If you want to generate more traffic to your blog, go to http://alphainventions.com/ where visionary Cheru Jackson has invented a blog aggregator for people to read and post blogs in real time.  If you only get a few hits a day and want to be more widely read, head on over to the alpha.  When I put up a post on alphainventions, traffic to my blog increases dramatically.  But, don’t take my word, try it out yourself.  Alpahainventions is the real deal!

Ever feel overwhelmed by the awesome amounts of handmade art? Perhaps a blog like found-handmade is your new BFF. Found-handmade’s motto is “Finding handmade good so you don’t have to.” and they really mean it. It’s a fully searchable blog that also culls great art and craft finds from big handmade product sites like Etsy, 1000 Markets, Art Fire, and Dawanda. With those finds they write articles and make small showcases based on a whimsical themes, or just colors that look rad together. They also offer very affordable advertising.

Not long ago my buddy Sheri at Angellviews talked about AlphaInventions and how it drove viewers to her site.  So I went to AlphaInventions and added my blog to their list.  Lo and behold within a couple of days the amount of folks reading my blog just skyrocketed.  AlphaInventions scrolls through blogs like poop through a goose and it’s a great way to get more interest in your blog and discover new blogging buddies.

What is there in a shopping mall? It’s a one stop shop kind of thing where you have various options available for whatever you want to buy, of course the mall should be selling what you are planning to buy.

Now let’s move to the internet world which actually is a forest and then we have several websites offering same services. This made people to think on why not try to take the pain of maintaining similar service on multiple site from the user and help them with the concept of shopping mall. The outcome was called Web Aggregation. Its there from quite a while.

Lets take a few examples like meebo which aggregates you IM\Messenger and there you can maintain all you messenger simultaneously. A plugin also comes to add this to your blog so that you can chat with your reader. Blogging has taken quite a good place in our internet life hence we cant ignore the blog aggregators.

Other example could be on the email side where even as of now we can view different email on our desktop client. Though it might also look awesome to have over the web provided the complexity has been handled properly along with nice UI. We find a lot of social websites, travel sites, e-commerce websites and this list is very long to be put here though the point is basically to work on taking them to a common platform and let the user manage them easily on you aggregator.

I’ve recently develop a site where all the blogs from Bangladeshi bloggers will be listed. Mainly for last few days I’ve searched the web for a blog directory where all the Bangladeshi blogs but I didnot find any. Actually I found one in 3rd World’s View. I wanted to make a complete directory where any one can find any Bangladeshi blog in a simple and easy way. And here comes BD Bloggerz.

I’ve listed as many blogs as I could, but for listing all the blogs I need the help of all the Bangladeshi bloggers. It is a open request to all – please make post in your blog about this site and please inform others by any means, it may be by email or forum posts.

Mit QR-Codes lassen sich übrigens auch noch ganz andere Informationen verschlüsseln: versandfertige SMS, reine Texte (Notizen), Telefonnummern oder RSS-Feeds. Zu den kompletten Einsatzszenarien von 2d-Codes im Tourismus wird es noch einen seperaten Beitrag geben.

eNewss.com has been around for almost 2 years now. It was just a simple script to grab the blog links from a database and place it on the page.  It also had a page for users to submit their blogs rss/atom feeds. That was all in it and it ran successfully for last 2 years aggregating upto 1500 blogs.

Recently enewss went through sea change and added social networking features to bring bloggers and readers onto one platform and get them discussing on their blogs.

The new design adds the features of online reader with social networking features, which allows the readers and bloggers discover new blogs and keep on reading blogs from their friends.

In about a month, enewss had 100 fully registered members and is growing daily.
eNewss is also considering to revamp existing features like ‘adding friends’, ‘creating groups’, ’submitting blogs’ along with addition of new features like events.

Our game plan for next 2 years is to sponsor blog camp events, increase membership and be known to many indian bloggers. We want to be one of the best Aggregator around in India. Towards that end, we would like to continuously take your feedback and implement them and make it as much blogger friendly as possible.

I would like to appreciate bloggers like Trupthi, Priti and amny more in helping increase the awareness of enewss among recipe bloggers. There are few more bloggers from Kerela who came forward to help us too.

In my honest opinion, enewss still has to go through lots of changes and add new features to be the best and blogger friendly.

Well the big secret is out.. the informant was none other than the snoopy guy on google earth. Apparently he has a knack for drawing it seems..

Enough on the attn grabber now to congratulate the real man behind the scenes.. without whose brainchild we all wont be here in Cyberspace meeting as a community and well maybe even socially networking.. i dunno..

Kottu has developed from a personal blog syndicator to a community.. from 30 blogs to a whopping 433 (at last count) syndicated.. all thanks to Indi! Like Joel Coen said.. “thank you for playing in your corner of the sand box.. and most importantly for letting us play in our corners too”!

The adventures in blogging continue.  Blogging and aggregation is a hot topic in St. Louis lately.  If you blog, you’ve dealt with the up and downsides of it.  If your blog has RSS, there’s a good chance someone is aggregating it.  Maybe that happens inside an RSS reader, but it can also happen at a blog aggregator site.

What’s the harm? Those sites can be both helpful and harmful. Some aggregators capture the entire content of the RSS feed and redisplay it on the site.  Kinder ones showcase the blog feed with human designed setups.

What can you do to get it right? Create your own aggregator of course!

Some of us bloggers are getting together, forming a project to talk about making a better aggregator.  I can’t give up the site yet. It’s still very bare bones.  Currently a team is being assembled.

It’s stirring up in St. Louis. Here’s a little background for that too.

What are you doing about your blog and aggregation?

A lot of my classmates got their first taste of blogging last week, when we were encouraged to begin PR blogs. I guess because I’ve been blogging for a while, i forget how daunting or overwhelming to newbies.

A lot of people have asked me how I keep up with reading the hundred-some-odd blogs I do each day. Well, its all about using a blog aggregator. An aggregator, also known as a feed or news reader, is an application to which all of your blogs, podcasts, and other syndicated web content feed to, so you only have to go to a single location to view them.  Essentially, it is the solution to your blog organization problems.  To learn more about aggregators and RSS feeds in general, read this backgrounder from PCWorld.com, it explains the basics.

An aggregator can make your blogging life so much easier. It’s obviously quicker than visiting each blog individually, as you don’t waste time surfing from page to page; it also saves time because it only feeds basic text, pictures and videos, getting rid of loading time on busier or more complex pages.  Pulling everything together with an aggregator is an step to becoming a successful blogger, as it allows you easy access to the feeds you read regularly.

I use the Google Reader. I like it best. For those who don’t want to use Google though, try Bloglines, its highly recommended.  To learn more about which aggregator may suit you better, read this article from ReadWriteWeb.  Don’t like Google or Bloglines?  Check out the other alternatives here.

If you get the Google Reader aggregator, and add all of your blog subscriptions, it should look something like this:

As you can see, all of your subscribed blogs are listed on the left, for easy navigation. The Reader also allows you to customize how you organize your subscriptions, so you can group Canadian blogs, friends’ blogs, etc. as you please.

When you pick the blog you wish to read, it opens on the right/main side of the reader. Here we can see the feed from Ed Lee’s PR blog for young professionals,
Blogging Me, Blogging You (a great blog, make sure you check it out!) As you can see, the Reader allows you to view the most recent posting, but also lets you scroll through the entire roster of blogs, if you so desire. It’s also helpful in that it tells you which blogs have new postings, as well as it lets you tag posts of interest for archiving.

Plain and simple, make your life easier: get a blog aggregator.
