Ja tietty niihin kuulu ku Esa A tipahti pk-huoneen tuolilta. Oon siis kattonu sitä kyl melkeen alusta lähtien ja muistan hyvin tän ku Esa A tipahti. Niille ketkä ei oo kattonu vaik suurin osa varmaan on niin Esa A on sellainen hiljainen ja hyvin asiallinen niin siksi tää pätkä naurattaa! Today is nine-nine-nine, the day that the remastered collection of all of The Beatles’ albums and The Beatles:  Rock Band are being released for purchase.  Most people probably just assume that today, of all days, was selected for these releases simply because it’s cool that all three digits of today’s date are one in the same.  However, in all actuality, today was most likely chosen because the number nine had a very distinct significance to John Lennon.  He believed in numerology, as have many other rock stars (Jimi Hendrix and the number seven, for example), and was obsessed with the number nine – it literally controlled his life (think Jim Carrey in The Number 23).  I’m not going to go into detail about that; I just wanted to point it out.  If you’re interested in learning more, I would highly recommend reading Take a Walk on the Dark Side:  Rock and Roll Myths, Legends, and Curses by R. Gary Patterson – it is one of my absolute favorites, very intriguing and entertaining.

So – Happy Beatles Day!

Well, while everyone else was having fun today enjoying The Beatles’ remastered classics and Rock Band, I was sitting through forecast training in Connecticut.  It was a

three-and-a-half hour drive away one way, I had to be there and at the ready at 9am, and I didn’t get to leave until 3:30pm.  Yea, I got caught in rush hour both ways.  Let’s just say that today was definitely a very long day for me.  And the training was incredibly painful – as in having-your-toenails-pulled-out-with-pliers painful.  I mean, even after telling the guy doing the presenting that I have a Bachelor’s in Statistics, he still went through all of the basics (I was the only trainee).  It’s comparable to having someone today sit you down and insist on teaching you how to multiply, step by step, regardless of the fact that you told them that you already know how…for six-and-a-half hours.

Oh well, at least it’s over.

#5: mark teschner, GH’s casting director…this is your year!  congrats on the james franco coup, bringing back the original lucky, snagging zander, and the genius casting of GH’s next generation in the younger talents of michael, morgan, molly, and kristina.  bravo!

#4 louise sorel’s return to daytime.  i don’t think i really need to say anything else.

#3 sarah joy brown’s move from GH to B&B…after a lack-luster storyline, sjb went out with a bang (or thud) and turned up as the mysterious sandy on B&B (with slightly lighter locks).  while i’m new to B&B, i’m thrilled that sjb’s amazing acting talents are not going to waste.

#2 elizabeth hendrickson.  chloe is the grown up version of kirsten storm’s maxie on GH.  i love love love her – especially since her arch nemesis is the wretched mackenzie browning – the enemy of my enemy…yada, yada, yada.  bonus, the girl knows how to dress and can rock a short do w/o hair extensions…take that clementine!

#1 doug davidson: the future emmy winner continues to give nuanced performances as the detective with a heart of gold.  for a show where most of the male characters have no (or extremely broken) moral compasses, paul williams is the atticus finch of geneoa city!  witnessing his agony over the increasing madness of his sister patty is a thing of beauty!  here’s hoping the good detective can get a little lovin’ in the new year!

As I look at my watch it reads 3:51am, just back from a night of high testosterone street racing I find myself blogging to take off the edge before I lay my head on my pillow. Faced with  an incredible workload, tight timelines and the lack of good manpower, I’ve had to undertake a lot on my own. Well at least I am glad to say regular exercise has enabled me to keep illness at bay.

Today my ex-boss from the F&B company called asking who Shuying was and why she had been late this morning after several calls to postpone the timing. I reassured Francis saying that Inn Interior was reliable as they have their own workers and resources for the work and it was not just acting as a main contractor. The fact that Eric (my cousin) needs pushing did not help things, but a call solved it rather quickly. Followed by a call to Mark to close off on the cabling and Ray to handle the equipment as I will be travelling.

My days are starting extremely early and ending extremely late, but somehow I am amazed at where the energy comes from. Perhaps it is also the energy I got when I felt that I had a point to prove – that I am not a pushover and I will prevail. But somehow I truly wish I will get better luck, life’s never been easy for me but I’ve been truly blessed with some truly gems as friends and also my angel Shuying.

Although today she is no longer the first person I speak to when I call to wake her in the morning and also not the last person I speak to before I wish her sweet dreams I still find myself immersed in thoughts of her on a daily basis. My friends advise me to move on, and in a way I guess I have resigning myself to a life without her sweet smile. But one thing I can never do is to forget her or what she has done for me. If there was something I could change in my life, the Shuying chapter is definitely not it.

Before I end this entry I have to say tonight sitting in the car going at insane speeds round extreme bends I saw somehow my life flash before me. And I know my friends will shake their heads in disagreement when I tell them that Shuying was never far from my mind’s eye.
