Fomes fomentarius. Como el resto de los hongos, la planta carece de flores y por lo tanto no tiene época de floración. La base vegetativa de los hongos esta constituida por el micelio; aparece formando una serie de hebrillas que se alargan bajo tierra y que se unen al pie de la seta propiamente dicha. Esta parte se mantiene todo el año.  El aparato reproductor lo constituye la  propia seta. Las laminillas que hay en el sombrero contienen las esporas.

Aparte de recolectarlo para hacer fuego. Durante mucho tiempo fue uno de los remedios preferidos por los médicos para cortar hemorragias y absorber la sangre y otros líquidos. Luego hubo un tiempo que se dejo de utilizar en los preparados de los facultativos, para despues volver a retomarse.

Supongo que las gotitas que se observan, en el hongo, sera savia de la que absorbe del árbol; si alguien lo sabe por favor que me lo diga.

I’m sorry for not updating this blog in a while, I have been tremendously busy at school recently and haven’t found the time to sit down and think about what I want to write. And even now I can’t figure out what to write as all I was doing for perhaps five minutes before typing this was staring at the ‘create post’ screen on my WordPress dashboard.

But anyway, I wish you all a happy weekend, and don’t worry more interesting material to come this weekend!

here’s the deal. the mixing and mastering on the album isn’t totally done yet. the engineer doing it could have put a rush job on it, but everyone decided it would be a terrible idea to compromise quality to meet a deadline, and i couldn’t agree more. the good news is: the album will be released sometime next week, not a million years from now. also good news: the guys put up a new song on their myspace to hold everyone over until the whole thing is released.

No inicio desse mes foi gravado o aniversario do programa da Globo Altas Horas apresentado pelo Serginho Groisman, o programa cumpriu 10 anos no ar e esse ano a festa foi no popular piscinão de Ramos no Rio de Janeiro. Meu filho que todo sabado assiste o programa foi até o Rio de janeiro para poder estar na gravação do programa que contou com varias personalidades da musical nacional.

Diz meu filho que ainda com a chuva e com o mal tempo as pessoas nao paravam de chegar e segundo os dados oficiais foram mais de 80 mil pessoas ao evento que sera apresentado amanha no horario do programa normal.

Things are progressing rather quickly indeed!

I’ve been working on the town.  The story called for there to be a pond on the outskirts, so I started building that yesterday.  I made it too big, so it turned into a small lake, but I like it that way, so I’m keeping it.  Adding detail, I decided to generate some thick foliage in the surrounding area.  This area of the game world has now ended up turning into The Path.  Goodness.  I hope it doesn’t end up being too plagiarised.  Then again, I’d give anything for Post Script to be that good.

Detail added, a lovely warm fire in the middle and so forth, and it’s ended up looking like this:

Then today, I started putting some detail on the building interiors.  I haven’t actually finished building all the exterior yet, by any means, but I wanted to get a feel of how everything was going to work together.  Played about with lighting for a while – wanted to have this building so the sun came in through the windows and cast some nice shadows – but the sun’s angle was wrong so it didn’t work.  So it’s nasty old electric lights for this one.

I might add something to this, at some point.  My only worry is how detailed it’s all getting, when it’s one giant sprawling map.  It seems to be running smoothly enough at the moment, but the town’s only half-built, and if every building’s as detailed as this one on the inside, I could be asking for trouble.  To be honest, though, as boxy as this looks, I think it pretty much works.  In context, there would be no reason for this building to contain anything else.

I’m also brainstorming for some little atmospheric touches to litter the game: music, sound effects, visual effects etc.  I’ve been playing both The Path and Dear Esther for inspiration, since I guess – despite some substantial differences – those are probably the closest existing titles to Post Script.  The ways those two use sound in particular is fantastic.

So I’ve been trying out a few similar things.  And, well… to heck with it.  I whipped up a mini-trailer incorporating all the stuff I’ve been doing.  Enjoy!

Ko o čemu baba o uštipcima. Tako ću ja i o ovom blogu. To je inače sve češći običaj i u domaćoj i u međunarodnoj blogosferi – blogovi na kojima blogeri bloguju o blogpostovima, blogovanju i drugim blogerima. Poblogu, narode, vidite li vi koliko je to blogovanja u krug. Aj’ sad malo i ja.

Ovaj blog je registrovan kasno sinoć. Prvi tekst je pušten i tweetnut oko 3h i 40 minuta, 27. novembra, 2009. godine. Dakle, pre jedva 18 sati od trenutka kada će ovaj članak biti objavljen i tweetnut. U poslednjih 18 sati,  moja malenkost je uspela da copy/paste-uje, parafrazira, citira, linkuje, pa i napiše po koju svoju reč u obliku 5 blogpostova i jedne uvodne stranice kao i da doda pristojan blogroll. Inače, ako se pitate da li mogu ovako ceo dan, svaki dan – da, mogu. Danas sam stigla nešto da skuvam i  da radim, mož’te misliti.

Na Twitter-u je zadobijena pažnja, retweetovano više puta, što ‘ručno’ što putem nove Twitterove RT opcije, chatovalo se o novorođenom blogu, pa se čak i spominjao na blogu kod koleginice. (Na tome hvala @verkic. Lepo je znati da je još neko brz, informisan i kolegijalan.) A posećenost jednodnevnog bloga možete pogledati i sami na gore nakačenoj fotki. Eto kako se frazom i parafrazom, uz malo linkovanja i copy/paste prevoda postaje poznat i ‘uticajan’ bloger u Srbijici. A ne. Sad pogledala statistike i grešim. Make that – na teritoriji bivše Jugoslavijice.

Antes ninguem tinha e todos queriam, hoje todos tem e ninguem quer. Sobram convites em vários orkuts. Não tem nem como vender mais, poderiamos ganhar uma graninha com essa “MODINHA”. Bom assunto: “MODINHA”. Será por que, que aqui em Cataguases tudo vira moda, se um tem o resto todo da ROÇA quer ter? Além de ser apenas uma simples “MODINHA” vem com um pouco de inveja, quem aceita um pacote?

Fomes fomentarius. Crece en todo tipo de árboles, se adosa al tronco y alcanza unas dimensiones mucho mayores que las de otros hongos de sus mismas características; así puede medir treinta cm. de ancho por 15 cm de grosor. Es mucho más visible que los demas hongos que se crían en los árboles, pues debido a su tamaño, sobresale mucho. Se van formando un monton de tubos que se colocan de manera estratificada y segun pasan los años se añaden nuevas capas al hongo anterior si el árbol no esta muerto. Esta especie se encuentra por toda Península Iberica.

Now that I’m actually ready to own of these technological babies, the brain is starting to go into overload on the available options.  There’s the iPhone, the Kindle, the Nook, the Sony Reader, and even more it seems.  Options of wireless capability.  500K free digital downloads, touchscreens, color capability, size, weight, available books for purchase, ability to work with multiple platforms, and more = fizzled brain. 

Being I have friends and co-horts who own a Blackberry, an iPhone, and a Kindle (vs. the option of ONE device to meet all of these needs), how does one overcome that challenge? Really, who wants to carry those 3 devices AND possibly a laptop onto an airplane, public tranpsortation,or possibly to one’s car (on a daily basis)?  Honestly 1-2 devices should be enough. . . especially if the same person(s) are also toting an iPod too.  At least I would be in that figurative bind.

After spending a good two hours trying to compare the various items, my ability to make a final decision still feels very fuzzy right now.  If someone forced me to make a decision now, it would probably be the Nook….even though I REALLY like the Kindle.

If any of my tech savvy readers have a better argument for a different reader, please, please, please give a girl some help here.  The goal?  To only buy ONE e-book reader.

Você deve estar se perguntando o por que dos “XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX”, esses “XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX”, são simplesmente “XXXXXXXXXXXXX’s”, sacou jow? Voltando ao assunto do “FALAR SÉRIO”, hoje em dia encontrar um pessoa que “FALA SÉRIO” é meio que impossivel, certo? Mundando de assunto e fazendo logo uma leve e breve pergunta: Por que as mulheres dizem que os homens são farinhas do mesmo saco? É uma frase sem sentido algum. Pra nós homens, as mulheres só mudam a cor do cabelo e o nome, é simples (essa sim tem sentido). SAGACIDADE MANÉ!

21 november: Ik blog over de bionische anus.

24 november: Het weekblad Humo ligt in de rekken. Op pagina 41 heeft (pdw) zijn wekelijkse rubriek ‘Week Tartaar’. Een leuke rubriek. Grappig zelfs. Het tweede puntje gaat over..het bionische rectum.

Conclusie: Internet is veel sneller. (pdw) zou beter opnieuw beginnen bloggen.

Jef vs. Humo: 1-0

Fomes fomentarius; Basidiomycets; Aphyllophorales. Hongo yesquero o Casco de caballo. Es una seta que tiene forma de casco de caballo, de color blanco grisaceo al principio y según va envejeciendo se va oscureciendo hasta que llega a ser negruzco. Posee tubos terminados en pequeños poros de color blanco. Lo podemos encontrar todo el año. Se encuentra viviendo sobre los troncos de los árboles de los cuales se alimenta. Casi siempre sobre árboles enfermos. Lo podemos encontrar todo el año. 

Su nombre común se le da, debido que se utilizaba para encender el fuego. El polvo que se obtenia despues su trituración se llama yesca y es muy inflamable.
