Bootmanager

CD/DVD boot without BIOS support
Different profiles for operating systems
Define up to 16 partitions
No extra partition for the boot manager
Hidden boot, maybe you have a rescue system installed and the user should not see that there is another system installed
Boot countdown
Hide partitions
Password protection for the computer and the boot manager setup
Backup of partition table data
Textmode user interface 80×50
Graphic user interface 640×480, 800×600, 1024×786, 1280×1024
MBR partition table edit
Start of the boot manager from harddisk, floppy, USB, CD, DVD
Starting from Windows boot menu
Starting from LILO, GRUB, Syslinux, Isolinux, Pxelinux (network)
The boot manager is freeware

Start VM

CD-Rom Drive

This Week’s Biography is centered around Professor Highpants:

Prof. H has been around our school for a long time, and I’d have to say that he is one of the best teachers we have. True, most of his classes are filled with lectures but I actually enjoy this immensely, they make me think and the topics are intresting too (if you know what subject he teaches you know how weird this is). Prof. H always manages to teach his students something new and interesting, if they are willing to pay attention that is (I beleive a certain pudgy black-haired boy fell asleep in class today). The weird thing a bout Prof. H is that i can not guess his age!!! At first i thought he was around 55 but now im thinking a little younger because he has a son that is currently a freshmen. Speaking of his son, i wonder how it feels to have a dad thats the ******** teacher? I bet it sucks hard core ass, come to think of it, thats probably why the child doesnt have any friends, sad. Another thing that intrests me about Prof. H is that he knows allll the juicy gossip in our school. He knows the teacher gossip of course because he is one, he knows the administrative gossip because he is

I just got back from a week in Cascade, Idaho. It’s as far away and insignificant as it sounds—a great place to get away from it all.

Well, I couldn’t get away from all of it, as I was speaking at a YWAM discipleship training—in the mornings, anyway. In the afternoon, I was writing. And periodically I had to check in at work. But given my place in life, this is about as good as getting away gets. In one work email, the correspondent said that he felt bad that he was bothering me while I was on vacation. I wrote back and said answering emails while looking out a view of a starkly beautiful valley, a glimmering lake, framed by snow-covered mountain ranges was hardly a burden.

We live in a society in which it is nearly impossible to take a biblical Sabbath—that is, to carve out even an entire day in which no “work” is done. That’s especially true of those who give themselves to the church—Sundays can be one of the most work-filled days of the week.

And given the nature of modern capitalism—when more and more things are available–and demanded—24/7/365, if you’re enmeshed in any part of the economy, it may well be that there is no 24-hour period when you are not as someone’s beck and call, or when you simply have to do something non-Sabbathy (what a terrible word, but you know what I mean). And yet that does not excuse us from taking a Sabbath, or even mini-Sabbaths.

Still, the main purpose of a Sabbath is not to get R&R, or to re-connect with God. We’ve managed to turn the Sabbath into a day about us, about our refreshment, about our spiritual renewal. No, the main purpose of the Sabbath is not me but God: to stop the incessant doing, striving, planning, dreaming and to just live. To be reminded that I’m not in charge of the universe (not even my universe), that God is perfectly capable of running things without me, and that if I should die tomorrow, things would go along swimmingly.

The Sabbath is about God. And one of the best things we can do on the Sabbath is to not take ourselves, our faith, our spirituality, our goals, our dreams, our anything so seriously. That’s why worship is so important on the Sabbath: “Blessed be God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.” That’s why play—something completely useless in the grand schemes of things—is also a good idea.

Taking a Sabbath day can be a wonderful thing, but if it becomes a “spiritual discipline,” I have to watch out: I’ve just made it about me again. Or, to rush around nervously six days of the week, then shut it down on the Sabbath, only to reignite feverish activity the next six days—well, that’s a sign that I’m not getting the Sabbath idea. If our Sabbaths, however we take them, don’t start to affect the rest of our hours and days, we probably still don’t believe God can manage the universe without us. There is a way to be busy and be restful and trusting. In the end, Sabbath is not a new law, but a way of life.

Step 1: BIOS Changes – Make sure your first boot device is set to your CD/DVD ROM. Save your settings and exit BIOS.

Step 2: When you boot, this is the first screen you will get:

Many prefer Kubuntu to Ubuntu because of the stunning interface.

This is perhaps the most user-friendly tutorial on how to install Kubuntu afresh on your PC. To get Kubuntu, click here (as with all Cannonical releases, its totally free!) and burn the downloaded .iso file to a CD (you could also burn it to a DVD).

One more thing, the installation instructions here are for Kubuntu 9.10 (Karmic Koala release), currently the latest version.

Step 1: BIOS Changes – Make sure your first boot device is set to your CD/DVD ROM. Save your settings and exit BIOS.

Step 2: When you boot, this is the first screen you will get:

Step 3: Select your language and then select the “Install Kubuntu” option and press enter.

Lo dicho, let’s wait and see!

—

Well my name is Tyler Oehm. Most of my good friends know me as Tea_Oh. Im from a small town about 18 miles north of Pittsburgh, PA called Ambridge. I’ve been snowboarding for about 13 years now and love it its all i dream and think about till winter comes. I’m 20(soon to be 21) and have a steady job with great benefits. I know you’re wondering why i want to throw all this away just to snowboard more.

Well snowboarding is my life long passion. I got my first board when i was 8 from my grandfather as a christmas present. I only had small hills and little jumps to have fun on at that age. But when i turned 17, I took my first trip to a larger mountain. It was Killington, VT. It may not be Park City, Utah, but it was a wonderful mountain none the less. The jumps were bigger, the snow was softer and the runs were longer. It was everything i always dreamed snowboarding would be.

At the age of 18 i went on a trip with my Aunt, Uncle and 2 cousins out to Vail, CO. It was heaven, drops everywhere you looked in the 7 back bowls, big kickers and perfectly shaped rails and boxes. After my week stay in Vail, I knew this is what i wanted to do with my life. Unfortunately, I did not have the motivation right out of high school to do this. I needed a buddy to want to live this life with me.

Well, at the ripe old age of 20, I decided I better do this now before I become too brittle to handle the punishment I’m sure to endure. Having one of my best friends, Tyler Belfiore, by my side we are ready to get this show on the road and make a go at this life.

So now the question is… What is the life of a Ski Bumm??
