I don’t quite know how to put my contempt for Mika in words. But allow me to put it in graph format.

It’s safe to say I would rather listen to Akon than Mika and that is an epic call (don’t ask me who I prefer out of the Blunt and Mika. Gun to my head? I would probably choose death). The only thing Morrissey and Mika have in common is they both tackled the subject of people with weight issues and how they rate them. Mika with ‘Big Girl (You Are Beautiful)’ and Morrissey with ‘You’re The One For Me, Fatty’. Other than the fact that the latter is a far superior track due to a combination of a catchy, foot-tapping beat and eloquent lyrics, Morrissey also goes about it in a more direct way. Politically incorrect? Perhaps. At least he is being true to himself and not hiding on the grassy knoll like someone we all know. Mika should stop giving the ladies false hope and rename it ‘Big Girl (Take Off Those Leggings And Be My Beard)’.

it’s been that kind of day.

i’m so sick i can barely breath.  and at that only through my mouth.  and now my tummy hurts, too.  probably from the muscel strain of endless nose blowing and coughing.

but i went to work anyways.  the pressure cooker that is my job.

the kids seem to be coming down with it, too.  neither one ate much for dinner, they’re usually starving when we get home.  and j’s nose is running.

the only good news of the day is that j’s peed in the pot three times.  on her second day in pull-ups.  but now she’s thinks she’s close enough to 2 to want her own way all the time.  my sweet little baby is becoming a big girl (i’m so proud of her!) who wants to rule the world.

i dread the day when we’re all really sick at the same time.  so far i’ve been lucky and it’s always managed to stagger out so that we just pass it around.  but on of these days it’ll happen.  i’ll be so ill i want to die on the same day my kids are too sick to go to school.  i’ll have no choice but to suck it up and take care of them, to suffer through it and bite my tongue.  i hope tomorrow’s not that day.  i’d better not say anything else, lest the goblins make my nightmere a reality.  i’ll go knock on wood now.
