On Saturday 21 Nov, Bali declared itself to be an Organic Island, a commitment by the provincial government, NGOs and local businesses.

This declaration is initiated by Ibu Dr Kartini of Bali Organic Association (BOA). Ibu Kartini is known in the organic circle as “Dr Cacin” (Dr Earthworm) and she warns us of the condition of agricultural resources in this island such as land fertility and water availability has been “very alarming”. The excessive use of chemical fertilizers has caused severe drought in the dry season and reduced soil’s natural ability to hold organic matters and micro-organisms which is essentially the life material of the soil.

Once the soil looses all its organic matters, then it also looses its ability to support life and grow plants.

This destructive cycle can be broken if farmers can stop using chemicals and to switch to using organic composts.

Good news is that in Bali there are growing number of organic farmers who uses traditional Balinese method of farming and does not use any chemical fertilizers or pesticides.

Well I just have so many thing’s going on in my mind…hehe!

Let’s see…

Well firstly, I am so glad that John & Edward are now out of the X Factor competition. Dannii was right and it is a singing contest and to base it on that fact, they deserved to be out. But bless them for trying so hard to come this far (although I think it was due to their media exposure that led them to where they got in my opinion…)

What else…well work was a bit quick today but still tiring. My feet were aching when i got home (as usual) and so I just put my feet up thinking about my week ahead. I also signed up to be a part of a bowling team with my colleagues at work as there is some bowling night out after work so I thought I might as well go since I don’t get to see my work mates as much (well apart form work obviously!) but that isn’t until 31st January so still a while.

An interesting topic also came to me whilst in my Magazine Journalism lecture/seminar on Thursday. It concerns this idea of what classifies celebrities and what makes their status. What mostly came up was the issue between Rihanna and Chris Brown. These two were the hot topic of domestic violence and how media forms celebs statuses as we judge who we classify as A-List or D-List. I mean these two artists are still my favourite music artists (well two of many really) and I’m not really going to mix personal issues with their careers. As long as they continue to deliver music which I can still play in my living room/MP3 Player/laptop then I’m fine. I really love their latest songs but it is a war. I mean to release singles (on the same day i think or near each other) and albums that are released not too far apart, it still is war between who’s better (well that’s what I think). Anyway, here’s both of their album covers. I particularly like Chris Brown’s though because it’s different but Rihanna’s is too. I guess it’s a bit of a hard decision…although, Chris’ fashion statement pants are drawing me more

Other artists that have been getting my attention lately have been Korean artists surprisingly. BoA and Taeyang (thanks to someone who is obsessed right now LOL!) mainly but BoA has especially caught my attention. I just love her song ‘Mamoritai ~ White Wishes’ and also ‘Energetic’. There’s just something about her that I like but can’t put my finger on it. But she will never have the cuteness my fishface has LOL! My fishface has kootness! Hehe! But I do love Lady Gaga’s ‘Bad Romance’ song and Beyonce’s latest video for ‘Video Phone’ which has Lady Gaga featured in it. She is really taking a page from Lady Gaga’s book with all the randomness in the video but it works (in a weird way). Lady Gaga also looks a bit frail in that video compared to Beyonce but overall, a good vid!

Hmm, I guess you would have noticed by now that music is a big part of me. I think it is with a lot of people but yeah, music does make me who I am (along with my fishface, dance and the famo who I truly miss too…)

I was going to get it cut by a friend but it had to be cancelled because her friend had her scissors. SM Entertainment seriously needs to make a come back. First, the TVXQ controversy, and now the cancellation of BoA’s album? Maybe this rumored boy-band will mark SM’s comeback into the limelight.

If you are a big fan of a celebrity, how great it is if he or she has a sibling, that looks alike, or has some charm, that catches your attention, so you can say I´m a fan of both siblings. I got a sibling, and a sibling, and a sibling…too many? nope…so I know really how good or bad it is sometimes…but is it good or bad to be famous and have a famous sibling?

Hard to say who is who? Those two brothers look a lot alike…this picture was taken some time ago…they both have new hairstyles now, but nothing else changed…they seem to have really good relationship.

Totally it’s a nice album, from the first track until the last, there are a few that I like the most. Not so many ballads, it’s dominated by J-Pop and catchy beat. I like  LOVE and HONESTY the most of course. If you heard the intro, it’s nice and so romantic.

For the pop catchy song, I just like Kokoro No Tegami and Milky Way the most. I have no reason why I like it.

The special tracks would be BE THE ONE and KOKORO NO TEGAMI, I feel better in Be The One, it’s rock and really knock down.

Anyways, I didn’t post yesterday, so I thought I would make this post a bit longer than last time. Starting off, I wanna talk about how amazing I think the MV of “Wedding Dress” still is. I’ve been watching it ever since it first came out, and I can’t stop watching it. The story, dance, lyrics, and melody sound so nice. Plus, who can stop watching when Taeyang is there? He’s so adorable, it’s not even funny. He’s so pretty. Check out my post called “Wedding Dress” for the video.

Next, I think some people might know about the national singing competition on Canada for kids and teenagers called “The Next Star”. Now, if anyone knows me well, I don’t approve of the Mini Pop Kids. I think those kids can’t sing, and haven’t even gone through puberty yet. Plus, in my opinion, why would you listen to a bunch of 12 year olds sing when you can listen to the original artist? However, I find “The Next Star” different. I actually believe these people can all make it big .. well the top 6 can. All through second season, I’ve been voting for Wren. Now, she’s younger than me, but I really like her voice. While we’re on the topic of music, I’m pretty sure some of you guys have seen the new MV of BoA’s song called “White Wishes”. I thought the MV was pretty .. dull. It was alright, but not the best. Hopefully, they don’t remove this video.  The song is pretty catchy, so here’s the video:

4. Today, I found an old worksheet from 1st grade. One of the questions was “What color do you think dinosaurs were?” I answered “Black and white because color wasn’t invented yet.” I always knew I was a genius. MLIA

5. Today, my mom got an email from my brother’s music teacher informing her that he had failed the last test. There was only one question on the test, which read “list three jobs that require music.” Most kids wrote down jobs like choreographer, musician, etc. My brother’s answers? Representatif dri Mnet mengatakan bahwa :

“Youngwoong JaeJoong, Xiah Junsu and Micky Yoochun will attend the MAMA’s and will be able to greet their fans after being away for a long time.”

My rating: 7/10

Mostly it’s not a new song again. For the truth it would called a compilation album. Though it has a medium number of tracks I think BoA didn’t prepare so many songs for this.  I like MILKY WAY (club remix) the most, it still catch a cute voice of BoA and the beat is beating sweetly. It grown very well. By so far, the album is quite save her. Not so bad but not so amazing. Standard, that’s I can say.
