rende inattaccabile l’alleanza moderata fortemente cementata da programmi e obiettivi condivisi.
Quel che non si capisce nell’attuale manovra diversiva della sinistra, è l’offerta, non richiesta e inutile, di sponde moderate. Mi riferisco a quanti hanno vissuto con angoscia il mancato raggiungimento del 40%, e lo hanno appalesato pubblicamente, sottovalutando il forte risultato del PdL che, a differenza, di quasi tutti i partiti al governo nei paesi europei, ha retto bene l’urto dei katiuscia sparati, senza soluzione di continuità, dalle postazioni tenute dalla signora Veronica, da quelle tenute da Repubblica e L’Espresso (per citare solo gli apripista), e da quelle rappresentate dalle sentenze che esplodono ad orologeria prestabilita
In Italia, dopo queste elezioni, si dovrà tener conto di un’aggregazione del 45,46% (PdL e Lega) e di un gradimento per Berlusconi che salta i recinti dei due partiti e coglie a man bassa nelle fila degli avversari.
