So I paired an oxblood H&M combined fabric legging with a checkered black & white Zadig et Voltaire blouse, a studded combined colors (black & gray) Alcott jacket, Bebe gray medium heels booties and Ray Ban shades.

I went for soft eyes’ makeup and bold red lips (include link of tutorial) and of course went with my natural hair formula!!

Beauty High: First things first, what are your go to Valentine’s Day beauty looks? 

Candice Swanepoel: You can’t go wrong with a little liner, and I always love a feline look for the eyes. Overdone makeup can be really scary, so just an enhancement of your natural beauty is a great look.

Lily Aldridge: I like red, obviously, or pink. Something sexy and flirty, like a red lip. Valentine’s Day is the one time of year you can really just go for it and play around.

What typical beauty essentials do you go for? 

CS: I’m really rigid when it comes to skincare. As soon as I wake up, I wash my face, and then use my foundation. I love anything with tea tree oil in it, and of course I always need an eyelash curler.

LA: A good moisturizer is so important, but more than that is the lifestyle. If you’re not drinking enough water, or eating enough food, it’s going to show in your skin.

What gifts would you love to receive for Valentine’s Day? 

LA: Lingerie is one of the most romantic gifts, so for a man to buy lingerie and perfume, and of course chocolates and roses, it’s just the right time for a man to spoil me.

What would your ideal date night be?

CS: Anywhere on a beach or an island. I just want to be whisked away to the beach. Take me to Jamaica, I’m just happiest in the sun.

LA: My ideal date would be good food, nice wine, and my husband. Just a night to take time with each other and tell each other “I love you.”

Emily Blunt has been stunning on the red carpet as of late, and last night at the Critics’ Choice Awards the actress stunned us all in her cream Miu Miu gown and Veronica Lake waves. But the real winner of her beauty look was the vibrant red lip that makeup artist Jenn Streicher created as the focal point of her look. Streicher said that, “Once I saw the Miu Miu dress Emily was wearing my inspiration became a modern Veronica Lake.” She created a look that was based on simple eyes with just a pop of color on the lips and lots of lashes.

To get the look, Streicher used YSL Touche Eclat Foundation and YSL Poudre Sure Mesure for that perfectly dewy look. She applied a bit of Giorgio Armany Sheer Blush (in #6) to the apples of Blunt’s cheeks for a flush of color. For the eyes, Streicher used Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Eyeshadow in Gold Blitz and Sweet Fire, blending along the lid and up into the crease. She finished with YSL Volume Effect Faux Cils in Black. And of course, to get that gorgeous lip color Streicher used Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro in #503.

Besides all of the outfit ideas I have been providing you guys with, I wanted to give you guys an idea of beauty looks that you can try! As you celebrate the holidays, you don’t only want to look stylish and trendy but classic and put together.

1. Bold Lip- For a holiday lip color, I would turn to the classic bold red color. This color is perfect for a special occasion. The bold red lip is sophisticated and timeless and will definitely will be perfect for holiday parties. I know that there is thousands of shades of red and choosing a color that will suit you best can be difficult. Warm-toned reds look best on golden skin tones, and blue-toned reds look best on cooler skin. 2. Up-do’s- Up-do’s are perfect for the holiday season especially if you are planning on going to a holiday party. Up-do’s provide effortless chic look to your holiday outfit. The great thing about up-do hairstyles is that they are polished as if you took hours to get the finished result when in actuality it may have taken a short period of time. There are plenty of videos on youtube that explain how to get the perfect holiday up-do’s to make you look classy and chic!

3. Glitter Eyes!- Glitter is kind of over the top and glitter eyes is taking this to a whole other level. Normally people would not wear glitter makeup on a daily basis because it is not professional and too out there. That perception is very understandable but I believe that the holiday season is the time to loosen up the reins a little a try things that you would not normally do. Wearing glittery eyes is fun and perfect for the holiday parties that you’ll be attending. Just be careful because they can get a little messy when dealing with them. Do not also pack tons and tons of glitter on your eyelids.  Be gentle a dab some glitter unto a smokey eye for a small pop of sparkle.

4. Au naturel- I know that we all love those bold colors for parties and hanging out with friends during the holiday season but there is no shame in going natural. Nudes are perfect for your family gathering or a sophisticated office meeting. Simple  lips, classic eye liner, pretty link pink blush. This look will make you look subtle but beautiful as you accentuate your natural beauty.

5. Old Hollywood Glamour- Old Hollywood curls are a classic holiday look. I see it on celebrities especially during this time of year! There is just something about the old Hollywood curls and the holiday season that mesh well together. With these curls your holiday ensemble both a romantic and elegant. These curls are perfect for a fancy dinner or a work party. There are tons of youtube videos that show how to create these curls. It is ridiculous how crazy easy they are to create! J-Lo

2 great outfits here from Jenny from the block. The first is a cream and black dress that really highlights J Los curves, the Louboutins Pigalles are a nice touch as well! The second outfit is a nude blush all in one jumpsuit. Loving her stunnas (sunglasses) in both pictures as well but the cat eye shaped ones in the first picture are definitely my favourite!

Gabrielle Union

Gabrielle is seriously rocking this bright look at New York Fashions week, hot pink skinny jeans teamed with a patterned t-shirt, zebra and yellow clutch and ¾ length leather jacket. This is definitely quiet an edgy look for Gabrielle but she is more than rocking it.

Kim Kardashian and Fergie – dress off

The first half of Kimye (definitely not Kanye he look slightly weird) vs Fergie in this super cool black blazer dress embellished with gold buttons…the question is who rocked this sexy look it best…tie break?

Tamara Eccelston

Bernie’s heiress looking very stylish and sophisticated in this snake print chiffon shirt, aubergine pencil skirt and snake-skin bag. I really like the colours of this outfit as they are very autumnal, the only thing I would tweak are the shoes, I would have gone for a simple court or peep toe for a slightly more elegant look, but hey not everyone is perfect!

Tess Daly

Tess looked amazing in this Stella McCartney dress, I love that this is navy and white as opposed to black and white it make the dress slightly more interesting and different and is that a hint of my beloved contrast shoes that I see Tess?

Paris and Nicki Hilton

Loving both Hilton sisters outfits at New York Fashion week. Paris’s bondage skater dress is really cool, and very eye grabbing (I am going to ignore the Michael Jackson glove). Nicky has gone for slightly more classy look in this all black number but teamed it with glamorous accessories. I love the Christian Louboutin shoes (it seems 90% of people in my look I’m loving wear Louboutin shoes!) they really do add sparkle to her outfit, I also love her knuckleduster clutch bag.

Victoria Beckham

Posh looks very chic in these tailored black slim fit trousers, simple white shirt, black courts and super cool handbag. The only thing I would change about this outfit is that it’s not on me!

Jessica Alba

Another entry from Jessica Alba (has she got a new stylist as this girl can do no wrong at the moment), Jessica looked  fab in this bright yellow tartan skirt team with a black leather jacket, black top,  t-bar shoes and clutch. By teaming it up with black Jessica kept this look edgy and cool rather than prim and proper, love it!

I found the lovely Zimmermann silk pictured below in the Brisbane boutique on Adelaide St. A lovely little store; it’s a bit exciting to think I have a relatively close boutique to my hometown (even if I have to catch a 2 hour flight to visit it).

The playsuit isn’t online (either it’s sold out or simply hasn’t gone up/never went up) so I was determined to be frugal enough on my trip so I could get it. And I did. Probably the Accountant’s daughter side coming out in me.

Awesomely enough, the playsuit matched my new red London Rebel heels perfectly. Unfortunately I did not have a red bag, nor could I find one I liked enough, to complete the look. So instead, as you can probably see, I had to use a black bag which still looked lovely. 

I tried keeping the look sleek by wearing my hair to the side, minimal gold jewellery and just a bold red lip. Some of that is a bit hard to see in the picture, I know.

The night ended up being great fun and I felt super comfy knowing I was sort-of wearing shorts. It made running to catch the train a bit easier, for starters. 

I’ll be wearing this outfit again as soon as I can and will hopefully find plenty more ways of wearing it. XO
