Some of you googling nicktionary may have noticed that, for a brief spell of time, a nicktionary-only clone of this blog was available from baywords.com, the uncensored and watertight lovechild of WordPress and Pirate Bay.

Yes, I mean File Pirating Index Pirate Bay.

As well as wanting to find out if being able to brag that my is hossted by Swedish Software Pirates on a server infrequently seized by the authorities, I was searching for a nicktionary.bloghosthere.com where the bloghost really stood out as something not many people have heard of. And, primarily, I want customizable CSS for free. The Lust.

No customizable CSS, unfortunately. And no oppurtunity to submit a theme. Unlike, of course, sexy sexy tumblr, with all it’s trashy posting and my girlfriend.

However, I did discover a beautiful newspaper theme that’s perfect to run Willowgarth Independent News off, so WIN will be switching to there upon the commencement of Next Term.

The Fear.

Well, Nicktionary has now disappeared from Baywords and I’ve gone back to what I initially intended to do on Pirate Bay, which was to Pirate Bay all the music I’d bought that was lost with the spontaneous combustion of my hard drive.

I will stop neglecting to blog soon.

I just found out about this cool blogging service that is actually based on wordpress software. Baywords is a blogging created and maintained by the friendly people at The Pirate Bay. The purpose of this site is to allow bloggers the right of freedom of speech without their blog posts being taken down. Yet this only applies if the stuff that you blog about isn’t illegal in Swedish Law. None the less it is a great start for bloggers who write about contreversial issues. The great thing is that you can import blogs into Baywords and those who use WordPress should be used to the site because it’s based on WordPress. Now this doesn’t mean that I’m going to stop using WordPress. Why would I jump ship if it’s sailing smoothly? But if WordPress start taking down some of my posts, I’ll move this blog over to Baywords.

Wozu ein Browserwechsel nicht so alles gut sein kann… Da hab ich mich dazu entschlossen mal eine Alternative zum Firefox zu testen.. Den Flock – Flock ist ein Fork aus dem Firefox-Projekt und somit Plugin-kompatibel, allerdings verwendet er ein eigenes Verzeichnis in dem er seine Konfiguration ablegt. Somit hatte ich einen Browser, der gänzlich ohne Plugins – also “unzensiert” das Web zeigt.
Mancheiner wird den Geist dieses Artikels vielleicht nicht verstehen…  Mich hat es getroffen.. So ist dieses Blog schon von Beginn an als recht googlekritisch zu bezeichnen gewesen. Siehe hier

Wenn man dies in Betracht zieht, hat die entdeckte Google-Add symbolische Brisanz entwickelt.. Google guckt immer zu – links wird über das Googlemonster berichtet, rechts lacht die Google Anzeige. Links ein Screenshot vom gelöschten Googleaccount, rechts die Add…. Anfy und ich haben überlegt, wie wir auf diese Entdeckung reagieren sollen.. Eigentlich gab es nur zwei Möglichkeiten… Drüber schreiben, oder Baywords sein lassen und nur noch das wordpress.com blog pflegen…
Wir haben uns für erstere Möglichkeit entschieden, möchten nochmal dringlich auf einen sinnvollen Einsatz von Addblockern wie z.B. den von uns verwendeten hinweisen. Solche Addblocker steigern durchaus die Privacy – eine nicht geladene Werbung spart Ladezeit, lenkt den Leser nicht vom Inhalt der Seite ab, aber sie nimmt den Leser auch die Möglichkeit darüber zu urteilen, wie die Webseite zu bewerten ist. Auf einem großen Portal wie Baywords, wo die Nutzer keinen Einfluss darauf haben, ob irgendwo Werbung eingeblendet wird, ist dies sicherlich relativ irrelevant und die Vorteile eines Werbeblockers überwiegen. Auf Telepolis sorgte ABP allerdings schonmal dass ich ein kleines “Sponsored by Microsoft” übersehen habe.. Auf einem IT-Nachrichtenportal eine nicht unwichtige Information.

Ich für meinen Teil werde ABP weiter verwenden und mir angewöhnen meine Quellen ab und an mal ohne seine Hilfe zu laden…

The Pirate Bay has announced a new blogging website, called Baywords.com, that seeks to “protect freedom of speech and your thoughts.” This is yet another website, with more promised, created by The Pirate Bay with these ideals, the others including their main website and bayimg.com. The website allows any one to create an account and then to start a blog, which will be located at a subdomain of baywords.com. Those that currently host their blogs on another website with other blogging software, will be please to hear that they can import blog posts and comments from many different blogging systems. The site itself uses the latest version of the WordPress blogging system, so those that are currently blogging using WordPress should be very familiar with the system, and allows users to choose from many different themes.

The Pirate Bay ha estrenado Baywords, un servicio de blogging muy interesante en el que aseguran que no existirá la censura. El CMS es básicamente un WordPress un tanto limitado de momento, aunque irán añadiendo funcionalidades en el futuro.

Yo ya me he hecho un blog alli, veremos si próximamente merece la pena migrar a este sistema.

“Interneteando” (palabra que me gusta más que “navegando” y que me acabo de inventar) descubro que The Pirate Bay, la web más importante por lo que hace referencia al p2p vía BT, ha anunciado un nuevo servicio de blogs, llamado BayWords. Este hecho no tendría demasiada relevancia en un mercado de blogs prácticamente governado por Blogger y WordPress si no fuera porque pretende ofrecer un servicio caracterizado por su total tolerancia expresiva. Esto responde, según se puede leer en su homepage, al hecho que muchos blogs son cerrados día tras día por expresar ideas que pueden resultar “desagradables” a ojos del hosting.

A pesar que el site ya ha sido creado, lo ha hecho recientemente, por lo que aún no ofrece las mismas posibilidades que otros servicios de blogging, pero ello se hará haciendo progresivamente.

Το The Pirate Bay άνοιξε μια καινούρια υπηρεσία, το BayWords, διαμέσω του οποίου υπόσχεται να δώσει ελευθερία λόγου και προστασία από λογοκρισίες ή άλλου τύπου κυνηγητά. Βασικός όρος χρήσης…η μη παραβίαση Σουηδικών νόμων: “Many blogs are being shut down for uncomfortable thoughts and ideas. We will not do that. Our goal is to protect freedom of speech and your thoughts. As long as you don’t break any Swedish laws in your blog, we will defend it.”

Το BayWords βασίζεται πάνω στο WordPress. Προς το παρόν η υπηρεσία ακολουθεί μια μινιμαλιστική πολιτική όσον αφορά τα διαθέσιμα features, ωστόσο για το μέλλον οι άνθρωποι του BayWords υπόσχονται πολλές βελτιώσεις.

Η υπηρεσία θα υποστηρίζεται από διαφημίσεις ( λίγες υπόσχονται ) που θα εμφανίζονται στις σελίδες των blogs.

Το σημαντικό, βέβαια, δεν είναι πως θα γράφει ο καθένας ( εννοώ τι web application θα χρησιμοποιεί ) ή τι εμφάνιση θα έχει το blog του. Το σημαντικό της είδησης είναι ότι ο καθένας, πάνω κάτω θα μπορεί να γράφει ό,τι θέλει, αρκεί να μην παραβιάζει νόμους που ισχύουν σε Σουηδικό έδαφος. Καιρός να προμηθευτούμε σουηδικά νομικά βιβλία και να ενημερωθούμε για τους νόμους τους; Πλάκα θα είχε. Πιστεύω ότι δε θα χρειαστεί. Γενικώς οι βασικές αρχές και τα βασικά πράγματα που θα πρέπει να αποφευχθούν θα γίνουν γνωστά σιγά σιγά.

Ας ετοιμαστούν οι bloggers να γίνουν κακά παιδιά.

Από τη μεριά μου ελπίζω η υπηρεσία να χρησιμοποιηθεί κυρίως για την έκφραση ιδεών που σε άλλους web τόπους θα ήταν δύσκολο να δημοσιευθούν. Η εκμετάλλευση της υπηρεσίας αποκλειστικά για την πειρατία θα ήταν άδικο και θα μείωνε την αξία της.
