We all know Brazil qualified for the World Cup because they are the hosting nations. But how did the other countries qualify? Costa Rica (currently 31st on the world ranking) missed out on the 2010 World Cup after losing a play-off against Uruguay but are back in business for Brazil.
Every 4 years we go through the same process: no matter which teams Korea is drawn with, we somehow convince ourselves that it’s perfectly doable.
