No more wildin out… EVER. Remember that night that I stayed out til 5:30 a.m.? Well I got a fucking red light violation. Lame. I wish that shit didn’t take so long to process. My car is registered in my mum’s name and she kindly called to inform me of my $100 ticket that she received in the post yesterday. I guess that’s what happens when you’re rushing home cuz you have be at work in a couple of hours. Boo squared.

Last night was fun. I actually enjoyed Amit’s set. I got the news yesterday that Seminar is finishing. No more wednesday dnb night. I’m really bummed out about it. It’s been awesome to have, a local bar that I love, all my friends go to, and is a 5 minute walk from my house, be host to my weekly dnb outing. I’m just too fucking old to be traipsing around the city to go to dnb nights. I like to support my friends so I know I’ll still go out to dnb nights at other places but I can guarantee you it won’t be every week if it’s not within walking distance from my house. Sad. Sad that I’m a boring old cow and sad that my dnb weekly outings are finito.

It’s my birthday in two weeks. I love this time of year. I’m an autumn baby and love this season to bits. The greyness, the leaves all over the ground. Awesome. I pretty much dream of weather where I can wear just a hoodie year round but instead will settle for the months of September and October.

Future Sound of Cambridge Vol. 3 – Some nice tracks on there from the likes of Nu:Tone, Logistics and Commix. A couple of tunes that I’ve talked about before are on there. Dunno if I’ll be picking it up… Watch someone’s gonna play one of these tracks out and I’ll hear it on a loud sound system and be annoyed I didn’t buy it. Story of my life.

Today’s oldie: Jonny L – Moving Thru Air (Optical Remix) – XL Recordings 1998 I definitely was quite the Optical fan back then. I will fully admit that I had an all out dnb crush on him. I think mentally I was just on this gritty plane where I wanted my music to be raw and disgruntled yet melodic but not loud and noisy and to me Optical’s production was just that. Really great tune.

I work six days a week, monday thru friday at my 9 to 5 and every saturday at adidas.   When sunday gets here I try my hardest to be the laziest person ever.  Most of the time I succeed quite beautifully.  Yesterday I was in rare form.  I’m pretty sure I laid in my bed watching tv online for about 5 hours.  That’s what happens when you find a whole series online and it’s actually good and you really can’t find anything better to do with your time.

BBS Bookings has an awesome podcast. You should subscribe to it on itunes. Just search for BBS Bookings and it should come up. They are currently on #9. It features Radiata with Entro MC. Recently on BBP we had this “discussion” about emcees. I love Entro. He totally understands the art of when to be quiet to enjoy the track and when to hype up the dj and the crowd. There’s a lot of emcees that follow that path and that’s great. Unfortunately there’s a lot that don’t do that at all. I’m not gonna harp on this topic.
