Ear Worm!!

We had a band engagement this afternoon at Mercer Park in Accrington and we played a great programme, if I do say so myself. The mix of music was wide ranging in terms of styles, moods, tempos, audience participation and so on and I think we pretty much covered most things from big band (Hot Toddy) to film music (Themes from “Gladiator”), from marches (Aces High) to singalong/audience participation (Is This The Way To Amarillo) and from classic brass band “park-job” music (Floral Dance) to classic American folk songs (Appalachian Mountain Folk Song Suite). 262 more words

March 2014

March 2014 saw the Eccleston Brass Band (in which I was principal trombone) compete in the North West Regional Brass Band Championships, in Blackpool.
