Well, using Bachmann’s technique of fabricating extraordinarily atypical situations in order to cast the other point-of-view in a negative light, we could easily say that by not protecting patient privacy, clinicians could follow a patient around for a solid six hours after her visit while playing an out-of-tune snare drum and forcing said patient to wear a giant sandwich-board that reads “I just had a pap smear conducted, and there’s a chance it could come back abnormal.” Because only slutty women go to Planned Parenthood in the first place. What? That totally could happen. 

B) Parents will never know what kind of counsel their children are receiving. Unless the “child” – great rhetorical use of the word you’re using to describe anyone from age 13-21 – I don’t know, talks to her parents. If you’ve created a household that is so stricturally bound to the highest degree of Neo-Puritanism in which the word “sex” is only used to define a woman as the “gentler” kind, then the issue lies with your uptight concept of child-rearing. I’d like to think we’ve advanced past the Victorian age.

And GHS didn’t even have a health center; unless you had a signed note from a parent (and everyone knew each others’ parents), you could have concomitantly been suffering from epilectic rabies and lunar Ebola, and you would have only received a band-aid from the office secretary and a lecture on “sucking it up, buttercup.”

E) In all seriousness, Planned Parenthood is not a cluster of abortion-indulging clinics looking to shove a needle into your uterus the minute you walk through the door, you crazy bitch, so quit perpetuating the glaring misconception. PP is one of the only resources women and men have to get the comprehensive sexual education you imbecilic Neo-Cons refuse to teach in schools on the grounds of moral repugnancy. I saw this over at Pam’s House Blend; Lurleen has been ALL OVER this R-71 nonsense. She wrote,

If he had actually READ my entire blog post, he would have seen what prefaced the lines he selected and quoted.
