Los daños a cubrir rondan los 165.000 euros 

Madrid.- La aseguradora Zurich se enfrenta este martes al trago de que un juez acuda a sus oficinas a embargar parte de sus bienes debido a que la compañía no ve procedente atender el pago de la cobertura de una póliza. 

La víctima del caso es un ciudadano irlandés que adquirió dos viviendas en Benalmádena (Málaga) en el año 2005. En pleno boom inmobiliario, este inversor optó por cubrir la eventualidad de cualquier problema y suscribió un contrato con ACC Seguros (filial de Zurich) para asegurar las cantidades entregadas a cuenta.

La constructora Cogicoldos se comprometió a finalizar las viviendas en un plazo de 30 meses, pasado el cual la obra no se concluyó y la compañía, según fuentes jurídicas, declaró concurso de acreedores.

El pasado 7 de agosto el demandante reclamó a la inmobiliaria la devolución de los 126.980,05 euros que había entregado a cuenta, pero no recibió respuesta, por lo cual se dirigió a Zurich como aseguradora de dicha aportación.

Ante la negativa de la compañía de seguros a hacerse cargo de la póliza, el juzgado de primera instancia número 9 de Madrid ha ordenado, según un auto notificado el pasado 4 de noviembre, proceder al embargo de bienes a la compañía en el caso de que hoy, cuando el agente judicial acuda a las oficinas de Zurich, la empresa se niegue a pagar la cantidad adeudada al cliente.

A la reclamación realizada por el citado inversor irlandés hay que sumar otros 38.094,01 euros en concepto de intereses y costas del proceso.

El abogado del demandante, Javier Saavedra, explicó a este diario que las cantidades a atender por parte de Zurich pueden ser mucho mayores, ya que su cliente no es el único afectado, sino que hay otra veintenta de ciudadanos irlandeses atrapados por la misma situación.

Estos, sin embargo, han presentado su demanda en un juzgado de Fuengirola. De este modo, si los daños a cubrir para un inversor con dos viviendas rondan los 165.000 euros, para los 20 pisos de la promoción la cifra a abonar rondaría los 1,6 millones.

La compañía alega, por el contrario, que no habrá embargo alguno y que lo que sucederá hoy será que recibirán la notificación de la demanda, tras lo cual la compañía facilitará un número de cuenta que garantice la cuantía y estudiará los mecanismos para su defensa en este caso.

Benalmádena is a town and municipality in the province of Malaga, on the Costa del Sol. Benalmádena is located between Torremolinos and Fuengirola and has around 55.000 residents, although this dramatically increasing during the holiday seasons as it is one of the most popular destinations on the Costa del Sol for Northern Europeans.

As with much of the Costa del Sol, Phoenicians, Romans the Moors have previously had settlements in the area. There are also 2 ‘Almenara’ towers that were built in the 15th century to guard the coast from North African pirates.

Like many areas of the Costa del Sol, the area has in recent years has been subjected to an unprecedented level of urban expansion catering to tourists from Spain and many other parts of the world.

Benalmádena itself is divided into 3 geographical areas.

Benalmádena Pueblo is located 3 km inland and is located 200m above sea level. Like Mijas Pueblo it is white village, although unlike Mijas, the more recently built properties follow a more modern design and, in this author’s opinion, detracts from its traditional character.

Arroyo de la Miel (Stream of honey) was originally a separate village south of Benalmádena pueblo and located nearer to the sea. In recent years it has become the main residential area of Benalmádena and has several attractions including Tivoli World, an amusement park and a cable car going up to the Calamorro Mountain.

Further down to the coast you will find Benalmádena Costa. This area, like Arroyo de la Miel, as been heavily developed and is the main tourist destination in Benalmádena. This is clearly seen by the large amounts of bars, discos, shops, etc… It also contains a large marina as well as the SeaLife aquarium and the theme park Selwo Marina.

For the more spiritual, Benalmádena has the honour of hosting the largest Buddhist Enlightenment Stupa in the Western World. It measures 33 metres and was the final project of Lopon Tsechu Rinpoche, a highly regarded Buddhist Master.

After a nice drive along the Costa del Sol, we will climb the main road at San Pedro towards Ronda.

We pass trough beautiful mountain scenery of the Serrania de Ronda and after an hour drive we will arrive at the spectacular Andalucian town of Celtic origin.

 The town is split in 2 sections and was built on a platform cut by the Guadalvin River in the Tajo gorge, which has a depth of up to 100 meters.

 The Puente Nuevo(new bridge) connects both parts of the town and was built in the 18^th century. Upon arrival we will pass first the Convent of San Francisco from the 16^th century, then the Puerta del Almocabar, from the moslin period and the gate of Carlos V, which lead us into the most typical part of Ronda.

 Before crossing the Puente Nuevo (new bridge) we will have the chance to visit a real andalusian house from the 19^th century: House Don Bosco. Close to the the Plaza de España, the centre of Ronda today, is the bullring, built in the 18^th century with the original ring founded by Felipe II in the middle of the 16^th century. This bullring is the oldest in the world and it was here where Pedro Romero established the actual form of the bullring in the 18^th century Inside the bullring area is also a museum.

Situated in the tourist center of Torre del Mar, in the Axarquia region of Malaga, located on the Paseo Marítimo de Poniente, just 300 meters from the town centre and shopping area. Torre del Mar is one of the main touristic resorts of the Costa del Sol. Located in the eastern part of the Coast, the town is the beach resort of Vélez-Málaga, capital of the Axarquia region.

There are unsubstantiated claims that Torre del Mar once formed part of an ancient Greek settlement known as Manake which is believed to have been destroyed by the Carthaginians, prior to the arrival of the Romans. We can enter directly to the Calle del Marques de Larios, or Plaza de la Constitucion and Calle de Granada, to do some shopping, to go on a food tasting spree or to just generally soak up the distinct favour and culture of Malaga’s city centre. The Calle del Marques de Lairos is a historical centre of the capital. The narrow streets will lead us to small and nice squares, where we can admire and discover architectural and religious treasures – churches, museums and Baroque buildings. Why not visit the Picasso Museum?

Nerja, half day € 27 each, during this excursion you will explore the Nerja’s Caves famous for their fascinating array of stalactites and stalagmites. A natural archaeological cave with world’s widest column, you will come across wall paintings dating on the Palaeolithic and post-Palaeolithic periods. After that visit, you will go directly to the village of Nerja to see a famous Balcon de Europa, situated in the centre of the old town. It was constructed in 1487m. We also will take a walk through the narrow streets of the commercial centre, across the Plaza del Carmen to visit El Salvador’s church, that is a mixture of mudejar and baroque architectural styles. There, you can have a rest in shady pavement cafes, bars or restaurants drinking a coffee or taking some ice-cream or something stronger!

Nerja, Andalucia.

Granada, full day € 62 each Granada, a city full of magnificent history and architecture, and nice people and tasty cuisine. Granada was the last Muslim city in Spain to be conquered and retains its unmistakable Moorish flavour. During this tour you can visit an ancient Jewish quarter, El Albaicin, also the royal cathedral, built in 1523 with the tombs of Queen Isabel and King Ferdinand, called the Catholic Kings. You cannot avoid seeing San Jeronimo monastery and Santa Ana’s church on the Sacromonte Hill. The most brilliant jewel of Granada is surely the Alhambra and Generalife – it is a complex of magnificent palaces and gardens constructed chiefly during the 14th century under the Nazari Dynasty (Moorish dynasty). After lunch, you will be transferred back to your 4* hotel.

Cordoba, full day € 52 per person, the city of Cordoba is a very special place. As the capital of Al-andalus, it stood as the most powerful and significant city not just in Spain, but also in Europe during the “golden age” of the Moors. Cordoba also boasts a rich historical background – Iberian, Visigoth, Roman, Moorish, Jewish and Christian civilizations contributed to Cordoba’s unique personality and vitality. During this day you can visit the grand Mosque of Cordoba, which is one of Spain’s historical and architectural treasures and among the most visited sites in the country. Its marvellous design and its graceful columns and delicate arches are a wonder to behold. It is, without a doubt, one of the best examples of Islamic architecture in Spain. Cordoba offers us also a wealth of historical treasures that caused it to be declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, e.g. La Juderia (Jewish Quarter), a quaint and authentic setting of flower-filled patios and cobblestone streets. Besides of it, Cordoba has a lot to boast of in terms of culture, music and art, like flamenco and bullfighting. After lunch, you will be transferred to your 4* hotel.

Seville, full day tour € 60 each, departure by bus to Seville. Upon arrival, you will take a panoramic tour of the city with local guide, visiting the most important and interesting places. Of the major cities of Andalusia, Seville is one of the great cosmopolitan cities. Of course you will find the true taste of Andalusia. Two good sites are the Triana neighborhood and La Carbonería bar, one of the most famous places to hear authentic flamenco. Seville is the largest city of Andalusia and its political capital. Historically, during the sixteenth century shone as the port where the expeditions departured to America. Legend tells that the gold looted from America was kept in the Tower of Gold and is still at the Guadalquivir shore. The strength of the Alcázar offers good examples of Muslim design but focuses on many adaptations of Christianity, like other similar monuments in Andalusia. The Cathedral of Seville was once the main mosque of the village, but the only Muslim monument is the Giralda, transformed by the Christians in a church tower. It is possible to climb to the top of the Giralda and have a 360-degree view of the city. Learn about the famous neighborhood of Santa Cruz, old Jewish quarter of Seville, the Archivo General de Indias, the Cathedral and the Reales Alcazares. In the afternoon you will have free time in the Plaza de España and Maria Luisa Park. Meet two of the most important religious buildings of Seville. Visit the Museo de la Basílica de la Macarena, where the “Queen of Seville, Virgen de la Macarena, and explores the Convent of Santa Paula, where you can taste the cakes and jams made by nuns. The visit includes guided tour with local guide, entrance to the Giralda and Reales Alcazares.

Mijas, half day tour, € 23 each, historical guided tour tracing its Arabic history, Mijas is located in the interior on a hillside of the mountain of the same name. At this site stands as a large balcony overlooking the Mediterranean, Mijas is immersed in a mountain landscape, houses on the streets are beautiful whitewashed buildings, including some churches and hermitages. There are many archaeological sites, witnessing the rich prehistoric past of the town. Lunch at a restaurant in the area. Free afternoon for the discovery of Torremolinos where history has left many corners of popular taste, such as the district of La Carihuela sailor, and abundant traces of its rich past, including the Torre del Homenaje or Fuengirola which preserves within its design corners full of character and charm. In the center of town you will see The Square of the Constitution (s. XIX), where stands the church of Nuestra Señora del Rosario. On a nearby hill by the mouth of the Fuengirola river, stands the castle of Sohail.

Gibraltar, half day € 27 each, day excursion to Gibraltar. Departure after breakfast. A Minibus is waiting you in Gibraltar to visit Mount Tarik as the Arabs called the Rock of Gibraltar, now a nature reserve which hosts valuable wildlife, especially “cute” dotted monkeys, entrance to the reserve. Well I was quite chuffed this weekend when I picked a local paper called the Sur in English. It looks like that the Costa del Sol is still the most popular place to live. Can’t argue with that, heel I just moved here! I was a bit put off when Fuengirola was not put on the list, but someone left a comment saying:
“Not that it affects the real point, but showing the increase in towns on a league table is a little misleading. For example Fuengirola is one of the smallest municipalities and is just about fully built, thus any substantial increase in population would be impossible……….”. Fair point I thought. Especially since Fuengirola covers 10.2km and as 2006 has 62,000 inhabitants. Benalmadena covers 27km and has a population of 50,000 inhabitants. Anyway here the article.s

It has never been a secret that Malaga and the Costa del Sol are the places where half of Europe would like to come and live, but the results of a recent study by the La Caixa banking group, which has produced demographic statistics for the last five years, clearly identifies the growth areas.
The figures, which are based on the numbers officially registered with the authorities, show that between 2003 and 2008 Mijas, Benalmádena and Estepona have seen increases of more than 30 per cent, while Manilva has jumped by 82 per cent and Benahavís by 60 per cent. Inland areas such as Cártama and La Viñuela have also risen steeply.
Other more remote areas, perhaps less attractive to foreign immigrants, have fallen. Teba, Cuevas del Becerro, Alfarnate and Cañete la Real have all lost between two and three per cent of their population.
In the same period the overall population of Spain has risen by just over eight per cent, proving once and for all that Andalucía and in particular the Costa del Sol is the only place to be.

Tijd om nog eens een teken van leven te geven na deze maandenlange stilte En ik heb meteen mijn best gedaan, ‘t is lang

Ik ben ondertussen nog niet zo lang terug van een deugddoende vakantie in Benalmádena. Daarvoor moest ik alweer mijn vliegangst overwinnen… ‘t Was dan wel maar ongeveer 2u30 vliegen, maar zelfs dat is voor mij al te veel. Hoe ik het ooit 13u in een vliegtuig naar Amerika met een hele hoop turbulentie heb uitgehouden, ik begrijp het nog altijd niet  Maar goed, eenmaal aangekomen, deden de Spaanse zon, sangria, paella en de zuiderse manier van leven de vliegreis al snel vergeten.

Een absolute must-see is de haven van Benalmádena, Puerto Marina.

Puerto Marina

Vooral ’s avonds bruist het er van de sfeer. Deze haven werd trouwens meermaals verkozen tot mooiste haven van Europa. Leuk weetje: Antonio Banderas had er ooit een luxueus appartement, maar is moeten verhuizen omdat de paparazzi de muren opklommen om een glimp van hem op te vangen. Nu woont hij in een villa in Marbella en ligt zijn jacht daar in Puerto Banus. Die haven bezochten we ook even kort, en daar blijken de bootjes en de bijhorende auto’s nog veel groter en duurder te zijn dan in Puerto Marina.

In Benalmádena hebben ook enkele andere bekenden (weliswaar van een heel ander kaliber als Antonio Banderas) hun stekje: Aad van Toor, de acrobaat uit ‘Bassie en Adriaan’ en Corry Konings, een zangeres van het Nederlandse levenslied. Ik kende die laatste eigenlijk niet echt, maar toen we rondliepen in Puerto Marina, kwamen we ineens uit op het ‘Corry Koningsplein’, waar de zangeres een tapasbar geopend heeft. We zijn er wel niet binnen geweest – door het raam zagen en hoorden we iets te veel dolgedraaide, dansende Hollanders op leeftijd… We hebben onze avond verdergezet in de Kaleido, waar we mijn verjaardag vierden met veel te dure cocktails

Verder deden we ook een daguitstap naar Gibraltar, en gingen we er op en in de bekende rots.

Op de rots werden we vooral geëntertaind door de bekende apen van Gibraltar. De legende zegt dat zolang er apen op de rots leven, Gibraltar in handen blijft van de Britten. Die apen zijn allesbehalve mensenschuw. Rondlopen met eten in je handen was niet slim. Mijn vriend heeft het laatste deeltje van zijn frisko (na een klein gevechtje ‘man versus aap’) vriendelijk aan één van de beestjes afgegeven.

In de rots van Gibraltar ontdekten we St Michaels Cave, indrukwekkend. In de zomer wordt deze grot zelfs als concertzaal gebruikt.

Ook een zeiltocht stond op ons programma. We dachten daar even leuk op het dek te zonnen, maar dat was buiten de wilde zee gerekend! Na 5 min. kregen we al een ijskoude golf over ons heen. Dààrom bood de kapitein ons dus jasjes en dikke pulls aan toen we vertrokken… Verder was ‘t een leuk tochtje. Mijn vriend mocht zelfs een tijdje aan het roer staan als een echte zeebonk

Zeiltocht

We maakten ook La noche de San Juan mee, een feest dat Spanjaarden op het strand vieren om het begin van de zomer te vieren. Rond middernacht nemen ze een frisse duik in zee, om hun zonden af te spoelen.

Daarnaast deden we de typische dingen die vakantiegangers doen: luieren aan ‘t zwembad, cervezas en sangria drinken op een terrasje, veel eten, souvenirs kopen voor de thuisblijvers, op ‘t strand liggen,…

In de tuin van ons hotel

Oh ja, de laatste dag was er ook tijd voor wat sport. Met dank aan onze goed geïnformeerde Neckermann-reisleidster, die ons liet weten dat de bus naar de luchthaven ons kwam ophalen aan een bushalte, terwijl hij eigenlijk aan ons hotel stopte. Gelukkig hadden we de bus zien passeren en zagen we hem in de richting van ons hotel rijden. Maar ik verzeker je, in de brandende zon met je reiskoffer achter een bus aan hollen is allesbehalve aangenaam! En ons hotel lag dan ook nog op een steile heuvel…

Ahora mismo no tengo el tiempo necesario para hacer una entrada como se merece el Salón del Cómic, Manga y Juegos de Estrategia de Benalmádena. Pero puedo deciros de momento dos cosas:

La primera, es que me lo pasé muy bien, y la segunda es que es increiblemente divertido salir de fondo en las fotos xP:

Jejejej, bueno, a esta chica al menos, la conocemos. Es mas divertido ponerse de fondo en fotos de gente que no sabes quien es x”D Igual que es también muy divertido ver a gente posando de fondo cuando ves una foto tuya ^^ -bueno, por lo menos a mi me gusta -
