<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p><em> I realize that this all went down a while ago, but not many people I&#8217;ve spoken to has heard about it, so I figured I&#8217;d share anyway.</em></p>
<p>So, basically this company, Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), is supposedly an &#8220;advocate for the poor&#8221;, according to the company. According to the company&#8217;s website, ACORN, &#8220;Is the nation&#8217;s largest community organization of low- and moderate-income families, working together for social justice and stronger communities.&#8221; This company <em>has</em> received federal funding, $53 million in federal money in the past 15 years.</p>
<p>So, alright. This ACORN company fights to help out us poor folks. the government gives them a few million dollars to help us out. So what?</p>
<p>2008. Election year. Obama vs. McCain. I hope you all remember this event, because, not only was it called &#8220;an election the would go down in history&#8221; (like they don&#8217;t say that about EVERY election), but it was&#8230; well, a year ago. C&#8217;mon folks, keep up with me, here.</p>
<p>Anywho, city election commissioners start complaining that a lot of submitted registrations are a bit fishy.So they ask the district attorney’s office to check it out. Turns out, 48% of voting registrations turned in by ACORN were &#8220;fraudulent&#8221;.</p>
<p><em>&#8220;Gee, Martina. What do you mean by that?&#8221;</em></p>
<p>Basically, they registered dead people to vote.</p>
<p>Yes. Deceased Americans now have the right to vote~! Thank you, ACORN. My grandmother in heaven can now smile, knowing that her spiritual voice will be heard.</p>
<p>And it doesn&#8217;t help that ACORN has ties with President Obama, now does it?</p>
<p>It gets better.</p>
<p>September 10, 2009.</p>
<p>A video surfaced on the internet of a couple who went to ACORN offices in New York, Washington, California, and Maryland; telling the ACORN employees that said they were operating a prostitution ring that involved underage girls from El Salvador.  They asked the company to help them hide their felonious income from federal tax authorities.</p>
<p>So, what do the employees do? Call the police? Refuse to help? Start to lecture about how immoral and illegal prostitution of young girls are?</p>
<p>Any of these would be normal reactions, no?</p>
<p>In every video, ACORN tries to help the couple, fully aware of the situation.</p>
<p>In this video, a couple (disguised as a pimp and a prostitute) go to an ACORN office and request their help in obtaining a house, in order to open a whorehouse. Take a look:</p>

Eli ymmärrämmekö millaisessa haasteessa ja ympäristössä kyseinen yritys/brändi toimii. Tämä perinteinen lähestymistapa perustuu medialähtöiseen ajatteluun jossa pientä b2b-kohderyhmää ei kannata tavoitella esim. TV:n avulla koska &#8220;turhien&#8221; osumien määrä on niin suuri. Mielestäni klassinen kahtiajako (b2b ja b2c) voitaisiin uudessa kommunikaatioajattelussa jo unohtaa. </p>
<p>Verkossa jokainen kohtaaminen tapahtuu sinun brändin ja palveluun tulleen henkilön välillä! Eli välissä ei ole enää median tuomia rajoitteita tai haasteita (turhia osumia) vaan jokaisella on syynsä olla vuorovaikutuksessa juuri sinun brändin kanssa. Joten verkossa olisi syytä unohtaa vanha ajattelu ja miettiä miten rakennat vuoropuhelun parhaalla tavalla oman kohderyhmäsi kanssa. </p>
<p>Blogikirjoituksessa <a href="http://blog.marketo.com/blog/2009/11/four-ways-that-b2b-social-media-marketing-builds-brands-and-generates-leads.html">Four Ways that B2B Social Media Marketing Builds Brands and Generates Leads </a> Jon Miller tuo mielestäni esille kiinnostavia näkökulmia b2b-yritysten hyödyistä web2.0 sovellusten käytössä. </p>
<p>Jon Millerin mukaan b2b-yrityksetkin hyötyvät sosiaalisen median sovelluksista monella tavalla: tunnettuus paranee, thought leader -aseman saavutettavuus tai SEO-tulokset paranevat. </p>
<p>Mutta vähiten puhuttu näkökulma kirjoituksessa liittyy <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Net_Promoter">Net Promoter Score</a> -malliin, jonka taustalla on suosittelun merkitys yritykselle. Ja suosittelua on perinteisesti pidetty b2b-yritysten keskuudessa tärkeimpänä tekijänä kun puhutaan markkinoinnista. Lyhyesti, Net Promoter Score -malli kertoo kuinka vahvoilla yritys tai brändi on suosittelun näkökulmasta. Malli voitaisiin tiivistää kysymykseen &#8220;oletko valmis susittelemaan tätä yritystä/brändiä?&#8221; Mitä parempi tulos, sitä enemmän yritys/brändi saa suosituksia. Ja tällä hetkellä verkossa positiivinen viesti voi saavuuttaa yhtäkkiä satoja ellei tuhansia henkilöitä, jotka aika usein ovat myös toimialansa edelläkävijöitä. </p>
<p>Unohdetaan siis b2b ja b2c-mallit ja keskitytään rakentamaan innostavaa sisältöä ja vuoropuhelua, joka tekee suosittelusta helppoa. Ja tämähän edistää parhaalla tavalla liiketoimintaa. Sosiaalinen media ja b2b-liiketoiminta sopivat yhteen, kunhan keskitytään oikeisiin asioihin eli kohderyhmää kiinnostaviin sisältöihin.</p>

Ja mikä tapahtuu Atlantin takana ensi vuonna, tapahtuu Ruotsissa puoli vuotta myöhemmin ja Suomessa aikaisintaan vuoden päästä. Kaksisuuntaisiin medioihin panostaminen tarkoittaa sitä että yritykset ja brändit haluavat rakentaa vuoropuhelua kohderyhmiensä kanssa eli ne haluavat saada tavan kommunikoida. Perinteiset yksisuuntaiset eivät välttämättä mahdollista välitöntä vuoropuhelua.</p>

<p>Vuoropuhelun rakentamiseen panostaminen väistämättä johtaa myös siihen että brändin ja viestinnän suunnittelun tulisi muuttua. Brändi- ja viestintästrategiat on suunniteltu perinteistä brändin- ja maineenrakentamista varten jossa strategia toteutetaan hallitusti mediapanoksia tai mediasuhteita hyödyntäen. Mutta kun halutaan panostaa vuoropuhelun rakentamiseen, hallittavuus ja ennustettavuus vaikeutuvat. Alla oleva kuva konkretisoi muutamien esimerkkien kautta muutosta median parissa käytetyn ajan kautta. Yrityksellä ja brändillä tulee olla siis valmius reagoida kohderyhmän kanssa avattuun vuoropuheluun heti eikä vasta seuraavan kampanjamittauksen jälkeen. </p>

Resurssit ovat globaaleja ja verkottuminen on entistä tärkempää ja helpompaa (R=G). Kaikkea ei enää kannata tehdä itse. Toisaalta jokainen asiakas on erilainen ja siksi jokaista asiasta tulee palvella hänen tarpeidensa pohjalta (N=1).</p>
<p>Verkkoyhteisöt ja sosiaaliset mediat vaikuttavat tällä hetkellä voimakkaasti yritysten haluun ja mahdolllisuuteen rakentaa vuoropuhelua yleisönsä kanssa.  Unohtamatta toisaalta myöskään esimerkiksi myymälöitä. Mutta kuluttajien käyttäytyminen on muuttumassa peruuttamattomasti ja siksi muutosten täytyisi yltää myös sinne miten brändi- ja markkinointistrategioita suunnitellaan.</p>
<p>Mielestäni olisi aika uudistaa ajattelua, joka huomioisi paremmin Prahaladin N=1 idean ja vuoropuhelun siirtymisen &#8220;sinne missä kuluttaja sitä haluaa käydä&#8221;. Entä jos ratkaisu ei olekaan markkinointi- ja viestintästrategia, vaan läsnäolostrategia. Silloin meidän tulisi ensin ymmärtää paremmin foorumit, joissa kohderyhmä haluaa käydä vuoropuhelua. Jos haluaisin ostaa auton, miksi minun täytyy etsiä automerkin jälleenmyyjän kotisivut sen sijaan että löytäisin myyjän vaikka Facebookista? Tai jos haluaisin varata autolle huollon, miksi minun täytyy tehdä se monimutkaisen varausjärjestelmän kautta kun voisin tehdä senkin helposti 140 merkillä Twitterissä (rekisterinumero, puhelinnumero ja toivottu huoltoaika sopivat merkkirajaan). Miksei Youtubesta löydy enempää tuotteiden käyttöohjeita? Kukaan ei jaksa selata paksuja 10 eri kielen käyttöohjeita. Läsnäolostrategian kautta päädytään tuottamaan myös yhä enemmän kokemuksellisia brändiviestejä. </p>
<p>Jos suunnittelisimme aluksi miten rakennamme vuoropuhelun paikoissa, joissa kohderyhmämme on läsnä. Ja kun tämä toimii oikeasti, voisimme tukea vuoropuhelua kampanjalla. Mutta kampanjan tehtävänä on tukea uutta läsnäolon ajatusta, ei johtaa prosessia. Ja tämä muutos haastaa niin asiakkaat kuin toimistot.</p>
<p>&#8220;Radikaali brändi on organisaatiota ohjaava ajattelutapa &#8211; toimintaa ja viestintää yhdistävä visio&#8221; kirjoittivat Nando Malmelin ja Jukka Hakala kirjassaan Radikaali brändi. Mielestäni läsnäolostrategia tukee radikaali brändi -ajattelua. Lähtökohtana on yksikön ja brändin välinen toiminta yksilön valitsemassa ympäristössä, joka on yhä harvemmin perinteinen mainoskanava. </p>

Ainakaan arvostus ei ole mitään mitä Alexa mittaa. <a title="Alexa: helmet.fi" href="http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/helmet.fi">HelMetin</a> <a title="Alexa: Suomen suosituimmat" href="http://www.alexa.com/topsites/countries/FI">sijoitus Suomessa on nimittäin 255</a> ja <a title="Alexa: Suomen suosituimmat, sivu 12" href="http://www.alexa.com/topsites/countries;12/FI">viiden päässä ovat </a>Aktia Savings Bank, Tiede-lehti, DVD-Plaza, Ilmatieteenlaitos, Arvopaperi, Nettivaraosa.com, Suomen Kennelliitto, Suomen yritykset, Peliplaneetta sekä V2. Laskin tuosta kansainväliseltä haiskahtavat sivustot (esim. Thomann sekä pari pornosaittia) pois. Ihmisillä on ehkä aika vaihtelevia kriteerejä verkkobrändin arvostukseen liittyen, mutta ilmeisesti käytettävyys, selkeys tai nykyaikaisuus eivät kuulu niihin tärkeimpiin. Ihmiset taitavat kovasti arvostaa sitä, että kirjaston oheispalveluja ylipäätään voi käyttää netin kautta. <content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>Suosittelulla on ollut aina oma roolinsa kun on puhuttu brändin rakentamisesta ja myynnistä. Kuinka saadaan sidosryhmät kertomaan eteenpäin tuotteesta ja palvelusta? Asiantuntijapalveluiden myynnissä suosittelua on korostettu koska käytössä ei ole kuluttajatuotteisiin verrattavia resusseja markkinointiviestintään.</p>
<p>Viime aikoina suosittelu on kuitenkin saanut uudenlaisen merkityksen koska vanha malli &#8220;kokemusta huonosta palvelusta/tuotteesta kerrotaan kymmenelle&#8221; on saanut uuden ulottuvuuden. Kohderyhmä, jolle palvelu- ja tuotekokemukset kerrotaan, ei ole enää 10 vaan se voi olla 100 tai 1000!</p>
<p>Käytännössä tämä tarkoittaa mielenkiintoista näkökulmaa yrityksen markkinointiviestinnän resursseihin ja prosesseihin. Dave Evansin uudenlainen myyntiprosessin malli korostaa myyntitapahtuman jälkeisten vaiheiden merkitystä. Kuinka yritys tai brändi varmistaa ensinnäkin sen että asiakas on tyytyväinen ja kuinka hänet saadaan kertomaan postiivisesta kokemuksesta eteenpäin? Tehokkaalla myynnin jälkihoidolla (soitto, kysely, käyttövinkit, etc.) kuluttajan valmiutta suositteluun voidaan nostaa. Haasteena on se että yritysten toiminta- ja palkkiomallit eivät välttämättä tue &#8220;nautintovaihetta&#8221; vaan oleellista on vain uusien asiakkaiden hankinta, ei vanhojen tyytyväisyys. 80/20 suhde myyntivaiheeseen pitäisi arvioida uusiksi ja siirtää painopistettä suosittelua tukevaksi. Tosin tilannetta ei pelasta mikään jos itse tuote ei ole kunnossa!</p>

<p>In this day and age where we are hearing and reading so many bad things youth are involved in, Brandi is definitely the wonderful candle shining we all hope and wish for. I just had to share this story from our St. Jude Electronic Bulletin Board with all of you. It all started when Brandi sent out e-mails trying to get help for her newfound friends on the verge of starving and dying.</p>
<p>“I really need some help. I just found 2 dogs across the road from my house who have been horribly abused. They are starving and eat up with mange. Please contact me. I do not know what to do and I cannot leave them there to die. I will bring them there or whatever I need to do &#8212; give money, etc. I <!--more-->fed them and gave them water, but I cannot bring them to my house. They are all I can think about. Please Help <strong>. . . .  </strong>If something is not done ASAP they will die. The closest address is [Brandi's address] &#8211; that is my address. Here are the pictures. I&#8217;m keeping them plenty of food and water there. <p>Cyrus pulled out a couple $100 bills, handed one over but &#8220;kept all the change&#8221;. Miley&#8217;s spokeswoman defended the almost-seventeen-year-old by saying &#8220;She didn&#8217;t know she was supposed to tip unless she was eating inside&#8221;.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m on Team Cyrus, but was Miley being a cheapskate? And who carries that much cash in their purse?<br />
Oh wait, people who have the money do.<br />
Next time Miles, the courteous thing to do is tip <em>wherever</em> you eat.</p>

For instance, KFC isn&#8217;t Kentucky Fried Chicken anymore, it&#8217;s just KFC. BUT, most folks who have fond memories, or any memories at all I suppose still call it good old Kentucky Fried. OR, if a business closed, and the building was bought or leased by another company, they still refer to it as, &#8220;it&#8217;s where the old A&#38;W was,&#8221; OR, &#8220;the old Hardee&#8217;s building.&#8221; They never quite seem to catch up with what it is now. Well, tonight&#8217;s funny example comes from my dear old dad (not so old yet, but you know how the adage goes).</p>
<p>Remember the old Holiday Inn Holidomes? They were those roadside mega-hotels for road warrior, cross country vacationing style families that rivaled a water park or Pauly Shore&#8217;s &#8220;Biodome.&#8221; It was like a YMCA surrounded by hotel rooms. If you don&#8217;t remember them, you can stop reading, but I sure do remember them. Or the remnants of the Holidomes left over that were built in the 70&#8217;s. My favorite part, of this point is, when Dad remembers one thing as something in particular, that&#8217;s ALWAYS what it is. This isn&#8217;t a smear on my Dad&#8217;s reputation. He quite literally has one of the best memories of anyone you will ever meet. If he encountered it directly, he will NEVER forget it.</p>

<p>When I told him we&#8217;d be cutting our return trip into two stages, and that I was trying to think of the best place along our route to stop off, preferably with a pool for Ruthi (you&#8217;ll see evidence of this below), He repeatedly told me &#8220;I&#8217;m pretty sure there&#8217;s a Holidome in Goodland.&#8221; And he&#8217;s right. Our family stayed at that exact place on two different cross country trips, one in the summer of 1986 and the other in the summer of 1991. What&#8217;s funny is even after I told him that I booked the Holiday Inn Express in Goodland, he again replied with, &#8220;That might be a Holidome.&#8221; I told him I didn&#8217;t know if it would have lasted quite that long, but it JUST GOES TO SHOW HOW WELL A GOOD BRAND STICKS IN OUR HEAD!</p>
<p>When we arrived, it was evident that the old Holidome had since been eliminated, but was replaced with an outstanding new and clean Holiday Inn Express. I just wonder when I get down the road a bit, and Holiday Inn Expresses are replaced with Holiday Inn Space Town, how long I&#8217;ll continue to refer to them as a Holiday Inn Express. Here&#8217;s to you Dad!</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>The first day of class I was sitting there in the back of the class watching and listening to everyone talk about how they liked art and here I was the only one in there because it was basically the only class left to get into. I kept thinking to myself &#8220;this class isn&#8217;t for me&#8221; but everytime I come to class I&#8217;m glad I stayed in that class because it gets more interesting each time I go.</p>
<p>Here recently we had to pick out a piece of art work from Chapter 2 called The Ancient Near East. The art work that I chose was <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Relief_of_Shapur_I_capturing_Valerian.jpg" target="_blank">The Triumph of Shapur I over Valerian</a>. The information that I found out on it and what it meant was really interesting. Shapur I succeeded in capturing the Roman emperor Valerian near Edessa, Turkey. That was celebrated by the rock cut cliffs. Shapur appears larger than life, riding in from the right wearing a distinctive tall Sasanian crown. At the left, Valerian kneels before Shapur and begs for mercy.</p>

My bff and I used to sing this together back in highschool.  I forgot who I was &#8230; I think Brandi &#8230; lol.  Anyway, over the weekend the girls and I were just talking about how music is not the same as it used to be.  What happened to songs with actual meaning? Or songs that tell an intriguing story? Yea, I know, I miss it too.  Now we just know how to do the Stanky Leg, Ricky Bobby, Jerk and Chicken Wang.  And um &#8230; Why are we dancing like a chicken? Actually, not even a chicken, just it&#8217;s <span style="text-decoration:line-through;">wing</span> wang.  Please tell me why that is so cool?</p>
