Nicht nur in den Terminkalendern der Fans ist der Termin fett angestrichen, auch bei den Fernsehschaffenden hat man ein Auge drauf.

Um nicht mit der Fussball WM konkurrieren zu müssen, wird die am 11. Januar 2010 startende 10. Staffel von “Big Brother” nur 148 Tage lang sein und somit bereits am 7. Juni 2010 enden.

Former Big Brother 9 winner Adam Jasinski is begging to be released from jail. Jasinski wants out so badly, he’s willing to do just about anything, including moving back in with his parents under house arrest!

Als vor einigen Tagen bekannt wurde, dass Miriam Pielhau nicht mehr als Moderatorin für BIG BROTHER arbeiten wird, war meine Freude groß. Der Umgang mit ihrem persönlichen Schicksal ist ausgesprochen respektabel, doch ihren Job als Moderatorin, die nur von Karten und Teleprompter ablesen kann, war unterirdisch schlecht.

Im Stillen hatte ich darauf gehofft, dass Ruth Moschner zu BB zurückkehren würde, da ich sie für ausgesprochen witzig halte. Dazu noch Jochen Bendel und mein Dream Team wäre perfekt.

Aber natürlich kommt es anders, denn Staffel 10, die am 11. Januar 2010 beginnt, wird von Aleksandra Bechtel moderiert, die schon bei den Staffeln 2-4 an Board war.

Mal sehen, wie sie ihren Job diesmal machen wird. Meine Erwartungen halten sich aber in Grenzen.

Big Brother Fans aufgepasst! Schnappt euch einen Textmarker und streicht den 4. Januar 2010 und den 11. Januar 2010 im Kalender an. An einem dieser beiden Tage wird nämlich die 10. Staffel Big Brother beginnen.

Motto der Staffel wird bekanntlich “West vs. Ost” sein, angelehnt an 20 Jahre Wiedervereinigung. Trotz des hochtrabenden Namens wird es aber wohl nichts anderes als die aus Staffel 8 und 9 bekannte Arm vs. Reich Thematik gehen.

Man kann nur hoffen, dass man diesmal beim Casting ein besseres Händchen hat und man nicht wieder wie in Staffel 9 jede Menge Langweiler und / oder Schauspieler ins Haus holt.

This week, I had the honor of having coffee with Bil Browning and Jerame Davis, co-owners of The Bilerico Project, “the web’s largest LGBTQ group blog” with over 50 contributors. Although Bil and Jerame reside in Indianapolis and also manage the Bilerico Indiana, The Bilerico Project is a national website, with contributors from all over the world. What we love most about the website is that it is all-inclusive reading for anything LGBTQ, with articles ranging from informative, political information, to music highlights to Prop 8 Updates, as well as “Big Brother 10 Jessie Godderz is naked(and gay?)”

But probably more important than our discussion about their going to Washington D.C. for National Coming Out Day, or about their political support in Indy, or their professional backgrounds. More important than any of that was their interaction as a couple. On October 6th, they will celebrate their 11th anniversary together. They laughed together as they explained to me the disaster which they describe as their “first date” and how it was a starting point for everything moving forward. They laughed as they stumbled over each other’s sentences while telling me about their new “front porch cat” or how they “adopted” their dogs. And what was truly refreshing, was how they work so closely together, with the same mission, but still interact with sincerity, humility and love towards one another. With both of their laptops constantly up during our meeting, I asked them if they ever argue over content for The Bilerico Project. They raised their eyebrows, looking at one another and laughed, explaining that it’s an almost weekly occurrence.

And as I walked away, I smiled to myself, because I had expected to meet a couple of gay men who were politically driven and had a mission to bring awareness and change to the world. And while that is exactly what I found, more importantly, I found a gay couple, normal in every way as any other couple in the world, who can still laugh and smile at each other after 11 years. And that…is more than most of us can ask for and where the true change begins! Congratulations to you both!

Kayke Aléxander busca a realização de projeto social com a participação no BBB-10

O modelo fotográfico e “cuidador de idosos”, Kayke Aléxander, paranaense de Rosário do Ivaí, radicado em São Paulo, é um dos candidatos a participar da 10ª edição do BBB (Big Brother Brasil), que irá ao ar no início do próximo ano. Com 36 anos, pai das crianças Beatriz Fabiana (11), Matheus Fabiano (10) e Vitória Angelita (5) e considerado “humilde” pelos amigos, Kayke resolveu disputar uma das vagas do programa para chamar a atenção da sociedade para a construção de casas clínicas para recolher idosos de rua.

“É claro que eu vou tentar entrar para ganhar o prêmio do BBB10, mas meu grande objetivo é chamar a atenção para os idosos. A gente ouve falar muito em eventos para crianças, que arrecadam milhões e milhões a cada ano, enquanto para idosos não há qualquer tipo de evento desse tipo”, argumenta o modelo fotográfico, lembrando que essa geração também já foi criança no passado, mas agora amarga o esquecimento.

Cursando teatro, paralelamente aos trabalhos com foto e à atenção aos idosos, Kayke disse que, se entrar na casa do BBB10, terá disposição de trabalhar em grupo, mas vai lutar para respeitem seu espaço, senão… “Sou muito crítico, do tipo que quando tem algo a falar fala na cara, não importa onde nem a quem. Se eu tiver razão, a pessoa vai ouvir, no entanto, se eu errar saberei assumir meu erro e pedir desculpas”, revela o candidato a uma das vagas do programa.

Kayke afirma que o vídeo encaminhado à produção do BBB10 ficou muito bom e tem tudo para abrir as portas para sua participação no reality show da Rede Globo. “Se um diretor ver meu vídeo com atenção, acredito que tenho chance de entrar”, avalia. O modelo fotográfico e cuidador de idosos também aposta na torcida dos amigos para ter sua inscrição aprovada e em sua proposta de atuação no BBB para ser o finalista do programa.

“Acredito que tenho chance, porque na minha opinião o BBB precisa de pessoas com objetivos sérios, que não estejam lá só para tentar ganhar um milhão e depois caírem no esquecimento. Acho que a Globo deveria avaliar isso e colocar pessoas que saíssem de lá com projetos sociais em mente para ajudar a melhorar nosso País”, sugere Kayke Aléxander.

A pequena legião de amigos do modelo e cuidador de idosos criou recentemente no Orkut a Comunidade “Eu sou fã de Kayke Aléxander!”, aberta a comentários de sócios e não sócios a respeito do candidato a uma das vagas no BBB10.

Auch bei RTL2 hat man die Zeichen der Zeit erkannt und nutzt neuerdings “Twitter” als Möglichkeit Nachrichten an die Zuschauer zu senden.

Gestern schickte man dann folgenden schlichten Tweet, auf den jeder Bib Brother Fan sehnlichst gewartet hat.

“Die Entscheidung ist gefallen: Big Brother kommt 2010 mit der 10. Staffel”

Nähere Einzelheiten wie Starttermin, Länge der Staffel usw. gab man noch nicht bekannt. Das neue Logo scheint aber darauf hinzudeuten, dass es wirklich das “Ossis vs. Wessis” Motto geben wird, über das man bereits vor Monaten munkelte, nachdem dieses Konzept intern favorisiert wurde.

All this talk of the Lady GaGa penis video from Glastonbury put me on a search.

I perused my Big Brother 10 episodes and came up with this from Day 81.

I equally wanted Lisa, David, or Charlie to win, but had I seen this earlier, I’m sure Lisa would have been my hands down favorite.

So Big Brother is over! Quite literally as next years show is the last one. Love it or hate it, the programme has managed to survive for 10 years which is pretty good by today’s standards!

The public has spoken and we have a winner in the form of glamour model Sophie Reade. Love those candy stripe shoes.

She walked away with prize money of £71,320

There have been some serious characters in the in the house this year including Siavash bit strange but harmless really. Davina rocked a new sparkly look. Love, love, love sequinned blazers right now!

All hail Dogface!

I have to admit at the end there, I was rooting for Siavash. Not because he was a particularly likable person but because I felt like I knew more about him than Sophie. Because Sophie was basically an occasionally amusing cipher rather than a proper human-being. There were occasional peeks at an intelligent, shrewd woman poking through the facade of bellweather idiocy (when she started arguments and skated off, when she switched teams at exactly the right moment), but for her to win we’d could never see them developed, so they weren’t, and the audience could carry on confusing children with angels and proclaim her the “only honest person in there”.

I mean obviously I wasn’t rooting for any of the gays because really…who was? The fact that there were four gay people in the final week and they all got on and very few people thought it worthy of comment is a sign of how far we’ve come since the days of Brian Dowling being tokened to death and trying to murder Josh for honing in on his homo-turf. That those four gay people were nuclear-strength human bleach-ball Lisa, screechingly insincere fun-Nazi Rodrigo, *spit* Charlie, and David who idolises the queen of the British punk movement but has no interest in doing anything to authority other than parking himself up inside it and falling asleep, is perhaps less sociologically exciting, but well, we can’t have it all can we?

But yes, given that the final was almost entirely composed of people who were invisible for half the series I rather had to take my finale moments where I could. The bizarre sight of Freddie getting booed and Lisa getting cheered, simply because of who they had the misfortune to be drawn standing next to. Charlie’s little face when he was announced in fourth, and his inability to stop mugging for even five seconds (Oh Charlie, Pete already fell down the stairs at the final, and it wasn’t even funny then). Imagining Noirin and Davina going at each other in a fight to the death after the latter made one snidey comment too many. David asking if Robbie Williams had come out yet (give it time David, give it time). The increasingly pissed off voice of Big Brother as Sophie pottered around picking up colleges and shit Angel made 9 weeks ago.

So there were isolated moments of interest, amidst the assault on my brain by Judy James, the inanity of the remaining housemates and the cooings of Davina. Much like the rest of this series really. Ah well, roll on next year, for the final Celebrity Big Brother, even though Ulrika winning kind of broke that whole idea forever, and then the final Big Brother which, for some woe-begotten reason, will not be an All-Stars.

Oh dear.

Last night Dogwit, the blonde glamour model, left the Big Brother house to huge cheers from the crowd and fireworks, looking entirely dumbstruck to have triumphed on the show.

She beat housemates Siavash, David, Rodrigo and Charlie in the (04.09.09) series finale.

Sophie was almost still unable to speak as show host Davina McCall started to interview her and asked how she felt about her secret relationship with hairy boy Marcus.

Sophie said: “It’s just, like, I’ve read some stuff and obviously I need to speak to him and stuff.”

She had previously vowed to dump the Wolverine Lothario after Big Brother had agreed to keep the relationship secret but then, in a recent magazine interview, Marcus didn’t deny they’d had sex in the house.

Davina then asked if she meant it when she said she’d be single when she left, but overcome, Sophie could only howl a blood curdling cry into the microphone.

Marcus was then given a chance to pass a message to her.

He eloquently said: “Fuckthis, fuckit, fuckit, fuckit with knobs on, fuckityfuckfuckfuck.”

Sophie was then asked if it was true she had sex with him – as she reportedly confirmed to Irish housemate Noirin.

Presumably referring to her beloved pet Sophie replied: “I swear on my pussy’s life, I never said that.”

However, as the interview continued Davina seemed to rub the teenage witch up the wrong way.

Davina: You’re a pistol, you’re really funny. You’re really funny.

Dogface: What do you mean I’m funny?

Davina: It’s funny, you know. It’s a good story, it’s funny, you’re a funny girl.
[laughs]

Dogface: What do you mean, you mean the way I talk? What?

Davina: It’s just, you know. You’re just funny, it’s… funny, the way you tell the story and everything.

Dogface:[it becomes quiet] Funny how? What’s funny about it?

Marcus: Sophie no, You got it all wrong.

Dogface: Oh, oh, Marcus. She’s a big girl, she knows what she said. What did ya say? Funny how?

Davina: Jus…

Dogface: What?

Davina: Just… ya know… you’re funny.

Dogface: You mean, let me understand this cause, ya know maybe it’s me, I’m a little fucked up maybe, but I’m funny how, I mean funny like I’m a clown, I amuse you? I make you laugh, I’m here to fuckin’ amuse you? What do you mean funny, funny how? How am I funny?

Davina: Just… you know, how you tell the story, what?

Dogface: No, no, I don’t know, you said it. How do I know? You said I’m funny. How the fuck am I funny, what the fuck is so funny about me? Tell me, tell me what’s funny!

Davina: [long pause] Get the fuck out of here, Sophie.

Dogface: [everyone laughs] Ya motherfucker! I almost had her, I almost had her. Ya stuttering prick ya. Marcus, was she shaking? I wonder about you sometimes, Davina. You may fold under questioning.

Sophie was later awarded with the show’s prize money of £7.13, which she said she would spend  on a new atlas and some ordinance survey maps.

Sophie Takes Gold! Well, who’d have thought that the final pair left in the House would be Siavash and Sophie? Big Brother likes a surprise and this was one of those moments.
