Well, it’s been a few weeks since I posted and to get back into the festive and crafting spirit, I’ve decided to give away some candy.

i want to start by taking a moment to recognize the fact that today is Veteran’s Day.  not only to thank all the folks who have or are risking their lives but to also thanks the families of those folks that stay here and “hold down the fort” while the soldiers are away and pick up the pieces when their sodlier comes home gravely injured.  i truly cannot imagine the strength it must take….

now onto an exciting tidbit of news – i have been asked to be a member of the Just Buggin’ cricut challenge design team!!!!   i have to say i am really excited about it!!  i have been using my cricut alot more lately and love the challenges samantha gives over there so it’s a perfect fit for me!  i love my cricut and hope you will join in if you have a cricut too!

now for my project – which has no cricut on it – AH HAHHAHAH!  but it does have cuttlebugging and a gigantic bow:

isn’t she sweet!!  she is also a pollycraft digi - i printed off a whole page of them   so you will see more!  i don’t think i have EVER doen the white core embossed cardstock thing and am not into core’dinations papers HOWEVER i do like how this turned out – makes me think rustic which goes well with a pixie/sprite i think!  and i used one of the new UK only cuttlebug embossing folders i won from the Cuttlebug Spot – i am SO SO happy with those folders!!

i covered a few challenges with this one:

i started with my friend Jen’s Sketch For You To Try which is always fantastic!

i colored her with Copics and added LOTS of sparkle with spica pens.  i am especially pleased with her wings.  dontcha love it when the *real life* version turns out just like you pictured in your head?  i gave her wings some very light shading in the green.  then i painted them with Pink Highlights Creative Inspirations shimmer paint – LOVE this stuff!  finally i traced over the swirls with a gold spica pen.  in real life they ahve just the right hints of green and pink along with loads of shimmery goodness!

well pezzy the wonder tot has been up since 5 am, i have done 2 loads of laundry and need to get my dishes washed and grocery list made so i better scoot!

I just adore the new sketch over at the MOJO MONDAY blog..
and for me a perfect excuse to use one of my many, many new Tilda’s!

The challenge at ASFoS this week is to make a scene,
so I masked Tilda with wreath and stamped the Chimney with stockings and text stamp behind her..

The fabulous papers are also by Magnolia..
Loving the rich browns, and the quality is awesome!

She is coloured with Copics,
found the clasp in my stash drawer and tied some Gisela Graham ribbon on it.

Lo swap di Natale

Lo swap di Natale è aperto a chiunque legga Mammafelice: sia i possessori di blog, sia chi un blog non ce l’ha.
Swapperemo le nostre Decorazioni di Natale Handmade, ovvero le decorazioni per l’albero create con le nostre mani, con qualsiasi materiale, purchè non fragile.

Decorazioni di Natale Handmade sono: piccoli abbellimenti in pannolenci, stoffa, feltro, cartone e cartoncino, con tecnica scrap, con la tecnica del quilting, realizzate ai ferri o all’uncinetto, con materiali di recupero, con cartapesta… insomma: tutto ciò che vi viene in mente e che sapete di poter realizzare nei tempi previsti, purchè non si tratti di oggetti di vetro, oggetti che possono rompersi e oggetti preziosi.

Swap 3 a 3: ciascun partecipante si impegna a spedire 3 piccole decorazioni a 3 persone diverse, e riceverà altrettante decorazioni da 3 persone diverse.

Come si spedisce: visto che le Poste ci hanno già rovinato parecchi swap, perdendo i pacchetti o trafugando gli oggetti al loro interno (!!), vi impegnate a spedire tramite busta ben sigillata (diversi giri di nastro da pacchi possono essere un deterrente) e assicurata o raccomandata (fino al 16 Gennaio sul sito delle Poste c’è segnalata l’offerta Raccomandata 1, che arriva in un giorno).

Fotografie: per rendere la cosa più semplice, e anche più rispettosa del lavoro di tutti, ciascuno sarà responsabile delle proprie fotografie. Quando avrete realizzato le vostre decorazioni, potete mandare le vostre foto all’indirizzo swap@mammafelice.it, per vederle pubblicate su una galleria apposita che ospiterò sul mio account Flickr.

Come si spediscono le foto:
- larghezza massima 600px;
- foto corredata di nick (o nome) di chi l’ha scattata;
- foto corredata di link all’eventuale blog di appartenenza.

I 5 Candy di Natale… e altro

Abbinati allo swap di Natale, ci saranno 5 Candy che riguarderanno sempre le decorazioni di Natale. Dal 23 Novembre al 21 Dicembre, ogni lunedì pubblicherò una Decorazione di Natale fatta da me, che sarà oggetto del Candy. Ogni Lunedì sera, tra le partecipanti al Candy, estrarrò una vincitrice, che riceverà le mie Decorazioni dello Swap di Natale.

Chi non partecipa al Candy (ma anche chi partecipa), avrà comunque modo di partecipare ad altri Candy, che verranno organizzati tra Novembre e Dicembre grazie agli sponsor o ai sostenitori di Mammafelice.
