Had thanksgiving with my sister’s family, today.  I tried two delicious recipes from “whole foods” and really enjoyed the green bean casserole take.   Instead of the onion straws, it’s topped with onion flavored chips.  Yummie.  We went to see the new Muppet Movie and I really enjoyed it.  I love both the main actors, (Amy Adams and Jason Segel).  But I especially loved going back in time to being little and watching the Muppet Show and movies.  Highlights:  covers of “Teen Spirit” (Nirvana) and “F you” (cee lo) and Animal in every scene he did.

Anyway, after all this babbling, I wanted to let you know that I posted my Christmas gnome Ornaments on my etsy.  Please buy them as adorable/affordable gifts for your friends.

Also!  I made my Christmas gnome video.  I’m happy that I am getting better at it,but realized that I need to update my computer to be able to get the quality I want.  Unfortunately, a new computer is not going to happen anytime soon.

I love this video, because I thought about “Amadeus” the movie, plus “Amadeus” by Falco as inspiration.  Mostly, I’m talking about the costumes and makeup.  Enjoy!

So, I am very proud of this video of the Mushroom Squatters.  They worked VERY hard on every thing from the set to the music and performance.  It was actually a bit of a wild night.  I found plants knocked over, empty beer cans everywhere and for some reason, my furniture was stacked into one tall tower in my living room.  Enjoy!

J.R. mentioned the other day that if I were ever cut, I would bleed out tiny little gnomes.

First of all, HomeGrown in downtown Decatur is selling my small gnomes now! So go check ‘em out in person. I hope Lori, the owner doesn’t mind them moving things around in the store, since they tend to move things. Plus, she might have to gather those gnome figurines up every morning and put them in their proper place.

I’m so glad it’s a short week. Hope you had a great 4th of July. USA! USA!

I’ve been working like craze on my art this weekend. I finished a ‘Birds of a Feather’ family portrait. I painted an illustration to submit to a SCBWI contest and I sketched a bunch for some new paintings on wood. Also, I bought a sawhorse table because I want to make wood cutout paintings, which I am VERY excited about!

Also, I’ve been a bit ill, so I’ll be posting more next week.  I have had a very sore throat for a few days.

In wedding news,  I finally finished talking to the photographer about our Engagement Book, and the final proof should be coming out this week!  And I also am talking to a florist.  This is good.  I need to get this stuff done.

I have some great ideas for swapping, including my new favorite item to make, ganache.

I made cupcakes with ganache instead of icing for our Lost party (no comments, please).

They were awesome.  I am not good at making frosting, so I think ganache is my calling!
