I’m a happy girl. I have some pretty brown boots.

Spent time with my Mom shopping on Sunday. We strolled through the many shops of Montgomery Village in Santa Rosa trying on cozy bulky sweaters and velvet jackets.

I’ve never been into an Aerosoles store but Mom is a fan so in we went. I’ve been checking out boots for weeks now so I definitely know what I like.

And I liked these boots. Nice line. A bit of heel but not too much.

Once I put them on I didn’t want to take them off. Comfy.

And affordable. Mostly because they’re not made of real leather. But I can forgive that because they’re just so darn wearable!

The Aerosole Lasticity Boot. Mom offered to purchase them as an early Christmas present. Thanks Mom!

Wore them to work today. Paired them with my new chunky cozy orange sweater. Felt like a million bucks.

A shopping success story!

With summer long gone and the cool weather taking over… it’s boot season. Over-the-knee boots are my absolute favorite. Pair them with tights and a dress or leggings, a tunic, cardigan and scarf or even jeans, a loose casual t-shirt and leather jacket. You can dress them up or dress them down… You can’t go wrong either way.

This does remind me that I can definitely see that American influence in the way men dressed in Stockholm, that preppy, relaxed but grown up look perfected. I dare say they do it better than the Americans.

Interesting how Christian’s outfit oozes a more grown up look than the outfit on Mathas, yet when you look closer at the individual items of clothing, Christian’s actually wearing a pair of jean with a pale denim shirt! Also note worthy is just the 1 roll on the jeans, not 2, which seems to be norm.

So I was looking over some photos from The Serpentine Gallery’s Summer Party (July 9th) when I came upon some photos of Pharrell Williams, a man who I consider somewhat of a style icon. At first, I thought that the outfit was fine – not the best, but wearable.

AND THEN……….

Ummmmm…..WHAT???? I’m confused!

Maybe, just maybe, this could have worked with another outfit but…

Went to Plaza Tunjungan as always ^^ I should used that pink cardigan to celebrate my Valentine Day…but forget it…!!!!! Silly!!!

Today i met my BFF, Shienny…finally i can meet her coz i really miss her!! She had perfect holiday at Malaysia and Macau for hmmm…1 weeks and she gave me a great presents. Yup…plaid and lace tights…i’ll use it and show it.  * thinking about how to use it without too much colors*

The Migrator wasn’t the only boat that arrived at Club Penguin today, there’s also a treasure hunt for paper boats!

Some penguin named Rory lost the blueprints for the migrator by some how accidentally making the blueprints in to boats and sailing them off.

Heres all the locations of the paper boats.

Once you’ve collected them all then you have to put them all to together to make this blueprint.

And then as a reward you get the blueprints as a background. Just a note, the hat I’m wearing is no longer available, it was sold in the catalog about a year ago. Everybody’s crowding me asking where the hat is, I keep telling them its old!!! You can’t get it!!!!

In other news the game Treasure Hunt is under repairs. Billybob said there’s a glitch and once they squash the bug there gonna re-launch it.

There’s a new play out! And they didn’t give out the old face paint which is good.

My favorite part of the play is how the red ball replaces the snowball.

On to my own topic, the hockey rink is more packed than ever! Since the new play penguins are really in to hockey and chanting for there teams. And sometimes there chants were sort of stupid, like one penguin said, Red is better like a nice cozy sweater. And some reds said “red fire melts blue ice” and then the blues said “blue ice melts to water which puts out fire”. Talk about personifications!

I was so happy to see Blake Lively of Gossip Girl on the cover on the March issue of Teen Vogue. Obviously, I am no longer a teenager at a ripe young age of 22, but I still can’t help but want to drool over the pages of nicely bordered words and pictures of must-have items. I really like Blake Lively, she comes across as a really down-to-earth, sweet and mature young girl who is well-balanced all round. Her sunshine dazzling smile is another reason. I don’t know if I said this before but I’ve always thought that Blake Lively and australian singer, Delta Goodrem looked very alike. What do you reckon?

Had to dress up a tiny bit to go down the road to get this magazine at a bookstore that sells magazines. I live above a bookstore that doesn’t sell magazines you see. Lol. Every single time I pass my money to the cashier at the till, I can’t help but feel a tiny smidgen of shame at my choice of periodical. Guilty pleasure!

Well, it could be worse! At least I am not reading Sugar or Bliss, or worse… Mizz!! Lol. As much as I love Teen Vogue though, the magazine could do with more actual articles of a certain length to give the content more depth as I often seem to find only 1 or 2 articles in the magazine that are long enough to be considered as an actual article. I love the monthly DIY section a lot and look forward to their quirky, cute and youthful styled fashion shoots that I can see myself wearing *hides in shame once again*.

I used to read all kinds of magazines when I was a teenager. I was and still am a magazine junkie, seriously. Living in Singapore, we had really bad teen magazines, suitably titled “Teens”, “Teenage” and a music one called “Lime”. I turned to overseas magazines and spent all my part-time waitressing job money on Australian teen magazines like “Girlfriend”, “Dolly”, American ones like “Seventeen”, the now defunct “Jane” and “Elle Girl”, as well as British ones like another defunct “Elle Girl” (which was the best teenage girl magazine ever!!), Sugar and Bliss. I bought at least 5 magazines a month and after the exchange rate from Singapore dollars to british/australian/american currency (all higher than the Singapore currency!) and the added tax the magazines weren’t cheap either.

These days you can catch me buying Teen Vogue, Harpers Bazaar (either one american or british – depending on content), Vogue (UK), Instyle (UK), Elle (American), Elle (UK), Nylon (UK), I-D (UK), Psychologies (UK), Grazia (occassionally), Look (when I’ve bought all the magazines already), Australian Cleo (not so much these days as its not easy to get hold of a copy). Considering the average time I spend on each magazine is about an hour, I don’t feel that I get my money’s worth. If I could give em all up, I could buy about 10 Archie comics per month, and those things lower my materialistic desires A LOT.

Meh, my outfit today isn’t that interesting but when you are unemployed and stay at home most of the time, your outfits can’t be too crazy for hanging around a small fishing village near the sea hey! Until the weather warms up, I can’t wear all the strappy dresses I like in the way that I want without freezing my body parts off!

P.s. Is it bad that I am obsessed with Whowhatweardaily.com? I love WWWD Tv!! It looks like so much fun presenting the show!! Does anyone watch that?
