I djurparker händer det saker hela tiden. Undrar förstås om dårarna tror att dem har hittat paradiset här på jorden eller bara helt enkelt så att idioter uppsöker zoo i större utsträckning än normala.

För nu har det hänt igen. En man den här gånger fick närkontakt med en brunbjörn i Berns djurpark.

Bara för ett djur ser gosig ut betyder inte att den har tappat sin djuriska insikt när någon ramlar in i deras territorium. De tar en tugga. Helst två.

Vad fan tror dessa idioter egentligen?  Nästa gång skjut mannen och inte björnen såvida inte björnen som har hoppat ut från sin inhägnad.

McKinley - He's heavier than he looks

If we had been playing that game at the weekend we would have lost!  As part of our routine we had scheduled to weigh Whisper and McKinley.  Whisper was born August 31 with a birth weight of 14.7 lbs, while McKinley was born September 5 with a birth weight of 19.1 lbs.

McKinley is quite a tall cria and Whisper is just the opposite small and compact.  They were the last of the summer crias to be born and are very close in age.  With the exception of Theresa’s cria, the latest cria to be born on our farm, McKinley and Whisper are the two smallest crias of our summer cria crop.

When Ric picked up McKinley it was obvious from Ric’s face that McKinley was a little heavier than expected.  Ric valiantly carried him to the scales and back, but by the time he got to the pasture gate he was calling out “help me” for McKinley indeed was no light weight having weighed in at 54.5 lbs.

Next to go to the scales was Whisper – surely she weighed a lot less.  Were we in for a surprise!  Again as Ric picked up Whisper his face showed the strain (is Ric really getting out of shape I began to wonder, no more Open Farm Day cookies for him!), but Ric had good cause to be taken aback by Whisper’s weight for she weighed in at 58.7 lbs!  She weighed even more than McKinley!

We have been raising alpacas now for over 10 years and so usually are pretty in tune with how much a cria weighs based on its size, but these two really have surprised us for they do not look that big.  Both McKinley and Whisper have dense fleeces though and I suspect that some of that weight is fleece weight.    Whatever the reason for McKinley and Whisper’s weights, I think it is safe to say that they are both healthy, hearty crias and that their dams Bjorn and Willow are doing a great job in the milk department!  Keep up the good work girls (and stay away from those cookies Ric!)

Rosemary

Svensk humor måste verkligen tillhöra världens sämsta. Där är jag garanterad långt ifrån ensam. När det inte handlar om att dra dåliga skämt inbäddade i vulgära meningar och låtsas som att man inte är medveten om att ”det får folk att skratta” (Betnér), så handlar det om att förolämpa personer runt omkring en och/eller skämta på egen bekostnad (tag ”Markoolio” som exempel; ”Jag är fet, haha”).

Jag vet inte riktigt vad det är som gör denna typen av humor uttjatad och tråkig, utöver det faktum att den är fruktansvärt repetitiv, men jag klarar inte av den. Varje söndag går den värdelösa skit som är Parlamentet. Varje söndag med samma patetiska komiker som suttit där under de senaste 5 åren och med samma värdelösa skämt och personangrepp som sagts varje söndag under dessa år. Bevisligen tröttnar inte tittarna. Är det verkligen någon som fortfarande skrattar åt hur Robert Gustafsson harklar sig under sin utslitna sketch som berusad? Är det verkligen någon som uppskattar hur Petra Mede försöker vara kontroversiell genom att ta till samma vulgära skämt som hennes manliga kollegor kört med varje år sedan 90-talet?

Jag har svårt att tro det, även om det skulle vara naivt att ignorera existensen av en publik som uppskattar materialet. Det kommer ju trots allt alltid finnas irriterande 10-åringar som tror att det är förbjudet att svära på tv.

Nu kan det tyckas att ämnet för detta inlägg är taget ur luften, men så är inte fallet. Jag såg drygt 5 minuter av Cirkus Möller på TV4 idag, vilket jag ångrar mer än mitt biobesök till dyngan ”Drag me to hell”. Svensk humor när den är som allra sämst, nästan i klass med det rasistiska skräp som Chris Rock spyr ur sig under en vanlig kväll av standup (vilket, tråkigt nog, alla svenska komiker med utländsk bakgrund har börjat apa efter).

Måns Möller stod på en scen framför en mindre publik (som bidrog med halvhjärtade skratt och applåder) och skrattade åt sina egna skämt. Detta varvades med sketcher beståendes av Möller spelandes mot Möller i stora löständer. Bättre än så tror jag inte att jag kan formulera en beskrivning. Ärligt talat så ser jag inte hur någon kan uppskatta programmet. Som jag nämnde så kan jag med Parlamentet se hur en viss målgrupp kan uppskatta skiten, detta kan jag inte säga om Cirkus Möller. Det är bara skräp. Värdelöst jävla skräp – i brist på andra adjektiv. Det enda logiska vore att programmet lades ned för att aldrig mer ta upp värdefull tid som kunde spenderas bättre än 25 minuter reklam. Detsamma kan sägas om den pinsamma soppa som var Roast på Berns.

Nej, släng Schyffert, Dorsin, Gustafsson, Mede, Betnér och all annan svensk skit ned i ett dike. Faktum är att det endast finns två personer i Sverige som kan klassas som riktiga komiker. Två personer som gång på gång får mig att skratta på grund av ren idioti och välutvecklade skämt. Dessa är Mona Sahlin och Lars Ohly, tråkigt att de inte vet om det.

Nu skall resten av fredagen spenderas på att se en riktigt bra film, i och med att den värdelösa skitfilm som är V för Vendetta tar upp all programtid på TV6. Tills nästa uppdatering kan du nöja dig åt riktig humor från en av Sveriges tidigare komiker (han sysslar inte med standup längre).

I have just found out that Johnny Depp has been named Sexiest Man! Personally, I think that the award should have gone to Hugh Jackman.[hmmmmm-absolutely!] But as we all know life is not fair and things that are supposed to happen don’t, or very rarely do.

I took another giant step forward today towards the ownership of my own business. I met with a great accountant today and please Gd on Sunday I will be registered.

I have the strangest cat! She has this strange fixation with socks; especially the baby socks. I often find her running through the apartment with a sock in her mouth and I have to be sneeky to get it back from her without her seeing me first and darting under the couch. Strange kitty!

Baby, we were Bjorn to Run. ...Get it?

Any show that features sparkly, silver, platform, knee-high boots, 70’s jumpsuits, and a man named Bjorn is something that I want to be a part of.  Believe me, you would too!  Granted I walked in the door an ABBA fan, but I promise not everyone there was a Swedish pop music aficionado… I’m pretty sure the guy a few rows in front of me was forced at gunpoint by his girlfriend to buy tickets… but that being said, even HE was on his feet by the end of the first act!  So now…without further ado…

The Top 5 Greatest Moments of ABBA Mania!

5) The audience dancing in the aisles.  There are very few theatrical events where I have actually been encouraged to get out of my seat and sing and dance along with the performers.  Usually theatres HATE when you do that!  Especially the Broadway houses (trust me…I know…)

4) The finger dance.  Just what IS the finger dance, you ask?  Point both your index fingers up in the air.  Raise your right index finger.  Lower is as you raise your left index finger.  Reverse.  Repeat.  The audience was instructed to do this with the performers— I can’t explain it, but there is something SO cool about doing the same choreography as the performers… even if it is something as deceptively simple as the finger dance.

3) The terrible ABBA puns you make with friends at intermission (if you put enough ABBA fans in one room it’s bound to happen.)  Examples: “I ABBAsolutely love this!”  “This is FABBAlous!”  “I Fernandon’t ever want to leave!” (Okay, that last one’s a stretch, but you get the picture.)  *Challenge: What is YOUR best ABBA pun?

2) ABBA-maniacs.  I thought wearing my 70s jumpsuit would be over the top, but let me tell you there are some serious ABBA fans out there.  You will know them by their platform knee-high boots, blonde wigs, and sequins.  They are super nice, very fun, and I’m pretty sure always smiling and dancing (at least from what I’ve seen.)

1) My favorite moment of the night: one of the singers begins a stirring rendition of the “The Winner Takes it All”.  The last song had been upbeat so people were still a bit riled up and chatty when the volume was brought down for this slow song.  Apparently someone towards the front was still whispering because an avid ABBA fan let out a huge, angry “SHHHHH!” which, no lie, I heard all the way in row X.  ABBA fans are serious about their music!

How much did you LOVE Mama Mia! The Movie?  Rumors of there being a sequel are finally confirmed by Amanda Seyfried one of the stars of the ABBA based film.  Amanda has also said:

“I know it’s still going to be Abba music, because what else would it be? Come on, I wouldn’t do Mamma Mia 2 without Benny and Bjorn.”

I don’t know about you but I can’t wait to hear more amazing ABBA songs.

Men just nu är jag lättad. Jag är så lättad. Björn, min morbror har fått flyga häråt ifrån Thailand idag. Han landade i Norge, det liksom blev så, och han ligger just nu på ett norskt sjukhus i Oslo. Mamma är där och hälsar på och han vill inte bli lämnad.

Han går på morfin, har ont, lite feber men han lever och han finns ändå inom räckhåll. Det följde med en svensk läkare från Thailand, som hjälpte honom genom flygresan, en lång resa, i alla fall. Oavsett om man är frisk eller inte.

Just nu tänker jag på Björn. Och mamma. Och alla andra syskon, kusiner som har lagt ner sig och kämpat för det här. Än är inte resan slut, det är en hel del som ska göras för att han ska återhämta sig, det är en hel del som ska rehabiliteras. Det är en hel del skulder som Björn kommer att få kämpa med genom hela sitt liv. När han blir mer medveten och när han blir mer igång än vad han är nu så är jag öevrtygad att han kommer att vara så glad för allt som alla har gjort.

Höstkväll vid Fäbodtjärn. Efter att ha “bussatom” rosorna, krusbärsbusken, luktärtorna, pionerna och stockrosorna känns det som om vi nu kan hälsa vintern välkommen. H. rensade våtängen från förvuxna granar – de som är för grova för att platsa som julgranar, skymmer utsikten mot Fäbodtjärn eller scenen. Scenen är  platsen under gatlyktan och raden med brevlådor där hitintills ännu ingen uppenbarat sig. Åtminstone inte  samtidigt med att vi begått middag. Väntan på Godot känns märkligt närvarande. Kanske inte så underligt när byn består av 16 året om hushåll och lika många sommar dito…

På bordet står en höstgryta. Nyhammars Konsum har bistått med ekologisk nötbog, konserverarde tomater och vitlök. Resten är egen skörd från det magra landet - rödlök, morötter, jordärtskockor, palsternackor…Och så förstås en rejäl näve torkade trattisar. Koka flera timmar och smaksätt med rosmarin, rosepeppar, soja, stjälkselleri, fransk senap, matyoghurt  och glöm inte att röra ned några teskedar potatismjöl i matyoghurten så skär den sig inte.

Enda möjliga tillbehöret är förstås kokt potatis. Skalpotatis som vi säger, vi som kommer från landet och är vana vid att potatisen serveras med skal. Skalpotatis, den råskalade potatisen, hör endast hemma på helgen.

Höstgrytor är ett vitt begrepp. Det enda man säkert kan säga att ju fler ingredienser desto läckrare gryta. Och glöm inte att låta den puttra länge…

Till grytan knäckte H. och jag en flaska chilenskt Falernia 2007, syrah cabernet sauvignon. Ekologisk, förstås. För att slippa ha så mycket att välja mellan har H. och jag begränsat valmöjligheterna till det ekologiska sortimentet. Kanske orättvisst mot Falernian – som klarar tuffare motstånd - men den är verkligen utsökt. Med en ton av kryddnejlika, aningen lakrits och smörkola var den perfekt till vår höstgryta.           

Enda orosmolnet är nu att åtminstone en nalle stryker omkring och letar efter en lämpligt ide vid vårt trattisställe. Han lämnar otrevliga högar av spillning som är rödprickiga av lingon efter sig.

Eller hur det nu kan stavas.

När jag seglade när jag var liten så hade vi en bajamaja som vi kallade för Baberiban. Den som drog nitlotten fick tömma Baberiban. Jag minns mest en gång då Kalle Bane fick göra det. Min seglarkompis Kristin var lite kär i Kalle. Jag var kär i Björn. Nu är Björn förlovad med Martina och Martina är storasyster till Anton som jag seglade tillsammans med och som sen blev tillsammans med Andrea som var kompis med Adam som jag var ihop med en kortis i ettan på gymnasiet. Lite rörigt kanske. Inte rörigare än på mitt indiska kontor vill jag lova. Nu börjar musiken igen. Jag kommer dö. En långsam död ackompanjerad av hijjihujjiajjeoohohohahahahaaaaaliiiaaa.

För att vara ärlig har det inte hänt så mycket roligt sen igår, jag mådde illa på kvällen och gick och lade mig direkt. Antagligen för att jag druckit renat vatten och inte mineralvatten, förlåt mig mamma, jag skulle ha lyssnat jag vet. Men jag tänkte mig inte för.

Och nu, nu orkar jag inte med musiken här längre så jag sätter på mig mina hörlurar och lyssnar på detta:

Friday night we spent in a bar in Aachen drinking mojitos and stuff, and me and Kai ended up falling asleep watching Pirates of the Carribean and Dylan Moran. I SERIOUSLY WANT ORLANDO BLOOM’S HAT. lololol.
Saturday night we went to some weirdly yalternative gay bar in an old abandoned warehouse in Köln, He’s so much fun on a night out, mental…..but fun
Sunday night we just cabarged in the house after a particularly sex-filled morning. Good lord, he’s amazing.

I don’t think he knows how much he means to me, i hate the fact that he lives so far away, and that I can’t see him every day, but he’s seriously worth the effort. He even asked me if we want to break up because of the long-distance, which kinda scared me. I don’t want that to happen at all. I really hope he doesn’t ever consider doing that.

Yes anyways, the funniest day ever was Monday, missed my flight back to Brum by about 20 minutes, got to the airport the information desk bitch was like NEEEEE. NO FLIGHTS. FUCK OFF. So I ended up sleeping in Kai’s car froa  bit, slept in McCafé and then proceeded t osleep in the departure lounge until my flight the next morning at 10am.
I felt like such a twat because Kai felt obliged to stay with me most of the night and when he left I was in floods of tears.  Seriously did not want him to go, neither did he though. But I guess it had to happen eventually, i’d rather him not crash on the A-Bahn in the morning.
Anyways we found a random park in the middle of the airport and had a really nice walk around at like 2am, even in the freezing cold I was soo content :]
I think I really am falling properly  in love with him. He’s beautiful, and funny, and intelligent and we have the best sex ever. Period. He’s exactly what I want in a man, he doesn’t understand why I like him, but I do. A lot.

I’m gonna stop being such a romantic now and finally post this epic-essay. lmfao.

I miss him

Vi spelar Drakar och Demoner. Det är nördigt (och kanske lite töntigt…) men ack så härligt.

Står och väntar på pendeltåget. Missade det förra med en minut. Då är det en kvart till nästa. Vi pendeltågskillar (och tjejor) har det inte lätt inte.

Hösten är sig verkligen höstlik idag. Gråmurrig, inslag av gult och fukt i den kyliga luften. Det är vemodigt och fint.

Jag ska hem till Åsa och spela rollspel med henne, Jocke, Göran och Björn. Det blir nog kul. I got my dice and I’m ready to roll.

Tänkte att jag kanske hinner förbi sf-bokhandeln. Kolla ifall det finns något där som kan… Ja, du fattar.

Why This Song Appeals To Me: This song is strangely erotic. Unlike most artists, The Teenagers sing their songs in a “talking” style which adds to the provocative vibe of the song. The spoken and sensual lyrics are accompanied by an interesting repetitive riff.

Why This Song Appeals To Me: Ruth Radelet’s voice makes this song what it is; absolutely stunning. This song haunts you with is simple but beautiful lyrics softly sung along to what it possibly the best bass line ever.

Why This Song Appeals To Me: Alice Glass and Ethan Kath are a super duo who create some of the best electronic music I have come across. They commonly use a vocoder to distort the vocals, which makes this song more interesting than it already is. Even though the song is upbeat, it is soothing and puts you in a mellow mood. Lay back, and enjoy the beat.

Why This Song Appeals To Me: It should be apparent that this is my favorite Cure song. In fact, the title of this very blog comes from this song. A majority of this song is whispered in a sultry voice by Robert Smith. This song, although it has a dark subject matter, is very relaxing.

The Artist: Peter, Bjorn, and John
Notable Lyrics: “Don’t get me wrong now, but we were doomed from the start.”

Why This Song Appeals To Me: I could listen to the song on repeat, and never get sick of it. Peter, Bjorn, and John are one of the many wonder bands to emerge from Sweden. The haunting melody alone makes me love this song. Though, the lyrics are my favorite part. I feel like I can relate to this song.

Why This Song Appeals To Me: While their music is bordering along the line of noise, there is something appealing about their songs; this song in particular. This song never fails to send shivers down my spine. They make New York City proud.

Why This Song Appeals To Me: This song has some of the most beautiful lyrics. The lyrics are stunning. In fact, most of their songs are beautiful. It’s shocking that this band hasn’t merged onto the mainstream scene.

Why This Song Appeals To Me: The title of the song might as well be the best definition to describe it. Magic. This song was love at first listen. This song is so catchy, you can’t help but sing along (that is, if you know the lyrics). Ladyhawke has several amazing songs, but this song of hers is by far the best.

Today was one of the highlights of my weeks; Gyoza day!

Yeah I sorta felt a bit better than yesterday so I decided to try school, it went fairly well if only my back hadnt gotten worse…so freaking painful
Plus my throat was a tad bit clogged and my nose was running, but my stamina was alright…still need more time to mend though…

Gyoza at this place I go eat Gyoza at is pretty okay…could be cooked a bit longer and with proper meat inside, but its the only stuff we get to eat from school, so it´ll have to do.

I have always been a fan of Gyoza, but many places dont serve very decent enough meals.
JFK is good, and also my dad can make a hefty piece of Gyoza.

My love for Gyoza drove me to make a movie graphically and audio-excplicitly depicting some Gyoza-sexual content.

But really, food and sexual activity can be fun, I know many people in the world enjoy such stuff…Like George Costanza for example.

The word is you need three of these: sling, small carrier, and large carrier. So here are the parent favorites in each category.

The moby sling has gotten rave reviews from all the moms I know. It looks complicated, but evidently, it’s not too bad, and can be used a bit longer than the regular one-piece circular sling. Dads have said they hate slings, but on the moby site there are a few photos of Dads who don’t look too uncomfortable.

In the small carrier, the Bjorn is a favorite. Dads especially seem to really like this one. It’s very good for when the baby is still pretty small, and mom is using the sling mostly. And you can get them used on Craigslist–just throw them in the washing machine: ta da.

In large size, the favorite seems to be the Ergo baby carrier (pictured at top).  A complaint is that they baby can’t really face out, except if they are on your back. But, I say whatever to this. Some complain that baby pulls or chews hair. Yeah, that’s what babies do. Tie your hair up. Give them a binky or a pretzel.
