Political science students like us define politics as the struggle for power. Indeed it is a struggle for power when a massacre had happened in Maguindanao.

According to what I have read at ABS-CBN’s website, there were at least 46 people killed in the massacre. You can access the story on this link http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/nation/11/24/09/maguindanao-massacre-toll-rises-39

This incident is one of the bloodiest that happened here in the Philippines in relation to upcoming elections in May 2010. I can’t imagine there are people like them who really exist. They did not even pity those women and even the journalists.

But this kind of incident does not shocked me anymore. I mean, Philippines’ elections is always like this. There’s always bloody incidents involve because people wanted power. Power that they cannot achieve if they don’t kill at least maybe for some desperate people.

The news team for Telemundo 52 recently reported on Alma Minerva Chacon, a women who was terrorized

The news team for Telemundo 52 recently reported on Alma Minerva Chacon, a women who was terrorized by Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Unfortunately, she is just the latest in a long line of Latinos who have suffered at the hands of the ruthless Sheriff whose personal goal is to rid Arizona of all “illegals” and just maybe, all Latinos. Arpaio has repeatedly stated that he is breaking no laws and just enforcing the constitution by arresting more than 600 Latinos a year. But the problem with his tactics is that less than half of those arrested are even in this country illegally.

The most recent atrocity committed by the self-proclaimed “America’s Toughest Sheriff” involves a woman who was detained while 9-months pregnant. Alma Minerva Chacon’s case has been receiving media attention due to the brutality with which she was treated. The very same night of her arrest, Chacon went into labor and found herself afraid and alone, being rushed to a local hospital with her hands and legs chained in shackles.

Once she reached the hospital, nurses repeatedly begged the Sheriff’s staff to allow them to unchain the mother, but they refused and Chacon was forced to give birth while still shackled to the bed. At one point, the nurse asked for them to release her so that she could be escorted to the bathroom for a urinalysis, but even that request was denied. But the worst came once Chacon gave birth to her baby girl.

Still chained to the bed, Arpaio’s police staff refused to allow Chacon to hold her newborn baby and then warned her that if no one came to pick up the child within 72 hours, she would be turned over into state custody. Telemundo 52 sat down with Chacon and let her tell her side of the story. Check out the interview below and if you don’t support Sheriff Arpaio’s barbaric practices sign the petition at www.SheriffJoeMustGo.com:

THE STEEL REMAINS By Richard Morgan

Ringil is an aging hero, hiding out in the country years after his glorious victory at Gallows Gap which earned him a reputation that he’s living on, where he helped save the world from the scaled invasion of the lizardmen. He enjoys his life of drunkedness and having sex with boys. Your quintessential hero, sort of. But he’s given the task of finding his cousin, a job he can’t refuse as it’s his mother asking for the favour. So Ringil barges back into the city where his father rules, intent on making as much trouble as he can whilst visiting home, and goes in search of his cousin, slaughtering the slave peddlers as he goes (his cousin having been sold into slavery by a ruined husband).

There are a couple of others, a savage dragon-slayer whose brothers gang up with a shaman to depose him as clan leader, and a Kiraith, an ancient and alien race that fled from the world many years ago, leaving only Archeth the half-breed.

Ringil is really the hero here, although almost equal time is given to the other two. The story is fairly basic sword and sorcery, except that the sorcery is vaguely alien in nature and feels very SF in style.

Ringil is great fun, and he really should have taken a much larger part in the book. The other alien race, the dwenda, are strange and their world is weird, taking us away from the story to bring in a larger world invasion plot that is just an excuse for a big battle at the end. The dwenda don’t really fit, it feels like the SF elements are a bit forced.

This should have been an epic tale of brutality and debauchery, instead it’s finished fairly quickly, with the characters just about introduced. The sequel is already underway, and hopefully the second novel will see a lot more Ringil action.

Though vanity has to be put aside when someone faces a tragedy like Charla’s, she says she was never a vain person. “I was like a bag lady,” she says. “I’d wear my snowsuit, my winter coat and my ski hat on my head. Every once in a while I’d get dressed up and nobody knew it was me.”

Charla says she really can’t be concerned with what other people think about her looks now. “I’m the one who has to like this,” she says. “Not them. So it doesn’t matter what they say.”

The people who love Charla know that she’s the same person she always was, and she says that’s the most important thing. “I just look different,” she says. “Things happen in life that you can’t change. It’s a tragedy.”

The Nash family is suing Sandra Herold for $50 million. Though Herold had no comment regarding Oprah’s interview, her lawyer issued a statement. “All of Sandy’s hopes and prayers are with Charla and her daughter in this challenging time. Sandy has always tried to help Charla and wished her the best. When Charla lost her job, it was Sandy who provided her with employment and a place to live. Sandy hopes and prays for a full and speedy recovery.”

The Feb. 16 attack occurred when Herold asked her friend Nash to help lure the animal back into her house in Stamford. The chimpanzee ripped off Nash’s hands, nose, lips and eyelids.

Police shot and killed the animal. Nash has been hospitalized since. She remains in stable condition at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.

Nash told Winfrey that she is not in pain, but can’t breathe through her nose and has to eat through a straw. She said she doesn’t touch her face very often.

“I know that I have my forehead,” Nash said. “It feels like just patches of tape or gauze or covering, covering my face.”

It wasn’t until a couple of weeks ago, when an eye doctor told Nash she no longer had her eyes, that she realized she would never see again, she said. Nash said she doesn’t ask many questions about her injuries.

We almost missed our train. After nearly boarding the Track 4 to Denver, we travailed the maze of departure signs and miraculously found ourselves settled comfortably on the 8:00 back to D.C. We were repeating our journey of earlier this morning, albeit in reverse; from New York City’s Penn Station to Washington is a three-and-a-half hour trip. We had a lot to talk about – we’d just spent the day visiting Yeshiva University. What a day it had been. We had arrived early this morning with high hopes, even a little nervous. I was, after all, coming for my interview, to determine if I would get lots of money thrown at me to come to this school. And I was, as with so many other things in life, brutally, exceptionally disappointed.
The air was cool as we snaked our way to the admissions office in a big yellow taxi. Almost immediately, my mother wished me luck and rushed back out into Upper Manhattan – maybe she could smell the disappointment in the air. I was slightly early, so I got the luxury of sitting in uncomfortable chairs and staring at inspirational posters. The receptionist must have offered me at least fifteen laffy taffies as I waited for my ‘competition’ to arrive. That is, I assumed they were competition. The school can’t possibly give full scholarships to ever Honors applicant they get… can they?
After having our photographs taken rather unceremoniously (“Hold still!” “Huh?” Click. “Okaythanksbye!”) we, the honors applicants, were spoken to about the various scholarships and fellowships we would be eligible for if we came to Yeshiva University. Um, excuse me, aren’t these all awarded to students in just about any college? Well, ahem, okay, time for pizza. You may have two half-slices. Three if you’re wearing a felt kippah. Perhaps most discouraging of all, up until that point, was the large sign on the wall that had information about various faculty members. To quote:
WELCOME TO YESHIVA UNIVERSITY, WHERE WE HAVE HAVE HAD LOTS OF EXCITING CHANGES THIS YEAR, etc.
“Have have had”?
Are you fucking serious?
This nearly made me give in to despair there and then. I steeled myself and hoped it would get better.
While the rest of the group took the campus tour, I was lucky enough to get my interview in early. Two very important people talked with me in an office for 45 minutes. We talked about me, again, and what do I want to do with myself, and why would I want to go to Israel next year, and could you please expound on this thing you wrote in your college essay. It was nice – one of the interviewers was clearly very intellectual and we got off on a nice tangent about monotheism versus polytheism, the primary and second selves, etc. It was pretty sweet. She had pep, for a fortysomething politics teacher.
Then I got to sit in on MY CHOICE of THREE EXCITING CLASSES.

	First class: The Five Megillot.
I picked this one because I felt that it would probably make a good impression, or at least avoid a bad one, by choosing to sit in on at least one Judaic class. This, it turned out, was a mistake. The class was essentially a one-sided lecture by a man with a quiet voice, which every few minutes would force some poor sap who was actually paying attention to call out, “Excuse me? Could you repeat that?” Like an incompetent idiot. It’s a terrible feeling.
For those who were paying attention, that is. Just about every student in the classroom was using a laptop to ‘type notes’; the one in front of me was personally busy watching Step Up 2 (the shitty dancing movie). It’s a good thing he was, because I would probably have otherwise fallen asleep. Then I got to chuckle silently to myself as I watched him try repeatedly to move a text file onto his iPod, groaning and banging his fists every time it told him that moving such files was scientifically impossible.
We prayed mincha, the afternoon service, after that class. It was rushed and meaningless. This is what I’m paying ten thousand extra dollars a year for, as my ‘Jewish climate’?

Second class: Blues, Rock & Pop.
Well, I have to tell you, this title really sounded promising; at the very least, interesting. I walked an entire half-block to the music building, found the classroom, and waited. Pretty soon, in walked a guy with hair that can only be described as “Excuse me, are you Davey Havok?” He glared at us – myself and the other ‘Blues, Rock & Pop’ applicant. He informed us that there was no such class, and that furthermore there would never be any such class, and that we’d better leave soon, lest I kill you with the ridiculously sharp tips of my gelled hair.

Second class, relocated: Faulkner, Myths of the USA
This class was basically a bunch of students reading a story blown up on the projector screen, then analyzing the way that the little kids in the story asked their parents if they were niggers.
Need I continue?

45-Minute Shiur in the Small Wooden Room with No Windows:
ZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzHuh?

	Third class: Logic
When I walked into this class, the professor had already covered the board with long, complicated math formulas that involved a lot of backwards E’s and variables. I basically had no idea what was flying until the very end, when the professor started a new topic. “If Sally is not happy, and for every person x, there is a person y whom has been hugged by the same person that hugged x, then person y is happy.” We proved it, mathematically. My head was spinning by the time the bell rang.

	Dinner in the Sky Cafe:
From the title of this activity, I assumed that the Sky Cafe was exactly that – a cafe. Turns out it is really more like a cafe-teria. As in, a room in which you may eat. No menu, no waiters, nothing. Load of shit. I was ravenous, and personally couldn’t have cared if they were serving cold cereal. It was worse than that, though. Dinner consisted of deli sandwiches and pasta salad. As a vegetarian, I’m used to situations like this, and figured I would eat two plates of pasta salad and fill up on Coca-Cola. Problem: there were no forks. That’s right, in the Sky Cafe, there were no. Fucking. Forks. I was forced to eat pasta salad with my fingers. People were staring at me like I was some kind of retard. “Um, what’s this guy doing with the honors program? He’s eating pasta salad with his hands!” No forks. There were tuna sandwiches available for seven dollars apiece. I’m broke. It was awful. Fuck this place. I’m going home.
I did NOT get up at 5 in the morning to get a crappy preview of a lackluster school and not even eat a decent meal.
There goes my Judaism, I’m just going to University of Columbia. Jewish college, you had your try.

Police officers generally have broad powers to carry out their duties. The Constitution and other laws, however, place limits on how far police can go in trying to enforce the law. However, police officers sometimes go too far, violating the rights of citizens. When this happens, the victim of the misconduct may have recourse through federal and state laws. A primary purpose of the nation’s civil rights laws is to protect citizens from abuses by government, including police misconduct. Civil rights laws allow attorney fees and compensatory and punitive damages as incentives for injured parties to enforce their rights.

Police brutality: The intentional use of excessive force, usually physical, but potentially also in the form of verbal attacks and psychological intimidation, by a police officer. It is in some instances triggered by “contempt of cop”, i.e., perceived disrespect towards police officers. Police brutality is one of several forms of police misconduct, which include false arrest, intimidation, racial profiling, political repression, surveillance abuse, sexual abuse, and police corruption.

Police misconduct: Inappropriate actions taken by police officers in connection with their official duties. Police misconduct can lead to a miscarriage of justice and sometimes involves discrimination.

Types of misconduct: False confession, False arrest, Falsified evidence, False Imprisonment, Intimidation, Police brutality, Police corruption, Political repression, Racial profiling, Sexual abuse, Surveillance abuse

False Arrest
The claim that is most often asserted against police is false arrest. Persons bringing this claim assert that police violated their Fourth Amendment right against unreasonable seizure. If the officer had probable cause to believe the individual had committed a crime, the arrest is reasonable and the Fourth Amendment has not been violated. Police can arrest without a warrant for a felony or misdemeanor committed in their presence. (Some states also allow warrantless arrests for misdemeanor domestic assaults not committed in the officer’s presence.) Even if the information the officer relied upon later turns out to be false, the officer is not liable if he believed it was accurate at the time of the arrest. To prevail on a false arrest claim, the victim must show that the arresting officer lacked probable cause, that is, facts sufficient to cause a reasonable person to believe that a crime had been committed.

Malicious Prosecution
A malicious prosecution claim asserts that the officer wrongly deprived the victim of the Fourteenth Amendment right to liberty. To win this type of claim, the victim must show four things: 1) the defendant police officer commenced a criminal proceeding; 2) the proceeding ended in the victim’s favor (that is, no conviction); 3) there was no probable cause; and 4) the proceeding was brought with malice toward the victim. As with false arrest, this claim will fail if the officer had probable cause to initiate criminal proceedings.

Excessive Force
Excessive force claims receive the most publicity, perhaps because the results of excessive force seem the most outrageous, involving serious physical injury or death. Whether the officer’s use of force was reasonable depends on the surrounding facts and circumstances. The officer’s intentions or motivations are not controlling. If the amount of force was reasonable, it doesn’t matter that the officer’s intentions were bad. But the reverse is also true: if the officer had good intentions, but used unreasonable force, the excessive force claim will not be dismissed.

Failure to Intervene
Officers have a duty to protect individuals from constitutional violations by fellow officers. Therefore, an officer who witnesses a fellow officer violating an individual’s constitutional rights may be liable to the victim for failing to intervene.

There must be some kind of record or achievement shrouded in pride and success of which the public has no knowledge to justify the magnitude of blatant wrongdoing perpetrated by law enforcement this year.

In this latest episode, a 20-year-old San Jose college student has become the latest in an expanding list of “statistics,” shedding more light on an issue that is becoming more visible by the instance.

Phuong Ho was viciously assaulted by San Jose P.D.; beaten over 10 times with a nightstick, with the final blow delivered via taser blast, provided for good measure.

Officers were responding to a scuffle between Ho and his roommate, Jeremy Suftin, whom admitted to putting soap on the young student’s steak. Ho responded by picking up a steak knife, proclaiming that Suftin would have been killed in his home country for showing such disrespect.

The first blow was delivered as the 200 lb student bent over to collect his glasses from the floor.

The Vietnamese man pleaded his situation to the police officer to no avail. The official report for the incident says the officers could not understand him due to his accent.

**EDITOR: Now these are things you will NEVER hear about on regular secular ( aka Zionsit) media outlets whether tv, online or print! It is very apparant that true Torah believing jews are totally opposed to Zionists, “jews” who follow the Talmud and the state of “Israel”. In ancient times there was NEVER a Star of David.. it is NOT an ancient Hebrew symbol but a satanic hexagram!! Zionism is a political agenda and a religious agenda – howeer not a Jewish agenda. The “religion” Zionists follow is not Yah’s laws but Babylonian Kabballah or Jewish Mysticism ~ which was also what the Pharisees and Sadducees in Yahushua’s day adhered to . Now again what did Yahushua call those Pharisees? Brood of vipers! The problem with mainstream Christianity is that they have been suckered into believing that ISRAEL the nation is Gods Chosen ones – and that is simply NOT true! They are encouraged to support the state of Israel and send money /donations etc when what they are really doing is supporting the adversary ! If there are any Christians reading this that are not aware of this deception- Please wake up!! Research and find out if what i am saying here is truth!! **

On Friday, Oct 30, 2009, Torah true Jews demonstrated in Central Park, New York City, to protest while Mr. Nir Barkat, the so called Mayor of Jerusalem, head a press conference in the ‘Tavern on the Green’. Barakat is personally visiting New York to run in the New York City Marathon, to attract tourism to the occupied Jerusalem. Orthodox Jews declared that the State of “Israel” and its representatives hijacked Judaism and stole the identity of the Jewish people. It denies Jewish teachings which forbid the existence of a Jewish State. It occupies the land of the Palestinian people and oppresses the religious Jewish communities in Jerusalem, as well, because of their opposition to the Zionist philosophy and the State of “Israel”.

The Jewish outcry on the occupation of Gaza

Statement prepared by Neturei Karta International, Jews United Against Zionism, for the “End the Siege of Gaza Rally” in Washington, D.C., June 6, 2009 in solidarity on the 42nd anniversary of Israel’s seizure of Gaza.

With the help of the Almighty, we have come here to participate and stand in solidarity in expressing the pain of the Palestinian people, who have been wronged and robbed, especially on this day 42 years ago.

We sympathize with their plight, and we are embarrssed and humiliated that such crimes have been committed and continue to be committed in our name.

Such crimes are strictly forbidden by the Torah, and they are also serious violations of human rights.

But it goes even further than that. According to the Torah, Jews are not allowed to have any state at all.

Therefore, we proclaim that authentic Jews around the world have no connection whatsoever to the Zionists, their actions or their state.

The name, identity and symbols of authentic Jewry have been hijacked and kidnapped, and its voice is seldom heard, because the Zionists persecute and humiliate anyone who does not agree with their ideals and goals. But true Jews throughout the world are strongly opposed to them.

The Torah commands us to be submissive, loyal and peaceful wherever we live. We must be respectful to all human beings, and especially to the leaders of the countries in which we reside. This is how Jews always conducted themselves over the centuries, and this is how truly observant Jews continue to conduct themselves today. True Jews do not involve themselves in disrupting the interests of nations. We condemn the Zionist attack against President Obama and other world leaders.

We, as Jews are required to be, and are more grateful to the Arab and Muslim countries for the friendship, hospitality and safe haven that has been accorded to the Jews throughout these thousands of years. This, of course, includes the people of Palestine, and therefore what is being done to the Palestinian people by the Zionists is to us so much more criminal.

We protest against the existence of the Zionist state in general, and against their actions in particular. True Jews cry out their pain at the suffering of the Palestinians.
We look forward to the peaceful and speedy end of Zionism and its state, and we look forward to the day when, in the words of the age-old Jewish prayer, “all nations will become one in doing the will of the Almighty with a full heart.” Amen.

A press conference followed by a rally of Anti Zionist Orthodox Jews, will take place today outside the United Nations in New York City. Rabbis from NY and Jerusalem will discuss the ongoing oppression of religious Jews in the Holy Land by the Zionist State of “Israel”.

What: Rally and Press conference

Time: 5:30 PM

Place: Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, 47th St. between 1st & 2nd Ave. NYC

Another Rally will be held in front of the NY office of the Hadassah Hospital, today Wednesday at 50 W. 58th St. NYC, at 4:00 PM [View photos]

Rabbi Eliyahu Blatt has come from the anti-Zionist community in Jerusalem to be with us today. At a meeting last night, he stated: “Over the past three months, the state oppression of our community has reached new levels. When the religious mother of a three-year-old child realized that Hadassah Hospital had been giving the child painful unnecessary treatments for almost two years, the hospital, in collaboration with the Zionist government, quickly turned the tables on her and blamed her for the entire episode. They held her in prison for ten days, and now she is on trial. The family of the child, in conjunction with religious leaders in the Jewish community, have accused the doctors and hospital involved of medical malpractice. They suspect that this was not merely a misdiagnosis on their part, but a scheme to test new drugs and procedures on a human guinea pig. This would fit into a familiar pattern in the long and tragic criminal history of “Israel”. The Rabbinical leaders of the community, viewing this as the “final straw”in an ongoing pattern, called for mass demonstrations. At these peaceful demonstrations tens of religious Jews were brutally beaten and arrested.

“Recently,”the rabbi continued, “Zionist groups criticized the government of Sweden after a newspaper in that country published a story about Israelis using the organs of slain Palestinians. Even if this story were a complete fabrication, we would not criticize Sweden, in accordance with Jewish law which forbids the Jewish people to be disrespectful to the nations of the world. But we would not be at all surprised if the allegations are true, since we in the religious community have experienced this firsthand. We have been dealing with these and similar criminal acts of the State of “Israel”for decades.”

The rabbi also spoke about the most recent peaceful mass demonstrations of the Orthodox community and the police brutality that ensued, where police cars ran over demonstrators. These demonstrations were due to the recent opening of a new parking lot directly next to a religious neighborhood. The parking lot is in active use on the Jewish Sabbath. “This is a painful issue for our community because it highlights the fact that the Zionists have come here against our will and they want to impose their way of life on us. Why do they have to bring their Sabbath desecration into our neighborhood? Our community was here for centuries before the Zionists came. When they came and began working toward their political goals, our community made it clear that we wanted no part in their state or in their activities. We simply wanted to continue our peaceful religious lifestyle as before and to live in a respectful co-existence under non-Jewish rule.”

“Brutality and vicious attacks of the “Israeli”police and soldiers, resulting in false arrests, serious injuries and occasional deaths are hardly new to us. Orthodox Jews have been protesting against Zionism, the existence of the State of “Israel” and its evil inhuman activities, starting from many years prior to the creation of the State. The Torah clearly forbids the existence of a Jewish State and forbids the oppression of the Palestinian people. Jews, in the last sixty years, have suffered more religious persecution in the State of “Israel”, than in any other place on earth. But their most recent tactic – using police cars to run over people murderously during demonstrations (remember Rachel Corrie) – is something that they have almost never done before. Acts such as these have motivated large anti-Zionist communities to protest in the streets.”

“When you see a government that calls itself the “Jewish State”, yet carries on anti-Jewish persecution on this scale, you finally come to the realization that this State is a sham, not a Jewish State. They have no right to, and they truly never represented Judaism. They have never spoken or acted, and they can never speak or act, in the name of Judaism or the Torah. This includes their words and actions on the international scene, as well as their dealings with the Palestinian people, with whom we feel a special kinship as fellow victims of Zionism.”

The police in Richmond California have arrested 6 people in connection with the rape and torture of a 15-year-old high school sophomore outside of the homecoming dance at Richmond High school.

Richmond High boast a multi-cultural group of students, all from diverse backgrounds and cultures. The students are from lower to middle class families, all hardworking and primarily blue collar. It resembles the demographics in many urban inner city communities in California, as well as my own community in Southern California where I live .

The following are the demographics for Richmond, California as of 2007…

Races in Richmond:

Black (36.1%)

Hispanic (26.5%)

White Non-Hispanic (21.2%)

Other race (13.9%)

Two or more races (5.3%)

Chinese (3.3%)

Filipino (3.1%)

Other Asian (2.9%)

American Indian (1.6%)

Asian Indian (1.2%)

Japanese (0.9%)

Korean (0.5%)

Vietnamese (0.5%)

Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander (0.5%)

The estimated median household income for the citizens of Richmond in 2007 was $50,293 (it was $44,210 in the 2000 census), and the stats for California median household income was by comparison $59,948.

Estimated median house or condo value in 2007: $484,000 (it was $170,700 in 2000) while in the whole state, it averaged out to be $532,300, in that same year.

The average price of a rental was in 2007 was $1,012, and the percentage of residents living in poverty was in 2007 17.6%. For more statistics on the demographics for Richmond, click on my source below…
http://www.city-data.com/city/Richmond-California.html#ixzz0VZipWJH4

The point being is that Richmond is at no level a totally impoverished or in no way a minority community, as some have so unfairly labeled it, due to their ignorance , but rather a diverse multicultural community where minorities, white families, and immigrants reside to form a community that resembles the racial melting pot here in America.

Only a racist would see it any differently.

It is in fact, not a white dominated community, which to some may seem like a black community, but that is just because they prefer an all white community over a diverse one that highlights several races of American citizens.Just old fashioned American racism.

This brutal rape was an issue of power, humiliation, and control, like most rapes, and race or poverty had absolutely nothing to do with it. The fact that some of the perpetrators were black, latino, and white is purely a coincidence, and not some genetically programmed predisposition to be a violent criminal gang rapist as some are publicizing.

If that were the case, then one would have to believe that all white people are genetically programmed to be high school mass murderers like the Columbine killers, or rapist and murderers that eat their victims like Jeffery Dahmer.

I am sure that the fact that they were white is purely coincidental. There crimes rank as some of the most reprehensible crimes of the 20th century.I am certain that these crimes by these non-minority killers had an influence on these rapist, more than any other possible influence.

It is only logical, based on the media that the crimes garnered.

The police are reporting that one of six suspects arrested in the gang rape of the 15-year-old girl outside Richmond High School’s homecoming dance will be released after prosecutors declined to file charges, authorities said Friday.

The name of the released suspect is Salvador Rodriguez, 21, and was set free due to a lack of sufficient evidence to connect him to the crime.

Five other suspects remain in custody. The San Francisco Chronicle is reporting that…Cody Ray Smith, 15, of San Pablo; Marcelles James Peter, 17, of Pinole; and Ari Abdallah Morales, 16, of San Pablo are juveniles being charged as adults. They all face felony counts of rape in concert and penetration with a foreign object. Morales also is charged with felony robbery for allegedly stealing the girl’s jewelry.

Manuel Ortega, 19, of Richmond is charged with rape in concert, robbery and assault causing great bodily injury. He is being held on $1.2 million bail…

Police on Thursday night arrested Jose Carlos Montano, 18, near his San Pablo home in the 1800 block of 16th Street.

The spokesman for the Richmond police said Montano played a “significant” role in the assault and police will request felony charges of rape, rape in concert with violence, penetration with a foreign object and a special enhancement requesting life in prison.

“The charges accurately reflect the severity of (Montano’s) actions,” the Richmond police spokesman said.

Crimes of this nature are unusual in communities like Richmond. The police and community are up in arms about the severity and devilish brutality, the like that are usually limited to the upper class, and wealthy suburban communities.

In 1988 Jodie Foster portrayed a gang rape victim in the Academy Award nominated film ”The Accused” which portrayed a real life gang rape and the victims quest for justice, which happened in 1983 in the wealthy and tony Upstate New York, which is predominantly white.

Jodie Foster plays the flirtatious Sarah Tobias, who goes to a local bar, flirts with some bar patrons, and then she is violently gang raped by several patrons of the bar, while many others watched, and did not intercede.

I would make a note that there were no black or mexican patrons in that bar to witness, or perpetrate this gang rape, and no rapist there was poverty-stricken, debunking any suggestion that this rape and torture is in any way due to race or poverty issues.

The real name of the real life gang rape victim portrayed by Foster, is Cheryl Ann Araujo. Click the link to find out more about Cheryls’ gang rape…

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheryl_Araujo

The racial demographics of New Bedford, the actual site of the rape portrayed in the ‘Accused’ movie is… 78.86% White, 4.39% African American, 0.62% Native American, 0.65% Asian, 0.05% Pacific Islander, 9.51% from other races, and 5.92% from two or more races…

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Bedford,_Massachusetts

This case is simply human brutality, which knows no racial boundaries, and the mere suggestion of that as even a reason for this violent rape, is patently offensive.

Here is a link to a review of the movie, which intelligently juxtaposes the Sarah Tobias Upper New York gang rape by white men against a single white female, to the gang rape of this 15-year-old Richmond High school student…

http://www.xomba.com/movie_review_accused_starring_academy_award_winner_jodie_foster

By the way, Jodie Foster won the Oscar for best actress for her portrayal of gang rape victim Sarah Tobias, which was great for Jodie, but may have sent the wrong message to the public, and may have influenced this gang rape in Richmond, unwittingly.

In 2005, Samuel L. Jackson portrayed Richmond High school’s controversial basketball Coach Ken Carter, who made national attention when the Richmond High team was well on its way to the 1999 State Championship, when he received the low grades of his players. Coach Carter locked the gym and benched the whole team for poor grades.

Coach Carter received some praise and much more criticism for his decision.

The name of the movie was ”Coach Carter”…http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0393162/

In an interview Coach Carter gave on CNN Friday, Carter spoke by telephone to Richmond High School Senior Class President Gina Saechad. He promised Saechad he would return to the school to help.

When asked about his reaction to the gang rape, he told CNN that he could see it coming when he coached at the school 10 years ago.

“Someone (at the school) was asleep at the wheel,” he said.

He went on to tell Class President Gina Saechad that you are not what people think about you, but you are what you think about yourself…

He is arranging a fund-raiser in support of the gang rape victim, and vows to help out with the students at Richmond High, which holds a special place in his heart.

It would make a great impression on the students if they can see a role model and a leader in society that has come from their community, and had a positive, yet challenging experience there as an educator.

Who knows, maybe he can convince Samuel Jackson to stop by the school and deliver a talk about self esteem , love and compassion for your fellow-man, in any given circumstance. A visit by a movie star and the subject of a hit movie, Ken Carter could make a positive impression on the Richmond High students.

In closing, the only issue here is discipline, and compassion, which seems to be lacking in some of the students involved in this horrendously brutal crime against humanity.

As illustrated by the Jodie Foster movie, this type of barbaric behavior is not endemic to poverty or race as some media, and faux liberal political cartel blogs might want to portray it, it is simply a case of human brutality that no race of people is immune to,across the board. Any one perpetuating this myth, is a liar.

LANGLEY, B.C. — Police in Langley are investigating after a woman kicked a man in the groin so hard

LANGLEY, B.C. — Police in Langley are investigating after a woman kicked a man in the groin so hard he lost a testicle — the latest in a series of similar assaults.

“I just want to know what her problem is,” victim Anthony Clark, 22, said this week. “People like her shouldn’t be on the streets.”

Mr. Clark was walking in the Brookswood area of Langley in early September when he passed his assailant on the sidewalk.

“I was looking down and then I took a passing glance and saw her walk up to me, holding a condom” he said.

That’s when the young woman inexplicably kicked him in the groin hard enough to send one of his testicles into his abdomen.

Mr. Clark said he wasn’t aware of the severity of his injury until later that night when he “noticed something was missing.”

He consulted his doctor and a specialist, both of whom believed his testicle could be brought down again with surgery.

It wasn’t until he woke up afterwards that he discovered the doctors were wrong – the force of the assault had caused his testicle to rupture. It had to be removed and will be replaced by a prosthetic before Christmas.

“My doctors say I will still be able to have children,” Mr. Clark said. “But at 22 that’s not something I want a stranger, this woman, to decide.”

Embarrassed by the situation, Mr. Clark didn’t go to the police until nearly four weeks after the attack.

Constables have told him there have been three or four similar assaults on other men, Mr. Clark said.

Langley RCMP said they would like to speak to other victims, although there have been no official reported incidents, spokeswoman Const. Holly Marks said.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian woman, in her late teens or early 20s. She was between five-foot-five and five-foot-seven and 130 pounds with a slim build and brown hair.

Before I go on here, I want to be perfectly clear.

The discussion here about the gang rape at Richmond High is not for haters of Chicanos and Latinos in California or elsewhere. Because I am not coming from hate. I am coming from concern for the raising and development of Latino children, particularly Latinas–girls and women. This episode certainly points to a major ongoing dysfunction within this group: the lack of respect for Latina women.

This disrespect can be found among other American minority groups. I don’t have to talk about how black people want to celebrate and “save” rapists from “lying” black women. And how about rich white people who tend to protect the boys and men who rape and kill other rich or lower class white girls and women. Let’s talk about Anita Hill, Robin Givens, Michael Skakel, William Kennedy Smith, or even Robert Chambers, a lower class man, but with aspirations towards the upper class life. It all ties in.

I have nieces and grand-nieces and -nephews who are bi-racial–part black and part-Chicano or Latino. Shall I diss where they came from?

I’ve already had to deep six a few comments that dealt with deporting Latinos and Mexican immigrants back where they came from. You know what that sounds like to me? Go back to Africa, n—–r. So fck you and the horses you rode in on. I know what you are.

This news was released on KPIX, Channel 5 in San Francisco at about 11:00 a.m. today. It’s almost 5 p.m. here, so it is nearly 3:00 p.m. there:

Richmond police arrested three more suspects Tuesday night in connection with the two-and-a-half-hour gang rape of a 15-year-old girl during Richmond High School’s homecoming dance Saturday night, bringing the total number of arrests to five, Lt. Mark Gagan said today.

Police arrested 21-year-old Richmond resident Salvador Rodriguez, a 16-year-old San Pablo boy and a 17-year-old Pinole boy, Gagan said.

The first arrest came shortly after the attack when police apprehended 19-year-old Manuel Ortega, a former Richmond High School student, as he allegedly ran from the scene of the assault.

Then on Monday, investigators pulled two students out of class at the high school and brought them in for questioning. One student was released, but the other, a 15-year-old San Pablo boy, was booked on one count of sexual assault.

Detectives were scheduled to meet with prosecutors from the district attorney’s office today about the case. They have until 5 p.m. today to file charges against Ortega, Gagan said, and until Friday to file charges against the three suspects who were arrested Tuesday.

At least three of the five suspects attended Richmond High School, Gagan said, and all five were arrested on suspicion of sexual assault.

Detectives are continuing to interview witnesses and now believe that between seven and 10 people were involved in robbing, beating and sexually assaulting the victim, a Richmond High School student, in front of as many as a dozen onlookers.

According to this article, some of the suspects interviewed showed no remorse for what had occurred.

These children are on emotional lockdown. They have no idea.

Already, some apologist for the Rodriguez man has published a video on YouTube attesting to what really happened that night, and Rodriguez isn’t responsible. SMH. It begins. It begins already.

More later.

Not only should the seven or eight guys who ran a train on this girl should have the book thrown at

Not only should the seven or eight guys who ran a train on this girl should have the book thrown at them, but the up to twenty-five guys the cops are saying who watched and snickered and got off on the entire scene for two and a half hours should have charges lodged against them. They were watching and encouraging the commission of a crime and not reporting it. There were even people who walked by, saw or heard what was happening, and did not report it.

The victim, 15, was raped, beaten and robbed. There were cell-phone pictures and videos taken of her degradation. She was lured into her fate. Tired of waiting for her father to pick her up from the homecoming dance, she went with a friend to the north side of the high school, to just hang out and drink in a very secluded, unlighted part of the campus. But I wouldn’t be surprised that the “friend” was actually told to sucker some girl into coming with him. Very quickly, she was liquored up and then her ordeal began. From KTVU, Channel 2:

Lt. Mark Gagan said two Richmond High students had actually been taken into custody Monday, but one had been released because there wasn’t enough evidence to hold him.

The other, who could be charged with robbery, false imprisonment, rape and other sex crimes, was helping police piece together details about the attack that took place for two hours outside Saturday night’s dance.

So somebody is snitching, but others are going to have to stand up.

“What we have gleaned from his interview is more information about who was there and what other people did,” Gagan told KTVU. “As people are interviewed and they realize the trouble they are in, they are going to start telling about what other people did. That whole mob mentality is now breaking down.”

A second suspect in custody in the case — 19-year-old Manuel Ortega, a former student at Richmond High — was arrested shortly after the incident. He faces charges of rape, robbery and false imprisonment in the case. His bail has been set at $800,000.

By the time the cops rescued the girl, she was bloodied and semi-conscious. She was found lying atop a picnic table used for the kids’ bag lunches. Some of the cops admitted that they had never seen such a thing in their lives. The girl had to be helicoptered to a local hospital.

Amazingly, the person who reported the incident to police was nowhere near Richmond High School during the attack. The person overheard other people talking about the assault which was still going on. They called police saying the story sounded believable. Police responded to the scene where they found the victim.

Gagan added, “We are still speaking with her, she is helping us with the investigation. Her physical injuries are non-life threatening. We believe she will be out of the hospital soon. The emotional trauma she suffered is a whole another level. This is a life-altering experience.”

It always is. That child is going to need a lot of help to get out of that land of darkness. And if she is Latina, probably a lot of help from outside as well as inside of her community. Within the Latino community, though, in many quarters, she’s now a puta no matter how culpable her attackers are. Understand that I by no means label this poor girl, but her community will. They’ll blame and scapegoat her to save the young men who’ll stand trial as adults and juveniles.

That means that the Latino community–males and females–must change its backwards, life-destroying attitudes about women and rape. Ain’t no two ways about it.

The person who called the police was a young woman, a graduate of Richmond High, who lived a few blocks away from the school and overheard students returning from the rape scene, talking, boasting and laughing about it.

What gets me is this: what if the young men knew it was one of their sisters? their girlfriends? their mother? their grandmother or their aunt who had been so brutalized? Of course, they would be ready to get guns to go after the perps.

But she is no different than their mamas and grandmamas. And they don’t get it.

A $20,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the arrests of all the perpetrators in this case.

I pray for the girl to find both healing and justice.

Homecoming Teen Gang Rape The AP is reporting that on this past Saturday at a High school Homecoming

Homecoming Teen Gang Rape

The AP is reporting that on this past Saturday at a High school Homecoming celebration that a teen was gang raped in front of several witnesses who not only did not stop the attack, but they actually were laughing and enjoying watching the brutality occur.

Now, maybe they will all be imprisoned and they will get the chance to feels how it is to be gang raped for the sadistic pleasure of a bunch of large burly penitentiary cellmates.

They all sound like a bunch of little punksto me anyway. The following describes a report of what happened…

Police believe as many as a dozen people watched a 15-year-old girl get beaten and gang-raped for at least two hours outside her California high school homecoming dance but didn’t report it.

The attack occurred Saturday around 9:30 p.m. after the girl had left the dance and was waiting for a ride from her father. She saw a male student she knew, who took her to a dark alley behind one of the school buildings, Richmond police said.

Police said alcohol was consumed but were awaiting toxicology tests.

The male student and about six others began raping and beating the girl. As she struggled, more than a dozen witnesses passed by or watched what was going on. The ordeal lasted 2 to 2 1/2 hours, police said.

Police Lt. Mark Gagan said today “This is just a horrific crime,…She was raped, beaten, robbed and dehumanized by several suspects who were obviously OK enough with it to behave that way in each other’s presence,”…

She was airlifted to a local hospital in critical condition. Her condition has since been upgraded to stable, police said.

The officers detained a man who was seen running from the high school shortly after the attack. 19-year-old Manuel Ortega, a former student at Richmond High, was arrested shortly after the incident. He faces charges of rape, robbery and false imprisonment in the case. His bail has been set at $800,000

Police Chief Chris Magnus released a statement Monday in which he called the case, startling, horrific and sickening.

“Our assumption is that when parents bring the kids to the school, to the dance, that they also arrange for a safe ride back,” said spokesman Marin Trujillo. “If kids wish to leave the dance in the middle of the dance, we assume they have a safe ride back. There’s a limit to what we can do.”

Investigators were questioning two students Monday evening at the police station in Richmond, a city of 104,000 16 miles northeast of San Francisco.

Let’s hope that these young men that victimized this young lady are taken away from society, and through personal experience on the receiving end of a rape, that they can get counseling after they learn not to rape and torture ever again, if that is a possibility.

I hope the young lady receives the counseling and love that she will need for years to come, as she suffers from the effects of the brutality she endured.
