El BMW X6 es uno de esos coches por los que babeo. Su mezcla entre SUV y deportivo me hace perder el sentido. Sería uno de los muchos coches que tendría en mi garaje. Para más información, lo compraría en blanco con las lunas tintadas en negro y unas llantas bien grandes de color negro. Pero de momento me parece que no me llega con lo que tengo. En abril de 2010 llegará al mercado español una versión híbrida del X6, aunque se parece más bien poco al concepto de híbrido que tenemos en mente.

Como todo híbrido, esta versión reducirá sus consumos y emisiones en aproximadamente un 20%. No sólo esto. Con esta motorización mixta, compuesta por un propulsor gasolina y dos eléctricos, mejorará las prestaciones. Es capaz de utilizar por separado ambas motorizaciones. Con la propulsión eléctrica puede alcanzar los 65 km/h, con consumo y emisiones nulos.

Su motor de gasolina es un V8 turbo que genera 408 cv de potencia. La potencia total del vehículo se sitúa en 485 caballos. Sí, es un híbrido, pero un híbrido de altas prestaciones. Un híbrido que puede dejar atrás a muchos de los coches premium que encontramos en el mercado.

Entre el equipamiento de serie del X6 ActiveHybrid podemos destacar la alarma -casi suena de chiste decir esto-, el portón trasero automático, ventilación de los asientos delanteros -para llevar el culo bien fresquito-, sistema de DVD para las plazas traseras…

Este tipo de caprichos es caro, no todo el mundo se los puede permitir -más bien se los puede permitir la minoría de la población-. El precio recomendado para el mercado español será de 118.000 euros. Quién fuera millonario… Seguramente alguno que ya lo sea, que pueda permitirse todo tipo de lujos, ya no le llenen estas cosas. Quizá es mejor vivir de nuestros sueños.

Scuttleshake is proud to report that it is breaking media silence on a shameful secret BMW has done its best to maintain.

Unknown to most members of the public the manufacturer has developed a coupe-SUV-crossover called the X6 that has met with revulsion, horror and condemnation from the motoring press.

These reports have been suppressed by a notorious law firm acting for BMW, and have only come to light due to MP for Tadchester, Ralph Wirrn, tabling a question to Lord Mandelson in parliament.

Scuttleshake is prevented from revealing the contents of this question, but can reveal that it refers to the BMW X6 – a car that Quentin Wilson called ‘an absolute fucking affront to every sane man, woman and child on the face of the Earth,’ in an article prevented from reaching the public.

The existence of the X6 is widely known within the motoring industry, but a super-injunction has been obtained preventing the media reporting its existence.

A BMW insider explained that the car is such an embarrassment to its owners that it has been widely suppressed, and any publication mentioning it slapped with powerful writs.

20,000 X6 models were reportedly dumped in Chad earlier this year.

GM recently obtained a similar injunction against anyone mentioning its Hummer range.

Nemački Hamann Motorsports nastavlja da izbacuje nove kreacije na bazi BMW-ovog SAC (Sports Activity Coupe) modela X6. Najnoviji u nizu je X6 Tycoon EVO (premijera će biti na Salonu u Frankfurtu), nastavak projekta X6 Tycoon, predstavljenog u januaru ove godine.

U svakom slučaju, još jedan X6 sa znatno agresivnijim izgledom i unapređenim performansama. Ovo prvo je zasluga aero body paketa (novi prednji branik sa integrisanim LED svetlima, proširenja blatobrana, zadnji krovni spojler, spojler na poklopcu prtljažnika, pragovi, zadnji difuzor), novog izduvnog sistema sa dva završetka, za 40 mm spuštenog ogibljenja i Design Edition Race aluminijumskih točkova od 23 inča (sa gumama dimenzija 315/25R23).

Prava poslastica su kao i obično motori. Tako je X6 xDrive35i pojačan na 265kW/360KS, a obrtni moment na 540 Nm (dovoljno da maksimalna brzina poraste na 275 km/h), dok xDrive50i razvija 501KS i 700 Nm (pa najveća brzina iznosi tačno 300 km/h).

Što se dizelaša tiče, X6 xDrive30d sada raspolaže sa 195kW/265KS i 600 Nm, a X6 xDrive35d sa 235kW/320KS i 660 Nm.

Ni unutrašnjost Tycoona nije ostala serijska, pa Hamann kupcima nudi aluminijumske pedale, elemente od karbon fibera, Hamann patosnice, trokraki sportski upravljač…

Isso mesmo, a montadora alemã entra com os dois pés – e as quatro rodas – no mercado de luxo sustentável com seu modelo SUV campeão de vendas.

O X6 Active Hybrid terá motor de 4.4 litros V8 e um sistema de recuperação de energia nos freios que ajudará na constante alimentação das baterias. Outra novidade é que o silencioso módulo elétrico estará apto a funcionar acima dos 64km/h, média bem acima dos modelos híbridos da concorrência.

Những hình ảnh và thông tin chính thức đầu tiên của hai mẫu BMW X6 và 7-Series Hybrid đã được hé lộ, trước khi chúng trình làng tại Triển lãm ô tô Frankfurt vào tháng tới.

Phiên bản thân thiện với môi trường này của cả hai mẫu BMW X6 và 7-series đều mang tên ActiveHybrid. Tuy nhiên, xe 7-Series và sử dụng một động cơ xăng V8 kết hợp với một mô-tơ điện; còn xe X6 kết hợp với hai mô-tơ điện.

Hệ thống động cơ của xe Xe BMW X6 ActiveHybrid cho tổng công suất 478 mã lực và mô-men xoắn 575 lb-ft, cho phép xe tăng tốc 0-100 km/h trong 5,6 giây – chậm hơn chỉ 0,2 giây so với xe xDrive50i trang bị động cơ xăng V8 twin-turbo 408 mã lực. Sự chậm trễ không đáng kể này của X6 ActiveHybrid có thể là do trọng lượng xe tăng thêm 185 kg bởi công nghệ hybrid.

BMW cho biết mẫu X6 ActiveHybrid có mức tiêu thụ nhiên liệu trung bình 28,5 dặm/gallon. Tuy nhiên, hiện chưa rõ tính theo đơn vị Anh hay theo đơn vị Mỹ, nếu theo đơn vị Anh, mức tiêu thụ sẽ là 9,9 lít/100km, còn nếu theo đơn vị Mỹ, mức tiêu thụ là 8,3 lít/100km. Thay đổi hình thức cho phiên bản hybrid này của xe BMW X6 so với phiên bản tiêu chuẩn gồm: bộ lazăng đúc thiết kế mới, các tấm biển ActiveHybrid, và màu sơn xanh nhạt ánh kim.

Ở BMW 7-Series ActiveHybrid, vì động cơ xăng chỉ kết hợp với một mô-tơ điện nên kém mạnh mẽ hơn xe X6 hybrid, cho công suất 459 mã lực và mô-men xoắn 561 lb-ft. Bản hybrid của xe 7-Series có khả năng tăng tốc 0-100 km/h trong 4,9 giây, và tiêu thụ nhiên liệu trung bình ở mức 29,1 dặm/gallon, tức là 8,1 hoặc 9,7 lít/100km tùy theo đơn vị của Mỹ hay Anh.

Để tiện so sánh, xe BMW 750i động cơ xăng V8 tăng áp kép 4.4L công suất 408 mã lực có khả năng tăng tốc 0-100 km/h trong 5,2 giây, và tiêu thụ trung bình 11,4 lít/100 km, tương đương mức 20,6 dặm/gallon Mỹ và 24,8 dặm/gallon Anh.

Tehnologia folosită de această maşină este net superioară celorlalte tehnologii convenţionale folosite de constructorii concurenţi, iar consumul de carburanţi şi emisiile de CO2 sunt cu 20% mai mici!

De asemenea, maşina este dotată cu 480 de cai putere (enorm), însă constructorii se gândesc să limiteze viteza maximă la 209 km/h.

Review:

Both the BMX X6 and the Infiniti FX seem to subscribe to the same school of thought that says that because the consumers are moving away from big SUVs, perhaps they would feel more comfortable with a small SUV that looks more like a much smaller car. Although the X6 claims to be a cross between a coupe and SUV, it comes across more like a jacked up hatchback and has not received too many accolades from the auto community for its strange look. While the Infiniti FX has managed to polarize the opinions on its boot-like design between love and hate, the BMW X6 seems to have drawn little but criticism for its styling, redeemed only by the fact that it goes like a rocket and handles like a dream. Who it is targeting is the big question however, as it is too small for big families who would normally go for SUVs and too much like a SUV for those wanting a coupe.2009 BMW X6 Performance

In its performance the BMW X6 is much more like its sedan cousins than its SUV ones, and fits aptly with BMW’s description of it as a “Sports Activity Vehicle”. It may look weird, but it drives like the best BMW has to offer. The base engine is the tried and true 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline V6 that produces 300hp and 300lb-ft of torque and appears in the xDrive 35i. Acceleration to 60mph comes in at 6.5 seconds and transmission is BMW’s six-speed automatic with steering wheel paddles and manual shift gate. The inline 6 is a brilliant engine and in this SUV cum sports sedan it shines, being light enough to be nimble yet powerful enough to accelerate with conviction.

If that is not enough power for you, the xDrive 50i takes on the Porsche Cayenne head-on with a new 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 that cranks out 400hp and 450lb-ft of torque. It makes 60mph in an awesome 5.3 seconds and is seriously difficult to keep under the speed limit, being the most powerful engine ever in a BMW SUV. This is all the more impressive since it is a full 2 tons of weight, but BMW have worked hard to maximize this engine’s potential, and one gets the feeling that it is being groomed in the X6 for wider application in their other vehicles. Turbo lag has been minimized by placing the turbos in the center of the block for shorter intake and exhaust manifolds, which in simple terms increases the efficiency of the engine.

The X6 does not provide a smooth and softly cushioned ride for its passengers, being much more focused on sport performance. It is equipped with double wish-bone front suspension and rear multi-link suspension, making it feel particularly firm and with a tendency to amplify every bump in the road. But when you are having this much fun, it is all good. There is a degree of body roll into the corners which is inevitable in an SUV with a high center of gravity, yet the road grip is rock solid and there is no concern about throwing it into corners. Braking is brilliant with the four-wheel ventilated disc brakes, and all X6s are all-wheel drive for great all-weather performance. Fuel economy is 15/20mpg city/highway for the xDrive 35i and 13/18mpg for the xDrive 50i.

2009 BMW X6 Interior and Features

While the interior of the X6 is typically luxurious for a BMW, the cramped seating space in the rear lets it down as a family SUV, leaving us wondering who the X6 is really targeted at. The seats are superbly comfortable and well-bolstered, but the swooping roofline cuts into the rear headroom to such an extent that it feels like you are constantly ducking. Cargo space is surprisingly large, beating even the X5’s trunk space at 25.5 cubic feet compared to the X5’s 21.8.

Standard features on the xDrive 35i include 19-inch wheels, leather upholstery, 10-way powered seats with memory, dual-zone climate control, wood interior trim, power everything, sunroof, audio system with MP3 and digital media connection, and the list goes on. BMW’s iDrive system operates the audio and climate controls, but is as complicated as ever, topped only by the navigation system that one must earnestly fight the urge not to throw through the window. It is an optional extra in the technology package for the xDrive 35i so it can always be omitted for sanity’s sake.

The xDrive 50i adds the navigation system as standard, and 20-way powered front seats as well as load-levelling suspension. Options packages abound, and jack up the prices as expected, but include universal garage door opener, power tailgate, glovebox-mounted DVD changer and iPod adapter, heated and ventilated front seats, leather dashboard trim, Active Steering and run-flat tires.

2009 BMW X6 Safety

It is a BMW so a high standard of safety is taken for granted, and includes front and rear obstacle detection system, hill-descent control, active headrests on the front seat, ABS brakes, Stability Control and parking assist. Full airbags are included of course, including dual front, front side and side head protection bags with deployment in rollover situations.

Overall the 2009 BMW X6 is an awesome vehicle, yet fits into such a tiny niche that it is difficult to imagine who will actually buy it for its $60,000 plus price tag. It offers class-leading performance, yet remains too small to be a functional SUV and too big to be practical as a sports sedan. Nevertheless, as a way of showcasing BMW’s impressive new V8 and a host of other new features, the X6 can’t be beaten.

Czy dyktowane jest to nową modą na przyjazne środowisku pojazdy, czy prawdziwą troską wielkich tego świata o naszą planetę? Tym razem do grona samochodów „ekologicznych” dołącza BMW. Podobnie, jak konkurencja reprezentowana przez Lexusa postanowiła zamontować silniczki elektryczne do jednostek o dużej pojemności. Auta bawarskiego producenta, flagowa limuzyna – 7 oraz sportowa terenówka wyposażone w motory o pojemności 4.4 litra otrzymają niewielki silniczek elektryczny o mocy około 20 koni mechanicznych. Technologia zastosowana w samochodach przypomina dobrze znaną z Toyoty Prius. Mẫu xe crossover-coupe, đối thủ của BMW X6, sẽ có mặt trên thị trường Bắc Mỹ vào mùa đông năm nay. Động cơ là loại 3,7 lít V6.

Bản concept khả thi của ZDX trình làng tại triển lãm New York hồi tháng 4. Kể từ đó, hãng xe hạng sang của Honda hạn chế đưa thông tin và chỉ xác nhận các chi tiết về động cơ, thời điểm bán hàng vào ngày hôm qua, 20/7.

ZDX thuộc loại crossover-coupe 5 chỗ, có cửa sổ trời toàn cảnh panorama. Vành đúc hợp kim tiêu chuẩn 7 chấu 19 inch.

Đúng như dự đoán của giới truyền thông, ZDX sử dụng động cơ 3,7 lít V6, công suất 300 mã lực, mô-men xoắn cực đại 366 Nm. Hộp số tự động 6 cấp với chức năng sang số bằng nút bấm trên vô-lăng. Hệ dẫn động tiêu chuẩn là kiểu 4 bánh toàn thời gian có tên SH-AWD của Honda.

ZDX sẽ có 3 phiên bản gồm bản tiêu chuẩn; bản trang bị gói phụ kiện Technology Package và cao cấp nhất là gói Advance Package. Cả ba đều có nội thất bọc da, kết nối không dây bluetooth, ổ cắm USB, đầu kết nối với iPod và ổ đĩa CD.

Nội thất đặc trưng của Acura với những đường cong và mặt phẳng phối hợp hài hòa.

Bản cao cấp hơn trang bị thêm định vị vệ tính, hệ thống camera sau đa góc độ, điều khiển hành trình chủ động.

Giá chưa được tiết lộ. Nhưng các tạp chí ôtô hàng đầu dự đoán sẽ nằm giữa giá của chiếc thể thao đa dụng MDX và sedan RL. Nghĩa là trong khoảng 42.000-49.000 USD tại Mỹ, tùy từng phiên bản.
