How’s this for frontier life? Just east of Missoula on Sunday, we saw 22 bighorn sheep blocking the entrance to a post office. There were other out-of-staters like me stopping to gawk, but then a woman from Montana drove up and nudged her car forward until 21 of them had scattered and one lone ram remained. The rest of us watched, holding camera phones in the air from a distance, as the woman drove around the ram, mailed her letter, and then drove back around him and headed straight off to her next errand. And I thought, is it more quintessential Montana to see 22 bighorn sheep standing around the post office, or to see a woman who treats them as a mundane nuisance?

William Bonner está viciado. Não, não é nenhum tipo de substância ilícita que vem tirando o sono do nosso caro apresentador. É o passarinho azul que está piando na cabeça do jornalista, que já tem quase 240 mil seguidores no Twitter.

Bonner tuíta sobre tudo e em qualquer lugar. Conversa com os fãs, retuíta o que dizem, promove as famosas ‘interativas’ e conversa com um médico imaginário sobre o vício. O jornalista ainda se espanta com a quantidade de tuiteiros que o seguem.

Sua presença na ferramenta social passou a ser até mesmo questionada. Bonner está no Twitter porque gosta ou como estratégia para trazer uma audiência mais jovem para o Jornal Nacional? Ele responde que no Twitter é quase normal. Sua fama é tanta que o jornalista já entrou nas listas de tuiteiros mais influentes.

A partir da brincadeira do helicóptero foram criados diversos novos perfi: @copilotowbonner, @tecoteco_bonner e a Turma Maluca do Tio Bonner. Criaram até mesmo um cachorro virtual, o @totorwbonner.

Bonner fala sobre aspectos da profissão, a situação do Brasil, sua família, mulher, filhos. Posta fotos, vídeos e sempre deseja Boa Noite aos seus seguidores.  Embora interaja e esteja bastante próximo de seus ‘fiéis’, de acordo com o jornalista, ser chamado de Tio Bonner, apelido que ele mesmo escolheu, é uma forma de proteção.

Criando tendências e bordões (‘voltei, mas é rapidinho’), Bonner continua seu vício e atrai a cada dia diversos seguidores.

For today, I pull from Bill Bonner writing in The Daily Reckoning (www.dailyreckoning.com) Again, he has nailed it on the head. If ever you wondered, “How did America decline?” “What caused it?” “How could a trend, so grand, so successful, cease?”

I open the floor…

” ‘The American dream needs repair, ‘ is the forerunner of the genre. In today’s Financial Times, it focuses on the rigidities of the US system. The time was when a young American could start at the bottom and work his way up. Luck and pluck was all it took. But now, according to scholars at the Brookings Institution, people stay put. If you’re born poor in America you’re more likely to stay poor than if you had been poor in Britain, Denmark, Sweden or dozens of other countries.

“What happened? The authors do not say. So we will. Success breeds failure. As a society becomes rich, more and more people find ways to game the system. The elite get tax credits, tariffs and protective regulations. Every layer of bureaucracy makes it harder for new competitors to get ahead. And every new tax on income makes it harder for upstarts to join the ranks of the rich. The poor get their parasitic benefits too. Welfare, unemployment compensation, child tax credits, medicare, food stamps, social security – all of these programs give the poor an incentive to stay poor.”

It makes sense. The Chinese currently save about 30% of their income. That is because they don’t have medicare, social security, food stamps, unemployment benefits, mortgage interest deductions or 401ks. They have their income. I think the day China institutes some sort of government welfare program will be the day that the Robert Schiller say on Yahoo! tech ticker today that only 8% of Chinese (appx. 250,000,000 people,) earn $5,000 per year or more. The rest earn less than that, so China has a way to go. Let’s hope they don’t follow the example of Rome. And America. And any other nation-state I have not researched yet that did this as well.

Hmm. If we didn’t have these weath-transferring, social support programs, you think we would end up saving more money and be in better financial shape?

We are less than a week away from our first Hunger Banquet. We are very excited to see all of our hard work slowly coming together.

PRECONCEITO. E MAIS PRECONCEITO

GEYSE - ALUNA EXPULSA DA UNIBAN

Algumas pessoas fogem deste assunto por puro preconceito. A disputa entre uma universidade (UNIBAN) e uma aluna (Geyse) seria coisa de gente rampeira, do lumpen intelectual que toma conta do Brasil (Bonner, Tas e Huck, como escrevi em outro post).

Vi no You Tube uma entrevista da moça, as cenas do linchamento moral a que ela foi submetida e o famoso vestido. Ontem mesmo vi uma senhora em um restaurante chique de São Paulo com um vestido mais curto. No trabalho, também. Deveria ser diferente em uma universidade?

Alguns tentam tornar a moça uma heroína, um símbolo tardio do feminismo e coisas do gênero. Não estranharei se ela, cedendo às tentações de nosso tempo, posar nua para alguma revista masculina. Não é assim que acabam todas as polêmicas no Brasil?

É curioso notar, igualmente, que pessoas combatem a canalhice dos estudantes da UNIBAN com outros preconceitos, como batizar a universidade de Unibambi ou coisa parecida.

A desqualificação alheia com o uso de preconceitos de classe, de gênero e outros foi incorporada ao discurso público no Brasil. Não é por acaso que Lula é “o analfabeto” ou “o defeituoso de quatro dedos” na visão de certas pessoas, algumas das quais de alta qualificação profissional, currículo vistoso ou títulos de doutor.

É evidente o saudosismo de alguns dos tempos em que os bens públicos — saúde, educação, cultura — eram exclusividade de poucos. As críticas à ampliação da sociedade de consumo contém, muitas vezes, uma pitada de preconceito de classe. Elas refletem o horror com a invasão de círculos antes exclusivos por essa “gentinha” — pobres, pretos e p…..

Há alguns dias, em um clube decadente de São Paulo, ouvi de um sócio que a decadência se devia “à invasão dessa macacada”.

A internet abriu espaço para a ascensão à categoria de formadores de opinião de centenas de milhares de brasileiros. Acontecimentos como o da estudante Geyse atropelam a pauta da mídia. Ganham repercussão via You Tube e sites de relacionamento. Só depois vão parar nos jornais. Mas a ampliação do número de debatedores não significa necessariamente que o debate se torne mais qualificado.

Há uma tendência à fulanização do debate. Exemplo? Há gente que defende a Uniban dizendo “não gostou, então leve a Geyse para casa”. Há gente que ataca a Uniban falando em Unitalibã.

Assim, os princípios em jogo nesse debate acabam se perdendo. A Uniban tem o direito de “legislar” sobre a vestimenta dos alunos? A Uniban tem o direito de punir a vítima? Que tipo de universidade é essa que endossa um linchamento físico e moral? É um caso isolado ou existem outras? Como é que essas universidades se sustentam? Há dinheiro público envolvido na manutenção delas (ou seja, eu e você ajudamos a pagar por elas)? Deveríamos nós, via ProUni, sustentar esse tipo de ensino universitário? Se não, o ProUni deveria adotar condicionalidades além da renda do beneficiado? Quais as condicionalidades? Estou certo que cada um de vocês tem uma dúzia de perguntas pertinentes sobre o caso.

É preciso ir além, portanto, da fofoca. Só assim, acredito eu, o debate sobre um caso isolado pode servir à sociedade como um todo. Não sendo assim, seria melhor deixar Geyse e a Uniban para o trio Bonner, Tas e Huck. Até o próximo escândalo.

Pe colt, in pub, n-ai unde sa arunci un ac si doar numele sponsorilor delimiteaza taberele rosii ale razboiului de peste Marea Irlandei. Carlsberg respectiv AIG. E pasiune incrancenata, e larma. Iar Torres si Ngog fac sa curga berea. Nu daneza ci neagra, irlandeza. Putin conta ca in cele doua garnituri figura un unic “verde”, John O’Shea, numarul 22 la United.

Indemnul imensei fabrici de bere de la St. James’ Gate e “sa ridici paharul pentru Arthur”. Arthur Guinness, pionierul acestui brand mondial. In pub, rosiii cu Liverpool au inaltat un pint iar pe pult am ochit un ziar de sport deschis la pagina cu rezultate, completata cu o consistenta rubrica mentionand evolutia pana si a celui mai nestiut fotbalist irlandez pentru cel mai obscur club englez. Si-atunci de ce pachete turistice doar la cele patru “mari”!?

Explicatia am gasit-o la toaleta. Pentru ca “verzilor” le place sa se bata de la egal la egal doar cu cei mai tari. Acum? In lot, trei si cate doi de la recent promovatele Hull, Stoke si Wolves, alti doi de la Coventry si Reading, plus baieti de la Scunthorpe, Preston ori Boro. Iar perechea lui Hibernian vine din Scotia. Angleterre? E drept, Kevin Kilbane, fie si de la codasa Hull, ar putea ajunge la doar o selectie distanta de recordmanul Staunton, ca de altfel si portarul Given. 101. Believe it or not, this was the best defensive stand DeRozan made all night

I had some time to sleep on it and I’m still upset. Nevertheless, here’s some more analysis on last night’s 131-124 loss to the Spurs:

Chris Bosh: Another fine offensive effort, but it would’ve been nice to see him grind it out on the boards a bit more. Sure, he led the Raps with 10 rebounds, but too many times was outworked by guys that wanted it more — namely Antonio McDyess, DaJuan Blair and sadly, on a couple occasions, Matt Bonner.

Hedo Turkoglu: Had a nice first half, was quiet for awhile, then came on in the last couple minutes when the game was already in the bag. In all, a good line (8-of-12, 20 points), but I’d like to see a bit more fire out of the renowned Crazy-Eyez Killa.

Andrea Bargnani: Continued to show flashes of an improved offensive game, but like Bosh, was manhandled on the boards by Blair and the boys. Didn’t help defensively when Calderon and Jack were beat off the dribble, either.

Jose Calderon: Again, a solid offensive night (13 points on 5-of-7, nine dimes), but another poor defensive effort. Come on, my man — spend less time bitching to the refs and more time asserting yourself the way a point guard making nine mil a year should.

DeMar DeRozan: I hate to say it, but it looks more and more every night that this kid isn’t ready. A quiet 13 minutes yesterday, highlighted mostly by an inability to stop any opposing player off the dribble.

Jarrett Jack: Nice start, but not much in the way of a second half contribution. Worked a nice two-man game with Amir Johnson, but like the rest of the Raps, didn’t D up the perimeter.

Marco Belinelli: Stallone had it cooking, with a killer tan to boot. Belinelli nailed four threes, including a dagger to finish the third, and made two sweet dishes — one to Bargnani after a nice ball fake and another to Johnson on a pick-and-roll.

Amir Johnson: His best game yet. Ten points on 4-of-4, five boards and some much-needed hustle in 23 minutes of action. Nice steal and finish in the fourth quarter to keep it tight.

A picture to sum up Antoine Wright's offensive performance

Antoine Wright: I usually like what he brings to the table, but I wasn’t feeling it this time around. Wright committed four fouls a combined 641 feet from the basket and was a nightmare offensively, driving out of control two or three times and fumbling a pass for a wide-open three with the shot clock winding down in the third.

Rasho Nesterovic: Two minutes, two points. Would’ve liked to see more of the big man, especially on a night where the Spurs were getting to the hoop at will.

Sonny Weems: Saw some important minutes and impressed, save for a horrible foul on Manu Ginobili’s desperation three late in the third. Flashed a jumper and finished on a drive to the hoop.

Reggie Evans: Still a few weeks from playing, but it was great to see him up and at it on the bench. Can’t wait to get this bad boy in the lineup.

The Red Rocket and the Spurs got the best of the Raps

Why am I even surprised anymore? I get the feeling my high school team could’ve scored 120 points against this year’s Raptors, and we didn’t even win a game my last two seasons. A Spurs team without Tim Duncan and Tony Parker outhustled and outplayed Toronto tonight, winning 231-124 131-124.

To his credit, Manu Ginobili couldn’t miss in the second half tonight. Still, that doesn’t excuse Matt Bonner getting to the rack four times on his patented sweeping drive that should never, ever work. San Antonio manhandled the Raps on the boards as well, outrebounding them 51-42, including 16-5 on the offensive glass. Toronto committed 35 fouls as well, several of which were about 200 feet away from the basket. Ugly, ugly stuff.

Plenty to like offensively tonight, but not enough to shed any light on an otherwise horrible game. Chris Bosh had another big one, scoring 32 points and adding 10 boards, and Hedo Turkoglu had a season-high 20. Even with foul trouble, I would’ve liked to see Jay Triano get the big guns back on the floor earlier in the fourth, since Turkoglu is apparently some sort of late-game killer.

Jose Calderon offensive resurgence continued with a nice 13-point, nine assist game, but he had trouble checking George Hill off the dribble in the first half and didn’t get much in the way of help from his bigs. Hill, in place of Parker, scored 22 points on 8-of-15 and had five assists.

Anyway, lots to say about this one, so I’ll check in with more tomorrow once I’ve cooled my jets.

A existência de governos nacionais, independentes em países da América Latina contraria de forma profunda os interesses imperialistas dos EUA. O fracasso da ALCA (Aliança de Livre Comércio das Américas), uma espécie de camisa de força norte-americana sobre países dessa parte do mundo e costurada entre nós pelo então presidente Clinton e o funcionário da Fundação Ford que respondia pelo departamento Brasil, FHC, fez com que a estratégia para a América Latina fosse mudada.

É intolerável para a arrogância e a prepotência dos norte-americanos a presunção de soberania de países como a Venezuela, o Equador, a Bolívia, o Paraguai, Argentina, Brasil, em maior ou menor grau, ou a Nicarágua, Cuba e El Salvador na América Central.

A perspectiva de que outros países, Guatemala e Honduras, tomem o mesmo rumo, transforma-se em desafio para a boçalidade dos EUA em relação ao resto do mundo e aos seus interesses.

As relações de governos latino-americanos com o governo do Irã traz o estado terrorista de Israel ao conflito, aos confrontos, ao jogo político dos donos.

São os povos eleitos, norte-americanos e israelenses, escolhidos por um deus que criaram à imagem e semelhança do terror que praticam em todos os cantos do mundo e hoje adoram em shoppings, bancos, latifúndios e vendem em templos eletrônicos como a rede GLOBO no Brasil e outras tantas semelhantes em várias partes do mundo.

Um dos principais aspectos da globalização neoliberal é exatamente possibilitar a elites e a agentes a soldo de interesses desses países, do que representam, assumir o seu papel sem qualquer constrangimento, sejam eles William Bonner no JORNAL NACIONAL, Alexandre Garcia e Miriam Leitão no BOM DIA BRASIL, ou Roberto Michelleti, como líder de um golpe de estado contra o governo legítimo de seu país e que expressava a vontade de seu povo.

E expressa essa vontade na resistência.

Michelleti já teria caído e Zelaya já teria sido reempossado na presidência de Honduras se de fato o garçom branco que finge ser presidente negro dos EUA governasse alguma coisa além da geladeira ou freezer da Cervejaria Casa Branca.

Em Honduras se trava uma batalha decisiva para os países latino-americanos. À mesma medida que é uma luta de resistência contra elites que aqui se chamam tucanos/democratas, lá se chamam Michelleti e outros bestas/feras, é também a percepção que a independência de países como o nosso, a soberania nacional serão mantidas se formos capazes de compreendermos a realidade para além do Big Brother, do Faustão, de Xuxa e outras armas químicas e biológicas que esvaziam cérebros e almas de seres supostamente humanos, mas transformados em robôs.

Por isso a lição do povo hondurenho resistindo é um exemplo extraordinário de dignidade. De coragem. De percepção do processo e da História.

Mostra a falência das Nações Unidas. O comprometimento das chamadas grandes potências com a farsa democrática.

Um país como o Brasil, nessas circunstâncias e nesse momento não pode aceitar um ultimato de um latifundiário corrupto e venal que assumiu o governo escorado em bestas/militares, a mando e a soldo de elites globalizadas e apátridas que se voltam para Washington e Wall Street.

Nossas elites econômicas, apátridas e corruptas, montadas num institucional falido, são semelhantes às elites de Honduras. E de qualquer país onde ventos de transformações políticas, econômicas e sociais soprem novas realidades.

Uma nação se constrói com a vontade de seu povo e a vontade do povo Hondurenho é o retorno de Manoel Zelaya ao poder. Não importa quanto o latifúndio, os bancos, as grandes empresas, paguem a Alexandre Garcia, Miriam Leitão, Arnaldo Jabor, FHC, José Serra.

Ou do que sejam capazes as bombas fabricadas pelo sionismo terrorista do estado de Israel.

O governo brasileiro não tem que aceitar imposições da Kátia de Abreu hondurenha, Roberto Michelleti (latifundiária e grande devedora do Banco do Brasil em créditos obtidos para a agricultura usados em campanha eleitoral) e tampouco submeter-se a um Conselho de Segurança controlado por Washington.

O Brasil é grande demais para submeter-se a esse tipo de chantagem e pressão.

Em Honduras acontece um experimento em torno de golpes de estado para a derrubada de governos populares. É esse o objetivo das bases militares na Colômbia e por isso que apostam em José Serra (como diz Ciro Gomes, “a alma do Serra é mais feia que o rosto”), para um retorno ao esquema de subserviência do governo FHC.

E nem é uma luta partidária. É de resistência e sobrevivência da dignidade de um povo, dos povos latino-americanos. Não é fazer um churrasco no sábado e no domingo bebendo a cerveja servida pela Cervejaria Casa Branca.

Refugiam-se, golpistas, em um patriotismo canalha. Nós o conhecemos em 1964, quando vivemos aqui o terror de uma ditadura militar.

O governo de Cuba promoveu hoje a integração de 12 mil crianças ao processo democrático popular que preside a ilha desde a vitória da revolução de Fidel Castro. É preciso meditar sobre isso, perceber o significado do fato. É diferente, bem diferente de colocar crianças rebolando à frente de um estereótipo de vida, Xuxa, qualquer que seja ela. A vida é bem mais que isso. E o povo de Honduras está mostrando.

Missouri announced today that Luke Lambert will miss the rest of his junior season with a shoulder injury. He will have surgery on a torn labrum Friday.

Lambert dislocated his shoulder on the opening play of the Texas game. He had 20 tackles this season. He did not play against Nevada or Colorado but started the other six games.

Currently, the starting linebackers are Sean Weatherspoon, Will Ebner and Andrew Gachkar. The backups are Donovan Bonner, Tyler Crane and Zaviar Gooden.

Today’s Congressional hearing shone light on the fraudulent letters sent to three congressmen on behalf of Bonner & Associates just days before the vote on the House energy bill (ACES) this past summer.  In short, we investigated astroturfing. The unfortunate tactics employed by the opponents of clean energy to blatantly co-opt and misrepresent members of already marginalized communities- the NAACP, seniors, and women, amongst others – and undermined genuine grassroots efforts.

In the same way that big tobacco once masqueraded the toxicity of cigarettes, Bonner & Associates led elected officials to believe that the groups most effected by the unjust realities of climate change and dirty energy were against passing provisions in the House to stop climate change and create clean energy jobs.

While politics have never been pretty, there are certain lines you just don’t cross. Until today.

Three action factory fellows showed what today was really about: the coal lobby and their astroturf operation.  The few supporters of Bonner and Coal were sitting just to our right, undoubtedly sweating as Jack Bonner and Steve Miller (President of American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity) were tirelessly grilled by Sen. Ed Markey and Rep. Jay Inslee.

We couldn’t help but smile every time Rep. Inslee interrupted Jack Bonner, requesting for the umpteenth time that he simply answer the question about whether he told his employees to lie. Steve Miller was similarly full of hot air as he stumbled between “ums” and “uhs”, attempting to dig himself, and the coalition he represents, out of a significantly deep pit of lies.

It was suggested to Mr. Miller that in retribution for his company’s deceitful actions (and equally as harmful inaction) that he make an office visit to Senator Inhofe-a climate legislation obstructionist-lobbying for progressive climate legislation in the Senate. Or perhaps run a full page advertisement in a political publication supporting energy independence instead of clean coal technologies that don’t even exist. Hilarity ensued as both Bonner and Miller were left speechless by these suggestions, and the coal lobbyists to our right looked nervously at their feet.

While the legal penance of the Bonner & Associates “hoax” has yet to be determined, the action factory fellows visibly exposed the astroturf efforts of these companies, complete with signs reading “Coal Lobby Poisons Democracy”.

Until we can actually keep CO2 safely sequestered, we should keep the same big coal lobbying efforts locked away – and nonexistent.

O Observatório da Imprensa publicou na última sexta-feira (23)  artigo de Rogério Christofoletti entitulado  “O fosso entre academia e mercado”, sobre a recente palestra de William Bonner na Universidade de Brasília.

Segundo informações da professora  Zélia Adghirni repassadas para o autor do artigo, segue o que o apresentador do Jornal Nacional disse sobre os cursos de jornalismo no brasil.  “Não servem para formar jornalistas” e “deveriam se preocupar mais com o ensino de português e História. Para o resto, a universidade serve apenas para a experiência de vida (…) o jornalismo se aprende no mercado”. Ainda, na palestra Bonner deixou claro que as faculdades não servem nem para ensinar técnicas e ética profissional.

O autor do artigo lembra que diferente de tempos atrás o que é feito em pequenos espaços ganha conhecimento geral com as novas tecnologias. Por isso não dá para bobear, o que fazemos repercute.

Não acho William Bonner seja ingênuo a ponto de ter falado da boca pra fora o que foi citado aqui, é prepotência. Tanto, que durante o evento ele teria comentado “em seis meses, eu pego um estudante e faço dele um editor na Globo”. Se ele esperava um “‘óooo’” vou ficar devendo. O mais difícil não seria enquadrar alguém aos padrões Globo e  sim convencer alguém a vender sua postura profissional, desaprender da graduação e vestir a camisa da Globo. Ah, mas hoje em dia todo mundo é jornalista, é mole então. Muita gente precisa de dinheiro mesmo, então Bonner seu desfio não é surpreendente como você acredita. Aliás, com essa manifestação ficou claro que o apresentador do JN pensa que os estudantes são incapazes de assumir qualquer cargo bom no critério dele.

Então o que cargas d’água este homem foi fazer em uma palestra de estudantes de um curso que ele julga desnecessário?!

Deve ter sobrado tempo livre depois de decidir que gravata usar pelo twitter. Acredite! Ele dá essa “incrível” chance para os mortais, ele posta uma foto com opções de modelos e deixa pessoas escolham a que ele usará mais tarde na apresentação de seu programa. In-crí-vel, não?!

A gente não serve para jornalista da Globo, mas sabe escolher gravata.

Porque, William, fiquei sabendo do seu twitter por uma colega do curso de jornalismo e acho que muitos dos que te ajudam a escolher a gravata são estudantes. Ou seja, você que demonstrou não confiar muito no potencial dos estudantes precisa conhecer melhor suas fontes.

No artigo o autor reclama, principalmente, que este comportamento do William Bonner demonstra a má relação entre os profissionais contratados e estudantes. Enquanto os que já estão no mercado desprezam os estudantes, esses duvidam da formação dos já empregados. Dessa forma nenhum dos lados se beneficiam, não há compartilhamento de experiências. Se bem que os estudantes ainda tem a chance de conhecer a prática através dos estágios. A parte mais indisposta a relação costuma ser os profissionais, que ainda como tutores de um estagiáro não consideram o que este traz direto da faculdade ou de sua criatividade.

Isso não se aplica a todos os casos. Nos estágios que fiz conheci profissionais que acataram ideias minhas e buscavam conhecimento da faculdade para orientar sua atuação profissional.

Estagnar é o problema! Supor que é o melhor sem conhecer a concorrência é fácil, mas só serve para alimentar ego. O erro não é só do Bonner, mas daqueles que acreditam ser os melhores em uma profissão, que como as outras, exige atualização, conhecimentos diversos e disposição para novidades.

Meine Art der Trauma-Bewältigung…

Ich wurde am Freitag (23.10.2009) zufällig Zeuge einer Schießerei in Bonn (Bertha-von-Suttner-Platz). Hiermit möchte ich meine Erlebnisse wiedergeben. Vielleicht kann ich diese Erfahrung dadurch, dass ich sie mit anderen teile, ein wenig besser verarbeiten. Vielleicht interessiert es sogar jemanden…

Ich war gerade mit zwei Freunden auf dem Weg nach Hause, als wir es plötzlich (in ca. 100m Entfernung) 5-7 mal knallen hörten. Wie sahen über der Straßenbahnstation, zwischen den Diskotheken “Schwarzlicht” und “Tiefenrausch”, Rauch aufsteigen. Der Platz war sehr belebt, denn um diese Uhrzeit zieht es viele Menschen in die Diskos. Einer meiner Freunde meinte zunächst noch, das sich Schüsse normalerweise nicht so dumpf anhörten, der andere meinte, dass seien bestimmt Böller gewesen. Doch vor dem Tiefenrausch entwickelte sich ein Tumult und man konnte Schreie vernehmen.

Spätestens ab dem Moment war klar, dass es wirklich Schüsse gewesen sein mussten, die wir da gehört hatten. Wir gingen langsam etwas näher an die Szenerie heran und ich konnte erkennen, wie ein bulliger, glatzköpfiger Mann wild auf jemanden eintrat, der offensichtlich auf dem Boden lag. Die Schreie wurden indes noch lauter.

Langsam wurde uns allen bewusst in was für einer ernsten Situation wir uns befanden. Also habe ich natürlich sofort mein Handy rausgeholt und, wie immer in solchen Fällen, 110 gewählt. Zunächst ging niemand dran (unglaublich!), also habe ich es nochmal versucht und bin durchgekommen.
Ich versuchte die Fassung zu wahren, damit ich dem Beamten am anderen Ende der Leitung, möglichst sachdienlich berichten konnte. Nachdem ich ihm beschrieben hatte was los war (mehrere Schüsse, Schlägerei, viele Beteiligte, möglicherweise Schwerverletzte oder schlimmeres..), hatte er noch ein paar kurze Rückfragen an mich und ich forderte nochmal, dass unbedingt schnell mehrere Krankenwagen, ein Notarzt und genügend Polizisten kommen müssten.

Wir tasteten uns vorsichtig noch ein paar Meter weiter ran, da kam uns ein (wie man den Presseberichten inzwischen entnehmen kann 32 oder 37-jähriger) Mann entgegen.
Er trug eine gelbe Jacke und sah ganz normal aus, außer, dass er offensichtlich nicht mehr ganz nüchtern war. Er meinte zu uns, wir sollten auf keinen Fall da hingehen, die Leute müssten alle verrückt geworden sein. Er war anscheinend zufällig in der Nähe gewesen, als die Schüsse fielen.

Seine gelbe Jacke hatte am rechten Ärmel, auf Höhe des Oberarms einen kleinen Riss. Ich fragte ihn, ob er was abbekommen habe. Er meinte verneinte. Ich deutete auf den Riss am Ärmel und wollte wissen, ob der schon länger dort sei. Erschrocken stellten wir fest, dass er wohl von einer Kugel gestriffen worden sein musste und waren alle erleichtert, dass er nicht mehr abbekommen hatte.
Doch damit lagen wir falsch – wie in einem schlechten Film! Genauso fühlte ich mich auch…
Ein paar Sekunden später tropfte eine Menge Blut seine Hand entlang. Wir zogen ihm in Windeseile die Jacke aus und der Angeschossene geriet langsam aber sicher in Panik, was den Blutfluss wohl noch verstärkte, wie es schien. Ich wählte nochmal die Notrufnummer, aber diesmal 112, um die Schussverletzung direkt beim Rettungsdienst melden zu können, damit dem Mann so schnell wie möglich geholfen wird.

Zwei junge Damen und einige weitere Passanten kamen hinzu. Wir setzten den Mann auf den Boden, so dass er sich mit dem Rücken an eine Säule lehnen konnte. Jemand riss einer der Frauen ihren Schal vom Hals und band damit den verletzten Arm ab. Wir zogen den Knoten so fest wie möglich, um den Blutfluss zu drosseln, denn in der Zwischenzeit hatte sich neben dem Mann schon eine Blutlache auf dem Boden gebildet. Der Verletzte wurde immer hysterischer und verlangte einen Notarzt. Ich konnte ihn ein wenig beruhigen und sagte ihm dass bald Hilfe kommt.

Endlose Sekunden vergingen… Doch man muss sagen, dass es ziemlich schnell ging bis die Polizei kam. Bereits ungefähr 3 Minuten nach meinem Notruf war die Polizei schon zur Stelle.
Die ersten Wagen fuhren uns vorbei, direkt zum Hauptschauplatz. Ich stand halb auf der Straße und gestikulierte zu den folgenden Wagen, damit einer stehen bleibt, um dem Mann Erste-Hilfe zu leisten. Irgendwann hielt endlich einer. Ich zeigte den Beamten den etwas abseits sitzenden Mann und beschrieb die Situation.
Man merkte, dass auch die Polizisten etwas überfordert waren und ihre Rückfragen zeigten, dass auch sie erstmal begreifen mussten, was geschehen war. Schießerei? Bonn? Passt irgendwie nicht… Da ist man auch als Polizist erstmal perplex, ich finde hier kann man dem Freund & helfer keinen Vorwurf machen, sind auch nur Menschen.

Doch dann kam der Brüller:
Einer der beiden Polizisten, ein etwas untersetzter Mann mit freundlichem Gesicht, ging zurück zum Auto, um den Verbandskasten zu holen. Ich sah ihn wild im Kofferraum kramen und hörte ihn bald darauf laut fluchen. Er kam wieder zurück zu uns und meinte als Antwort auf meine fragenden Blicke:
“So eine Scheiße! Das kann doch gar nicht wahr sein!!! Tagtäglich nehmen wir den Leuten ihr hart verdientes Geld ab, damit sie das Zeug immer im Auto dabei haben und jetzt hat noch nicht mal die Polizei Verbandszeug mit!”.
Ich entgegnete, dass wir ja immerhin noch Glück hätten, dass es “nur” eine mittelschwere Verletzung ist und er sagte zu mir, so leise dass nur ich es hören konnte:
“Nee du, das geht wirklich mal gar nicht. Ist echt ein Skandal!”

Ein paar Minuten später kamen die ersten Krankenwagen, bald darauf auch der Notarzt und jede Minute kam mehr Polizei. Da die beiden Beamten noch mit dem abseits sitzenden, angeschossenen Mann beschäftigt waren, ging ich zur Fahrbahn, um einen der Rettungswagen zu uns zu losten. Mir war bewusst, dass beim Tiefenrausch wohl noch weitere und vielleicht sogar noch schwerer Verletzte sein müssten, weshalb ich den ersten paar Wagen gestikulierend mitteilte, dass sie weiter nach vorne, näher an den Ort des Schusswechsels fahren sollten und erst den dritten oder vierten Krankenwagen anhielt.

Die Sanitäter versorgten den Angeschossenen, indem sie die Blutzufuhr des verletzten Arms mit Hilfe eines prall aufgepumpten Blutdruckmessgeräts weitgehend stoppten, genau wie wir das zuvor mit dem Schal versucht hatten. Sie versichertem dem Mann, dass er nur leicht verletzt sei, erklärten ihm, dass sie noch weitere Verletzte zu versorgen hätten und dass sich gleich weitere Kollegen um ihn kümmern würden, die schon auf dem Weg zu ihm seien. Dann eilten sie zum Ort des eigentlichen Geschehens und die beiden Polizisten kümmerten sich weiter um den Mann, der inzwischen ein wenig erleichtert schien. Er bedankte sich bei uns für die schnelle Hilfe und dafür, dass wir den Rettungsdienst gerufen hatten.

Meine beiden Freunde und ich standen ratlos da und wir waren alle ziemlich geschockt, über das, was wir soeben erlebt hatten und noch erlebten. Da wir uns inzwischen ziemlich unnütz fühlten, der Mann versorgt war und sich um ihn eine Traube aus ungefähr einem Dutzend Anteil nehmender Menschen gebildet hatte, gingen wir auf die etwas höher gelegene Ebene der Bahnstation, von der man einen besseren Überblick hat. Wir setzten uns auf eine Bank und mussten uns nochmal bewusst machen, was hier gerade geschehen war. Irgendwann kam der nette, untersetze Polizist nochmal und dankte uns für unseren Einsatz. Ich fand das selbstverständlich und nicht der Rede wert.

Der Notarzt, etwa vier oder fünf Krankenwagen und mindestens neun Polizeiautos erleuchteten den Bertha-von-Suttner-Platz mit ihrem Blaulicht-Gewitter und verstopften die doppelspurige Fahrbahn, auf einer Länge von etwa 50 Metern. Das war schon sehr skurril anzusehen:
Der Platz, den man täglich überschreitet, vollkommen im Ausnahmezustand! Und das in einer Stadt, die man sonst eigentlich eher als friedlich und verschlafen wahrnimmt, von der man sich vorher nicht vorstellen konnte, dass sie solche Gewaltorgien hervorbringen kann.
Doch desillusioniert wurde ich schon vor drei Monaten, als ich mir, genau vor der gleichen Diskothek, eine Messerstecherei mit ansehen durfte.

Schon damals hatte ich überlegt, ob ich dieses eher traumatisierende Erlebnis nicht einfach mal niederschreiben sollte, um es dadurch ein wenig zu verarbeiten und meine Erfahrungen mit dem geneigten Leser teilen zu können, habe es dann aber doch gelassen.
Es ist nicht so, dass ich jetzt Nachts schweißgebadet mit Alpträumen aufwachen würde, oder sonstige Anomalien an mir feststellen würde, aber schreiben ist einfach etwas befreiendes, was ich jedem nur empfehlen kann.
Diesmal konnte ich mich nicht länger zurückhalten. Ich hoffe meine Beschreibung des Ablaufs war verständlich und nicht zu detailliert.

Meine Freunde und ich können nur vom Glück reden, dass wir nicht eine Minute früher da waren, denn sonst hätten wir da mitten drin stecken können. Wir waren gerade auf dem Weg nach hause, kurz davor uns voneinander zu verabschieden. Möglicherweise hätte es uns noch auf einen Snack zum “Orient-Express” verschlagen und wir hätten das Ganze hautnah miterleben dürfen.
Mir hat das so schon gereicht. Das war meine erste Schießerei und ich hoffe es war die letzte derartige Erfahrung.
Eigentlich hatte ich schon nach der Messerstecherei genug gesehen… Ich bin bedient.

Oh Gott, ich bin so froh, dass ich nicht gläubig bin!
Ansonsten müsste ich jetzt für immer demütig sein…

Uns kam ein Unbeteiligter entgegen, der meinte wir sollten da nicht hin gehen. Erst später bemerkte er, dass er am Arm angeschossen war…

Dachte bis vor kurzem eigentlich noch, Bonn wäre kein allzu gefährliches Pflaster. Da habe ich mich wohl getäuscht. :|

Echt Glück gehabt. Wir haben 6-7 Schüsse gehört und konnten uns erst nicht vorstellen, dass es echte gewesen sein konnten.

Vor 2Monaten durfte ich mir im Vorbeigehen, vor genau dem gleichen Club ne Messerstecherei ansehen. Keine Ahnung was da los ist.

“Are you kidding, dear reader? After being the single largest buyer on the planet? Imagine what will happen to the bond market when investors realize that the Fed is selling! It’s not going to happen. Instead, that $1 trillion increase in the monetary base is more or less permanent…and it’s eventually going to turn up as inflation.”

I hadn’t thought about that- how people (the bond investors) would/could react when the Federal Reserve tries to sell bonds to remove liquidity. Somehow, I wonder if that would be about the time that yields and interest rates would start to tick upwards. Hmm…

Also in the dailies, Bill Jenkins’ contribution in the Oct. 22nd Whiskey and Gunpowder:

“The folks at the European Central Bank have not been too worried about the strengthening euro up to this point. That could always change. But for now, they seem to be enjoying this appreciation. For them it acts as a nominal rate increase, which will keep inflation in check should it appear. But don’t get me wrong. Central bankers are men just like us (only often with a lot less common sense). They can get blinders on and only see things a certain way. After all, don’t all humans usually see things the way we want to see them? And this can handicap them when it comes to reading the data — the same way it can handicap us. Should they allow the euro to rise too much and too early, it will crush their budding recovery… much to their surprise and chagrin.

“But nothing, not even the dollar, falls all at once. Hence all this jawboning about the euro (and yen, while were at it) being too expensive. None of these foreign economies can afford to let the dollar fall too much, too quickly. Thus, if they continue to badmouth the strength of their own currencies, it buoys the dollar and gives them opportunities to get out at a better price. But they can’t dump too much on the market all at once. If investors get wind of that, the big boys will have a harder time getting their target price.

“So it seems to me that we should be looking for another return to dollar strength. That would play right into the hands of foreign economies that are looking to quietly unload the dollar. It is also the reason I don’t think we should look for the dollar to go into freefall — it is simply too costly for our trading partners. I believe they will do all they can to allow themselves an exit at a decent price.

No matter what may happen to the dollar’s reserve status in the decades to come, it will retain this status for a long, long time. Thus in this great tug of war between the currencies, there will always come periods when the dollar will be viewed as too cheap, and those who need it for continued trading purposes will not be able to resist the drive to buy it.”

Something to consider. Not the final word, but each view represents a possible outcome (and one’s I had not personally considered.) The future is always in motion until it happens, so we’ll see how things shape up.
