You might be missing some of your old plugins, or simply wanting to install Shockwave. Either way, with Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard – You’re going to need Safari back in 32-bit mode to handle the old input managers.

Here is a short 3 step guide to doing just that:

1. Navigate to Safari in your dock and ‘Command+Click’ or, find it in the Applications folder

2. Right Click on Safari and click “Get Info” (or for the savvy, ‘Command+I’)

3. Check off “Open in 32-bit Mode”

4. Pat yourself on the back, you’re good to go!

This same process can be used for a variety of applications, you will notice all your old 32-bit plugins (Safari AdBlock, Glims, and Inquisitor) will be working again.

Il genere sparatutto sul panorama dei videogiochi è molto popolare, infatti molti giochi del genere per le più famose console riscuotono tantissimo successo.
Oggi vi propongo qualcosa, secondo il mio modesto parere, di fantastico: Phosphor, sparatutto completamente gratuito accessibile online, cioè per giocare non bisogna installare niente in quanto basta avere un browser e una connessione ad internet.
Per giocare basta collegarsi a questo indirizzo, aspettare che termini il processo di caricamento e poi iniziare subito a giocare; prima di iniziare a giocare ci viene mostrata una tabella contenente i tasti da usare sul gioco con le relative funzioni e se clicchiamo su Setting è possibile cambiare opzioni riguardo il video, l’audio, i tasti e altro ancora.
La grafica, l’audio e la scorrevolezza del gioco sono stupefacenti se teniamo conto che è un’applicazione web. Sicuramente questo gioco è un ottimo passatempo quando non ci troviamo sul nostro pc e vogliamo giocare a qualcosa. Il gioco è ancora disponibile in versione beta, quindi probabilmente avrà modo di migliorare in futuro.

Eccoci tornati a parlare per la prima volta di broswer ed in particolar modo di errori. Quest’oggi vedremo come risolvere l’XULRunner error all’avvio di Mozilla Firefox. Nel messaggio di errore che compare dovreste leggere qualcosa di simile:

I numeri delle versioni possono anche cambiare non vi preoccupate se non è uguale al vostro. E’ un errore che può essere causato dall’aggiornamento del broswer ed è risolvibile in pochissimo tempo, ecco cosa dovete fare:

• Andare nella directory principale e trovare la cartella di installazione di Firefox C:\Programmi\Mozilla Firefox
• Eseguire una copia di backup del file applicatio.ini
• Aprire il file con un editor di testo (blocco note ec…)
• Trovare la riga [Gecko] attribute <MinVersion=1.9.0.6>

• Cambiare l’ultima cifra del numero della versione in <MinVersion=1.9.0.5>
• Salvare il file e riavviare Firefox

Adesso tutto dovrebbe essere tornato nella norma, la procedura prevede di cambiare l’ultimo numero (digit nel gerco informatico) del MinVersion di Firefox. Una procedura facile e veloce che funziona, se avete problemi contattatemi e lasciate un commento. Alla prossima!

Mozilla veröffentlichte heute die neuste Version ihres beliebten Webbrowsers. Damit hat Firefox Release Nummer 3.5 erreicht. Zu den neuen Features zählen unter anderem ein “privater Modus” sowie ortsbezogene Dienste, die Google Maps verwenden.

Außerdem wurde das Logo ein wenig “gepimpt“.

I frequently post about the latest browsers that are launched into the market and as the title shows, a new one is about to emerge, or rather a new iteration of a distinguished browser.

Opera has been around for ages and has been classed as a small underdog against the likes of Firefox, IE and even Chrome even though that has been around for far less time.

I have dabbled in and out of the Opera pool and every time I found at first that I loved the ‘different’ features but then find out I hate the browser, but this time things have changed. Opera seems to be extremely fast – to the likes of Chrome dare I say?

I think this time I will be sticking with Opera for a while alongside using IE, FF and GC.

Opera not only has a long history in the field but also has a full 100/100 in the Acid3 test and has extremely handy features such as SpeedDial (which can be found as extensions for FF and is similar to the home layout of GC), also it has Opera Turbo that is extremely useful for people who are on slow connections i.e. dial-up.

Anyways, I really recommend this browser to you guys out there if you wish to experiment, or you may wish to wait until the final RTM has been released.

I have a page “one” with a button using Response.Redirect(“pagetwo.asxp”) to
go to the next page.

On page two I have a button using Response.Redirect(“pageone.aspx”) to go
back to page one.

When I view page one, select some information, then go to page two, and then
select the back button (using the response.redirect) none of my selections
remain. If I just use the back button of the web browser everything works
fine.

To get it to work like the back button, Instead of using Response.Redirect
to go back to page one you could execute some client side javascript like
this:
history.go(-1);

So you could have a “Back” anchor tag in your HTML that looks like this:
<a href=’javascript:history.go(-1);’>Back</a>

O uso de navegadores desatualizados por parte de alguns internautas faz com que desenvolvedores ainda percam muito em produtividade. Isso porque esses browsers não possuem suporte às funcionalidades e às tecnologias atuais para alcançar seus clientes, limitando soluções e criando dores de cabeça desnecessárias.

Lançado em 2001, o Internet Explorer 6.0 ainda abocanha 35% do mercado de navegadores. Infelizmente, trata-se de um browser que não acompanha o estágio atual da internet, pois apresenta falhas de segurança e limita todo o potencial de uma internet melhor para todos os usuários.

Apple is now allowing third party browsers on the iPhone.

Don’t get too excited, these are all Safari based browsers.  

When I can load Opera, Chrome or Firefox on my iPhone, that will be a real crack in Apple’s control over the device.

Microsoft is playing catchup with Google and entering the Cloud Computing space. Here is what CEO Steve Balmer had to say about it:

 “We need a new operating system designed for the cloud and we will introduce one in about four weeks, we’ll even have a name to give you by then. But let’s just call it, for the purposes of today, Windows Cloud.”

“Just like Windows Server looked a lot like Windows but with new properties, new characteristics and new features, so will Windows Cloud look a lot like Windows Server.”

“We’re not driving an agenda towards being service providers, but we’ve gotta build a service that is Windows in the cloud.”

Microsoft probably feeds the need to respond to Google’s new browser, Chrome.  What I’m hearing about Chrome is that isn’t so much as a entry into the browser market, but a platform for more robust “cloud” based apps such as Google Documents.

One of the exisiting theories is that Chrome is the first componet of a Google OS.  Chrome is supposed to be the interface to the applications.  If you look under the hood of Chrome, it is built more like an OS than a browser.  

All it will need is a thin layer to access the hardware (boot, and then interface with video/storage/audio/periferal I/O(USB for a start)/network interfaces)  and it’s pretty much good to go.

This would a thin client model with most of the applications out in the cloud, and as much of the data as well.

It seems that Microsoft is taking this serious enough to announce their own cloud base computing plan.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

在速度穩定性上表現很搶眼 

Sunspider JavaScript Benchmark 的速度約與FX最新的Tracemonkey技術
(目前開發中尚未釋出)一樣快，他們都比FX3.0官方版快了約一倍

在一般網頁上 Google Chrome表現比最快的FX社群版(ayakawa)還要快一點點

還有一點就是Google Chrome的啟動速度很快 (對於瀏覽器或webap來說很吃香)

穩定性嘛 Chrome還沒有當過 (不過使用Chrome時WindowsXP倒是當過一次)
如果Chrome分頁當了 分頁獨立不會影響其他分頁應該可以減少一些傷害

再來是瀏覽區域的比較(比較用的FX是我自己用的版本)
第一張是 標頭含分頁列

可以看到Google Chrome比用了Personal menu的FX省下的空間還要大一點
(不過分頁列我自己可以另外透過stylish弄成垂直瀏覽空間就會比Google Chrome大一些) 

第二張 狀態列

可以看到 Google Chrome只佔了左下角一個小區域顯示狀態
在滑鼠移到連結上或是網頁讀取中才會出現(還帶有淡入淡出的特效)
而FX靠著autoHidestatusbar也可以作到類似功能，但FX佔了一整列的空間是有一點浪費

第三張 搜尋列+設定按鈕

FX靠著personal menu 的按鈕 算是跟Google Chrome扯平
Google Chrome把Search Bar跟Address Bar整合在一起略佔上風(雖然整合在一起不一定算是優點)
FX也許可以透過某個addon達到類似功能 (我沒有太大興趣找就是了)

第四張 在用Javascript跳出隱藏瀏覽列的視窗時，左上角還是有一些基本功能可以使用
 

整個來看 Google Chrome在瀏覽區域明顯比官方版FX大了很多
(而我自己的FX跟Google Chrome瀏覽區域大小是蠻接近)

由於Google Chrome要達到分頁獨立的目的，所以每個分頁都是單一個瀏覽器都帶有一顆核心
也就是說開很多分頁的話，在Windows管理員下可以看到有很多chrome.exe的progress
把這些Progress佔用的記憶體累加起來的量會比現存主流瀏覽器都要大上許多
開5、6個分頁就佔個100MB也不要覺得奇怪

Google Chrome 還有個無痕瀏覽的功能(類似IE8的隱私瀏覽) ，讓你瀏覽不留下痕跡

在接下來就是一些Google Chrome的小缺點
1.沒有Smooth Scrolling的功能
2.沒有最小字型的設定(中、日文很需要)
3.書籤匯入、匯出問題
4.排版小問題
5.Google Chrome似乎不適合Windows XP ( XP 程式優先序管理很差容易被程式抓住CPU不放) 
而且Windows內執行程式越多越容易卡(偏偏Chrome每個分頁對Winodws來說都是單一個程式)
在Windows XP 內用雙核心CPU 可以減輕這個現象
根本解決的方法當然還是不要用Windows XP，等Linux版的Chrome版本釋出

總而言之Google Chrome beta 表現的很好
如果不是FX addon中毒者，可以考慮試用看看。
