http://www.scandinavemontreal.com/

The Yumi Kim Natalie Dress this past summer was one that definitely got worn a lot by those who were lucky enough to purchase it. The easy dress could have been worn to a wedding one night then to stroll the streets of NY the week after. It was a strapless dress to a dinner then made into a halter for the after party!

Yumi Kim saw the love and brought it back as a jumper with the same sexy neckline, but this time in solid black, navy and purple, the chic colors of choice. $215/$151

Another party season is heading our way, let’s make new fashion memories!!

New Orleans is hands down one of my favorite American cities. How can you not love a city that has amazing live music, fabulous food, open container laws and Reggie Bush? Laissez les bon temps roulez! Another aspect of the city that is truly world class is its antique shops. Now in full disclosure, during my NO visits I haven’t ventured out to shops outside the French Quarter, but the WSJ just wrote about a fabulous shop called Perch. located in the Garden District.

I love this little shop and can’t wait to visit in person! To me, they have the perfect combination of antiques with a modern twist with colors and textiles that are fresh and fun. The prices are a bit steep, but just by judging from their website, I can tell it would be a great place to go for inspiration (like the above lucite table, which I think you could get a similar look by using the Peekaboo console from CB2 and some fun wall decals).

Anyway, check out their website. I can truly say I love everything featured in this shop and I’m also thinking a New Orleans trip is definitely in my near future!

Sumbody, based out of Sebastopol, CA, is one of my favorite spas and manufacturers of eco-friendly beauty products. Founder and CEO, Deborah Burnes, started the company in 2001 in response to the need for natural and ethically made skin care products.

Burnes recently wrote, Look Great, Live Green, a highly informative and tremendously helpful book and resource for anyone trying to live a greener lifestyle. It includes a comprehensive guide on product labeling, natural skin care alternatives, and at home beauty recipes.

The following are just a few of my Sumbody faves, which also make really fantastic gifts:

Sumbody’s Study Buddy Aromatherapy Kit $19.95

Sumbody’s Study Aromatherapy Kit contains four mini-Zappers in: Distraction, Fatigue, Anxiety, and Stress. These aromatherapy oil blends are absolutely incredible in terms of “zapping” what they’re named after. Instructions say to apply on temples, neck, and chest, and I find swiping them on the ears and wrists to be highly effective as well. Anxiety (motherwort, chamomile, lavender extracts) and Distraction (sage, rosemary, peppermint extracts) are particularly beneficial to me on an almost daily basis. The full size Zappers are $14.95 and are available in many other helpful formulas.

Washington, D.C.
