Bada$$ is particularly excited about this one as it’s our pick for mixtape of the year, and this is without actually listening to it yet! We have watched Young Sinatra blossom over the years, culminating in a phenomenal performance in Brixton, London back in March that we witnessed first hand.

His swift development has led to Def Jam picking up his signature last month, and this mixtape marks the end of an era for Logic but at the same time the start of a whole new adventure.

I recently had the amazing opportunity to witness Logic‘s first show in Canada. This 22 year old rapper from Maryland is making moves, creating a huge fan base of people from all over. He calls his fans the RattPack (real all the time), as well as calling his female fans BobbySoxers, after the legendary Frank Sinatra. He uses this young Frank Sinatra alter ego that represents class and elegance that can be hard to find in today’s hiphop. Instead of always rapping about being in the clubs and popping bottles he chooses a more lyrical approach to his music like his idols Nas, Big L, Wu Tang. Logic hopes to soon be collaborating with the likes of J.Cole, Wale, and Jay-Z. He has released 3 mixtapes all loaded with samples, beats, and hooks influenced by anything from Family Guy and Star Wars to Charlie Chaplin in The Great Dictator. Look out for this rising star in the hip hop universe.
