Bournemouth Shopping Trip

I love taking a mid-week break for shopping in Bournemouth. Perhaps it’s the primeval desire for hunting and gathering that is tweaked by a good visit to the great stores, boutiques and shopping malls to seek out discounts and bargains.

Perhaps it’s the bright lights and knowing all these people are waiting to serve you. Then there is the pleasure of wearing the new clothes or seeing happiness on the face of the person for whom you have bought the gifts.

But perhaps, above all, there’s the delicious thrill of knowing you are enjoying a midweek bargain break while everyone else is working!

Shopping is fun but shopping somewhere different can be even more fun, especially when combined with a discounted mid-week break stopover in a town that has loads of shops like Bournemouth and all the entertainments and diversions of a classic seaside resort.

Another advantage of the midweek break is that Bournemouth hoteliers like me – well definitely me – are more than happy to offer bargains and discounts on midweek breaks because, especially out of high season, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday hotel bed and breakfast breaks are less popular than Friday, Saturday and Sunday and empty rooms in my B & B actually prevent me doing things I like – such as shopping!
