We have had quite a few requests to provide décor ideas to hide unsightly air conditioning units in

We have had quite a few requests to provide décor ideas to hide unsightly air conditioning units in gardens. Badec Bros Deco specializes in feature walls, such as gabion feature walls. These designer walls are ideal to hide air conditioning units, unsightly views, or ugly old walls, without having to remove the existing wall.

We manufacture our gabion walls from 30mm x 3mm angle iron, which is welded together to ensure a strong frame. Then we weld strong, steel mesh onto the frame to create the shape of the wall. Once the hollow wall structure has been manufactured, we install it on site and fill it with pebbles, slate stone or chunky quartzite gravel.

Alternatively, we can also construct mild steel feature walls and add intricate detail to the surface of the steel to decorate it. There are three finishes to choose from. We can powder coat the feature wall in any colour imaginable, or we can apply mild steel finish or a rusted finish. Our powder coating is SABS approved.

Badec Bros Deco can also manufacture mild steel screens. These screens can be used to create privacy or to hang Cubedec hanging pots or hanging sculptures onto. We can customize our mild steel screens to any size and shape and with a wide range of finishes, such as powder coating in any colour, mild steel finish or a rust effect or even wooden cladding.

Should you wish to have your very own signature Cubedec feature wall, steel dustbin, interactive sculpture, Cubedec shelving, Cubedec miniature Zen garden box, 2010 Soccer World Cup décor, mild steel lamp shade, mild steel screen, Cubedec laser-cut logo, gabion counter, narration stand, gabion light cage, gabion bollard, gabion water feature, sculptured living wall, sculptured flagpoles, unique pot and drip tray, customized sculpture, Cubedec bench, trendy steel décor with your company logo emblazoned on it, mild steel inspirational slogan, steel laser-cut signage, mild steel mould, Cubedec Pot, hanging sculpture, gabion pot, gabion wall or gabion terrace, wooden or steel feature poles, bar code trellis, Cubedec water feature, pergola, arch, sculpture or trellis, please feel free to contact our energetic and knowledgeable sales representative, Mareleen van Zijl, on her cell phone at 078 800 5112, the office number at 012 460 7990, or via e-mail at mareleen@badecbros.com

I made these sculpted benches a couple of weeks ago but could only put them on sale recently. There are five models with different wood textures: Plywood, Mahogany, Oldwood, Birch and Pine. Bench itself is 4 prims, with poseballs for three persons, it makes totally 7 prims. Very realistic and natural looking. The poseballs have three different high quality sitting animations.

All models can be seen at Esperanza Gardens but you can also buy them from Esperanza Mainstore too.

The latest in the series of useful beautiful items goes out into the wild… Or the garden at least. But not boring garden tools for us, this is about relaxation in your own little oasis.

Pretty much the whole point of a garden is to have plants, but merely planting them in the ground? That just lacks imagination. This little dog planter is not only cute, but unlike the real thing, there is no cleaning up to be done. Bone-us!

£25 from amazon

Watering the garden can be a chore. This little watering can means you can palm the job off on the kids by pretending it’s fun! And like the Alessi lemon squeezer from Not so dirty pretty things, when your friends come round, you can pretend it’s a piece of sculpture.

But isn’t it worth it? Bird feeders normally look horrid, and not everyone has the space for a bird table so why not treat our feathered friends to a meal at the avian equivalent of The Witchery rather than the usual McDonald’s level outlet.

Firepits make for a great garden party. The warm glow of the fire complimenting the warm conversation. They are also perfect for roasting marshmallows over. But what about when they are not in use? The blackened pit can often look a wee bit manky. So step in the firepit/coffee table combo. When not in use, the lid hides the charred pit and provides someplace for you to put your latte.

Benches are great for sitting out in the summer sun, but where to put that all important glass of vino? Putting it on the ground is out of the question, it could be kicked over, the dog may try to drink it, not to mention the ants (and perhaps even aunts). But never fear, help is at hand; boot the snotty child from the middle of the bench and pop the centre section up into a handy little table.

Just six more to go, and here is the last of our smaller-state gems. Oklahoma, a state for barely a

Just six more to go, and here is the last of our smaller-state gems.

Oklahoma, a state for barely a century, has a fantastic sports legacy. There are so many candidates to be the featured player. There’s Johnny Bench, Mickey Mantle, Willie Stargell, the Waner brothers, Allie Reynolds and quite a few others.

If not for the strict rules about being born in the state, they could add Warren Spahn and Carl Hubbell, who lived most of their lives in the Sooner State. And there was a pretty good athlete who played some major league ball named Jim Thorpe who was born in Prague.

But I want to talk about Bullet Joe Rogan for a bit. Wilber Rogan played in the ’20s and ’30s and, on top of being one of the very best pitchers in the Negro leagues, was also good enough to bat cleanup when he wasn’t pitching.

As a pitcher, he was compared to Satchel Paige. Casey Stengel, who played against him in Army games, said the hard-throwing Rogan was one of the best pitchers who ever lived – if not the best. As a hitter, Buck O’Neil compared Rogan to Ernie Banks. He could run, too. He later managed and even umpired for a while. It took many years before he was finally inducted into the Hall of Fame, in 1998.

When he’s not pitching, of course, he goes into the lineup. The outfield is pretty well spoken for with Mantle, Stargell, the Waners and several others, though we could move Pops or Big Poison (or Rogan for that matter) to first base. Rogan also played some second base, kind of a waste of that great arm, but putting him there would provide maximum offense for the Oilers – not that they need it.

Two managers born in Oklahoma have won a World Series. Al Dark made it to the Series with the Giants in 1962 and a dozen years later completed the A’s three-peat. But Al is the regular shortstop here. And besides, Bobby Cox is the runaway choice.

Cox will be a Hall of Famer as soon as the veterans’ committee meets after his retirement next year. His playing career was short, lasting just from 1968-69 with the Yankees. He was a teammate of Mantle’s in ‘68 and roomed for a while with another player on this team, Bobby Murcer.

People mostly talk about Cox regarding his ejections record – he’s just short of an entire season’s worth – and the performance of his teams in the playoffs. But he did win 100 games six times, tied with Joe McCarthy for the most ever. He’s going to retire as the fourth-winningest manager of all time.

This is going to be a contender for the whole thing. With Rogan, they have an ace pitcher to go with Allie Reynolds. The lineup is well balanced. When they get to the tournament, they’ll be mighty tough.

Most houses have a spacious indoor storage. Everything from cabinets and closets, attics, rubbermaid, and garages to be there to organize your life. But when it comes to storage outside, there is not the same kind of resources. Certain types bench with, rubbermaid, storage compartments built, so entertainers backyard gardeners, rubbermaid, and their tools of the trade to keep out of sight but close at hand.

Of the many options for a storage bench, building material is exactly the same as that of other types of outdoor benches. Seats are made of wood, wicker, resin and more. Obviously, heavier materials, rubbermaid, such as stone and concrete will not work, rubbermaid, in the housing and a kind of inner space, but even this can be lower shelf under the seat of the bank.

Many o the storage benches specially designed for this purpose and outdoor use are made of very sturdy plastic and rubber, such as the Rubbermaid brand. These materials will keep your goods protected better than anything else from moisture, insects, mold and more.

However, rubber is a, rubbermaid, kind of thorn. Wood, a traditional choice for outdoor furniture works well outdoors and is free to adjust to the elements. Thus, cedar and pine, if maintained,, rubbermaid, rubbermaid, with regular oil, very strong. The best wood money can buy, though, should be teak.

The so-called "king of hardwoods' produces natural oils that protect against rot, insects and more, making teak furniture virtually maintenance Fri If you choose to go with a wooden bench, the design possibilities are almost endless. Some banks have low backs, some have Backless.

Many banks have armrests, not a lot. Others still, especially indoors banks, have soft cushions for extra comfort. Functionally,, rubbermaid, the uppermost part of the bank is not really important at all. It is what is provided under the agreements are.

To be classified as a storage bench, a chair that just need a kind of space for storage. And there is virtually nowhere else to make things fit, but under the seat of the bench. Depending on which model you buy garden bench, the, rubbermaid, storage compartments differ in the way they look and operate.

For one there is the hinged bench. These banks open as either a piano stool, from above, rubbermaid, or from the front and one set of cabinets,, rubbermaid,, rubbermaid, on a hinge, and revealing, rubbermaid, a recessed space inside. These banks work best indoors, unless you are sure that your, rubbermaid, hinges are made of rust-resistant hardware.

These types of banks are broadest because a large space that the entire area under the saddle to the ground, rather than include separate compartments. There are also drawers, drawers and baskets that pull out or slide. Some models have bench sliding drawers that pull out on a rail, as dresser drawers.

The types of storage boxes that are not connected to the bank are often based on a lower shelf under the seat. These compartments can be great looking woven baskets to wood buckets, the last of, rubbermaid, that solid line with the bank itself. What is useful about containers resting, rubbermaid, on a shelf under the bench, instead of a slide mechanism that they can easily be taken and then moved drawers attached.

Even if separate from the bank, the baskets and wooden containers may look fine on their own land. If you prefer a bank, to hold a large spots are the hall, room and breakfast nook, or where you a little extra storage.

It had the air of a preseason game by the start of the fourth quarter. Raptors head coach Jay Triano had 5 non starters on the court in an eight point deficit to the Denver Nuggets, losing 130 – 112 in an embarrassing display of poor defense and severe bench mismanagement.

Carmelo Anthony, Kenyon Martin and Nene Halario accumulated 67 of the Nuggets 130 points, completely dominating the Raptors starters at both ends of the floor. J.R Smith also had an impressive 29 points off the bench in just 21 minutes of playing time.

The loss was another defensive collapse by the Raptors who have now allowed 109 points per game, 2nd worst in the league. It also showed Triano’s potential weakness as a coach as key players like Rasho Nesterovich played just 8 minutes while Nugget big men were scoring easily in the paint. Demar Derozan had a good night on paper, but his 17 total points came when the score didn’t matter and Anthony schooled the rookie for most of the night. Anthony was suffering from a migraine headache and still managed to dominate Toronto at both ends.

“My legs could work,” Anthony said. “As long as I could run up and down that court, I was good. One of those Doug Moe games. It ended in the third quarter, though. In the first half, we were trying to outscore them. We was going bucket for bucket. We got together at halftime and told each other we didn’t want to play like that. In the third quarter, we played old Denver Nugget basketball, getting up and down the court in transition, playing defense . It was easy for us.”

The Nuggets also managed to cool down Bosh’s game, holding the Raptors forward to just 13 points. Bosh still managed to put up a double-double by grabbing 14 rebounds, his eighth of the season – but his inside game disappeared and Triano’s team settled for jumpers while allowing the Nuggets to score almost at will.

“They were physical on Chris Bosh, they were bumping him all night and he only got two free throws,” Triano said. Denver head coach George Karl had the same thought.

“Keeping Bosh under control was huge,” Karl said. “Maybe they went away from him some, but it seemed like he never got a personality.”

The Raptors are now 5 – 6 and play the Jazz in Utah tonight.
