Our friend, colleague, and company Chairman, Bob Asleson, passed away on July 22, 2010. For nearly 50 years, Bob was among the most creative and prolific executives in the information industry. He was an engineer; a lawyer; publishing CEO; and an unparalleled advisor and guide.

Bob’s exhaustive knowledge of the history; the science; and the art of scholarly publishing was exceeded only by his kindness and graciousness.

Bob’s creativity was foundational to the development and growth of all Paratext’s major database products.  He continued to work with diligence and insight on their ongoing enhancement, even as his health declined.

Simply put, Bob Asleson was, from stem to stern, a consummate professional.
