Installing windows 7

Step 1: Just boot from the DVD drive to get to this screen which says “Windows is loading Files”  .

But first , you must have ensured that

1. your computer is capable of running window 7
2. you have a hard-disk partition to install windows
3. Windows DVD is not corrupted .
4. A lot of those pirated DVD-images available on the torrent sites are riddled with malware and  spyware
5. Better buy an original DVD
6. If you already have windows vista or XP running, then insert the DVD , click upgrade and the reboot- This will ensure that all of your installed programs and settings remain intact even after you install 7 .This will make the transition even more enjoyable !

Step 2: Adjusting minor settings.

Install options

Select the language, keyboard and the currency formats.  OR simply ignore them because its set by default for a common setting which will work fine for most of us.

Then click on “Next” then you shall be lead to a screen , where you should click on the install button.

Then you shall be taken to the License page-All you need to do is to accept the conditions by checking on the check box and  proceed .

Step 3:“Choosing Advanced install” or “Upgrade Install “

"Upgrade" or "Install"

If you have followed “point 6″ of step 1 , please click on upgrade else click on install.

Anyways if you are doing a fresh install , the upgrade option is unavailable and if you have followed point 6,but still want to have a fresh install, you are free to go ahead.

Step 4: The most vital step

The "hard" disk step

Just a small mistake here might be fatal if you do not know what you are doing .

If you mistakenly format or delete a partition here, you might* lose your data. So its better if you install over the earlier “c:\” drive of your computer after making a backup of the important data.

Click on the partition you want to install .Then click next.

I shall create a separate page for advanced options.

*as a matter of fact, no data that you delete is ever deleted even after partitioning or formatting or “Shift-Deleting or “deleting from the recycle bin”. If you have got into such trouble ,consider googling for data recovery softwares. (but sure enough getting them back is tougher than loosing them , because it’s going to take hours for this process with not 100% success guarantee).

Step 5: Let the installation begin………

The Installation begins

Finally the Installation begins ,with the Copying ,Expanding,Installing and updating.

Your computer shall restart after this process.

The screen will ask for a username and password.

Step 6:  An Honest/Dishonest step

Enter the windowds 7 product key

Now , you shall be asked to enter the product key for Windowds. If you have the original key then enter it .Else do not try to cheat Microsoft at this point of time . Because even if install entering a key, you shall still require to complete the authentication to use it . Its useless to enter a wrong key as they provide with a 30 day free trail period . Just click on next, if you do not have a key.

Step 7: Setting up the clock and the network

Just set up the clock and homesharing options.

Windows shall boot after these settings to an all new OS.

จดไว้คร่าวๆเกี่ยวกับการบูตพวกอุปกรณ์ที่ไม่ได้รองรับโดยตรงจาก VMWare
ในที่นี้คือ USB ที่ผมเอา ChromeOS ลงไว้

ประเด็นปัญหาของผมคือ ได้รับ ChromeOS ที่ใช้ได้บน USB Flashdrive จาก Makeuseof.com แล้วพอนำไปบูตจริงดันไม่สามารถเปิดอุปกณฺเครือข่าย (ในที่นี้คือ WLan – Intel 2200BG) เลย Login ไม่ได้

แต่ทีนี้คือ ตัว ChromeOS เนี่ย จะามารถเข้าระบบด้วย Account ที่เคย Login ในเครื่องนั้นๆได้ ผมก็เลยหาวิธีให้มัน Login สักครั้ง แล้วจะลองเอาหลับไปบูตจริงๆอีกที

ผมเลยลองไป Google ดูวิธี ก็เจอเว็บนี้เข้า vladan.fr แลดูน่าสนใจ
(และทดลองแล้วใช้ได้!)

Key ของวิธีนี้ก็คือ การไปใช้เครื่องมือตัวนึงของ PloP ที่มีชื่อว่า Bootmanager

เออ..ที่น่าสนใจก็ตรงที่ Highlight ไว้นั่นแหละ

ตัวนี้ดูจะทำอะไรได้หลายๆอย่าง แต่อย่างที่เราสนใจตอนนี้ก็คือที่ทำตัวหนาและเอียงไว้

VMWare 7 ไม่รองรับการบูตจาก USB Flashdrive โดยตรงหรือยังไงไม่ทราบ (ลอง Add Harddisk แบบ Link กับ Physical แล้วก็ยังใช้งานไม่ได้) จึงบูตไม่ได้

อารมณ์นี้คล้ายๆกับคอมพิวเตอร์เก่าๆ ที่บูต Flashdrive ไม่ได้ ลองเอาวิธีนี้ไปใช้ดูก็ไม่เลว!

เริ่มกันเลยดีกว่า

ให้เข้าไปโหลดไฟล์ ลิงค์จะอยุ่ในหัวข้อ Introduction (เผื่อหาไม่เจอ)
ไฟล์ขนาดไม่ใหญ่มาก เมื่อเปิดมาแล้วจะเจอแบบนี้

ส่วนที่เราจะใช้คือไฟล์ ISO เพื่อนำไปบูตกับ Virtual Optical Drive ใน VMWare
เลือกไฟล์ที่ชื่อ plpbt.iso (เพราะผมใช้อันนี้แล้วบูตได้อ่ะ) Extract ไว้ที่ไหนสักที่ ผมเลือกที่ Desktop เพราะมักง่ายดี

คือ..มันไม่จำเป็นต้องใช้ VM ตัวใหม่ ผมก็เลยเอา VM ตัวเก่าแก้ไขเอาไฟล์ ISO ใส่เข้าไป แล้วบูตเข้า USB Flashdrive เลย ง่ายดี
…ดังนี้

1. Browse ไปยัง ISO แล้วกด OK ออกมา
2. เสร็จแล้วก็กด Start VM
3. ให้กด ESC อย่างไว (Enter Boot Menu) แล้วจะได้หน้าตาแบบนี้มา
4. หนุ่มสาวเอย พวกเธอจงเลือก CD-Rom Drive
5. ช้าก่อน ให้ไป Connect อุปกรณ์ก่อน ดังรูป
   
6. แล้วเคาะ Enter เบาๆ
7. ถ้าบูตสำเร็จ จะได้หน้าตาแบบนี้
   
8. พวกเธอว์จงหรรษาตามต้องการ

ชักจะนึกมุกไปเล่นอะไรกับคอมพ์เครื่องเก่าๆได้บ้างแล้วแฮะ

This the tutorial for the installation perhaps the most user-friendly Linux OS in history, Ubuntu!

To get Ubuntu click here. Download the .iso file, and burn it to a CD/DVD.

One more thing, the installation instructions here are for Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic Koala release), currently the latest version.

Step 1: BIOS Changes – Make sure your first boot device is set to your CD/DVD ROM. Save your settings and exit BIOS.

Step 2: When you boot, this is the first screen you will get:

Step 3: Select your language and then select the “Install Ubuntu” option and press enter.

The images below are in sequence of the screens you will see. You will enter your details as per your preference and click on “Forward” after that.

Select your language and click “Forward” (image below).

Ubuntu will now configure the installation. (Nothing for you do here)

You will have to select your region here (basically where you’re from) and click “Forward”. Image given below:

Select your keyboard layout (best keep it to the default one as shown here if you’re not sure).

If you want to install Ubuntu on your hard drive as the only OS, then click on the first option “Erase and use the entire disk” as shown here. (If you want to set partitions, click on the “Specify Partitions Manually (advanced)”and set your partition size and specification) Its better to select the first option as shown here if you’re not sure.

Enter your name and username, password etc. If you dont want Ubuntu to ask you for passwords everytime you boot, select the “Log in automatically”

Click on Install. And wait… (as some weirdos say “Patience is a virtue” )

The installation progress bar, will stay on your screen for 10-15 mins. Patience is a virtue, remember?

After the installation is over/the bar reaches 100%, you will get this image on your screen. Click on “Restart Now”:

As directed simply remove the CD from the tray and press Enter.

Ubuntu will now restart and you will see the following screens:

And the really cool “Loading” bar (technically called the “Usplash screen”)

And then finally you get the Ubuntu desktop:

Thats it! Congrats on your new Ubuntu!

Hoy he vuelto a instalar Windows en una pequeña partición. Como siempre que tienes instalado Linux antes, Windows machaca el grub. Así que hice el proceso de recuperación del grub.

Pero a mi sorpresa el grub al arrancar Windows me daba un error que nunca antes me había dado: Invalid Signature.

Así que decidido, fui a editar /boot/grub/menu.lst y tachán! No está. No recordaba que Ubuntu 9.10 utiliza Grub2 y ese archivo ya no existe, ahora en su lugar nos encontramos con /boot/grub/grub.cfg. Lo que hace “especial” a este archivo esque es exclusivamente de lectura, y bajo ningún concepto se puede editar, ni siquiera desde un Live CD.

Yo tengo los SS.OO en el segundo disco duro (/dev/sdb), así que comprobé el siguiente archivo: /boot/grub/device.map

Y aquí estaba el error en mi caso. El archivo apuntaba a /dev/sda, así que lo edité por /dev/sdb y guardé los cambios y después actualicé el grub:

sudo os-prober

sudo update-grub

sudo reboot

Con eso conseguí arreglarlo todo y ahora funciona perfectamente, de momento .

Ada dua cara di Open Solaris untuk mengkonfigurasi grub khususnya untuk boot, jika di linux kita mengenal konfigurasi di /boot/grub/menu.lst jika yang memakai GRUB tentunya. Terus bagaimana yang memakai lilo waduh saya lum pernah make selain GRUB nih, jadi jangan nanya saya ya hehehe. Trus kalau di Open Solaris gimana ya? yang pertama ada di lokasi ini /rpool/boot/grub/menu.lst memang agak beda letak konfigurasi menu.lst nya. Nah, kalau cara yang kedua lebih gampang. Di Open Solaris sudah disediakan command bootadm yang fungsinya memudahkan kita untuk konfigurasi booting.

Berikut fungsi yang ada di bootadm :

Untuk melihat menu booting kita pake command :

Dari informasi di atas kita tahu bahwa default sistem operasi kita adalah Open Solaris, karena nilai default 0 yang artinya sama dengan node list OS yang ada di bawah, kebetulan hanya ada Open Solaris saja, jika ada banyak tinggal sesuaikan saja dengan node OS yang diinginkan untuk mengubah default booting. Nah caranya :

root@opensolaris:~# bootadm set-menu default=(node)

Sekarang merubah waktu booting nya, kita lihat waktu booting di list-menu adalah 30 detik, kalau ingin merubah misalnya menjadi 10 detik ya tinggal seperti ini :

root@opensolaris:~# bootadm set-menu timeout=10
root@opensolaris:~# bootadm list-menu

Mungkin anda pernah mengalami booting windows yang sangat lambat
Berikut langkah-langkahnya agar booting windows anda menjadi lebih cepat :

Langkah 1 :
Buka aplikasi notepad
Ketikkan “del c:\windows\prefetch\ntosboot-*.*/q” (Tanpa tanda kutip )
dan save as dengan nama ntosboot.bat dalam drive c:\

Langkah 2 :
Lalu klik menu Start–>Run–> dan ketikkan gpedit.msc

Langkah 3 :
Klik Computer Configuration–>Windows Settings–>Script–>lalu klik 2 kali pada Shutdown

Langkah 4 :
Dalam Windows Shutdown Properties klik add lalu browse. lalu cari letak file ntosboot.bat yang anda buat tadi dan klik open

Langkah 5 :
Lalu klik OK ,Apply dan OK sekali lagi untuk menyelesaikannya

Langkah 6 :
Lalu klik menu Start–>Run–> dan devmgmt.msc

Langkah 7 :
Klik IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers–>Primary IDE Channel ( Klik 2 kali untuk membuka properties )

Langkah 8 :
Pilih Advanced Settings
Pada Device 0 atau Device 1
Ganti Device Type menjadi None ( Ganti saja pilihan Device Type yang tidak terkunci )

Langkah 9 :
Klik IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers–>Secondary IDE Channel ( Klik 2 kali untuk membuka properties )
Ulangi seperti Langkah 8

Langkah 10 :
Restart Komputer anda dan anda bisa lihat perubahannya.

Buat yang sering instal multiple OS terutama linux dan window pasti pernah mengalami kejadian dimana kita tidak bisa boot lagi ke windows karena GRUB linux rusak. Atau kamu ingin membuang Grub di MBR dan hanya ingin boot dari windows saja.

Berikut caranya :
1. Ganti first boot PC ke DVD/CD rom di BIOS
2. Masukkan DVD installer windows vista
3. Ketika pertama kali LOADING tekan sembarang key untuk booting dari DVD
4. Pilih bahasa, waktu dll. Dan klik Repair Your Computer

5. Pilih OS yang mo di repain. klik next. Ketika System Recovery Options muncul klik bagian Command Prompt.

6. Langkah terakhir ketikkan di Comand Prompt bootrec /fixmbr atau bootrec.exe /fixboot

Udah deh. MBR sekarang udah balik ke windows vista. dan GRUB sudah hilang. Semoga bermanfaat.

Tη περασμένη Δευτέρα, η Psystar, η μικρή εταιρία που εδώ και 15 μήνες μάχετε την Apple στο ομοσπονδιακό δικαστήριο της Καλιφόρνια, ανακοίνωσε πως θα διαδώσει το λεγόμενο Darwin Universal Boot Loader (DUBL)* σε άλλες εταιρίες.

*Το DUBL είναι ένα πρόγραμμα που φορτώνει τα Mac OS X 10.6, το γνωστό Snow Leopard, σε υπολογιστές που έχουν επεξερταστή της Intel

Στη συνέχεια θα υλοποιήσει ένα πρόγραμα πιστοποίησης υλικού (hardware) που χάρη στην τεχνολογία virtualization μπορεί να τρέξει το Snow Leopard. Di dalam harddisk, ada sebuah file yang disebut MBR (Master Boot Record). File ini berada di byte pertama dan sektor pertama harddisk; pokoknya benar-benar pertama. Maklum, MBR inilah yang menjadi penanda keberadaan harddisk. Jika dianalogikan, MBR ini seperti peta yang menuntun BIOS menemukan harddisk.

Namun berbagai hal bisa menyebabkan MBR tersebut rusak, seperti terkena virus atau terformat tidak sengaja. Jika itu terjadi, sistem operasi pun kehilangan penunjuk jalan yang ditandai dengan munculnya pesan Operating System not found atau missing operating system di layar.

Solusi dari masalah ini adalah dengan mengembalikan file MBR tersebut. Cara paling umum dilakukan adalah melakukan proses recovery dari CD Windows. Caranya, booting ke CD Windows, lalu pilih Repair (dengan menekan tombol R) dan masuk ke Recovery Console. Setelah itu, ketikkan perintah fixmbr untuk mengembalikan file MBR tersebut.

Untuk Windows Vista, konsepnya sama meski prosedurnya sedikit berbeda. Pertama, booting ke DVD Windows Vista, lalu pilih Repair Your Computer. Ketika System Recovery Options muncul, pilih Command Prompt. Setelah muncul jendela Command Prompt, ketik bootrec.exe dan tekan Enter.

Jika CD Windows sudah hilang entah kemana, Anda bisa menggunakan aplikasi dari Rescue Kit 9.0 Express buatan Paragon. Ini adalah aplikasi gratisan yang memiliki fungsi beragam, termasuk mengembalikan MBR. Aplikasi ini bersifat bootable, artinya bisa di-burn ke CD dan menjadi sumber proses booting. Ketika sistem menunjukkan gejala kehilangan MBR, yang harus Anda lakukan adalah booting ke CD berisi Rescue Kit ini. Setelah itu, pilih menu Boot Corrector, ikuti prosedur yang telah ditentukan, dan kasus kehilangan MBR seharusnya telah teratasi.

Apa itu booting?

Booting dapat diartikan sebagai proses untuk menghidupkan komputer sampai sistem operasi mengambil alih proses, Boso gampange jare arek suroboyo, mulai kita menek(menekan) tombol power, lalu komputer hidup sampai keluar logo windows dan jreng..kita masuk ke halaman depan kompie,nah teman2 itulah booting..he.hee gak penting ya..itu kalo kompie kita gak ada masalah, seperti yang aku bilang tadi klo gak ada masalah kapan kita belajar teman – teman..

Oke kembali ke Tukul eh Judul..

bagaimana kalo tiba – tiba satu hari pas kita kebelet liat Bokep 3gp di kompie tapi setelah di tekan tombol power ternyata gak bisa masuk ke halaman depan alias desktop? tenang gasa nangis g usah buru -buru panggil teknisi,kita mungkin bisa memperbaikinya sendiri..langkahnya adalah :

Ada beberapa cara :
1. Bila menggunakan VGA (non onboard) pastikan agak dilonggarkan !
2. Bisa bisa Motherboard kamu longgar tuh…, jadi kasih baut, jadi gak goyang2 posisinya…
3. Hardisk kamu kabel data IDE/SATA-nya kurang pas !
4. Kalau memory gak cocok bisa aja terjadi kondisi ini.., tapi itu kjadian kalo kamu baru ngerakit komputer. Jadi gak mungkin memory-nya longgar..! Karena kalau memorynya longgar pasti akan sering terjadi bunyi beep minimal 5 kali berturut-turut.
5. Kalau misalnya masih terjadi…, pasti ada masalah dengan Power Supply kamu.., coba check dulu deh …!
6. Kalau misalnya masih kjadian… repair windows kamu
7. kalau misalnya masih kejadian instal ulang aja
8. kalau masih kejadian service
9. kalau masih kejadian buang hehehehe bercanda.

“Gudang (F:)TIIPs ‘n TRIK”) dan klik “open”.

dan ketikkan “devmgmt.msc”.

untuk membuka “propertis”

lalu pada device 0 atau device 1 dimana
“device type”  tidak berada pada keadaan nonaktif,
pilihlah “none” dan klik”ok”

klik kanan pada “Secondary IDE channel”,
pilih “propertis” dan ulangi step 9.

restart computer dan rasakan perbedaan saat
windows XP booting dengan lebih cepat dari sebelumnya.

Kemarin ini komputer bermasalah ga bisa diboot, jadi terpaksa mengulik-ulik file boot.ini supaya bisa diboot lagi. Ternyata tidak terlalu sulit. File boot.ini biasanya terdapat pada drive C: dengan status hidden dan system file. Untuk melihatnya kita harus membuka Folder Options pada Windows Explorer, pilih view dan pastikan kedua item yang dilingkari seperti gambar di bawah ini.

Jika dibuka file boot.ini akan berisi baris-baris seperti ini:

Variabel timeout bisa diisi dengan waktu windows menunggu pilihan boot dalam detik. Variabel default bisa diisi dengan partisi yang nanti akan dipilih sebagai default boot.

Barisan di bawah tulisan [operating systems] berisi partisi tempat Windows diinstall (saya belum mencoba dengan Linux, jadi belum tahu bagaimana penulisan untuk OS Linux). Tiap baris berisi rdisk (nomor disk drive dimulai dari 0) dan partition (nomor partisi dimulai dari 1).

Misalnya pada contoh di atas, saya memiliki 3 buah harddisk yang akan dinomori 0, 1, dan 2 (sesuai dengan urutan prioritas boot pada BIOS). Disk pertama diinstall Windows XP di partisi ketiga, disk kedua pada partisi pertama, dan disk ketiga pada partisi pertama juga.

Untuk parameter-parameter lainnya saya belum berani mengeksplor lebih jauh, mungkin teman-teman yang lebih mengerti bisa menambahkan.

Hari ini ada sedikit masalah dengan salah satu komputer kantor yang memang dikhususkan sebagai fasilitas pendukung bagi rekanan yang mau melakukan lelang elektronik. Virus yang cukup sangat merepotkan bernama “conficker” entah bagaimana bisa nyantol disana.

Pada awalnya saya berniat untuk membuat system backup agar sewaktu-waktu windows mengalami masalah bisa langsung di restore tanpa perlu repot-repot melakukan instalasi ulang.  Masalah muncul saat mau meng-eject flashdisk, eh.. si windows nggak mau berpisah.  Berawal dari rasa curiga akhirnya kuputuskan untuk melakukan penyelidikan. Selidik demi selidik, eh si firefox gak mau buka symantec.com, norman.com juga, avg.com juga enggak. Ciri-ciri khas conficker, kido ya kayak gini ini.

Pengalaman nyoba-nyoba ngilangin conficker ternyata nggak segampang melenyapkan virus lokal. And so I was stucked… sementara job desc mewajibkan semua komputer ini harus bebas virus.

Mau nggak mau dengan sangat terpaksa harus melangkah ke lemari buat ngambil CD Windows lagi ( jujur aja, yang ini versi bajakan ). Dilema kedua timbul. Saya ingat kalau komputer itu dual OS, Windows berduet dengan Ubuntu 8.04. Kalau mo install ulang Windows otomatis boot grubnya Linux juga bakal ketimpa dong. Aduh…, install ubuntu lagi ??? atau cuma memperbaiki boot grubnya ???

Bodo ah, restart, masuk bios ubah boot sequence ke CD. Install ulang aja, toh ubuntu juga jarang dipake. Lha make windows aja rekanan masih banyak yang bingung. Nah… Masalah utama nongol nih…

CD Windows gak mau booting, padahal urutannya di BIOS sudah oke dan jadi device yang pertama dalam daftar media booting. Komputer tetap melewatkan DVD-Rom, langsung membaca hardisk trus menampilkan boot menu Linux. Ini terjadi berulang-ulang, beberapa kali restart, setting BIOS, tekan F12 (temporary startup device, tapi ini adanya di komputer Lenovo).  Entah bagaimana sesekali bisa booting lewat CD, tapi windows yang di install malah nggak sempurna ( keluar pesan “file hal.dll rusak”). Wadawww…

Giliran mau booting ulang dari CD lagi, si Lenovo M55 ini ngulah. CD windows di bypass, dilirik aja nggak dan langsung masuk ke pesan “file hal.dll rusak”. Sedikit frustrasi saya coba tanya ke mbah Google. Mbah google memberi beberapa link ke orang-orang yang punya masalah sama dengan saya dan anehnya tak ada solusi sama sekali. Forum di lenovo juga tidak banyak membantu.

Penasaran untuk yang kedua kalinya, saya coba di komputer lainnya ( perlu diketahui komputer di tempat saya semuanya bermerk Lenovo Thinkcentre dengan berbagai tipe ). Kekhawatiran saya benar, komputer yang lainnya juga mengulah, gak mau booting lewat CD.

Bosan, capek dan frustrasi tentunya, saya putuskan untuk mengakhiri sebuah tanda tanya besar hari ini dan melanjutkannya besok.
