Ontem a noite, quem foi conferir em Brisbane (Austrália), a turnê mais lucrativa de Britney Spears, teve várias surpresas preparadas especialmente para os Australianos.

Britney mudou um pouco o figurino do show, deixou de  lado alguns elevadores e truques de mágica e não usou nem mesmo o guarda chuva utilizado durante a performance de “Everytime”.

Mas Britney esteva radiante e com muita energia no palco. Durante todo o espetáculo, Brit usou uma peruca channel loira, do mesmo tipo daquela cor de rosa (que prefiro nem comentar, pois não gosto de lembrar daquela triste fase da “minha” Rainha do Pop).

Brit pegou o microfone e cantou Everytime totalmente ao vivo, fãs que estavam no Entertainment Centre sairam de lá emocionados com a voz de Britney que provou mais uma vez o por que ela é uma das mulheres mais bem sucedidas do mundo, mesmo não sendo adepta a parcerias com principiantes e uma prova disso foi a declaraçao que Lady GaGa acabou de dar sobre o que aconteceu quando ela ofereceu “Telephone” a Miss Britney, ela disse:

Eu escrevi essa música para Britney há muito tempo, e ela simplesmente não quis usar em seu álbum. Mas tudo bem, porque eu amo a música, e é excitante eu ter que performá-la agora.”

Essa é nossa Britney, sem máscaras, sem óculos estranhos e sotaques nunca vistos antes e quanto  ao resto? O resto é modinha e logo passa.

Ahh … y por cierto, la voz del Sr. Tom Smith es la que es y eso es algo que no se puede cambiar, o no tan secillamente como escribir que es una voz que suena cansina y repetitiva.

Robbie Williams is set to receive the Outstanding Contribution To Music Award at next year’s BRIT Awards.

The star is also set to perform live at the ceremony at London’s Earls Court on February 16, 2010.

The singer has already picked up more prizes at the ceremony than any other solo artist, with 11 gongs to his name so far. Previous winners of the award include  David Bowie ,  Paul McCartney ,  Pet Shop Boys ,  Oasis  and U2 .

Ged Doherty, chairman of the BRITs committee, said in a statement: “Robbie is one of the outstanding artists and performers of his generation. It will be an absolute thrill to have him at the BRITS 30th anniversary show receiving the Outstanding Contribution Award. We are delighted.”

Williams won his first Brit award as a member of Take That, when ‘Could It Be Magic’ was named Best Single in 1993. The group went on to scoop three more trophies before he quit in 1995.

He was awarded his first BRIT as a solo artist in 1999 for Best British Male Artist and went on to win at least one category for another five years running.

In 2005 he performed his biggest hit ‘Angels’ live onstage alongside Joss Stone, and at an earlier BRITs, in 1998, he performed a duet with Tom Jones.

Earlier this week, Williams made his live comeback at the BBC Electric Proms, performing tracks from his forthcoming new album ‘Reality Killed The Video Star’ at his first live show in three years.

Yeah, last Sundays was particularly funny, with the Craigslist girl. But the show is okay. More interesting than it is funny.  I don’t like that he never loses a case. Have you heard the theory that she was in on the attack?  Apparently, there’s concern that she wanted to die, but didn’t want to commit suicide.  I’ve even read that the three of them had sex because no one wants to die a virgin, and then she did a bunch of things to look like she knew it was going to happen, because she did.  She even “somehow” saved her brother, who had a gun to his head at one point from several accounts.  I don’t subscribe to anyones version of the situation, because I wasn’t there and I really don’t care.  But when given the basic choices of “Knowing Co-conspirator” or “Teenager with mystical powers”, I’m going to invariably go with the one that’s more likely.

Here’s a nice little project bike that is already generating some interest in bids. It’s a 1963 BSA B40 that has been outfitted with a B44 motor. It is in need of finishing (hence Project Bike in the title of the post), but appears to be a relatively easy bike to complete. The seller claims the engine is running with all wiring in place, but I would ask questions before buying this bike.

Luckily, you have lots of time to ask questions as there are still over 6 days left in the auction. The price has already gone above $400 from a starting price $1, although reserve has not been met. And there are three people bidding so far. Perhaps this little beezer will generate a fair bit of interest…

Button & Brawn Celebrate a Double Victory

Last Sunday at the Brazilian Grand Prix, “Great Button” clinched his first ever F1 World Drivers’ Championship after finishing 5th place in the race with a time of 1h32:52.086. I’ve been following the highly talented Brit after watching some clips of his Formula Three performance, and when he became “the man” for Honda’s disappointing F1 team. The 2009 season with Brawn-Mercedes has only been a career blessing for Button after being overshadow by F1 sensation and fellow countryman, Lewis Hamilton, and Spain’s Fernando Alonso. Button responded to his critics by ripping through the competition – winning  the first two GPs and then winning four more GPs in a row. Button has 11 top-5 finishes for the 2009 season.

In addition, Brawn-Mercedes clinched their first ever F1 Constructors’ Championship in the team’s first year. Mark Webber finished the Brazilian GP first with a time of 1h32:23.081.

Scot Lafavor 'Versus' Original 24 x 18 Inches $1,500

Here are some really well done pieces from the upcoming Andeken Gallery show by artist Scot Lefavor. The above painting is called ‘Versus’, it is acrylic, spray paint and enamel on a 24 x 18 inch panel for $1,500. (just found these paintings on Scot’s site for $800 each including ‘Versus’. The painting below is called ‘Modern Day Role Models For Your Teenage Daughters’ it too is acrylic, spray paint and enamel on a 24 x 18 inch panel for $800. There are some more really nice pieces on his site! I am not sure who is who but the reference is to Lindsay’s, Britney’s and or Paris’ recent clothing malfunctions. HAHA funny shit indeed. I think Brit is on the left and Lilo is on the right?! If it even matters.

Um, OK… I know The Museum de Robert Pattinson is bad and all but I don’t think it can get much worse than a Rob-O-Lantern.  Just promise me, you won’t tell my sis, cause she loves her some Rob & she is The Master of The Pumpkin Carving.  No, seriously!  She’s awesome!  She pretty much wins almost every year.  Ummm.. yeah, my family has a pumpkin carving contest, that’s right I said it.  Ashamed Proud to admit it, too.  Got a problem with it?  Yeah, didn’t think so.
