I downloaded this to my computer a while back, it worked pretty good, but it couldn’t “automagically” fix every song I had. Still, I was impressed with it.

I don’t know whose concept for this commercial was but here is Biz Markie as a Christmas tree, breakdancing penguins and a DJing squirrel to the beat of the Biz’s “Just A Friend” in 10 seconds of holiday awesomeness.

Even if a few bars of this song are started, I have not been around a group of people who can’t finish this beloved tune. (There were some serious double negatives happening in that last sentence…) What I’m trying to say is that this jam is somewhere in the top 10 for sing-alongability for my friends and I. You can’t not love it

The song was first brought to my attention by JP Walker and the Forum snowboard team in their video True Life. The credits to the video consisted of a silly bunch of pro snowboarders making a music video to this Biz Markie classic. You wouldn’t generally associate this song with snowboarding, but it definitely made this video and has since inspired many other lovers of the snow (like my friends over at A Good Reed [check them out]).

If this is the first time you have heard this song I am sorry and elated at the same time. Sorry to know that you have gone this long without the knowledge of this amazing chorus, and elated that I am the one who gets to bring it to your attention.

This weekend the popular kids show Yo Gabba Gabba opened up their new on-stage show with some serious star power. Celebrity parents came out in full force to see “There’s A Party In My City” live this weekend in Los Angeles.

Christina Aguilera partied with her son Max on day one along with Jason Bateman, Dennis Quaid, Marissa Jaret Winokur, Sarah Silverman and Busy Philipps.

Snoop Dogg not only brought his kiddies, but performed on stage during day two, where Travis Barker and Taylor Hanson enjoyed the show with their families. Other celebrities in attendance were Monet Mazur, Biz Markie, Jon Heder Amber Valletta and actress Poppy Montgomery.

To those who are new to Mos Def, this may sound like Dame Dash put a bug in Mos’ ear for revenge and all of that….but, to you I refer you back to this Mos Def

Mos doesn’t have a problem expressing himself in rhyme or in reason so I put my highest of doubts on that.
