The Bachelorette finale is tonight! And there are a lot of speculations at to what will happen. Who will Jillian Harris pick? Do not read further if you do not want to know any spoilers. Unlike last season, the producers of the show have done a pretty good job in keeping the finale results sealed. We however have some details on what will likely happen. * What is all but certain is that Kiptyn will not be the winner. He is heavily rumored to be the new bachelor. * Another certainty is that Reid will be coming back to the show. It seems he will be proposing to Jillian as well. * So that leaves us with Ed and Reid. Everything seems to be pointing to Reid not being the winner. * That leaves us with Ed. This is where the confusion comes in. Will Jillian pick Ed to be her man or will she pick no one? A lot of the information as well as interviews Jillian has given points to her picking no one, and not being engaged. Then again this could be the producers playing a trick on us, as they tell her what she can and cannot say. During all of her interviews before and during the show, Jillian has never mentioned being in a relationship or being engaged. This is very rare. The Bachelor(ettes) of the past shows always talked about being in love with the winner or being engaged. When asked again last week if she was engaged, Jillian said – “I can definitely say I am on top of the world right now and I can’t wait for Monday, so everybody can see why.” She only says she’s happy with her decision. RealitySteve also has another theory. He believes with Reid and Ed proposing to her, she might decide to pick no one because she needs more time leaving us with a cliff hanger until the After The Rose show. The Bachelorette finale does not air until 2 more weeks but we have some major spoilers here for you! Including the big rumor that Ed had a girlfriend during the show.

Stop reading now if you do not want to know what happens. Majority of this information comes from RealitySteve. This is the same guy that revealed what would happen with Jason Mesnick and Melissa Rycroft on The Bachelor earlier this year. He was 100% accurate then, so there’s a good chance he is with this info as well. Enjoy the spoilers below –

1) Ed Swiderski proposes to Jillian Harris during the season finale airing in two weeks (Next week’s show is the “Men Tell All” episode)

2) The “unexpected confession” on the season finale is that Jillian’s just-vanquished Reid Rosenthal, returns to say he loves her. Jillian has to choose between Ed and Reid.

3) Kiptyn Locke will be named the next star of The Bachelor.

What we do know for sure according to RealitySteve, is that Reid did not attend the taping of the Men Tell All, which all of the bachelors with the exception of the final 2 typically attend. This leads us to believe Reid is not yet done with the show.

Also, Wes Hayden did not attend the Men Tell All taping at the request of ABC. The producers of the show are allegedly not happy with the way he has been running his mouth in an attempt to restore his honor. They felt he would be a loose canon on the show.

And finally, the big rumor for weeks has been one involving Ed having a girlfriend during filming. Say it ain’t so! RealitySteve was able to get his hands on an email exchange alleged between Ed and this girlfriend. The exchange is below -

An email was sent asking “So I guess we’re seeing other people now.” Ed responded with “No, I just need to wait until this show is over.” This girlfriend of Ed’s is under the assumption they are together and she just has to wait out the show.

It seems Ed left his Chicago girlfriend high and dry to go film the show. It makes sense that this might have been his reason for urgently wanting to leave the show, and not the job excuse he gave.

So who wins Jillian’s heart in the end? That is what we don’t know. The speculation is that Jillian might have pulled a Brad Womack by not choosing anyone. Only time will tell.

TELL US – WHAT ARE YOU THOUGHTS ON ALL THIS?

It now seems the whole Wes girlfriend mystery has finally been solved or has it? Coming out in Wes’s defense today is the alleged girlfriend mentioned on this week’s episode of The Bachelorette.

Laurel Kagay spoke out to People claiming Jillian Harris has nothing to worry about when it comes to Wes two timing her. Laurel claims to have been in shock when she heared her name mentioned during the last episode. “I was like, ‘What?’” Laurel, 29, states. “There was this pause before he said my name — and then he said it quite a few times.”

Laurel, owner of Peach Body Boutique in Austin, Tex., however insists she and Wes are just friends: “I’m absolutely not with Wes, nor would I be if he were going on a show to be with another girl,” she says. “That’s absolutely crazy.”

So why did both Jake and Tanner mention Wes having a girlfriend? “And I think Wes did say something about his ex-girlfriend. Maybe he said he still cares about me or whatever. Maybe he talked a little too much about me, and Jake just blew that into something else.” However, Laurel admits, “We are really good friends and we do go out to lunch together, so I could see how people could think we’re together.” Not sure I’m buying this.

Oh but there’s more to Laurel. She has had her fair share of Bachelors as she is also linked to another famous name in The Bachelor franchise – Brad Womack, you know the bachelor who chose no one on his season finale. According to Laurel, they dated for four years.

She has also dated Collin Evans, who was briefly a contender on The Bachelorette season starring Jen Schefft.

I’m not buying this whole we were just friends thing. Wes seems like the slimey type and I think Jillian should have sent him packing. I believe Jake on this one and do believe Wes came on the show only for the fame because he actually admitted to that on a past episode. So I do not doubt for one second that he was dating this Laurel person while pretending to be there for Jillian. This seems to be his lame attempt to save his so called career as a country singer.

TELL US – DO YOU THINK JILLIAN SHOULD HAVE SENT WES PACKING?

Jillian Harris hasn’t accepted a proposal on The Bachelorette as filming has not finished, but the restaurant designer admits she is unsure if she will even chose one guy in the end.

“I can’t tell you whether it would end in marriage. But all of the people that I have left are remarkable people and I have not met anybody like these guys,” Harris says.

The Canada native says she is considering following in the some-what controversial footsteps of Bachelor Brad Womack and not choosing a fiancé. “Yes that’s something I’ve been thinking about a lot. There’s nobody saying that I have to get engaged,” she says.

“It’s so difficult to know how to choose the right person in the end. And as you know I have not chosen that person yet, so I’m still struggling with that decision,” Harris added.

The Bachelorette premieres this Monday on ABC. The season kicks off with the traditional cocktail party, only this time Harris will choose from 30 guys instead of the normal 25.

 A sharply dressed Brad Womack greeted hundreds of adoring women at an events center in Austin on Aug. 9.

It’s one of several public appearances Womack has made since he was on “The Bachelor.”

Womack has recently started doing more press now that the woman he rejected, DeAnna Pappas, has moved on with her “Bachelorette” suitor Jesse Csincsak.

He didn’t have any prepared statement, instead only taking questions from the audience. What he had to say revealed a lot about how “real” reality television really is.

“I 100 percent can promise you I went on looking for a relationship,” Womack said. “What people don’t realize is you see an edited version of the show.”

He adds that “in no way did I go on to promote business,” answering a common skeptical question about whether he went on to the show to promote his four Austin-owned bars.

Womack said he wanted to end the show two weeks before the finale because he knew that it wasn’t going to work out with any of the girls. He had a meeting with the producers and they told him that he was contractually obligated to go through with it. “This is unfair to these girls,” he told the producers.

So those last two weeks, Womack was just going through the motions. “I was told I was going ring shopping,” he said. “I wasn’t asked.” 

He also said he fought with the producers over whether to include shots of him with his shirt off and didn’t like wearing television make-up.

But he contradicted himself, too, saying that he really believes in the concept of the show and that he was never forced to do or say anything. (Hmm…except for the whole proposal thing.) 

What kind of girl is he looking for? “My ideal woman is a friend, period,” Womack said. “Physical attraction comes and goes, we all know that. I just want a friend.”

In a candid interview in the Austin American-Statesman, Brad Womack talks about what it was like to be the most scorned Bachelor in Bachelor History. He does reveal some interesting tidbits, for instance, he was so hurt by the wrath of the Internet that he stopped reading all of the message boards and Web sites.

He also says that he watched every episode of The Bachelorette and that he was grateful when DeAnna said she had never had more sympathy for him in her life.

Also, he admits that his bars did well after his season aired.

I think most of us who have gone through college and been out in the workforce for a few years have suffered heartbreak.  It’s an intense cloud of weeks, even months, that seems to damper your ability to function in society and stunt hopes of finding someone that’s just perfect for you.  At least in the fairy tale Goldilocks, she knew which chair, porridge and bed were the right for her.  But in reality, how do you ever really know?

I ask because I just finished watching the most recent episode of The Bachelorette (which according to Tumblr is the newest feminist, guilty pleasure).  [SPOILER ALERT]  Tonight DeAnna visited the families of the four remaining men.  In the end, both she and Graham’s mother doubted whether or not he was ready to commit.  A little background for those who don’t watch the show: DeAnna was the last one standing at ABC’s last The Bachelor show, but Brad ultimately chose no one, breaking her heart and leading her on.  During this season, she knew exactly how painful the process was for each of the 25 men, which ABC hammers into our mind with every preview, TV show appearance and episode.  DeAnna’s a beautiful and spunky girl, but she’s been hurt and heartbroken.  Her ultimate fear is to be left at the final show again by a man who can’t commit to her.  Hence, the apprehension with Graham, and why she ultimately gave him up.

But what strikes me most about this particular tear-filled ending is DeAnna’s poignant remark about falling in love.  What if she can’t fall in love again because she just let go of her perfect counterpart?  Of course, there are still three men, Jeremy, Jason and Jesse (coincidental Js?), vying for her affections.  What about us?  How do we ever know when we’ve wrongfully let go of the right person?  Is there such a thing?

It’s been almost a year since I broke up with my ex… sort of.  During this time, we aren’t really broken up, but neither are we officially together.  Being in that gray area is hugely dangerous for a girl who wants a future husband and lots of potential babies.  But I can’t seem to let him go.  In my mind, it all stops with him.  The possibility of someone else seems quite preposterous.  So is sticking around and waiting the right thing to do?  The feelings are there.  What if I’ve done the exact opposite of DeAnna?  Is doubt a sign?

I’m not quite sure.  Tonight’s show just left me with the same pot of questions as before.  Maybe it’s time to find a nice doctor or something…

That’s what ABC promised. I have to say, I’ve never watched a full episode of The Bachelor or The Bachelorette (though I have made a snap judgment as to who I think they’ll pick and break up with based on a picture). Since Julie wasn’t convinced she wanted to blog about this show, I decided to give her the nudge by starting this week. If you missed it, watch the show here, or follow the jump for my recap.

After seeing DeAnna get dumped by that Austin bar owner, I felt sorry for her. I never would have thought I’d say that because, let’s face it, how REAL are people when they claim they’re looking for love on television (have you seen some of the other “looking for love” reality shows)? I’m not sure (yet) that I believe DeAnna when she swears over and over again that she’s sure she’ll find her fairy tale ending, but I’m sure she’ll fall in like with some of these guys. Oh, and like Julie’s mentioned before, host Chris Harrison has mentioned (again) that this will be the most dramatic season yet!

The viewers get a brief glimpse of some of these guys – kind of like speed dating. Here’s what I want to know: do these guys watch the show? How do they know she’s “the one?” Is she the one who’ll get them some air time? Is she the one they want to make out with (or more)? Is she the one they want to marry? I don’t know how these dudes knew anything about DeAnna – except for what they may find in a simple online search.

Before DeAnna meets the 25 bachelors, she tells Chris she wants to feel butterflies. She wants a guy who is caring, loves her, respects her, and knows what they want (ahem, Brad, that’s a dig at YOU). Then come the guys. I’ll just mention the unusual ones.

Luke, an oyster farmer from South Carolina was terribly nervous. DeAnna, apparently trying to put him at ease, asked him to tell her something funny. He said she looked great. Then he said, “That’s not funny.”

Chandler, another southern gentleman (he’s from Virginia) got out of the limo and looked off to the left. DeAnna asked him what he was looking at, and he said her, then called her gorgeous or beautiful. I think he was looking to see what other ladies were around…He also used a duck caller around her. Weird.

In the process of awarding the three first impression roses, DeAnna had drinks with the guys, who each tried to score some one on one time.

Jeremy was the first to score a rose. He’s a real estate attorney from Dallas. When DeAnna presented him with the red flower, some guy yelled, “Jerk!” Yeah! That’s the guy I want! Seriously? That’s how you get her attention? Loser.

Jesse got the second rose. He was wearing a crazy jacket, jeans and sneakers. He’s a professional snowboarder. He told DeAnna’s friend Jenni he chose that outfit because he wanted DeAnna to know he was different.

Richard took the third rose. He’s a science teacher from New York. He gave DeAnna a crystal. She said he was dorky and a science nerd, but she liked him. I liked him a little more when he said he was picked on growing up (and look at him now).

Ron got a rose. He was the only one to show up without a jacket. Ron owns a barber shop in Missouri. During their alone time, he told DeAnna he had been divorced. That’s a red flag to some girls, but DeAnna decided to give him a chance.

Graham got a rose. DeAnna said he was her type 100%. He’s a professional basketball player. They were both bartenders at one time.

Eric also got a rose. He’s greek, like DeAnna. He’s also a senior analyst in Boston. He said he wants to marry a Greek. He told DeAnna he’s very close to his mother and that his parents would not accept anyone who is not Greek. That’s the boy she’ll want to take home to mama.

Robert is a chef in San Francisco who also got a rose. To score some alone time with DeAnna, he whipped up a little crab cocktail. DeAnna said it was “really, really good.” That irked the other guys.

Another rose goes to Sean, the martial arts master from Kentucky. He interrupted the alone time with Jesse to put on a little show: he kicked a lemon off Jesse’s head! DeAnna said it was kind of weird, but it got her attention.

Ryan received the next rose. He’s a professional football player. He told her about his faith (and we all knew from the beginning of the show that he’s a virgin – expect THAT to be played up). While they were talking outside, DeAnna said she was cold, so they shared a blanket (why didn’t he take off his jacket?), which he hogged. Another guy took his jacket out to her.

Chris, the Dallas medical salesman, also won a rose. This one stumped me a little. He admitted to DeAnna that he had cheated in a previous relationship. I guess DeAnna thinks he’ll be faithful to her. We’ll see…

Paul pulled out, um, all the stops to get the rose. The Canadian sales manager jumped into the pool, despite DeAnna’s protest. Then, asking for a rose, he did a little strip tease, revealing a speedo with DeAnna’s name on the back.

Fred received the next rose. The Chicago lawyer gave her a Chicago bear hug and told her to win and he’d come give her a hug. I don’t remember him doing anything spectacular during their one-on-one time.

Twilley, the Scot Baio look-alike, got the next rose. He’s a debt manager from Dallas. He seemed incredibly nervous the whole time. He told DeAnna her dress was sparkly and said she was a good hugger.

Jason received a rose. He spoke Greek to DeAnna. He’s an account executive in Kirkland, WA. He’s got a secret: he’s a single dad. I hope he tells DeAnna about his son next week. I’d hate for him to keep that to himself for too long.

Chris walked in and pointed out DeAnna had one rose left. Why? Total buzz kill.

Brian won the final rose. The Fort Worth high school football coach told DeAnna he was looking forward to getting to know her. He was the first bachelor to get out of the limo – maybe that’s why she remembered him!

Another Brian didn’t make the cut. He lifted up his shirt and made her touch his abs of steel. Some of the rejects seemed genuinely sad to go. Some were angry. Case in point, Greg (pictured on the right). Now, not to defend him, but I think he had a bit too much to drink. After he was sent home, he proceeded to curse, then rip off his shirt and pose. Now, note to anyone considering doing this – whether it’s on TV or in life on the REAL world: make sure your front and back isn’t all red and pimply. Total turnoff! I actually saw this part in the control room Monday night. My reaction was, “NO! Put your shirt back on!” I don’t know if I heard correctly, but I thought he even told DeAnna he did not have tattoos, but he clearly did. Ladies, if you meet Greg, you’ve been warned.

The bachelors spend six weeks getting to know DeAnna and prove to her they’re worthy of her love (and another rose). Expect hand holding, cuddling, dancing, tears, and plenty of smooching in the coming weeks.

Brad Womack, the latest single man on The Bachelor, shocked the world by not picking either of the two gorgeous, incredible, any-man-would-kill-to-get-a-date-with-them ladies to be his blushing bride. Most were surprised by his decision, but previous entries in Brad’s diary show that we really shouldn’t have been.

Dear diary:   This morning I had breakfast, took a shower and then started to get dressed.  I found myself at my dresser, looking into my heart while I looked into my underwear drawer.  Boxers or briefs?  I can honestly say it was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make.  Boxers give me feelings I’ve never had before, but in my heart I knew I couldn’t commit to them.  Briefs bring out a side of me I never knew I had, but I didn’t think they would work long term.  In the end I chose neither and went commando, but I still think about those boxers all the time.

Dear diary:   A normal trip to the grocery store turned into a emotional roller coaster today.  I was in the checkout line, feeling good about things, until the cashier uttered three little words: “paper or plastic?”.  I had to make an extremely tough decision.  I deeply respect the environmental friendliness of paper bags, but they just don’t give me those butterflies I need to feel in order to make a commitment.  Plastic bags have handles, they’re strong, they’re reusable–they have every quality I’m looking for.  However, for reasons I can’t explain, I’m just not in love with them.  I finally said “neither”.  The cahsier asked me how I’m going to get $300 in groceries home.  I told her “I can’t apologize for not falling in love”.  I carried my groceries home.  They were almost as heavy as my heart.

Dear diary:   Guess what?  I won the lottery today!  I was so excited when they called and told me the news.  That is until they threw me a curve ball…”Would you like a lump sum payment or would you like the payments spread out over 20 years?”.  I was crestfallen.  $360 million over 20 years or $150 million right now?  I care so, so deeply for money.  I have a really good time with money.  Money makes me feel really good about myself.  But I just couldn’t commit either way.  I owed it to the lottery commission to be honest with them, regardless of how much it hurt right now.  I decided not to take either option.  I’m not richer financially today, but I’m richer in character.  I’ll miss that money more than it knows, though.

2 posts in a row about reality TV! I’m on a roll.  Some might say the blog has hit an all-time low. Anyway, I used to be a huge fan of the reality show The Bachelor.  My friend Dana and I watched it religiously. Sometime around season 6 I tired of the show realizing the concept is a scam – it’s impossible to concurrently date 25 people, meet someone, fall in love and establish a meaningful relationship on TV in 6 weeks.  I did somehow manage to catch the “After the Final Rose” episode of the latest Bachelor where Brad Womack chooses no one - a legitimate ending if you ask me. The show began with bringing back the only 2 surviving couples after 11 seasons of The Bachelor and 3 of The Bachelorette – how is that for a track record. Surviving couples Trista and Ryan with baby in tow and Mary and Byron all made a lukewarm appearance. The whole episode was uncomfortable and weird anyway because the 2 cast-off bachelorettes were confronting Brad, Trista and Ryan didn’t seem too thrilled about having their weeks-old baby on national TV (must have been part of some ominous contract related to the pink nightmare primetime wedding from hell) and Mary and Byron seemed awkward at best. Host Chris Harrison concluded the meet-and-greet with a haranguing of Mary and Bryon about when they were going to marry and received a vague answer – you could feel the discomfort through the TV.  Now here’s where it gets really good and why I’ve posted about reality tv twice in a row- 2 days after the show this  appears on the newswire. Mary was arrested for punching Byron in the face! Just on the heels of their TV appearance. Doesn’t get much better than this. I’m guessing the nuptials won’ be anytime soon.
