Ripp and Redd: Hustlers and Players

When it’s too early for the club to come alive, or perhaps too late and the crowd begins to wane, what would be any DJ’s ace in the hole, his one trusted trick up his sleeve? How to turn the evening tide from the worse to the electric, stimulating, intensifying pleasure all have been waiting for with baited breath the entire evening? In two names and one act, blood brothers from the Panhandle State, Ripp and Redd. Hailing from the greater Jacksonville, Florida area, this duo alone can generate the jumping sounds of bass, the enamoring melodies, and the adept delivery of lyrics unparalleled known to mankind. Who knows, perhaps even the extra-terrestrial are somehow tuned in to become part of the pair known as  the life of the party.

Ripp and Redd came from modest up bringings, but it wasn’t their lot in life to be held down by anyone or anything. No, talent on their level simply could not be suppressed by man or circumstance. With a small loan to the local music shop, Ripp purchased his first keyboard, laid down some notes, and history was made. Within a matter of one year the duo had already taken an astronomical leap in the market under the moniker, 4 Deep. At some point, the unity of the act began to meander and the two brothers alone remained.

Scouted by Joe Stern-McGovern and Terje Himberg-Larsen of DJ White Shadow fame, the duo were swept to the west coast’s San Diego in a quest to create their first official album. Due to circumstances beyond control, all was put on hold for a year as various matters were straightened. Meanwhile, Ripp and Redd continued to forge their own destiny, never failing and never quitting at what they knew was their life calling. In the interim, Ripp and Redd put out no fewer than 4 outstanding singles which rocked the region from east to west, and north to south.

You Cannot Stop the Unstoppable

By the close of 2009, Universal Soldier Records, a division of Universal Artists, International, had undergone a change in their methodology through the assistance of the likes of the late, great Casey Rankin of Japan’s legendary Pure-Records, as well as fielding suggestions and tutelage from Sony Records and Warner Bros. insiders who had the skill and maturity to assist the struggling independent label.

With the reconstruction of Universal Soldier Records came the active partipation of Universal Artists, International. With the restructuring came the first great, official step for Ripp and Redd as the pair joined Birmingham, Alabama’s renowned, Black Flock Gang, also known widely as BFG, on their first compilation album, Radio. Featured fourth on the roster of hits, Ripp and Redd cut loose with their full momentum in the raucous single, Get 2 da Money. Even prior to the release of the album which would come to be known as  Radio, word from insiders at EMI, Virgin, and Interscope assured us the album being an assured success, in part due to the continued and strenuous efforts of Ripp and Redd.

A force such as Ripp and Redd isn’t likely to play second fiddle to any act, although their bond with the Black Flock Gang will certainly be a strong one. Audiences can look for the future release of Ripp and Redd’s own debut yet to be named sometime early next year. Rumor has it the album will most likely be distributed by a major within the US, or some powerhouse from abroad. Nevertheless, one thing is certain, whoever backs the duo is one lucky entity, as these two cannot and will not accept anything less than full-fledged success on a level yet unimagined.

“When I first met Yung Breeze, he was a struggling youth who had a great sense of pride, an enormous gift of expression, and a knack for conveying his particular genius through the local street venacular of the areas hoods and ruffians. Originally recording at one of the illest and most infamous studios in the shadier side of town, Psyche Ward, Yung Breeze was picked up and developed by the genius of the wonder twins, Boss and Ripp.” Collectively, these forces of the city’s darker and far more dangerous neighborhood known as Southwest Houston, Soufwest to the locals, have come to the forefront in recent days.”

Joe Stern-McGovern can personally vouch for the validity of the young anti-hero as through his entrancing telling of the first photo shoot the act was to experience as the entity which would come to be known as the Soufwest Brigade, or simply, The Brigade, led by street veteran and surprising genius given his circumstances, DTA, “Don’t Trust Anyone”, a meeting in which the photographer was so terrified, he insisted the photo shoot take place in broad daylight in a local downtown Houston city park.

True to his name, DTA came to generally distrust those who held the strings to his future as well as his cohorts, and the split was made as DTA went MIA and Yung Breeze continued the journey on the road to stardom solo. For those dedicated and loyal fans of DTA, fear not, he is yet in his prime and will surely rise back to the surface given the timing, motive, and opportunity, as his tales are of equal importance to those of any and must be expressed through the venue known widely as hip hop.

Currently holed up in Al’s “In the Jar Studios”, Yung Breeze is deliberating the path of his next turn towards truth and the betterment of society and the world around him through analysis of the streets and the general feeling of the times.

“Youths such as Yung Breeze sadden me in a way,” states Joe Stern-McGovern. “He’s just about the age my son would’ve been had he lived, and upon reflection it fills me with a sense that somehow I, as a part of society,  have failed our younger generations, leaving them to inherit a world abandoned to greed and the mismanagement of our leaders and botched policies of the government, an entity whose best intentions are questionable.” Those who have chosen such selfish ends will now come to face the fury and ambitions towards societal justice and self-correction from the likes of DTA, Yung Breeze, two halves of the Brigade.

Christian: In Your Minds and In Your Face

Joe Stern-McGovern, global agent and President of Universal Artists, Interntional,  and Shaka of Shaka Productions, have made of their smarter moves to date by bringing into the fold a young, quick tongued genius named Christian Levi, or simply put, Christian. Hailing from Bessemer, Alabama by way of Brooklyn, New York, Christian’s venture into the world of hip hop and Dirty South has certainly spanned polar opposites. He’s played both sides of the Mason-Dixon Line, while sitting on the fence of neither, proving victorious on all accounts, in spite of his youth of only 24 years.

A short locked, tall young man, Christian cuts a handsome, light skinned figure fresh and ready for the cover of Gentleman’s Quarterly in a suit by Hugo Boss. In a quote from Lil’ Damian, “Simply put, Joe Jonas cannot rap! I’ve said it before, I’m going to say it again, ole’ thick brow can’t hold a candle to my rhymes.,.”

In response, Joe Jonas was alleged to have stated, “No mystery at all, considering I’m a singer, duh, and not a rapper…”

Joe Stern-McGovern of Universal Artists, International fame predicts this will go down as the greatest controversy since the OJ Simpson Trial of the 90s, and perhaps the resulting fall out of the infamous Rodney King verdict which led to the LA Riots and sparked uprising and looting across the nation.

DO of the Black Flock Gang

You may call him DO, you may call him the Deacon, but whichever moniker you prefer, you must pay heed to the Poet Laureate of the Streets, blood brother to Mouf Piece of da City, and one half of Birmingham’s legendary duo, Dem Hard Headz.

Word from every corner has it this enigmatic icon will soon take wing with microphone in hand, launching into a furious lyrical lashing which is certain to bring even the most jaded, hardened soul to bow down to his power and dominance. This is not idle chatter, friends, this is not bravado, this assertion is grounded in a proven track history of freestyle battles, adept delivery on the mic captured on film, and the throngs of fans who mob the dimly lit backdoors to each nightclub he plays in an attempt to catch even the briefest glimpse of the legendary and darkly mysterious icon with his corn rows down.

An elusive character often spoken of as possessing the wisdom, power, and stealth of a black jaguar in the Amazon, at heart DO is surprisingly down to earth. A creature molded by his years on the tough streets of the Magic City, his lyrics are filled with insight into the trials and tribulations of a portion of society which goes largely unnoticed and neglected, except for in the eyes of entities such as local and federal law enforcement.

Hard Headz: Blood Brothers

A solid example of his roots might be found in his coming smash hit, “Cash In”, with older brother, mentor, and all around savvy Hard Head, the oft spoken of highly and widely, Mouf Piece of da City. In the high octaine cocaine based single, DO proceeds to break down the underworld of cocaine, a realm in which the search for sheer and immediate satisfaction through “white china” creates an element of the hopeless, strung out, and addicted, as well as the accommodating dealers poised, as the song takes point of, to “Cash in”. 

On DO’s mark, the field has assembled in legions to futilely attempt to trump this poet laureate. When asked how he feels about the jam up of so called opponents, the Deacon just smiles, sits back, and proceeds to pop open another chaser of Budweiser. With the nickname the Budweiser Kang, DO shows no fear of the perils of this world, as through a supreme sense of confidence, he senses no fear. Perhaps out of a sense of haughty superiority which has evolved through years of walking up and down the block stomping over the competition, his confidence is as warranted as it is appropriate.

DO: Poet Laureate of the BFG

In the debut of BFG, the CD certain to take the world by storm, Dem Hard Headz pair up with the FAM Boy$, whose ranks include Facts, Lo, and the most infamous citizen of Birmingham by way of Adamsville, the honorable and worthy Hood Shuttlesworth. The collective known as Black Flock Gang  gather for a round at stardom beyond the pale of imagination. 

Word has it their subsequent mind bending stab into the psyche of the general public will follow with the future release of a compilation album, brain child of Joe Stern-McGovern and Shaka Productions of Universal Artists, International. Partial proceeds of the album will go to fund the agency’s concern for the issue of pediatric AIDS. Filled with a social conscience as well as the skills which level the competition, DO is filled with heartfelt kindness, coupled with pride and professionalism. He is able and ready, and promises to devastate any negativity or hate so prevalent in the field known as hip hop. His casual yet poignant manner has replaced in its stead an image of social awareness and compassion for his culture, people, and the community as a whole.

The Throne of Stars remains empty. For three hundred years no one has has claimed the seat of the Galactic Empire. The last three centuries war consumed the length of the galaxy, with no clear winner in sight.  Now an unusual alliance of bitter rivals may change may place a young Duke on the Throne of Stars. But can he trust his new allies, his bride to be and survive the perilous journey from his home world to the very center of the galaxy? Will a new order rise out of the Ruins of Empire?

As the United States comes close to the end of yet another year mired down in what appears for all purposes to be a fruitless and senseless pursuit of security and freedom without solid basis or foundation in Iraq, it must ask itself, how much longer to wander aimlessly down this road without without clear end in sight? Swept into a dream state, a nightmare of neither sleep nor rest, it wanders pointlessly throughout a hostile land which hasn’t changed in culture or resentment since the close of the second world war and the dismantling of the days of naked colonialism.

In America’s blind pursuit of economic latitude, and longevity of the securement of reasonably priced crude, it has inadvertently fallen pray to a foe it had once believed itself worthy of side stepping the second time around, entrenchment and siege, such as it had experienced on the level of Vietnam. In spite of the U.S.S.R.’s history of similar suffering and beleaguer in their occupation of the troublesome and perilous nation of Afghanistan, the US continues its drive into the region, threatening to ignite the ire of a people legendary in defiance of any power which fails to recall its opposed mindset in search of its own sovereignty and freedom since the days of the Khyber Pass.

Throughout the sixties and early seventies, Generation X suffered the daily bombardment of images of the Vietnam War broadcast from pitch battle and directly piped into their living room’s television sets. The throngs of protestors, largely known today collectively as baby boomers, sought freedom from propaganda, secrecy, and war. They proceeded so loudly and defiantly, they unwittingly forced the proverbial powers behind the throne to take notice to the extent they would pay heed to such lessons and censor future generations of Americans.  Perhaps they’ve reverted to secrecy to stave the threat to national peace given the reality of polar extremes of political,  moral, and ethical thought, but their public reasoning seems veiled and questionable.

Again, as the year draws close to the end, we are left to ponder the question of an end to all of this. Do we truly believe this will draw to a close with any Congressional Act for withdrawal given the seeds we’ve planted throughout the region? Yes, for all purposes it will appear we’ve weathered the storm, but have we truly, and at what future cost? What does destiny hold for generations to come in a region notorious for religious, cultural, racial, and political conflict since the beginning of time.

Does the cradle of civilization reside within the borders of Iraq, or is it the bath of chaos, the source of churning conflict, and the slaughter mill of not only our youth but theirs?

In the sad, telling music video, “Johnny Get Your Gun,” written, directed, produced, and edited by Joe Stern-McGovern, and performed by A-Dub and Lil’ Chase, the story told is that of a youth of today swept abroad into the conflict in Iraq. The video shows the progression and doomed fate of Johnny as he transitions from fear, insecurity, despair, and then oddly boldness, only to find his end at the conclusion story’s end. Narrated by his grieving friend (Lil’ Chase), Johnny’s (A-Dub) sad letters home are read to his worried mother throughout the song’s chorus. It’s touching, heartfelt, and inevitable conclusion to a story thousands have come to realize in this tangible world.

Please join us now as Joe Stern-McGovern and Universal Artists, International, accompanied by Shaka Productions, present to you the beautiful and haunting music video, “Johnny Get Your Gun,”  a recurring theme which seems to trail America since the days of its inception. 

When will we, or anyone else, ever truly be free? How long will this violence continue? Where is end in sight? How many more of our brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, and friends will continue to bear this senseless grief in a muddied and oft questioned conflict? Support our troops, but who in their right mind could support a concept so miserable as war, by definition a pall on the blighted soul of mankind?

A-Dub & Lil' Chase

Snoskommers zijn de laatste dagen erg populair op mijn weblog. Er wordt gigantisch vaak naar gezocht. Speciaal voor alle liefhebbers van fictionele groenten heb ik uitgezocht wat snoskommers precies zijn. Sommigen zeggen dat het komkommers met acné zijn. Ik zeg niet dat deze groentelogen ongelijk hebben.

Walgzaam en rottelijk
Een feit is dat snoskommers (in het Engels snozzcumbers) gigantische afmetingen hebben. De kleinste is ruim 2,5 meter en de grootste tikt net geen vier meter aan. In plaats van helemaal groen zijn de snoskommers in de lengte zwartwit gestreept. Ze zitten onder met een soort van wratten. Voor de GVR (Grote Vriendelijke Reus) zijn snoskommers het belangrijkste voedingsmiddel. Omdat de GVR overtuigd vegetariër is en geen ‘menselijke bonen’ wil eten, moet hij zich wel voeden met de snoskommers. Iets anders groeit er immers niet in zijn directe omgeving. Lekker zijn de snoskommers niet. De GVR zegt er zelf dit over: “Snoskommer is ook niet lekker, het is walgzaam en rottelijk”.

Braakneigingopwekkend bitter
Wat de smaak betreft – en daar kun je over twisten – schijnen de snoskommers braakneigingopwekkend bitter te zijn en ziekwordend zuur. Gelukkig kan de GVR de snoskommers wegspoelen met fropskottel, een lekker prikkelend en dorstlessend drankje. Helaas heeft fropskottel een eigenaardige bijwerking. Je wordt er namelijk erg winderig van. Die winden worden flitspoppers genoemd. Ze stinken niet en zorgen er voor dat degene die een wind laat een flink eind de lucht in vliegt.

Nosi ono dumne imię Deimos X10. Jak już wcześniej wspomniałem maluch nam trochę wyrósł ponad normę. Ma on aż 18,4 cali przekątnej ekranu. Nieźle. Do tego posiada dwie karty graficzne wykorzystujące technologię SLI. W dodatku producent pozwala nam wybrać model karty do zamontowania. Mamy do wyboru GeForce 260M 1GB albo GeForce 280M 1GB. Wybór może być trudny. Jako procesor możemy sobie wybrać dowolny procesor z rodziny Core 2. A więc może to być Core 2 Duo P8700 2,53GHz, Core 2 Quad Q9000 2,0GHz lub nawet Core 2 Extreme QX9300 2,53GHz. Podobnie stoi sprawa z RAMem. Zależy tylko od nas czy będzie go 4 czy 8 giga. W zestawie jeszcze oczywiście kamerka internetowa Bluetooth, WiFi, wyjście HDMI oraz nagrywarka DVD (opcjonalnie napęd Blu-ray). Naprawdę duża zabawka dla dużych chłopców.

Pozostajemy w klimacie FPS-ów.  Tyle, że z kosmicznego Dooma przenosimy się do – też  znanego na Retro – Kadabrze klimatu – II-ej wojny światowej, ale z pewną domieszką futuryzmu i alternatywnej wizji wydarzeń.  Do gry stworzonej przez Polaków z Mirage (po fuzji z Corwin Software Studios). Oto Mortyr.

Nawrócony profesor

“Hande Hoch!” wykrzyknął Helmut w kierunku pochłoniętego lekturą wojskowego uczonego z Laboratorium Broni Zaawansowanej. Ten nawet nie podnosząc głowy skwitował okrzyk kwaśną miną, po czym dodał od niechcenia: “Helmut, znowu śrubki Ci się poluzowały?”. W sytuacji braku wyraźnej odpowiedzi profesor wpadł w furię. Zaczął warczeć: “Dość już mam współpracy z tymi cybernetycznymi nazistami! Pora ratować świat!” …i walnął niemieckiego żołnierza-cyborga młotkiem. Mechaniczny nazista osunął się na ziemię. Profesor uśmiechnął się.

Tyle, że jak się miało okazać tekst na rozluźnienie o ratowaniu świata wkrótce miał przybrać rzeczywistego znaczenia. Otóż generał profesor Jrugen Mortyr któregoś dnia podczas przeszukiwania państwowych archiwów, natknął się na zastrzeżone pod karą kastracji (ulubiona forma rozrywki blondwłosej młodzieży) drzwi.

Siła ciekawości przezwyciężyła najgorszą formę kary i wkrótce oczom Mortyra ukazał się klucz do sukcesu Trzeciej Rzeszy sprzed ponad 150-ciu lat. Ciekawski profesor, po cichu “nie przepadający” za totalitarną doktryną Hitlera, odkrył wehikuł czasu. Urządzenie, które zapewniło Trzeciej Rzeszy zwycięstwo w najbardziej krwawej z wojen w XX-stym wieku. Również i maszynę, która zapoczątkowała popularną dziedzinę badań Niemców w 2093 roku – zakrzywianie czasu.

Potwierdzając sprawność wehikułu czasu profesor Mortyr uknuł misterny plan odwrócenia losów historii – odcięcia nazistów od koryta przez wysadzenie wehikułu czasu w 1944 roku, a przy okazji zaprzestania prac nad zakrzywianiem czasu, które destrukcyjnie wpływało na klimat.

Osobą, która miała się tym zająć okazał się niejaki Sven Mortyr (tu i ówdzie znany jako Sebastian), doświadczony komandos, duży fan BJ Blazkowicza, a prywatnie syn profesora Jurgena Mortyra. Młodzian pospiesznie wepchany do wehikułu czasu nie zdążył nawet powiedzieć słowa kiedy stał już u progu wrót Trzeciej Rzeszy 1944.

Dużo broni, jeszcze więcej wrogów…

Po tym dosyć smutnym wprowadzeniu do świata, w którym rządzą naziści, tak naprawdę nie będzie czasu na kontemplację.  Plac boju poczujemy już na samym starcie rozgrywki, ale w naszym bohaterskim osamotnieniu pomagać nam będzie bardzo pokaźny zestaw broni.

Poza klasycznym pangermańskim nożem, Sven wyposażony będzie jeszcze w niezbędnik każdego Niemca czyli P-08 Parabellum, a także w karabiny: idealne do walk w zamkniętych pomieszczeniach MP-40 Schmeisser oraz do walk w otwartym terenie MG-42.

Poza tym przy użyciu miotacza ognia Mortyr będzie mógł pogrillować nazistowskim mięsem, a i laser  z LP-072 stanowi dosyć niezłe cacko na zbrodniczych wykonawców hitlerowskiego nurtu. Przy używaniu półautomatycznego karabinu maszynowego zaleca się rozwagę bowiem jego naboje są w stanie oddać po rykoszecie, zresztą nie inaczej jest przy CKM-ie Gehenna, który należy stosować tylko na długim dystansie. Arsenał Mortyra zamyka tzw. kontroler umysłu przy którego pomocy możemy “namówić” dowolnego szkopa na współpracę oraz broń plazmowa będąca odpowiednikiem znanych fps-owych BFG.

Mało? To nie koniec! Polacy z Mirage zadbali o to aby obok podstawowego wyposażenia Mortyr miał do dyspozycji jeszcze kilka trików dodatkowych. Zatem po drodze będzie można pozbierać nieco sprawnych granatów, a ciekawostkę stanowią fałszywe dokumenty, których umiejętne wykorzystanie pozwoli nam na oszukiwanie nazistów, a w efekcie ich cichą eliminację.

Różnorodnie przedstawia się także wachlarz naszych przeciwników.

Być może szczeniakami po owczarkach z zamku Wolfenstein są Mortyr’owskie owczarki alzackie. Tak jak i wspomniane pierwowzory są szybkie i upierdliwie, ale ich wyeliminowanie nie stanowi większego problemu. Podstawową jednostkę stanowi za to Scharfuhrer wyposażony o dziwo nie w parabelkę, a w MP-40. Problemem nie powinni być nazistowscy snajperzy, którzy robią za dożo szumu  przy każdym strzale z Mauserów, co umożliwia ich łatwą lokalizację.  Na naszej drodze staną też Rottenfuhrerzy wyposażeni w MG-42, w dwóch wersjach: z możliwością przemieszczania się i w wersji stacjonarnej.

Parabelkę na wyposażeniu ma Untersturmfuhrer, ale porusza się on zawsze w otoczeniu silniejszej obstawy. Za to Volksturm Sturman potrafi nieźle się rozerwać częstując dużą ilością granatów, a taki Oficer Gestapo co prawda nie podejmuje walki, ale jest jedynym z obozu pokrak Trzeciej Rzeszy, który jest w stanie zidentyfikować nasze lewe dokumenty i wezwać przy tym pokaźną grupę wsparcia.

Inną parę butów stanowi zestaw wrogów bardziej futurystycznych. Nie zdradzę zbyt dużo jeśli napiszę, że Sven poza rokiem 1944 będzie musiał stoczyć też kilka pojedynków w teraźniejszym 2093, a tam czeka na niego silny opór.  Tak naprawdę w walce z ciężkimi druidami bojowymi, biocyborgami, wieżyczkami strzelniczymi i tigerami trzeba będzie wystrzelać tonę ołowiu, a i to nie gwarantuje dobrych efektów. W tym momencie poziom trudności jest zdecydowanie wyśrubowany… przynajmniej dla tych graczy, którzy nie lubią wyzwań .

Zakres przedmiotów charakterystycznych dla FPS’ów, które będą nam ułatwiać rozgrywkę stanowią w Mortyrze tradycyjne: porozrzucana amunicja, apteczki, różnego rodzaju pancerze (hełm, kamizelka kuloodporna), bardzo przydatna latarka, noktowizor czy sprzęt określany w ludowym wojsku jako afront na “pogotowie gazowe”.

Łącznie do penetracji w Mortyrze otrzymamy 30-ści poziomów.

Dobre, bo polskie

Zdaję sobie sprawę, że umieszczenie Mortyra w bazie gier Retro – Kadabry obok samych znakomitych tytułów, ponad wszelką miarę będzie budzić kontrowersje, bo i w roku premiery gra nie tryskała rewelacyjnymi rozwiązaniami audio-wizualnymi, zachowując mocno przeciętny poziom.

Co prawda muzyka zawarta w grze pojawia się tutaj w formacie CD Audio (w tym czasie to już standard, ale i jeszcze w tym roku zdarzały się tytuły “wzbogacane” warstwą midi), a za pewne urozmaicenia stanowią takie smaczki graficzne jak m.in. zmiany pogody podczas naszych misji. Tyle, że po Mortyrze chyba oczekiwano ciut więcej…

Niemniej tytuł ten to przecież polska produkcja. Co prawda nie mogąca konkurować z zagranicznymi hitami, ale stymulująca wiele dobrych skojarzeń, a także i mocno klimatyczna. Dla mnie posiada jeszcze jeden szczególny wymiar gdyż  pierwszy raz zagrałem w nią w dniu wielkiego święta Świata Gier Komputerowych – setnego numeru pisma, w którym właśnie Mortyr stanowił za pełną wersję gry.

Musisz sięgnąć jeśli… lubisz klimat II-ej wojny światowej w FPS-ach i nie jesteś zbyt wybredny .

Facts of the BFG: Let's Do This

In 1985 or there close within, a young rapper named LL Cool J burst onto the scene with his fresh, innovative, and ultimately brash single, “Rock the Bells” under the label Def Jam. Who could possibly forget such classic lines as, “You bring the woodpecker, I will bring the wood”? Our favorite line from the single, however, would be that of, “I will battle anybody, I don’t care you tell…” And with such a boast, LL reigned supreme for years with Earl, the DJ whose hand was like a shark’s fin on the wheels of steel.

There has been enough smack talking from the likes of many platinum heavyweights to last a lifetime, and frankly, Universal Artists, International and Joe Stern-McGovern, global agent and President of the company, have decided it’s time to call all bluffs, to stop those who would deal from the bottom of the deck, to prove their own worth, and to reign supreme, just as their ancestor, LL Cool J, did in the mid-80s. With an eye towards cornering the rap market by somewhere around 2014, Universal Artists, International has announced to the world, “You think you can touch this, you talkin’ to me, well then let’s cash battle, sucker DJs”*.

Beginning January 2010, Universal Artists, International’s heavyweights, Black Flock Gang aka BFG from the self-titled smash CD, BFG, and their oft featured artists, Christian Levi and Ms. Kesha Lee, will set out on the road to battle all comers to prove their dominance in the highly competitive world market. Sucker DJs globally, be prepared to be shut down, to have your mama thoroughly disrespected, to bow your heads in shame, and to wipe those saline tears of miserable failure away as you have your proverbial asses handed to you Dirty South Style courtesy of the BFG.

DO: Ain't No Other

Is this a claim on behalf of the notorious, infamous, and supreme BFG that the South trumps east, west, and midwest? Certainly not. Why might one ask? Simply said, with the versatility of the BFG, they consider themselves masters of every variation, bringing due respect and paying homage to each in their own way. Not only will the Black Flock Gang break out in verse to make the hardest of the Eastern seaboard suffer whiplash, they will rock the richter scale until California falls off and into the ocean as the next largest island of the world. If they fail to show restraint, California might entirely become the next Atlantis.

Fans Awaiting the BFG Concert

Sucker DJs of every realm, bow down in reverence as the kings who came to save the game pass before your mortal eyes. You name the place, you name the date, you name the style, and watch yourselves stepped on like a petulant red ants on a picnic blanket. The BFG will demand nothing short of your full measure of respect. Show them a line and they will cross it in a minute. If you can see them, it’s too late to run.

“Disciples of soul, godfathers of rap, our rhythm is down as your mama is whack,” claims Japan’s lead envoy for Universal Artists, International. Yes, the BFG have already made their way overseas and leveled the best the Japanese market has to offer in exhibition shows against some of the greatest styles in the manner of Ludacris, Lil’ Jon, Slim Thug, Ice Cube, and even the tattoed poet himself, Lil’ Wayne.

No one can bring the energy of the BFG, no one can match their verbal skills and delivery. The BFG will make a grown man cry to any of the numerous beats by Tiptonville, Tennessee’s own A-Dub, conqueror of crunk and his cohort, 731 joker of Lake County and pop’s answer to the age old question of the chicken and the egg, Lil’ J.

Is this challenge by Joe Stern-McGovern of Universal Artists, International belligerent? Not at all, it simply underscores the supremacy and dominance of the BFG for any of the unenlightened, ill spoken, disrespectful, or simply “act a fool” MC. Like Hammer said in his time, “Can’t touch this,” and from the likes of Public Enemy, “Don’t believe the hype,” and Vanilla Ice…well, let’s not even go there…

In words of caution from those under the Shaka Productions camp in Birmingham, Alabama, “Man up, fool, check your D, because you’re ’bout to feel the fury of the BFG, B!”
