Blur, antes com lançamento marcado para o dia 3 de novembro de 2009, será agora lançado só em 2010.

Segundo Mike Griffith, presidente e CEO da Activision Publishing, o atraso no lançamento tem haver com o aprimoramento da mêcanica do jogo, única e inovadora no modo multiplayer.

“Nós estamos comprometidos em fazer Blur uma nova, e ótima, franquia, e estamos também muito encorajados com o design do jogo. O tempo adicional vai permitir que o estúdio otimize completamente sua visão, incluindo um multiplayer novo e sensacional que vai agradar ao público.”

Blur, o novo jogo de corrida produzido pela Bizarre Creations, mesma produtora de Project Gotham Racing. Antes com data de laçamento de 3 de novembro para os Estados Unidos e 6 de novembro para os europeus, foi adiado, provavelmente, para o começo do ano que vem.

Well, you can officially throw Bizarre Creations’ power-up-laced racing title Blur onto the “delayed until 2010” pile. As we’ve heard from other developers whose games have been pushed into next year, Activision attributes the delay to wanting to give the game’s developers more time to “fully optimize the vision” they have for the game.

Fair enough. Plus, it will most likely result in a better game, so it’s hard to disagree with the move. Of course, it also means that the game won’t have to compete against the Activision’s surefire retail juggernaut, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, not to mention the other high profile titles coming out between now and the end of the year. Then again, 2010 is shaping up to be one of the most jam-packed years for gaming in recent memory, so we’ll just have to wait and see if the strategy pays off.

Do you think Blur will perform better or worse now that it’s been pushed to 2010?

Activision has confirmed that Blur, the company’s racing game, will now be moved in 2010. The reason is to give the development team more time to enhance the online multiplayer gameplay.

“We are committed to making Blur a great new racing franchise, and we are very encouraged by the game’s design,” stated Mike Griffith, President and CEO, Activision Publishing. “The additional time will allow the studio to fully optimize the vision they set out to create for Blur including a distinctive and groundbreaking multiplayer mode that will appeal to a broad audience.”

The title was set for a 11/3/2009 release according to GameStop. No future date was indicated.

Except the one cat getting scared by another cat. I mean that cat really looks upset, there should be a law for that.

Burnout? What’s that? Mario Kart? Hmmm.. never heard of it. Destruction Derby? That was then, this is now. Blur is the new game from Bizarre Creations that may soon change the car racing genre forever. Yea, I said it. It has that level of potential. Will it change the genre forever? Well, it’s up to Bizarre and how well they execute this wonderful idea. They will have some heavy competition so, I’ll take the wait and see approach. So far though, the game looks very promising. What say you?

Blur es el nombre de un nuevo juego de conducción desarrollado por Bizarre Creations que estará disponible en las consolas Playstation 3 y Xbox 360. Nos encontraremos con una innovadora propuesta que nos propondrán veloces carreras junto con devastadores combates entre vehículos armados dispuestos a hacer todo lo necesario con tal de hacerse con la victoria.

Teniendo en cuenta que el género de la velocidad está completamente saturado nos llega este título que plantea una modalidad de juego bastante interesante dejando de lado el realismo extremo y ofreciéndonos un juego con características similares a las de Mario Kart.

Tendremos la posibilidad de disfrutar de un estilo arcade muy marcado en donde nos encontraremos con coches diseñados con un alto nivel de detalles, un muy variado arsenal de armas que serán un factor determinante en el resultado de la carrera y unos efectos especiales verdaderamente admirables.

A lo largo de los circuitos nos encontraremos con una serie de ítems y power-ups que harán que el rendimiento de nuestro coche aumente, habrá diferentes armas y otros elementos con los que podremos equipar a nuestro bólido. Dependiendo de nuestro estilo de conducción y en función de la carrera podremos elegir cual es el item más apto para utilizar en ese momento.

Blur estará llegando al mercado durante el transcurso de este presente año 2009.

The creators of Blur have revealed some more info on this upcoming new arcade car battle racing game. Blur delivers 20 cars on 14 different tracks online, and you will be able to pick up powerups like Nitro, Shunt, Barge & Shock to take down your opponents.

Curiosamente, en el E3 hubo bastantes juegos de carreras anunciados. Los más importantes fueron Forza 3, Gran Turismo 5, Gran Turismo PSP, Need For Speed: Shift y DiRT 2 (la estrella porno que lo publicitaba no tuvo nada que ver con esta mención). Sin embargo, hay dos juegos que si bien no fueron tan publicitados, parecen tener todo el potencial para llegar a la línea de meta viendo por el retrovisor a su competencia: Blur de Bizarre Creations  y Split/Second de BlackRock Studios.

El primero de ellos, Blur, es creado por los desarrolladores del gran racer exclusivo de Microsoft, Project Gotham Racing. En un principio se anunció este juego como si “Forza conociera a Mario Kart”, y al ver los videos del juego parece que tal aseveración no estaba muy lejos. Es un juego de carreras con vehículos con licencia y habilidades extraordinarias. Es, sin lugar a dudas, el juego de Karts con carros más realistas de la historia.

Ahora bien, Split/Second se cuece aparte. Este juego desarrollado por las mentes maestras detrás del juego Pure, muestra una gala de creatividad y frescura pocas veces vista. Justo cuado crees haber visto todo en cuanto al género de carreras, Split/Second te da una cachetada y muestra este concepto de lo más novedoso. Sólo como dato: en su más reciente Hands-On del juego, Xav de Matos, redactor de Joystiq, menciona que es “una de las experiencias en juegos de carreras más intensas que ha tenido en muchos años”. Ahí les dejo el más reciente video para que se den un “quemón”.

¿Qué les parecieron? Interesante par de propuestas, ¿no es así?

Ако се кефите на нестандартните “игри с колички” със сигурност вече сте разбрали за “Blur”. И все пак, нека заедно да погледнем тийзъра на новото отроче на Bizarre Creations:

Признавам си, че въпреки че внимателно четох прес релийза (клик) и многократно изгледах тийзъра все още нямам точно определено мнение за играта

Според мен, е повече от очевидно, че Blur се позиционира в категорията на Split/Second, но така или иначе май ще излиза през 2009 (Split/Second се очаква през 2010) тъй че няма да срещне сериозна конкуренция (да не кажа никаква). Аз лично се кефя на такъв тип рейсъри, така че нямам нищо против, но наистина искам да видя още някакво видео преди да почна да си правя изводи

Иначе според информацията за пресата Blur се очаква, тази есен за Xbox 360, PS3 и PC.
