Une première. Un mensuel fait uniquement au stylo Bic
Les paramètres : d’un côté, les stylos Bic et une marque légendaire. De l’autre, un magazine trendy uruguayens dénommé Freeway, ciblé jeunes. On y ajoute une agence créative (Camara/TBWA, Montevideo). Résultats : un mensuel entièrement rédigé et illustré au BIC (stylo) puis imprimé.
Esthétiquement, c’est superbe, créatif et surtout particulièrement attractif. Petit regret, les annonces pub (hormis celle de Bic) n’ont pas été conçues au stylo.
Une très belle opération marketing et un joli coup de pub pour la marque légendaire.

Pena de Bernal, two ladies taking a break in pm

Ah what a mess all those codes…  Looking at those two ladies chatting on a public bench in a park located in Pena de Bernal, I am sure their subject of conversation is not about all those banks codes…

I have spent the day, trying to establish my credential with banks here and to conclude that I am getting too old for that garbage.  I love technology and everything that is attached to it but as I grow more mature not to say old, there is limitiation in my life to the stupidity of evolution.  Sometime, I believe we should just let it go and go back to the starting line.

Establishing my credit is one of the worst down side to been an expat and moving all the time, from country to other country.  My worst time to date was when I did not spend enough time in the USA to establish my name (stayed 13 months and it took 8 months to become somebody) and because of this short time, I moved to Mexico without much of a past and with a hole of 13 months not been somebody.  So I am back to square one with my banks now.

This is the joy of being expat.  I either accept the fact that I am a nobody or I give it all the cold shoulder and move back to my comfort zone in my small country home.

But still, I would bet anything that those two ladies in the picture above, don’t even know what an ATM card is and don’t care much about knowing it!

Well, lets just appreciate this town of Pena de Bernal where I still find the best mocahete con carne on this side of the land.

The Mocahete comes out with a sizzling collection of meat, cheese, cactus, etc… garnish with cilantro and serves with homemade tortillas. 

Extraordinary taste, you forget that you have problems with banks when you eat one of those!

Hace 2 días comentábamos un manifiesto independentista del año 2000. Ahora toca recoger el documento de análisis realizado por Adrián y que ha generado una interesante polémica en internet. Este texto parte de la idea de reconstruir el tejido del Movimiento de Liberación Nacional de Aragón, en base a sensaciones que demostrarían una consolidación del mismo, y cuyo ejemplo próximo sería la más que probable unión de las dos organizaciones juveniles (Astral y Chobenalla). Se insiste en el peso determinante de la juventud a la hora de liderar la revolución (habla de Cuba, “Mayo del 68″, etc.), relacionando este hecho con el papel de la misma en Euskal Herria y los Països Catalans (sic). De forma acertada el propio autor expone como es la propia Chobenalla la generadora del movimiento actual, aunque en parte confunde esa parte con el todo, cuando habla de derrumbe del mismo a raíz del proceso de expulsión de CHA. Ese momento, marca un antes y un después, aunque Adrián equivoca fechas, CHA se convirtió en un partido más del sistema en 2001, en la asamblea que permite llegar al poder a la pareja José Antonio Acero y Gonzalo Orna. CHA albergó independentistas pero nunca llegó a serlo. Luego pasamos a Astral, con una historia más corta en el tiempo, pero que le ha llevado también por derroteros similares (desvinculación de Estado Aragonés).

Tras la apuesta ilusionante por unir ambos colectivos, se traslada a analizar el papel del BIC. Aquí cuestiona su función de bloque, no por los colectivos que permanecen, sino por los que pasaron. En el texto se valora la lucha del BIC, sobre todo en Zaragoza. Sigue con la disección cogiendo al tridente del Bloque (A Enrestida, Puyalón y Chobenalla) y alabando su labor activista. También empondera la labor del SOA como verdadero sindicato de clase. O el trabajo de los colectivos estudiantiles UCA y ChERA. La loa continúa con movimientos no políticos, plataformas de variado tipo, etc. Al final, la propuesta marxista-leninista recoge frases y objetivos, unos más acertados que otros pero sin justificación previa, por lo menos leyendo todo lo anterior. Un texto interesante, que analiza algo (aunque faltaría más perspectiva), sintetiza bastante y soluciona poco a corto plazo. Pero la intención es buena.

En estos últimos días están apareciendo por diversos medios comunicados y propuestas de análisis en relación a objetivos políticos y organizativos de la izquierda independentista aragonesa, unos personales (ver Análisis, síntesis y soluciones a la situación sociopolítica aragonesa actual), y otros colectivos (ver Documento político de Puyalón). Ahora nos toca mirar hacia atrás.

Hace 9 años cuando el movimiento indepe luchaba por su visibilización social, en ese “quiero y no puedo” entrista con respecto a CHA, en aquellos tiempos hubo un pasquín-manifiesto, que se llegó a repartir y difundir en torno al Diya Nazional del año 2000. Firmado por algo que se llamaba “Estado Aragonés”, un guiño histórico al partido que se fundaría unos años después. El manifiesto habla de lugares comunes (Aragón colonia, militarización, pérdida de la cultura autóctona, políticas agresivas medioambientalmente) para el nacionalismo aragonés. Incidiendo en el momento que era, la mayoría absoluta del PP y ese PHN que amenazaba el país. Pero se hace un llamamiento en plural a lxs aragonesxs, ya que Aragón debe ser independiente, como proceso de autoestima y respeto, pero también para salvarnos del centralismo españolista y así unirnos al resto de pueblos que luchan por la libertad. Resumido, eso era todo. Probablemente el primer manifiesto independentista en la historia reciente del pueblo aragonés. Ha llovido y la cuestión ha madurado. Es cuando volvemos a la actualidad, noviembre de 2009… (Continuará)

At this point in the presentation you have a few options:

Option 1.

Drop down in a lifeless heap, bang your fists on the table and sob uncontrollably.

Option 2.

Dive across the table, grasp the unsuspecting client by the neck until you’re prised off and forcibly removed from the office.

Option 3.

Do exactly what the client asks, and take the money.

Option 4.

Explain why the white space is there and how it helps with the communication of the message.

Explain that it is not ‘empty’ space, it’s active and has a purpose.

It creates impact and helps the ad stand out in an otherwise crowded environment.

It provides a place for the reader’s eye and mind to rest, unlike most of the other ads in the publication.

It helps the reader to find their way around the page.

It ‘forces’ the reader to look at the elements on the page.

Without white space the piece will be heavy, cumbersome and difficult to look at, let alone read.

It’s like a sculpture, the space around it is just as important as the subject. Or a comedian’s pause before delivering a punch line.

And, there are newspaper editors who will tell you, “White space sells.”

Space is what we move around in. If we don’t have it we can’t move, rest, enjoy – like green space in a city.

It’s “Less is more”. You pay us for our key skills and a key skill is the ability to simplify.

The Dalai Lama once said that simplicity is the key to happiness in the modern world, and it’s good that your reader will feel happy with your ad.

If you’re really desperate, it’s THE page people will keep to hand to make notes!

But of course, none of this is relevant if the white space itself has no relevance.

Uma ação simples na idéia, mas extremamente trabalhosa e bem executada foi criada pela TBWA no Uruguai. Uma edição inteira de uma revista local, a Freeway, foi feita apenas com canetas Bics.

Todo o editorial, artigos e textos, inclusive a capa, foram produzidos apenas com a tinta da caneta. As únicas páginas realmente impressas foram as dos anúncios.

Muito bem pensado, e ainda melhor executado.

Eu tinha falado recentemente sobre a propaganda da Bozzano nada original (veja aqui) e justo está semana vi uma propaganda da Bic para o mesmo tipo de produto. É inacreditavél quanto melhor a propaganda da Bic é em Realação a Bozzano e isto porque eles não tiveram que gastar dinheiro com celebridades. a propaganda é engraçado, divertido, e com uma idéia bem inteligente e bem executado. Ta vendo como não é preciso copiar os outros para se dar bem?
