I’m really disappointed that I haven’t been blogging much lately, and I’m envious of all those giveaways I’ve missed

I participated in the needlebook exchange for Tiny Treasures Too and my partner turned out to be Nita, who’s the organiser. This was my first needlebook, so I was a little nervous about how it would turn out. In the end I decided on a simple pattern with a simple finish. I do hope Nita liked it.

Dal nuovo e bellissimo libro di Blackbird Designs “Joyeux Noel”, ho ricamato questo vintage pincushion:

Ho dei ricordi bellissimi della mia  infanzia legati a lei, le  ho sempre voluto tanto bene e gliene voglio ancora tanto;

Just before I left for the US, the eagerly awaited Halloween stocking book by Blackbird Designs arrived in the shop. Which meant that I simply *had* to take it along and start at  least one of the stockings. So while travelling to the US, I picked the what I thought easiest stocking and started stitching. Oh, what fun are these stockings to stitch. Especially one that only requires 2 colors!

Now at some point in time, I will have enough courage to do the finishing. I have seen several tutorials on the web and hope that I will be able to do it myself . We’ll see.

I sent off my beCAUSE It’s Pink exchange piece just a few days ago and it hasn’t arrived yet, so I can’t share a photo, but I can share some snaps of the biscornu that Jeanie who’s a fellow Singaporean stitched for me for the exchange.

I also could not resist ordering some new stash from Drema at Needlecraft Corner. I got Blackbird Designs’ Special Delivery and Midnight Watch with the called-for threads, Little House Needleworks’ The Library and the threads for Primitive Needle’s ABC Hornbook. But I didn’t order the fabric for ABC Hornbook! Oh dear, I feel another order coming on…

My birthday month is coming up in four weeks and that will be a great time to order even more stash since Drema has birthday specials! Now if you’re racking your head for a present for me, the custom cut linen for ABC Hornbook and Plum Street Samplers’ Paradise Lost in 36 count would be nice! You know you love me!

We’ve been busy busy, busy doing nothing.   I haven’t gotten to do any stitching since we’ve gotten here.  I almost did last night.  Sad, ain’t it, when you get happy about almost getting to stitch?

I did get to pick up my framed Strawberry Garden before we left.  I love the top mat.  Accidental BONUS: it matches the entry rug in the hall where I’ve  hung it.

Here’s hoping you (and I) get to really stitch.
