<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://lawlibrarybarrister.files.wordpress.com/2012/03/worldbookday.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-633" title="worldbookday" src="http://lawlibrarybarrister.files.wordpress.com/2012/03/worldbookday.jpg?w=150&#038;h=99" alt="" width="150" height="99" /></a>Today is <a title="World Book Day" href="http://www.worldbookday.com/">World Book Day</a>!  Stop by your local library or bookstore, surf  <a title="Amazon" href="http://www.amazon.com">Amazon</a> or <a title="Barnes &#38; Noble" href="http://barnesandnoble.com">Barnes &#38; Noble </a>online for your <a title="Kindle" href="http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0051QVESA/?tag=googhydr-20&#38;hvadid=9885703117&#38;ref=pd_sl_mxslqrhtg_e">Kindle</a> or <a title="Nook" href="http://www.barnesandnoble.com/u/nook/379003208?r=1&#38;utm_source=google&#38;cm_mmc=Google-_-NOOK%20General-_-NOOK%20(exact)-_-Nook&#38;cm_mmca1=23c7cc8c-c82e-2e69-43ab-00004a97b42a&#38;utm_medium=cpc&#38;utm_term=nook&#38;utm_campaign=NOOK%20General">Nook</a>, then browse and enjoy the pleasures of reading in either print or electronic format.    To celebrate World Book Day, the UK <a title="Telegraph" href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/">Telegraph</a> published an article, <em><a title="UK Telegraph Article:  The World's Most Valuable Books" href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/personalfinance/investing/9113056/World-Book-Day-the-worlds-most-valuable-books.html">The World&#8217;s Most Valuable Books</a></em> , providing a list of books whose publication dates range from the 1350s &#8211; 1865.  Titles listed include a Gutenberg Bible, Shakespearan Folio, and several other items.  John James Audubon&#8217;s <a title="Birds of America" href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/personalfinance/investing/9113056/World-Book-Day-the-worlds-most-valuable-books.html"><em>Birds of America</em> </a>sold for $10.3m in 2010 while a 1450-1455 <a title="Gutenberg Bible" href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/personalfinance/investing/9113056/World-Book-Day-the-worlds-most-valuable-books.html?image=1"><em>Gutenberg Bible</em> </a>sold for $4.9m in 1987.  Chaucer&#8217;s <a title="Canterbury Tales" href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/personalfinance/investing/9113056/World-Book-Day-the-worlds-most-valuable-books.html?image=2"><em>Canterbury Tales</em> </a>was auctioned for $7m in 1998 while a  1623 first folio of <em><a title="First Folio of Shakespeare" href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/personalfinance/investing/9113056/World-Book-Day-the-worlds-most-valuable-books.html?image=3">Shakespeare</a></em> went for $5.6m in 2001.  <a title="Ptolemy" href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/personalfinance/investing/9113056/World-Book-Day-the-worlds-most-valuable-books.html?image=4"><em>Ptolemy&#8217;s Geographia-Cosmographia</em> </a>fetched $3.5m in 2006.  The  1776 <em><a title="American Declaration of Independence" href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/personalfinance/investing/9113056/World-Book-Day-the-worlds-most-valuable-books.html?image=5">American Declaration of Independence</a></em> sold for $2.2m in 1991.  So celebrate World Book Day today and hold onto some of your print books.  Your future progeny might some day find them to be quite valuable!</p>
