I shot this with my grandfather’s old Canon FT camera at Bongeunsa several months ago. I used a yellow filter which helps add a certain degree of contrast, producing more normal tonality for subjects illuminated by sunlight. I have a few more here.

Bongeunsa Temple remains one of my favorite temples in Seoul. And given its close proximity to my new digs, I find myself there more often than not these days. Below are a few of my favorites from this afternoon. The rest I threw up on Flickr which you view here. The Lotus Lantern Festival kicked off today to gear up for the celebration of Buddha’s birthday next week. The premises are adrift in a sea of paper lanterns and there’s even a really neat exhibition worth checking out.
