Need some hair inspiration for your next party or want to know the latest trend in the world of make

Need some hair inspiration for your next party or want to know the latest trend in the world of make-up take it directly from the stars who grace the red carpet in fabulous gowns with gorgeous hair to match and a make-up to kill. Red Carpet is the place where fresh skin and gorgeous makeup catch our attention while hairstyles ranging from up dos to half up and half owns to cascading curls and loose waves- all give us a reason to keep watching. Got no time to sit and watch them on the idiot box No worries we did just that and deciphered the red carpet hair and make-up trends for you. If you are really obsessed with the classy look go for unfussy up do pair it up with timeless makeup that had a touch of shimmer on the eyes and orange-red stained lips. It will also look flawless with highlighted cheeks soft smokey eyes and glossy rosy-pink lips. Diane Lane and Natalie Portman were seen flaunting theses killer looks in one of the recent award functions. If we are talking about up do then Freida Pinto never disappoints us. Walking at one of the red carpets we loved her hair that complemented her minimal makeup. Soft liner and shadow blush to add a bit of colour and a matte pink colour on the lip. For more information Fashion Jewelry Collection and beauty related product, Hair Color Tips for Hair Color Tips and fashion deals online you can visit stylekandy.com

The very beautiful Jessica Biel was recently caught wearing a soft, wavy hairdo and kept her makeup only to her great skin neutral eyes and pink lips. With loosely curled tresses pulled half up Melissa George looked simply angelic and luminescent. Next to top the beauty trend is hair styled in long loose waves teamed up with soft smoky eyes which is a fine linear between lightly smudged eye shadow and bare looking lashes a sheer crimson lip will definitely going to complete the look. Amanda is one celebrity who has carried this off really well.

Jennifer Anistons look is also referred by the fashionist as for inspiration. We love her cheery beach-worthy look completed perfectly with a French braid to hold the front of her hair back. Her makeup always complements her very dewy skin peachy-pink cheeks and light pink lips. Closer home Bipasha Basu and Priyanka Chopra are some of the hot favourites when it comes to setting the trends. Their smoky eyes first made popular by actress Sophia Loren is most the appropriate for night wear as it uses dark colours and looks less natural. Makeup is simple sheer and age-appropriate and hair style is classic funky and sophisticated completing the entire look. Now that you enough options to choose from, here a word of caution while getting inspired is cool copying it will make you look like a fool.

Kolkata artist Sunita Kumar opened her latest exhibition at the Jehangir Art Gallery Mumbai inspired by her close associate and friend- Mother Teresa. I was worked with her for 32 years and continued till 1997 the fateful year when she passed away said a nostalgic Kumar. From her hometown she brings to life the sights and the atmosphere of her India. It an interpretation of the wildlife and nature the street scenes and architecture and the life of Mother Teresa. There is reflection and inspiration and the subject of so many of her paintings over the years the lady who has showed in Florence London Delhi etc explained.

To celebrate her showing in Mumbai Sunita hosted a cosy get together over high tea for friends co-hosted by Sharmilla Khanna. Some of the celebrities who attended included Farah Khan Bhavana Pandey Reena Wadhwa Komal Vazir Zarine Khan Rima Jain Hasina Jethmalani Prerna Goel Devaunshi Mehta Bose Krishnamachari Queenie Dhody Zeba Kohli Sangeeta Jindal Sangeeta Assomull Pria Kataria Puri Namrata Barua Kitu Gidwani Mallika Sagar Sangeeta Chopra Vimla Patil Veena Malhotra Guni Mohan Murjani Arti and Vijay Murjani etc. As coolers and canapes did the rounds so did Zeba Kohli specially designed Sunita Kumar chocolates with the artists signature translated unto them. The paintings of the Mother were a huge hit with the crowd with many being sold immediately.

Every day you are bombarded daily with commercial messages and beauty tips that attempt to lure you

Every day you are bombarded daily with commercial messages and beauty tips that attempt to lure you into believing that the most recent miracle drug is just what you need to fight off the ravages of Mother Nature.

The truth is we begin the aging process just as soon as we pop out of the womb. Every day of our lives our bodies slough off and regenerate new cells. The speed at which that process takes place when we are children is vastly different as we get older.

Here are some of our favorite beauty tips for keeping your skin fresh and healthy:

1. Stay hydrated and do it with plenty of water! That does not mean soda, caffeine or any other type of liquid, even if it is low cal. Soda (even diet soda) has a high concentration of sodium. Sodium retains fluids. You need fluid that will hydrate and flush your body free of toxins. Make sure you are drinking at least 8 glasses a day!

2. Protect your skin from harmful ultra violet (UV) rays. We all love the sun. We love being in it and we love having a beautiful tan. The truth is you can poison yourself with too much sunshine. UV rays cause skin cancer and if that isn’t bad enough it causes your skin to age faster than it should, contributing to unsightly wrinkles. If you must play in the sun, make certain you are using an adequate sun screen. Don’t leave home without it!

3. Keep your skin clean. Use a soft warm cloth. Skin does not require scrubbing. You will do more harm than good if you do.

4. The best cure for wrinkles is to never have them in the first place! If you are like most of us, you didn’t listen to your Mom when she tried to tell you to stay in the shade, stand up straight and stop squinting!

5. Eat healthy. Knowing how and what to eat, can make a huge difference in how you feel. Improper eating habits can cause depression, weight gain, illness and an overall lethargy.

6. Don’t worry, be happy. A happy outlook appears to trigger the release of endorphins. Endorphins relax the cardiovascular system and cytokines which alert the immune system to pay attention in detecting abnormalities like cancer cells. Listen carefully to yourself. If you have put yourself down since childhood, over a lifetime, negative subliminal messages can take their toll by turning you into a pessimist.

7. Sex After 50 – Ha! How many of you jumped ahead to this section?

Here are some tips to push back the hands of time and avoid wrinkles.

Drink enough liquids. Skin becomes dry and wrinkled if you lack fluids. However, not all fluids are good for you. Experts say the best one is water since it flushes out harmful toxins from the body and keeps skin beautiful inside and out.

The importance of physical intimacy actually depends on the couple. An alarming number of men used to give up on sex after 60 and many women used to feel that their sex life ended with menopause. Thankfully, that is no longer the case.

Sex at middle age can actually become better and more satisfying than ever before. Maturity gives a couple more experience in lovemaking. The children are usually grown and left home. The pressures of building a career and day to day life are usually less stressful than in younger years.

This is a pretty long post so most impt be patience read it till the end its useful. Drink a glass of water or go to the washroom first before reading it. (:

There is some food that are edible are able to help us on beauty process. As those skincare like flooding all over the streets are getting more and more expensive so why not use some cheaper and same useful products such as food that we ate everyday?

Infact, the percentage on using food as skincare is higher as there is discovery that skincare products might not be useful as what you think. There is some products that contain harmful chemical that is harmful for our skin/body.

Here are some tips I get from internet.

Venessa;

Eyes

Cucumber Eye Mask

- This must be one of the most widely used methods for eye nourishment. Place a thin slice of cold cucumber over each eye and relax for 15-20 minutes and it helps calm them down and help reduce dark circles.

Potato Eye Mask

-Every time you cook potatoes, save a few thin slices aside to use as eye mask. Lightly wet your eye area and lie back. Place the slices on your lower eyelids or just cover your eyes with them, and relax for 10-15 minutes. Just rinse your eyes after that and throw the potato slices into your compost bin. It helps reduce puffiness and dark circles. Cheap and safe!

Tea Bag Eye Mask

The next time you make tea, don’t just bin the tea bags. Lightly squeeze out the remaining tea and place the tea bag in a little container in the refrigerator. Cushion it over tired eyes can it can help reviving them. Also works well on bruised eyes.

Facial

Adzuki Bean And Rice Flour Paste Scrub

-This is a tip given by a nice lady who came to shop in the health food store I used to work in. She bought adzuki bean not for cooking, but to grind it fine and use it to exfoliate her skin. Because she finds ground walnut shells a little too harsh on her skin, and adzuki bean’s softer nature does the job just nice.

We like to mix the ground adzuki bean (soak them before you do so) with some rice flour and a little water into a pasty scrub. You can also just lather it up with some of your favourite cleanser.

Brown Rice Flour And Lemon Juice Mask

When I was little I used to help my grandmother rinse the rice, and often found my hands feeling really smooth and soft after that. I have also heard that some face powders use rice as an ingredient. So I have tried this and find it really works.

Mix 1-2 tablespoons brown rice flour with neat juice from 1 lemon into a paste. Do not filter out any pulp. Apply on to face like you would any other counter bought mask, and leave it on for about 10 to 15 minutes.

The beauty about it is, it does not give your face a tightly pulled feeling when it’s on, and I sometimes leave it on while doing other domestic chores. Feel soft and supple afterwards.

Full of vitamin C, it is great for oily skin – both revitalising and deep cleansing, and is a natural whitening mask. Doesn’t cost a bomb either!

Coarse Sea Salt And Honey Scrub Mask

This is a non-drying scrub that can be doubled up as a mask too.

Just mix 4 tablespoons coarse sea salt with 4 tablespoons clear honey into a paste. Scoop about 1 tablespoon out to scrub face gently in a circular motion, leave it on for about 20 minutes or even longer.

You can keep the rest in the fridge and save it for future use, especially when you have only little time to spare.

Corn Flour for Oily Skin

Simply dab some corn flour on skin like talcum powder or loose powder, then gently wipe off excess powder with a dry brush or tissue.

Honey Avocado and Oatmeal Nourishing Exfoliating Mask

Blend half an avocado (just the flesh, obviously) into paste. Add in 3 tablespoons full of raw, coarse oatmeal and 2 tablespoons clear honey. Mix it into a thick paste so that it does not drip. If it is too thin and runny, add in a little more oatmeal.

Take about 1-2 tablespoons to apply onto slightly damp face. Massage in a gentle, circular motion, especially on the T-zone. Once your face is warmed up, stop and leave it on for about 10 minutes. You can carry on with other things or just lie down and relax. When mask is cool, rinse it with warm water, again with a gentle massage.

This mask is very rich and nourishing, and is really great on dry winter skin. If you wish to use it more frequently, you can massage it only once. It is however, not suitable for oily skin or acne-prone skin.

The amount here should be enough for 3 uses, so keep the remaining mask in an airtight container and store in the fridge, for up to about 10 days.

Lemon and Honey Yoghurt Mask

1 tablespoon set plain yoghurt (even expired yoghurt is good, as long as it does not smell)
1 tablespoon set honey
Neat juice from half a lemon

Dilute the set honey with the lemon juice, then add in the yoghurt and mix it into a smooth paste.

Apply generously on to face and leave it for as long as you desire (it does not dry up), then rinse.

Lemon helps to even up skin tone, but if you do not like fair skin then you should leave it out. Both yoghurt and honey are really moisturising so the mask leaves your face feeling really comfortable after use. But if you have oily or greasy skin then this will not be the mask for you.

Hair & Body

Lemon Skin and Hair Softener in Hard Water Area

If you live in a hard water area, you will find your skin and hair really coarse, and powdery. Imagine the residue from the high calcium water sits on your skin and hair like those horrible limescale. A girl who worked in a healthfood shop (she has long, black hair that isn’t coarse at all) told me to use lemon in my shower and hair wash.

Just mix neat juice from half a lemon (sieved away pulps) into a pail of warm water, and use it as the final rinse. You can also do the same for rinsing your hair, but instead of half a lemon, use 1 lemon.

This will neutralise the alkalinity in hard water, and leave your hair and skin soft.

Yoghurt Bath And Soak Spa

Once a friend brought over numerous tubs of expired plain yoghurt from her shop and wonder what we could do with them. We took turns to spread ourselves with the yoghurt, from head to toe; and lie in the bathtub for 20 minutes with a scented candle lit up and hot cocoa on one side. Then rinsed thoroughly with lukewarm water.

Ultimate indulgence for the body, and our skin felt really soft after that. So don’t just bin your expired yoghurt. As long as it is not moldy, it can be used.

Frankly, my dears, this Spinster is tired of beauty magazines. They have become catalogs of product

Frankly, my dears, this Spinster is tired of beauty magazines. They have become catalogs of product listings and you never really know if the editors have even tried the products they’re plugging! And the prices for many of these products are simply outrageous. I’m just not going to spend more then $40 for a beauty product — and even that is pushing it for me!

The reality is that most of the products pushed on us don’t work, but we’d have to spend a fortune to keep testing so that we can find the ones that do. So, I thought I’d share some of my standbys with you because they’re inexpensive, I’ve been using them for years, and they do what they say they’re supposed to do. I don’t get any products or money (or anything) from any of the makers of the products I describe below. What I can tell you is that I’ve used these products for more then 3 years.

I’m hoping I can save you from that next big “miracle” product purchase when you really should be putting that money into your future security, and not buying into the marketing gimmicks that fuel an insecure quest for external beauty that is not going to bring you happiness or fulfillment. Remember: it’s the beauty industry’s job to make us feel that they can cure all our woes with their remarkable products. It’s our job, as smart women, to remember that this just isn’t true.

1. Baking soda + hydrogen peroxide (from grandma) to keep my teeth white and my gums healthy. I make a paste by putting a little baking soda in the lid of the Hydrogen Peroxide.

2. Baking soda added to any facial cleanser to make a gentle face scrub

3. Sea salt added to body cleanser to make a body scrub

4. Vitamin A+D Gel on cuticles and hands then put in cotton gloves and wear it overnight. When I wake up my hands look amazing!

5. Clinique Clarifying Lotion #3 has always worked to re-invigorate my skin when it looks sallow or uneven (costs about $15 for 6.7 oz).

6. Avon Clinical Eye Lift ($28) really does remove the dark circles from under my eyes when I use it, as directed, twice daily.

7. Source Naturals Skin Eternal Cream with lipoic acid, DMAE, c-esther, CoQ10 & HA. This cream has many of the same ingredients plugged by a famous skin guru in his really costly line of pharmaceuticals that are sold at Sephora. I get it at Whole Foods and it costs about $28 for 2 oz. I use it at night and wake up with a noticeable improvement in my skin texture and tone.

8. Triple Lanolin® Aloe Vera Hand and Body Lotion (Vienna Beauty Products) is, for me, the best hand lotion I’ve ever used. I found out about it because the ladies in my nail salon used it. It costs about $4 for 20 oz and I get mine at Sally Beauty Supply.

9. Lip Fusion products really work for me and I’ve noticed that they have made my lips permanently larger and plumper over the years.

By all means, friends, feel free to add some recommendations of your own in the comments section below!

Designer Sanchita Ajjampur was rewarded with the award for best designers category of female and Manish Malhotra got the same for males category. Lisa Haydon was selected as the best model in India. Kalki won an award for theatres. Anisha Beg received the trophy for the best television personality. The stylist of the year was Ambika Pillai who proudly thanked by saying I know I deserved it. Model Pia Trivedi got the maximum votes for television and VJ category but couldn’t make it for the evening. Zoya Akhtar was chosen as the best director and Mridula Koshi the best writer. The best Fun Fearless actress was none other than Priyanka Chopra who is apparently abroad at present.

This won’t come as a surprise when I would say King Khan was rewarded as the best actor of all time and Kareena Kapoor for the same in the female category. The last and the major one, the popular choice award went to India’s newest Barbie face Katrina Kaif. Katrina appeared in a golden black sequined Lacoanet Hemant dress spreading the glam effect all around Shah Rukh was formally dresses in a suit while Deepika carried an ash coloured longish gown. Present at the occasion, designer Narendra Kumar achieved his signature semi-formal look, retaining his signature panama hat. Shreyash Talpade, Ritiesh Deshmukh, Atul Kasbekar, Rahul Bose, Angad Bedi, Sahil Shroff, Dino Morea and Rahul Dev to present the awards. Art Alive Gallery will be showcasing a group show – Retrieval Systems – curated by Ranjit Hoskote along with five other contemporary Indian artists. The unique art collections are already on display at Visual Art Gallery from 19th November and will continue till 23rd November. The event will be shifted to Art Alive Galleryon 25th November. ‘Retrieval Systems’ brings together works by five contemporary artists namely, Alex Fernandes B Manjunath Kamath Baiju Parthan G R Iranna and Tina Bopiah whose approach is based on the secreting of clues and patterns that add up to larger bodies of remembrance.

The title of the exhibition borrowed its name from the information technology and indicates the electronic storage and access devices that extend our memory. Hoskote added, I would use the term retrieval systems to refer, metaphorically, to the archives of memory and reference that sustain the contemporary artistic imagination, which includes mainly the data that flows from the Net, mythology from various cultures, or the repertoires of art history. Among the five artists, Alex Fernandes works in the shifting terrain between portraiture and anthropology which presents a fascinating series of meta-portraits of Tiatristes – the performers who have kept alive one of Goa’s best-loved theatre forms. B Manjunath Kamath’s sculpture-installation and digital composites presents archaeology of family and community memory from history but with his touch of humour. A multi-part photographic installation by Baiju Parthan describes the meditation on an Indo-Iberian monument that encrypts autobiographical resonances and explores the interplay of dream and memory.

G R Iranna contributes three sculptural works to Retrieval Systems a maimed bell, a dissected boat, and a disarranged Buddha, re-configuring mythic resources and inherited symbolisms to interpret the present. The broken Buddha – Peace & Pieces – spreads the message of peace I wanted to convey the message of peace and healing which we people have lost in this world shared G R Iranna. Lastly, Tina Bopiah has placed a suite of paintings which meditate on the gaps and bridges between fantasia and collective self-representation.

Hi everybody. So, I found soething really cool, that made my soo happy. Ok, I think most of you awar

Hi everybody. So, I found soething really cool, that made my soo happy. Ok, I think most of you aware of this make up brand called Mark by Avon. Lauren Conrad’s choice and also she known as it’s representative. I tried to hard to find how you can get this make up, since I live in Canada and I could not possibly find any good make up except MAC and since I really felt like I wanna try something by Mark I had to find a way of getting it. On www.meetmark.com you can purchase things only if you are resident of United States, so for the rest of people it would be hard to shop since the only country you can choose there is US when regestering. Anyways, so I found this website, since i live in Canada they perfectly ship to Canada and its regular avon website, where you can choose products you want. Now, the price is a bit higher then on the meetmark.com website, but i mean you have to pay a price for something you want. Besides, they have whole bunce of promotions and deals… and presents at like if you spent $55 or $75 and so on. So the website is: www.shop.avon.ca, there you choose on the right hard side on the top Mark, and there you go, registration is fast and they have whole bunch of stuff other then make up. It’s a bit costly once you get everything you actually want, cause accessories, clothes and jewelry are there as well. And Seriously, I shopped once and i felt like im gonna take everything, total amount made me think twice, haha.

PS and they also got this crazy hook-ups that you can connect your favorite two products at one, like put mascare for example and lip stick as one and carry as one piece instead of taking two products separately. hope you’ll enjoy it.

The beauty industry spends millions to make us spend billions. I don’t know if it’s because my Dad

The beauty industry spends millions to make us spend billions. I don’t know if it’s because my Dad is a chemist, or because my Mum is a hippy, but I’d rather spend my money on nutritious, natural food than on prettily packaged chemicals that do sod-all.

Cheap body butter

I got some Body Shop coconut body butter for Christmas once. It’s £12 a tub for chrissakes. What’s it made out of, Unicorn blubber?

To be fair it made my skin much smoother than anything else I’d ever used. I took a chance on a £2 rip-off coco bean version from Wilkinsons. Bingo! Result. It didn’t smell quite as amazing but it was pleasant enough and worked just as well. I’ve since found that anything in a similar shaped tub from either Wilkos or the any of the major supermarkets work pretty much the same.

Olive oil and sugar

Unless you’ve already got the skin of a 12 year old, most commercial body scrubs are a waste of time. I need sanding down and re-wiring baby, not tickling with a feather!

The cheapest and best I’ve ever used is cheap olive oil and a handful of sugar. Rub it all over in circles and then wash it off in the shower. Follow with the body butter. That’s it!

I don’t use fake tan, because I tend to end up with a white arse and orange feet. But I would imagine the sugar/olive oil combo would be good for exfoliating knees, elbows and other lumpy bits.

You can also use pure virgin olive oil as a moisturiser on your face. Just rub a bit in before you got to bed. Much better than something with a rake of chemicals in.

If you’ve got spots, put one drop of tea-tree oil in a tablespoon of olive oil. I know, it seems wierd to put grease on your skin when you’ve got spots, but it really does help.

Finally, if the ends of your hair are dry, plait them, rub a bit of olive oil into the ends and shampoo it out in the morning. Use a nice smelly shampoo though, as the olive oil can be a bit strong.

Glycolic acid

Now this is the shit. It’s a chemical peel, the same as you would get at a beauticians. Only you can buy it from EBay for about £10.

It doesn’t make your skin peel off in strips or flakes. It just loosens a few layers of dead skin, which naturally come off over a few days. It’s absolutely brilliant, but you really do need to follow the instructions carefully. I’ve got indestructible leather for skin, and even I’ve managed to burn myself with it once or twice.

It gets rid of little wrinkles, dull skin and pimple scars. It also sort of brings all the spots up to the surface that are lurking under the skin, so you can look worse for the first week or so. But after about 5 weekly treatments your skin looks really smooth and young.

Mud Mask

I hate faffing around with gloopy cosmetics and crap like that. The idea of ‘pampering’ oneself makes me want to hurl for a number of reasons. So I’ll only ever wander around with a towel around my hair and crap on my face if I know it’s definitely going to work.

The only mask I have ever used that has more than a psychological benefit is the real deal Mudd mask. You can buy this in little sachets for about a pound at Superdrug and other chemists.

It’s real Dead Sea mud! And what it does is it tightens and hardens on your face, pulling all the oil and crap out of it. If you’ve got a great big angry spot, use the mask and you’ll find it pulls all the contents of the spot closer to the surface of your skin.

It is a pain in the butt when it dries, because it takes ages to get off. Your skin goes bright pink afterwards, so don’t do it before a date. But it really does make your skin look great.

Glycerine soap

The best cleanser I have ever used for my face is pure, unscented, uncoloured glycerine soap. It’s transparent, and you can buy it from Boots I think. I used to get mine from a shop called Temptations in Hanley, where I told fortunes on a Saturday. I had gorgeous skin then. I think being 24 might have had something to do with that, but the soap definitely helped.
