different paint ideasDifferent Paint Kinds

In this day and age there are so many different paints to choose from that anybody that only slightly know what to choose can walk away with a headache. There are two major categories in which paint falls in and that is oil based and water based. Stains and also varnishes also fall in these same categories.

Paints that are oild based come in gloss, semi gloss, or matte. Oil based paint happens to wear well and makes for a good cleaning surface. It is good to use oil based paint on doors, windows, or jsut about anywhere that needs to have a finish that provides a protection. If you need a good washable surface you can also use oil based paint on ceilings and also on walls. It is never a good idea to paint over top of wallpaper because it makes it harder to remove from the wall.Click Here!

Water based paint is much easier to work with this is because the brushes and all painting tools can be cleaned using only water. It is the choice paint for walls and also for ceilings and for textured surfaces outside.

When painting any new surface it is best to use a primer. By doing this you will prevent any paint from being absorbed. It will also provide a surface for the paint to stick to. The primer the you choose should be manufactured by the same company. Also you can use a water based primer for an oil based top coat but it is not a great idea to use a oil based primer for a water based paint.

The number of coats the you will need depends on how porous the surface is, and the thickness of the paint you are applying. The quality of paint also has a factor to the amount of paint you will need also.

* Dewi magazine, June 2005

The debut opening of Roy Petley’s gallery in London caused an uproar in the West End, with people seen queuing down the street to get in. In fact, that wintry October night saw so many people in the gallery that the fire department responded four times to heat alarms going off in the building.

Roy Petley (photo: Titania Veda)

This dream of an art gallery began many years ago by a boy abandoned to a children’s home. Trapped in a dark and dreary world, even the beatings by his guardians could not curb Roy’s irrepressible spirit. “My escape was painting and drawing, the reality was horrible. I quite liked the fistfights but I didn’t like the beatings,” he confides. Becoming the first ever to receive a scholarship at the children’s home at the tender age of sixteen, Roy left for Brighton University but after his first semester he decided to go to Florence in the arms of a beautiful woman. His thirst for the foundations of art, well-drawn, well-coloured and well-painted works naturally drew him to the Italian masters of old; Leonardo da Vinci, and Michelangelo. Several years later, after living through his work in Italy, he returned to his homeland, England. There, he exhibited on the Green Park railings, a then melting pot of would be artists.

A chance meeting with the Duchess of Kent was the beginning of a lifelong friendship with the British royal family. The late Queen Mother and the Prince of Wales are collectors of his works, the late Queen Mother being particularly fond of his Norfolk landscapes. A whirlwind romance with an adoring public commenced, with sell-out shows following him wherever he went, from London to Barbados, Dublin to Dallas.

To satisfy his love of beautiful sports cars, three Alfa Romeos, engine red Ferraris and an E-type Jaguar once decorated his backyard. He even appeared on Good Morning Texas, flanked between William Shatner who “was on before me trying to promote a video game for Star Wars”, and a piano-playing-pot-bellied-pig who refused to perform. “It wouldn’t play the piano because it was camera shy”, Roy deduced.

Roy’s rags to riches story caught the eye of both the BBC and Sky Television, resulting in documentaries on his life and his art, and forced a change on his outlook on life. “I used to have people lining up to buy my work – but once the BBC did their documentary on me, they ended up banging on my front door trying to buy a paintings, it became a nightmare!” he exclaimed. Once dubbed the Best Dressed Man in London, this sort of major publicity was not in line with Roy’s solitary nature. In the early nineties, he chose tranquillity over fame and moved to a lonely farmhouse in the south-west of France. “I left England to become an unknown, to have a peaceful life”, he said. He quickly applied his energy to rebuilding his new-found home, which was soon to be featured in House & Garden, Homes & Gardens and Interior magazine.

the last of the sun by Roy Petley (courtesy of Petley Fine Art)

An impressionistic painter, he finds inspiration in his surroundings. In the summers, he is often found by local fishermen knee-deep in water, drawing models draped in flowing white dresses and adorned with wide-brimmed hats that Roy is known for collecting, or painting his neighbour’s children licking ice lollipops in his rose garden.

Self-taught, Roy experiments with all mediums, disclosing how he changes “mediums when I want to change my mind-set”. At his leisure, he moves effortlessly from pastel to oil, watercolour to sanguine. He speaks of each medium with equal passion, stressing on the ability to draw well being essential when working with any medium, particularly watercolour – “There is no changing it…there is only one chance”. He continues on saying, “watercolours are my reference for my oil paintings, an oil painting becomes a fuller version of the watercolour on a canvas.” He describes how Degas used to work with charcoal before drawing in the pastel, but prefers himself to draw with colour immediately. He is also is quick to illustrate that “pastel is a dusty medium and after a short period of working with it, I am always happy to return to my natural medium – oil.”

The subjects of Roy’s works are as varied as his mediums, drawing upon inspiration from anything and everything – portraits, still life, cityscapes and landscapes have all felt the touch of his brush in his paintings. “I usually have an idea of what I want to do before I begin, I see the world through my paintbrush and palette – all that remains to do is to recreate the image that I see in my mind.”

Whether it be landscape or still life, light and shadow are the basis of his works. There is a certain light and youthfulness, a grace and joyfulness that emanates from his paintings. He depicts an untouchable innocence that is reminiscent of childhood and days gone by. Although it may seem an old-fashioned and romantic world, this is Roy’s world as it exists today. Each painting draws you in, engages you with its subtle colours and soft lines.

sunlight in the dark canal by Roy Petley (courtesy of Petley Fine Art)

It is said that once you have had a show in Cork Street, you have made it in the art world. Having exhibited in galleries on the street for over a decade, Roy had reached a point in his life where he wanted to give something back. In his youth, Roy himself had approached gallery after gallery, carrying his portfolio, and had been turned away. In later years, the same galleries would beg him to exhibit with them – he wanted to provide artists with the opportunities he never had, with “a gallery they can trust, where artists feel comfortable”, where the open doors and laid back atmosphere would encourage artists – especially the younger ones. In the autumn of 2003, he did just that. “I started up the gallery because I was really fed up with how artists are treated”, he explained.

Petley Fine Art sets itself apart from other galleries because as Roy proudly states, “this is the first time an artist has owned a major gallery promoting work other than his own”. True to his word, Roy has raised the bar for the whole area by filling his gallery with only the finest paintings and sculptures from an international pantheon of artists. “We have famous artists, infamous artists, and also young artists just starting out in their careers – regardless of where they are in their careers, it is their talent that attracts us to them.”

It is this refreshing concoction of artists that gives the gallery its lively character and explains why artists enjoy exhibiting there. Neil Forster, an artist of Petley Fine Art and an established portrait painter whose sitters include The Prince of Wales, speaks highly of the gallery. “I thought this gallery opening in “the” art street of London and offering art with no over-intellectualizing or posing, is so refreshing that it must in time be one of the most visited galleries in London.”

Roy is also quick to point out that a lot of effort has been made to ensure nothing distracts from the paintings. His long-standing motto being, “the art is foremost, the gallery secondary and all emphasis is on the artists”.

Filled with boundless energy and enthusiasm, Roy floods his gallery with the same vitality he fills his paintings. Now with three galleries spread across Europe, Petley Fine Art seems to be going from strength to strength. As for Roy, does he miss the good old days when he was a struggling painter? “Well,” he laughs, saying, “I have artists ringing up at 4 AM telling me their problems with their wives who are jealous of their models. One artist calls up and says can I come see you now? I think, what’s going on here?”

CorelDRAW had its 20th anniversary just recently. If a software can stand for 20 years it couldn

CorelDRAW had its 20th anniversary just recently. If a software can stand for 20 years it couldn’t be that bad, right? But yes, it looks awkward and many people simply ignore it, since it is not “cool” enough. Its designer community isn’t large and the software itself has some disadvantages, which make it look a bit awkward. Let’s reviews some advantages and disadvantages of using this software.

Introduction

Why is that only people already addicted to CorelDRAW use it? Maybe they know something we don’t. In this article, I’ll review some of the issues with CorelDRAW. I think the developers of this software have created a sharp program, but not so user friendly.

CorelDRAW is very precise and reliable. All the tools give maximum control, but you must fight your way through to learn them. It’s definitely not the software that you can take for a quick spin and easily create great artwork.

The good news is that when you get used to its feature set, it becomes part of your thinking and can be a strong tool for creating astounding artwork. Let’s review a few pros and cons of CorelDRAW.

Er…How Do I Navigate?

First of all forget about the Space Bar equals Pan thesis. CorelDRAW has a navigator board but I must admit it’s not the real thing and most people don’t even know where it is (small box at the lower-right corner of the interface).

The easiest way to navigate is to zoom in and out to the pointer area with your mouse. This can be tricky sometimes if your mouse isn’t smooth enough. Sounds strange but once accustomed to this navigation technique you will get addicted to it. If you still feel lost grab the Hand Tool (H) to pan, and press spacebar to change back to the previous tool.

What About Freehand Brushes?

This is a real pain. CorelDraw’s freehand tools are only a concept but are nearly impossible to use them. Just try to do a quick hatching with the the freehand tool. You will end up with a mess, since you will continuously select the previously drawn lines.

It’s OK though, as this is not primarily freehand painting or sketching software. There are some other industry standard tools on the Corel palette (for example Painter) which excel in this field. But once again this is a week point since the core concept of the software is not to painting.

The World’s Best and Easiest Curves/Nodes Management

When you get down to the details you will be amazed how easy is to use the bezier tool and how precise its curve management is. If you are after vectorization then Corel Draw is great. Corel Draw is excellent software when it comes to vector tools. You have all the control over the nodes and curves with mathematical precision.

The right-click context menu makes vectorization so precise that technical illustration is easy to create. I take a deep bow in front of the team who developed this. This part is the strength of CorelDRAW from the dawn of vector software.

Super Fine Gradient Mesh

You need photo-realistic vectors? Just grab the super easy gradient mesh tool and you will make unbelievable vector portraits in no time. The Corel company has bundled photo-realistic art already in the version 8 clip art, and don’t forget the Hedy Lamar illustration on the cover of version 8. If you check the Corel community galleries you will find some gorgeous photo-realistic portraits, though the galleries are sometimes awkward and the community isn’t very exciting.

Highly Controllable Boolean Operations

I simply love this part of CorelDRAW. When you need to cut, weld, trim or intersect just open up the shaping docker and you have maximum control over the Boolean operations and the resulting shapes. Actually, you can base your style on these fine set of tools. Check them out for yourself.

Strange and Useful Effects

The effect palette is also a strength of CorelDRAW. I use these tools most of the time, especially the contour tool. Try some of this for extra options.

Color Separation and Prepress Goodness

If you’re working in the DTP business, CorelDRAW is your humble servant. It corrects your mistakes silently and makes color separation and prepress work as easy as it can be. The main concept of this software, the precision, has its word in the printing menu.

Screen Refreshing

If you want to spare yourself from getting upset, then don’t forget to press Command + W often to refresh the screen. CorelDRAW tends to forget to do this for you, which can be quite annoying sometimes.

Trace!

CorelDRAW has top notch tracing software integrated. It is quick, highly-customizable, and precise. Even if you don’t like other parts of the software, trying Corel Draw’s trace is a must. As a plus they have included a font recognition routine in the X4 version, which uses What the font! to find out what font was used on your scan. Nice idea!

Conclusion

CorelDRAW can be awkward, especially to new users, but powerful in the hands of a seasoned user. You must decide the right vector software for you.

If you are a fan of South Park, choose Corel Draw because all the characters, scenery, and props are drawn using this vector package, as wikipedia states.

Finally, below is some artwork from renowned vectorist Roberlan, which showcase the choosing a vector software platform controversy.

A few tips and tricks to help you cope with the pain of sensitive teeth and prevent the damage in the first place.

What causes Sensitivity and Decay in Teeth?

Your teeth (and mine!) are covered with a hard protective enamel coating. That makes them impervious to most things that we are likely to come across in nature, for a while at least. The problem is that when we eat, we enjoy a lot of sugar - so do bacteria. The more frequently we eat or drink sugary substances, the more fun the bacteria have and the more prone we are damaged teeth. The bacteria can be hard to get rid of because they protect themselves under a layer of plaque. This is the yellow or brown hard coating most often seen at the base of and between the teeth. You need to get rid of this. Sometimes a visit to a hygienist is required to get rid of accumulated plaque but good dental hygiene at home will help to prevent it gaining a foothold in the first place.

Those bacteria produce acids which damage the enamel, the body cannot replace the enamel once it has been destroyed. This damage allows entry to the soft tissues beneath (dentine) which is where decay sets in. This eventually causes pain, the only treatment for this sort of decay is removal of the infected material or even the whole tooth if the decay has destroyed a significant part of the structure. This requires the attention of a dentist. Even worse, the decay can spread to the roots of the tooth. This causes a LOT of pain (I know first hand about this one) and can result in the loss of the tooth if not caught in time. Once the roots are damaged, you are facing a long and laborious, not to mention very expensive, stay in the dentists chair while the roots are drilled out, filled and the tooth refilled or capped. You then have a dead tooth, but at least no gap.

As we get older, after eating a lot of acidic food, which we all do in a lifetime, acid erosion of the enamel takes place. This causes damage to little pockets of enamel leaving the dentine below exposed. Sensitivity can also be caused by regression of the gum line if we have been careless with our hygiene! Anything hot or cold making contact with those exposed areas causes instant pain.

Prevention is obviously going to be better than the often painful cure. Use of a toothbrush to clean all exposed surfaces of the teeth is a key part of the hygiene regime. My personal favourite is the Braun Oral-B Professional Care Total Care 8900 Rechargeable Toothbrush. It has a round head which oscillates at very high speed and does a great job at loosening plaque and sweeping it away. It does a far better job than I have ever managed to achieve with a normal toothbrush. This obviously only cleans the exposed surfaces, another favourite place for bacteria to hide in plaque is between the teeth themselves. You can buy little Interdental brushes to get at those awkward areas or use dental floss. I use TePe Interdental Brush Blue 0.6mm brushes. Those little brushes come in different sizes to match the gaps between your teeth. You might want to ask your dentist which ones are best for you if you don’t feel like experimenting.

If you’ve been attacked by a dentists drill in the past, you’ll know how painful and inconvenient that can be, as well as expensive. A few minutes a couple of times a day can really help to prevent all that aggravation. It also gives you a nice clean breath so you don’t have to worry about meeting the lad or lass of your dreams and scaring them away with bad breath.

What to do about Sensitivity

While gum disease is easily preventable with just basic attention to dental hygiene, there’s little that can be done to prevent acid erosion. A good solution to the problem of this sort of sensitivity is the use of a specially formulated toothpaste. I use Sensodyne Total Care Toothpaste all the time to keep that sort of pain at bay.

If you have really serious pain, and by that I mean something that drives you to distraction, then it’s pretty unlikely that any toothpaste is going to do much for you. That sort of pain indicates a serious underlying condition which needs the attention of an expert, i.e. a dentist, so go see one. You’ll feel much better afterwards and you’ll wonder what all the fuss was about.

If you’ve followed a regular regime of hygiene using this sort of toothpaste, you’ll probably only need to clean your teeth using it normally once or twice a day to stay pain free. If this toothpaste fails to relieve your pain after a couple of weeks, you really should see your dentist anyway.

I wouldn’t recommend brushing your teeth immediately after eating or drinking though. I’ve been advised that the enamel is softened by the acid in some of our foods and drinks and that brushing before it has a chance to naturally harden again causes damage. Safest thing to do is to simply not brush for at least half an hour after eating or drinking. Remember, there’s no way to replace lost enamel so the less you lose the better off you’ll be…

How I do the job

I just clean my teeth normally with the Braun in the morning an hour or so after breakfast and have a rinse with Plax, mainly because I like the way it tastes and it helps keep that breath fresh…at least that’s the claim on the bottle. In the evening, I load the toothbrush with toothpaste and spread it around the teeth without switching it on. I sometimes have to load the brush a couple of times, you don’t need to overdo this – a smear of paste on and between the teeth is enough. I then use an interdental brush to get the toothpaste working between the teeth. Only when I’ve done that, do I turn the Braun on and brush the teeth normally.

It may sound like a lot of faffing about but after suffering pain from poor hygiene in the past, I’m not going there again. A few minutes a day cleaning teeth versus immense pain…it’s a no contest.

Oh yes, I haven’t found that special woman yet but at least it’s not due to bad breath!

When I first began loving makeup, I found myself without a single brush. I didn’t even own a sponge-tipped applicator. So I needed some tools and I went to search out MakeupAlley for advice. I found it. Lots of it. Most people either had MAC brushes or other expensive brushes and that wasn’t in my budget. But there were a few lone soldiers who recommened EcoTools and I ran right out to the local Walgreens and scored a set.

This was the first set and essentially had everything I thought I needed. I still use mostly these brushes and still love them passionately. I can’t complain about a single brush in this set. Can’t complain about the price either was I think was under $12 dollars. These brushes are super soft, well-made, sturdy and so far, no shedding. Yep, good deal.

But EcoTools wasn’t done. They keep coming out with sets and brushes that I love and need. So maybe my hubby reads this blog and might see some things mentioned here that I would love to have. Hubbs, here’s a hint: I want everything below these words…..

To me, you can’t go wrong with a duo-fibre stippling brush. Who cares what else is in the set. It’s a skunk brush for crying out loud. Buy it.

Really loving this set as well. I think this would be great for mineral makeup users, which I might become myself. Also the blending brush looks like it might fit beautifully in my crease. I’m also a fan of the mini kabuki. Another winner in my book.

In the last week or so I’ve been brought to think about my philosophy of art several times (re

In the last week or so I’ve been brought to think about my philosophy of art several times (read: several times more than usual). In the ceramics studio this week we had a critique and one of the themes that emerged was that the problem solving process in which we discovered the sort of objects we want to bring into the world was far more engaging and rewarding than the actual finished object itself. Our graphic design class took a field trip to Fresh Produce (www.pickfresh.com), a local graphic design agency this week as well. They discussed their design process, which also happens to be all about the creative process (marinating ideas!). The Fresh Produce office also happens to be about the coolest office imaginable. All this talk about the process got me thinking I would give my shot at explaining my feelings on the subject – and the timing worked out perfectly with an assignment in graphic design, the prompt being simply “art is…”.

I decided I would do an illustration of the process. It’s ironic because I went through such a struggle trying to find a way to show what “art is” through one image – and that struggle turned out to be the image. I sat down and for several hours threw as many ideas out of my head and into my sketchbook, the result being that most of them wound up being crumpled up and tossed out (metaphorically – I think it is useful to keep the preliminary ideas around, as you never know when part of that idea will also be part of the solution down the road). This probably sounds really frustrating, and it can be.

But there is also something exhilarating about wrestling with a problem, and we’ve all experienced that feeling. Think about a time when you stubbornly refused to give up on a problem, because deep down you were enjoying the problem-solving process, as frustrating as it may have been. And then when you finally found the solution, you were maybe even saddened that you were no longer working on the search for that solution. That is how I felt with this last illustration. I am fairly happy with the final product, but the real enjoyment and the worth were inherently part of the process (as well as a couple of really late nights spent with wheat thins and a mocha chai latte!).

So I suppose I ought to explain the process for creating the image then if that’s where the art is, right? Once I had finally settled on a direction (I won’t go into detail about all the concepts on the path to this one, I imagine most wouldn’t find it nearly as interesting as I do), I took a whole bunch of reference photos, since I’m not at the level yet where that sort of drawing can just jump straight out of my head (I’m working at it!). Then it was a matter of making the four separate drawings from a composite of different elements of my references. I drew the lines in Photoshop, and once the line drawings were finished I brought them into Illustrator where I used a nifty little feature called Live Trace which basically turns your linework into a vector based image – as if you had drawn it in Illustrator to begin with. With the four drawings in Illustrator I arranged them into the final composition, focusing on creating a sense of movement from one figure into the other. I learned a great deal about altering brush settings in Photoshop as well as the live trace settings in Illustrator while working on this image – another reason the process is so valuable to me.

With that, what are your thoughts about process vs. product? I imagine there are some instances where the final product absolutely must be the emphasis, but don’t lose sight of the worth of the journey in getting there!

(p.s. If there is any interest, I would love to put up a tutorial for creating a good drawing brush in photoshop. Drop a comment if you’d like that!)

These pro tips will help you get runway-ready results at home 1. Pick the right brush for blo

These pro tips will help you get runway-ready results at home

1. Pick the right brush for blow-drying.

In this case, one size doesn’t fit all! Choose a large round brush to straighten long, coarse or curly hair; a medium-size one to add body and smoothness to medium-to-long hair; or small one to give short hair a volume boost.

2. Use a nozzle – or diffuser – with your blow dryer.

These attachments can make the difference between a good blow-dry and a great one! A nozzle directs air-flow to give you a smoother blow-dry and a diffuser allows you to dry curly or wavy hair without causing frizz.

3. Section hair before your style.
Ever wonder why professional hairstyles look so good? One reason is that stylists take time to divide hair into sections first. Use clips to section off your hair, so you can work in a neat, controlled manner – just like your stylist.

4. Make sure hair’s 100% dry.
Before you use a flat-iron, curling iron or any other hot tool, make sure hair is thoroughly dried – otherwise, the heat can cause damage. The one exception: wet-to-dry-flat-irons, which are specifically designed to be used on damp hair.

5. Tuck those ends under.
Make sure the very tip of your hair is tucked into your curling-iron before you roll it up. Otherwise, you’ll end up with what stylists all a “fishhook” – a small section that’s bent backwards.

6. Keep your flat-iron moving.
Move your flat-iron down each section in smooth passes with medium pressure. Starting and stopping, as a well as pressing too hard, can leave “dents” in your hair.

7. Place hot rollers the right way
If you want to add volume and wave, lift your section up, place the roller underneath the section and roll down toward your scalp. For waves with minimal volume, leave your sections directed downward, place the roller on top of the section and roller up.

A friend once asked me back when I had hair, “How do you know which hair brush is the right on

A friend once asked me back when I had hair, “How do you know which hair brush is the right one for you?” I never really thought about it. Over the years I’ve tried several types of brushes, combs and such and just simply stuck with what felt good on my scalp and left my hair looking and feeling healthy, but not frizzy.

So I thought I would check it out and see for myself which commonly available hairbrushes offer the best protection and the most ease of use.

In order to carry healthy, manageable hair throughout your life, you need to learn and practice the following tips early in life and never forget them. The main goal is to protect and prevent your hair from being damaged.

Brush and comb your hair as infrequently and as gently as possible (Your fingers will do the trick). Do not use a brush on your hair when it is wet and start with a wide-toothed comb first. Be sure not to over-brush dry hair. Never twist, tousle or wring your hair dry in a towel, but instead squeeze it dry gently using your hands.

If your hair maintains a lot of static, it could be due to dry weather, dry indoor air or a fine hair type. However, you can also get static if your brush has plastic bristles or tines. In this instance, switch to a natural bristle brush or mist hair spray on the brush and restyle. Handle your hair as little as possible. Avoid direct sun exposure and don’t over do coloring or perms.

Now choose your brushes carefully.

As I have found over my years of brush use, all hairbrushes are not the created the same. Some are best for styling; others are ideal for creating smoothness or curvy waves. A lot of brushes are available for specific purposes. Once you find out what your needs are for your hair length, texture and style then you are on track. Check to see which type of brush your stylist uses. If you like it, buy it. This selection could change if you decide a short cut is more your style.

Here are some examples:

The Paddle Brush

This brush is flat, wide and is best for brushing out long hair and creating straight, smooth styles. It can also give you a mini scalp massage. Because of its shape and size this brush should not be used to brush layers. It will never add volume, which is what layers are for.

The Cushion Style Brush

This brush is for medium-length hair that is naturally smooth or straight. The flat bock reinforces the hair’s sleekness. These brushes will make the most of box shaped bob’s, the graduated cut and a disconnected outline. It’s called the bi-level cut.

Sculpting Brushes

These brushes are great for adding volume to short, textured styles that need some movement. They are great for backcombing. The best hairstyles for these brushes include short cuts, round layers and texture outlines like razor perimeters and choppy ends.

Thermal Round Brushes

These brushes can be found in all sizes, including small, medium, large and jumbo-sized barrels. When used with the heat of a blow dryer, the smaller brushes act like rollers and create curl. The larger ones smooth out locks and add body. This is a favorite among professionals. The metal core heats up, shaping the hair from the inside out. Some good thermal brushes are Beautee Sense and Olivia Garden.

Thermal Flat Brush

This brush acts like a flat iron, smoothing and straitening the hair when used with the heat of a blow dryer, thus leaving it with not bend or lift. Whichever brush you use, hold the hair taut with the brush to create tension. This stretches the hair so it can form the new shape. It also adds shine and polish to your look.

In closing, be sure to look for brushes that have ball tips that are molded as part of the bristle. Ball tips that are glued or otherwise attached can pull hair and damage it. Good brushes are an investment; if they are good quality and well cared for, they should last for years and your hair will be much healthier because of the extra attention you have given to selecting the proper brushes.
