****

Almost non-stop singing! I love this movie! ‘Chuckawalla Swing’ is a great song!

A bunch of Mormons have to leave their town and take their wagons to a valley on the other side of a river. Two cowboys help them find the valley and sing songs and dance. They meet other people on the trail but some of them have guns and don’t help with the singing and try to shoot them and steal the barrels. Then they get in their wagons and follow the cowboys and go through the desert and sing more songs.

Dad kept whispering things in my ear like ‘. . . Bert Glennon’s deep focus photography’ and ‘. . . one of the first films with lens flares’, but he didn’t make much sense.

The movie had no babies, but it did have a lot of horsies! I like horsies!
