Christian Louboutin Lace & Suede Booties

I have been lusting over these Louboutin booties since September; hence, being my 1st Item of the Week.  Need I say much about Louboutin other than he has, by far, kicked Manolo Blahnik out of the race more than 3 years ago.  His designs are feminine yet trendy, stylish and breathtaking.  These elegant lace and suede booties will be the statement of any outfit, but come with a hefty price tag.  I love how they are reminiscent of boots worn 1800’s and can still be worn in 2010!  Found at Beymen, Four Seasons Nile Plaza.

The Nautical Blues, Reds, Whites, Ropes, and Anchors are back!  I knew that the nautical trend was bound to come back, but I wasn’t sure how soon.  Everywhere I look around me I keep seeing the preppy look making me want to be cruising the Mediterranean on a yacht.  The Chanel Resort 2010 Collection brought back to me the nautical look.  As per a Style.com editor, ” the sequence took off into matelot – and gondolier-inspired stripes, interpreted in long-line fine-knit cardigans and playful beachwear with funny red and white striped wedge booties.”

I love mixing and matching around with the nautical look.  An all stripped outfit or an all plain outfit in different colors.  Red shorts, a white tank and a navy blue cardigan (any combo of the three colors) look great together and achieve the goal.

I am so happy jean jackets are back!!!  They are perfect to be worn with a long colorful maxi dress in the summer.  An all white outfit looks fabulous when adding a denim jacket to add a little color.  They add a bit of a rugged edge to a girlie outfit.  So search the back of your closet, dig up your jean jackets (or go buy ones..below are some places where you can find JJs), and rediscover this staple.

Gold & Silver threads, glitter in all colors, it seems to me that its a new trend.  All that glitters doesn’t have to be gold and silver!! Sequins can come in any and all colors, so look around, but be TASTEFUL.  What i mean by be tasteful, make sure not to overdo the glitter in the wrong occasion.  During the day, one can accessorize with gold & silver shoes and jewelry.  But full on dresses, tops, and pants…make sure its an EVENT.  Below are some pictures i have come across while surfing the net….and then some more of the trend you can find around Cairo.
