100ml of Coconut oil with 25 drops of mandarin and 30 drops of neroli essential oils is excellent for stretch marks.

“i thank god for this most amazing day, for the leaping greenly spirits of trees & for the blue dreams of sky & for everything which is natural, which is infinite, which is yes.” — e.e. cummings

“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough” — Oprah Winfrey

“Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude.” — Ralph Waldo Emerson

“Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all others.” — Marcus Tullius Cicero

“I am thankful for laughter, except when milk comes out of my nose.” — Woody Allen

“I do not think we have a “right” to happiness. If happiness happens, say thanks.” — Marlene Dietrich

“Purring is not so different from praying. To a tree, a cat’s purr is one of the purest of all prayers, for in it lies a whole mixture of gratitude and longing, the twin ingredients of every prayer.” — Kathi Appelt (The Underneath)

“I am as bad as the worst, but, thank God, I am as good as the best. “ — Walt Whitman

“When we find someone who is brave, fun, intelligent, and loving, we have to thank the universe.” — Maya Angelou

“Everyday, think as you wake up, today I am fortunate to be alive, I have a precious human life, I am not going to waste it. I am going to use all my energies to develop myself, to expand my heart out to others; to achieve enlightenment for the benefit of all beings. I am going to have kind thoughts towards others, I am not going to get angry or think badly about others. I am going to benefit others as much as I can.” — Dalai Lama XIV

“In the end, though, maybe we must all give up trying to pay back the people in this world who sustain our lives. In the end, maybe it’s wiser to surrender before the miraculous scope of human generosity and to just keep saying thank you, forever and sincerely, for as long as we have voices.” — Elizabeth Gilbert (Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman’s Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia)

“You pray in your distress and in your need; would that you might pray also in the fullness of your joy and in your days of abundance.” — Kahlil Gibrán (The Prophet)

“Gratitude is a ‘heart’ memory” — French Proverb

“He was still too young to know that the heart’s memory eliminates the bad and magnifies the good, and that thanks to this artifice we manage to endure the burden of the past.” — Gabriel García Márquez (Love in the Time of Cholera)

“In everyone’s life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.” — Albert Schweitzer

“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them. ” — John F. Kennedy

“I tell you this, my friends, in the experience of my life time, the failure and the pain have certainly outstripped the triumphs. But this has not destroyed my faith — my faith in reason, in truth, in human solidarity — but, on the contrary, it has made it indestructible. I see the hope of the world in you. And, from my heart, I thank you.” — Frida Kahlo

“Thank you, God, for this good life and forgive us if we do not love it enough.” — Garrison Keillor

Tonight, when Elliot and I were shopping at Kroger – actually, since this is Michigan, I will refer to it as The Krogers – I saw this man who lived in my neighborhood as a kid. The only reason I remember him is that he looks exactly like George from the Jeffersons.

Hey Weezy!

Well, now that I have Googled a picture of George Jefferson, I realize that neighbor George Jefferson is whiter. But the hair and mustache are right on.

Thing is, he still looks exactly the same. And it has been more than 10 years since I moved out of that house. And he looked the same for the 9 years that I lived there. He’s like some sort of magical, Dick Clark not-aging George Jefferson guy.

And then I wondered, since I have seen him around town over the years and always note his presence, has he ever noticed that I’m looking at him? I never thought about the fact that the George Jefferson guy (he has it a lot easier than another of my childhood neighbors, a crazy woman who wandered up and down Washtenaw Ave. whom we referred to as Saggy Boobs Lady or, for short, Saggy Boobs) may have also been noting my presence this entire time. Like, Hey, there’s that kid who grew up in my neighborhood and never seems to have moved away!

Or, even worse – and somehow more appropriate – Hey, there’s that kid who looked like Blossom!

Yep.

Yesterday I went shopping with my friend Katelyn in downtown Mesa. She keeps telling me about this store that I would love, so we finally made it down there. OH. MY. GOSH. I could have died and gone to heaven. I’m not even exaggerating. The store is called Domestic Bliss and let’s be honest, it should just be called Danielle’s Bliss. It took every ounce of effort not to pull out that little credit card and tell the cashier, “I’ll take one of everything, please!” While I did not make any purchases today, it definitely got my brain going and my hands moving in my own house. I am so thrilled to find a store that it just me!

Another store we went in that I was also drooling over was Blossom. It’s this precious salon with retail in the front half of the store. It’s definitely a mix of Anthropologie and modern… fun yet classic. They had amazing clothes at amazing deals! I got a few lovelys there and I must say, it felt fabulous to finally have some clothes that fit!

Here are some pictures of these amazing stores…unfortunately I didn’t have my camera with me so I pulled these off the internet…

Distinguished by their large, beautiful blooms and wide assortment of vibrant colors, gerbera daisie

Distinguished by their large, beautiful blooms and wide assortment of vibrant colors, gerbera daisies have become a favorite flower choice for expressing cheerful sentiments. The traditional flower, gerbera daisy means beauty and innocence.

Distinguished by large flowering heads that closely resemble those of sunflowers, gerbera daisies come in a vibrant rainbow of colors. Bright pink, snow white, sunny yellow, and ruby red are just a few of the gorgeous colors that these happy flowers boast.

The gerbera daisy was discovered in 1884 near Barberton, South Africa, by Scotsman Robert Jameson. While the flower’s scientific name, Gerbera jamesonii, recollects the name of its founder, the meaning of its common name draws from German naturalist Traugott Gerber. Breeding programs that began in England in 1890 enhanced the flower’s quality and color variations. The gerbera daisy’s popularity soon traveled to growers in the Netherlands which, along with Columbia, is the primary distributor of the flower’s cut version today. The gerbera currently ranks as the fifth most popular flower in the world behind the rose, carnation, chrysanthemum, and tulip.

There are many types of flowers which can help to express our thoughts and feelings for our loved ones, but the gerbera daisy and its meaning stand out as one of the most distinctly bright and merry. With its bold and striking appearance, the gerbera daisy has become the most highly-prized daisy variety. When you send gerbera daisies, know that these fresh flowers convey a deeply meaningful message and make a lively lasting impression. Apart from all, the gerbera variety holds an added meaning of cheerfulness, which stems from the assortment of colors available.

Some Interesting Facts about Gerberas:

Having a long vase life, Gerbera flowers are widely used in the Cut Flower Industry. Gerberas are great flowers for adding color to any room or garden.

Gerberas are also referred to as Gerbera Daisies, daisy being a general name for all species in the family Asteraceae, to which Gerberas belong.

Gerbera flowers often measure 7 inches (17.8 cm) across.

Gerberas come in a wide range of colors – from light to dark yellow, orange, pink, brilliant scarlet, deep red, and many more colors.

Gerberas can be used in landscapes as bedding plants for borders and flower beds or as Cut Flowers for table arrangements.

Gerberas are native to Transvaal, South Africa.

Hybrid Gerbera varieties cloned through tissue culture are uniform, and have long-lasting flowers with thick peduncles that are not light sensitive; hence, flowers remain open in the dark, lending themselves to indoor use in flower arrangements.

As a Photographer I have an excellent collection of these beauties and I have posted a few of them here that were very popular among my friends in Flickr too. See the Beauty and innocence for your self.

Did you know that three essential oils come from the bitter orange tree!

Bitter orange from the fruit rind, extracted by steam distillation.

The smell reminds me of my childhood, happy days, sunshine and orange ice blocks…

This oil, like all citrus essential oils is excellent for depression, stress & anxiety. It also works well on the digestive tract aiding in the digestive process. Associated to the sacral chakra, great for creative expression.

Neroli, one off my all time favourites! heaven in a bottle. This essential oil comes from the orange blossoms, it is divine. Known as the rescue remedy to the nervous system. This oil is very nourishing and is used for mature and dry skin conditions. This is a heart oil it brings love, peace and harmony.

A very safe oil to use as it has no known contra-indications. I love it on it’s own as a perfume.

Petitgrain is extracted from the leaves and twigs of the bitter orange tree. A very fresh green aroma. I often use it in spritzers and mens aftershaves. I like to use this oil on the throat chakra for communicaton.

Good morning friends. In every relationship whatever kind of relationship is that, we should give t

Good morning friends. In every relationship whatever kind of relationship is that, we should give the kindness and love to it to get the blossom we wanted. We should give the best. There is one good stuff I read and it should be shared to everyone.

Human beings are born in relationship and the lives we lead right from infancy to old age are anchored in relationships. It is in relationship that we grow and achieve adulthood and die in the final peace that comes through dying in a trusting relationship with God.

There are many views on the nature of human relationships. In practice, however, it is the day-to-day relationships that must survive the wear and tear of daily life. Sometimes we find that in order not to sour a relationship, it is better to keep a distance. At other times, a clean break becomes necessary. We need to learn to cultivate relationships in a way that there is room for love, mutual respect and space for the other to grow.

At work the equations are different. In an office or a work environment, in which hierarchy is important, relationships tend to remain at a rather superficial level. There is a certain give and take in official relationships, but they rarely survive once we are out of that particular work situation and environment.

The family, which was once the primary environment for close relationships, is no longer so for many because the sanctity of relationships is under threat. When mistrust and insecurity make demands of family life cloying, we might have to make that extra effort to strike a balance that will restore the pristine nature of the original relationship.

Relationships become our chief means of reaching God. Ritual, common prayer, worship and solidarity are all conventional ways to do this. If we wish to take the relationship still further, we might have to establish a more personal link with God. Sometimes, the give and take of ordinary relationships creates a gentle arc that connects us to the Divine.
