En Estados Unidos hay estudios que señalan que los adolescentes están yendo cada vez más a los cines. Que es el segmento en alza y el más fiel. Los estudios de mercado serán fríos, pero esta vez apuntaron. Porque la saga Crepúsculo, escrita por Stephenie H. Meyer y que hasta la fecha consta de cuatro libros -y un quinto prometido por la autora- se ha convertido en un fenómeno al saltar a la pantalla grande, que partió en el cine con Crepúsculo (2008) y que tiene a su secuela, Luna nueva, literalmente arrasando en el mundo. Y el fenómeno se instala desde este Miercoles en Chile, con 69 copias en 90 salas de todo el país. El aperitivo de que acá también va a arrasar se comprobó este Martes, con seis funciones en Cine Hoyts La Reina que, a tablero vuelto, congregaron a 1.500 personas, mientras que para hoy  ya se habían adquirido 22.621 tickets con anticipación, como indicó la distribuidora BF.

La historia del romance entre la estudiante de secundaria Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) y el vampiro Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), que en esta segunda parte rompen y da pie para que ella se involucre con Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner), un joven de origen indio que también es un hombre lobo….

EL NEGOCIO DEL AÑO

Afuera, los números que está logrando Luna nueva impresionan. El fin de semana pasado, en EE.UU., recaudó US$ 140 millones y se convirtió en el tercer estreno de mayor recaudación de todos los tiempos (sólo superada por Batman, el caballero de la noche y El hombre araña 3). Comparado con los US$ 50 millones que costó, el negocio parece redondo. De acuerdo con datos reunidos a la salida de las salas de cine en Estados Unidos y Canadá, las mujeres representaron un 80 por ciento del público, y la mitad de la asistencia fue menor de 21 años de edad. Justo en el blanco de su nicho, a quienes no les importó las destructivas críticas que tuvo el filme.

En España el éxito se repitió: 1,6 millón de espectadores, una recaudación de 10 millones de euros y el récord de ser el mejor estreno de la historia en ese país. En México y Brasil también se transformó en la más vista en su día de apertura con 564.000 y 425.000 espectadores, respectivamente. Por eso acá la distribuidora está confiada en que desde hoy y hasta el domingo otro récord se podría anotar.

Mientras, los creadores de la saga ya piensan en seguir rentabilizando. Porque para el 30 de junio del próximo año se fijó la tercera entrega fílmica, llamada Eclipse, mientras los protagonistas (Stewart y Pattinson) están convertidos en iconos juveniles y llevan un romance fuera de los sets del que poco han querido revelar. Jugando y alimentando a la prensa dirigida a adolescentes, esos que ahora están erigiendo a Luna nueva como el éxito fílmico de la temporada.

El sufrido romance entre Edward y Bella, los protagonistas de la saga Crepúsculo y de su más reciente entrega, Luna Nueva, que debutó en salas locales ayer, tiene monopolizada la atención del público adolescente a nivel mundial. La cinta ya se anotó el tercer mejor debut histórico en EE.UU., y en Chile vendió anticipadamente 22.621 entradas. Ayer, Cine Hoyts reportaba hasta las 18 horas unas siete mil entradas vendidas y sus funciones después de las 18.30 en su sucursal de La Reina, estuvieron agotadas.

Así, su distribuidora proyectaba a lo menos 110 mil personas hasta el domingo. Pero aunque las cifras resultan elocuentes, la franquicia vampiresca sólo viene a confirmar un fenómeno que se viene gestando desde hace tres años: el público sub-20 es, por estos días, el predominante de la taquilla cinematográfica.

Basta mirar los datos de los estrenos más vistos de este año en Chile. De los cinco primeros puestos, sólo una de las cintas no estaba dirigida al público adolescente o infantil. Y en el top ten se colaron apenas tres títulos derechamente para adultos. La pionera  fue High School Musical, en 2006. Aunque se trataba de una modesta película para la TV, se convirtió en un fenómeno multimedial y llamó la atención de la industria de la entretención a una audiencia que estaba lista para correr a los cines en masa. En Chile, por ejemplo, según un estudio realizado por la agencia de medios Starcom, un 34% del público de los cines tiene entre 12 y 24 años. En EE.UU. el fenómeno se repite, donde los jóvenes entre 12 y 17 años son el segmento de edad que más acude a las salas.

“El público adolescente es el que más tiempo libre tiene y por eso van más al cine. Las películas dirigidas a ese segmento son las que mejor funcionan en Chile a nivel de éxito masivo”, explica Carlos Hansen, gerente general BF, la compañía distribuidora de la saga Crepúsculo.

Así se derriban los mitos de que internet y otras tecnologías le quitaron espacio al “anticuado” cine, y de que éste resulta “demasiado caro”  para gente que no tiene ingresos propios. Lo importante, explican, es que los largometrajes se han hecho lo suficientemente relevantes para el público juvenil como para que invierta el dinero que sí tienen en entradas para las salas de cine.

Además, en los últimos años, a nivel mundial, el poder adquisitivo de este segmento ha aumentado. “A los 13 ó 14 años, hoy en día los niños tienen muchos argumentos, gustos propios, recursos y, de alguna forma,  dirigen hacia dónde van a dirigir su consumo de manera independiente”, explica Sebastián Freund, productor ejecutivo del área dramática de Canal 13, que tiene en pantalla la teleserie adolescente Corazón rebelde y que prepara para el próximo año una producción sobre hombres lobo que se llamará Luna llena.

Según Carlos Hansen, el fenómeno de Luna nueva tiene otro elemento: se trata de una saga con un público objetivo casi exclusivamente femenino. “Un 90% del público son mujeres”, asegura, y lanza una teoría: “Tiene que ver con que el libro y cómo Stephanie Mayer (la autora) logró plasmar el ideal de muchas mujeres y por eso el fanatismo es tan grande”.

Fakt #1: See on süngem

Uhiuus “Päikesevarjtuse” poster viitab süngemale toonile oma tumedate juurdlevate pilvedega. Kui tegemist on lavastaja David Slade’iga, ei ole see üldsegi üllatav. “Kõik filmid on erinevad, sest me töötame erinevate lavastajatega, mis mulle tohutult meeldib,” ütles Taylor Lautner RT-le. “David Slade on perfektne kolmanda filmi jaoks, sest see on süngem. “Päikesevarjutus” oli mu lemmikraamat saagast.”

Ashley Greene, kes mängib vampiiri Alice, räägib RT-le, et Slade ei ole ainult sünguse prints. “David on tegelikult hüsteeriline,” naerab ta. “Tal on nii kuiv huumor, et mõnikord ei tea kas ta teeb nalja või mitte. “Päikesevarjutus” saab olema imeline, sest ta on teinud selle rohkem dramaatilisemaks ja õudsemaks. “”Päikesevarjutus” ei ole nii intiimne kui “Videvik” või “Noorkuu”,” selgitas Robert Pattinson. “Me oleme sõjas, niiet ma saan rohkem vastastikku olla teiste karakteritega, mitte ainult Kristeniga. Samuti te saate rohkem teada ka teistest Culleni perekonna liikmetest. “”Päikesevarjutuse” filmimine tegelikult muutis mu elu,” ütles Nikki Reed terve meeskonna vaevarikka treeningrežiimi kohta. “Ma pole kunagi olnud nii vormis – see on esimene kord elus, kui mul on päriselt ka biitseps. Imelik on võrrelda, millised me näeme välja praegu ja millised me nägime välja esimeses filmis. Terve “Päikesevarjutuse” meeskond on täiesti musklis.”

Näitlejaskonna uus liige Bryce Dallas Howard üritas küll meeskonnale kaskadööritriki ajal vingerpussi mängida, kuid ta ei arvestanud Pattinsoni kohmakusega. “Meil oli võitlusstseen, kus Bryce pidi mul juustest haarama,” naerab Pattinson. “Niiet ta krabas mu dublandi parukast juuksepahmaka ja üritas teeselda, et tõmbas selle minu peast. Fakt #5: Lõpp annab teed neljandale – ja võib-olla ka viiendale – filmile

“Videviku”-saagas on neli raamatut: “Videvik”, “Noorkuu”, “Päikesevarjutus” ja “Koidukuma”. Aga Ashley Greene andis RT-le tugeva märguande, mis seni on olnud, et arvatavasti tuleb viis filmi. “Me oleme lõpetanud “Päikesevarjutuse” filmimise ja kui “Noorkuu” läheb rahvale peale sama hästi kui “Videvik”, alustame me “Koidukuma” filmimist järgmisel aasta,” ütles Greene.

“Ainuke asi on, et “Koidukuma” on väga pikk ja palju tegevust täis raamat, niiet see peaks olema väga pikk film. Me mõtleme, et äkki nad otsustavad selle kaheks teha, nagu tehti “Harry Potteriga”. Mõlemal juhul, me peaksime neid juba filmima hakkama, sest, erinevalt “Harry Potterist”, vampiirid ei vanane.  Niiet me kõik peame näima samasugused!”

Gli attori del cast sono stati recentemente intervistati dai giornalisti del sito Rottentomatoes, che da sempre si occupa di cinema e sono emerse 5 importanti novità riguardo Eclipse!  La più interessante sicuramente è l’eventuale possibilità di un quinto film… non una nuova storia, ma semplicemente una strategia alla Harry Potter. Visto che Breaking Dawn è estremamente lungo e complesso, potrebbe rendersi necessaria la divisione in due episodi!

1. E’ più dark

Il regista è David Slade (regista del film di vampiri “30 giorni di buio”). “Ogni film è diverso, perché per ogni film abbiamo un regista diverso, ed è una cosa che adoro”, spiega Taylor Lautner, che interreta Jacob. “David Slade è perfetto per il terzo film, perché è più dark. Eclipse è il mio libro preferito!”
Ashley Greene (Alice) dice: “In effetti David è isterico! Ha un senso dell’umorismo decisamente all’inglese, spesso non si capisce se stia scherzando o meno. Eclipse sarà perfetto, perché lo ha reso più drammatico e teso.”

2. Meno storie d’amore e più battaglie

“Eclipse non è un film intimo come New Moon,” spiega Robert Pattinson. “Siamo in guerra, quindi devo interagire con più personaggi, non solo con Kristen. Inoltre scoprirete alcune novità sugli altri membri della famiglia Cullen.  E’ un film più grande”.
“New Moon lanciava il triangolo tra Bella, Edward e Jacob,” aggiunge Taylor Lautner. “Quindi esploriamo ulteriormente questo aspetto in Eclipse. E’ una situazione difficile per tutti: Bella è divisa tra due uomini, Jacob non riesce ad avere la ragazza che ama e Edward ha i suoi problemi…”

3. I licantropi sono sempre più sensuali

“Conosciamo tutti il sex appeal della famiglia Cullen,” spiega Nikki Reed (Rosalie). “Ma i licantropi sono completamente su un altro livello. Hanno un calore giovanile, confortevole, giocoso. E’ molto sexy.”
Robert Pattinson rivela che il fisico muscoloso di Taylor Lautner lo mette in soggezione: “In Eclipse, io e Taylor abbiamo un mucchio di scene, e dobbiamo essere gelosi. Quindi mi aiuta il fatto di sentirmi a disagio quando vedo il suo corpo: è più giovane di me, e incarna in sé tutto quello che una teenager vorrebbe vedere in un ragazzo. E’ dura confrontarmi con lui!”

4. C’è più azione

“Girare Eclipse mi ha cambiato la vita,” spiega Nikki Reed parlando delle ore passate ad allenarsi per le riprese delle scene d’azione. “Non sono mai stata così in forma, è la prima volta in vita mia che ho i bicipiti! E’ bizzarro se penso al mio aspetto fisico in Twilight e lo paragono a quello di Eclipse. L’intero cast si è pompato per Eclipse!”
Pattinson parla delle scene d’azione con Bryce Dallas Howard (Victoria): “In una scena Bryce doveva tirarmi i capelli, quindi ha strappato un po’ di capelli dalla parrucca della mia controfigura e ha voluto fingere di averli tolti a me, e mi ha detto di urlare e dimenarmi, è stato imbarazzante! Aveva questa ciocca di capelli in mano, e io gemevo in maniera poco convincente!”
“Eclipse è molto fisico per il mio personaggio,” spiega Lautner. “Ma ogni volta che ho delle scene d’azione, sono un licantropo, quindi sono in computer grafica. Che noia!”

5. Il finale è perfetto per anticipare il quarto – e forse un quinto – film

Ci sono quattro libri nella saga di Twilight, e l’ultimo è Breaking Dawn. Ma Ashley Greene ha detto a Rotten Tomatoes che i film potrebbero essere cinque. “Abbiamo finito di girare Eclipse e tutti credono che l’anno prossimo inizieremo a girare Breaking Dawn. Il problema è che il libro è immenso, e quindi il film sarebbe molto lungo. La produzione sta decidendo se dividerlo in due film, proprio come l’ultimo Harry Potter. Ad ogni modo dovremo iniziare a girarlo presto, perché i vampiri non invecchiano e dovremo apparire uguali a come siamo ora…”

El pasado  18 de Agosto comenzó el rodaje de Eclipse, dirigida por David Slade (30 días de oscuridad, Hard Candy). Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson y Taylor Lautner vuelven a encarnar a los personajes protagonistas de la saga: Bella Swan, Edward Cullen y Jacob Black.

La versión cinematográfica de la tercera parte de La Saga Crepúsculo, basada en el fenómeno literario de Stephenie Meyer, se estrenará en cines en Estados Unidos el 30 de Junio de 2010.

Junto al director David Slade, nuevos nombres se incorporan al elenco de La Saga Crepúsculo, incluyendo a Bryce Dallas Howard como Victoria, Catalina Sandino Moreno como Maria, Xavier Samuel como Riley, Jack Huston como Royce King, Julia Jones como Leah, BooBoo Stewart como Seth y Jodelle Ferland como Bree.

Volveremos a ver a los miembros de la familia Cullen: Ashley Greene como Alice, Peter Facinelli como Carlisle, Elizabeth Reaser como Esme, Kellan Lutz como Emmett, Nikki Reed como Rosalie y Jackson Rathbone como Jasper. Billy Burke también retoma el personaje de Charlie Swan. La Saga Crepúsculo: Eclipse se está rodando en localizaciones de Vancouver.

La Saga Crepúsculo: Eclipse nos trae también de vuelta a los miembros de la Nación India Quileute; a los compañeros de clase de Bella y Edward; y a los legendarios Volturi, el venerable aquelarre que impone leyes e imparte su particular justicia en el mundo de los vampiros. The thought of Robert Pattinson getting hurt is just too much too bear, isn’t it?

But that’s exactly what could have happened if anything had gone wrong during his and Daniel Cudmore’s big, violent fight scene in New Moon.

Cudmore, the Tom Brady-esque hunkster who plays Volturi vampire Felix, said some of the stunts got a little too close for comfort when he and Pattinson went at it.

“Because of my contacts, my peripheral vision was off, so there were a couple of times where I thought I was going to really hit him,” Cudmore recalled at the New Moon premiere in L.A. “Luckily, I didn’t.”

Maybe that’s why Pattinson seemed a bit nervous when they first began working on the scene…

“Rob hasn’t done a lot of stunt work, so he was kind of apprehensive about getting into it,” Cudmore said. “But the very cool thing about it is he really started to enjoy and embrace it.”

Christopher Heyerdahl, who plays Volturi badass Marcus, agrees.

“Rob was a real pro, and he was being chucked around like a rag doll,” Heyerdahl said. “It was hair-raising, but fun to watch. We got to sit back in our fancy robes and just watch.”

What more did we learn at the premiere earlier this week? Here are the highlights:

• Pattinson would jam with costar and fellow musician Jackson Rathbone in their hotel rooms. “We’d do ‘Let It Shine,’ ” Rathbone said.

• Alex Meraz insists his wife doesn’t mind all the attention he’s getting for being one of the shirtless werewolf boys. “She’s good,” he said. “It could be worse. I could be doing porn.”

• Cast members do worry that fans sometimes have problems distinguishing between the actors and the characters they play. Xavier Samuel plays Riley in the just-wrapped Eclipse: “We just had a great time hatching plans to seek revenge on Bella,” Samuel said of his work opposite Bryce Dallas Howard (Victoria). “I hope the fans will forgive me for attempting to kill their beloved Bella.”

• Nikki Reed insisted on wearing a wig for New Moon. “In Twilight, it was my real hair,” she said. “But I put my foot down because I went bald after the first movie.”

• Sweet-faced li’l Dakota Fanning, who plays the Volturi’s evil-eyed Jane, is really digging the dark side: “It’s more fun to play the bad girl than the good girl.”

Mia Wasikowska and Michael Fassbender are currently in negotiations to star in “Sin nombre” Cary Fukunaga’s (Sin nombre) adaptation of Charlotte Bronte’s classic novel, Jane Eyre.

The film is to be a period piece but will play up the gothic elements of the story about Jane (Wasikowska), a demure governess who discovers her surly employer Rochester (Fassbender) is harboring a dark secret.

Wasikowska will next be seen as Alice alongside Johnny Depp in Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, which Disney is releasing next year. The actress is also going to be in Gus Van Sant’s untitled project for producers Bryce Dallas Howard and Imagine’s Ron Howard and Brian Grazer.

I don’t think I have actually seen her in anything yet so not sure how good an actress she is. Ellen Page (Juno, Inception) was originally down to play Jane, but has since left the project.

Fassbender previously appeared in Steve McQueen’s Hunger, Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds and Andrea Arnold’s Fish Tank.

He will next be seen in Neil Marshall’s Roman action film Centurion and Warner Bros. comic book western Jonah Hex opposite Josh Brolin and Megan Fox.

Fassbender is a totally solid actor. He was spot on as Basterd and just seems to be going from strength to strength which each new film. I have no doubt he will make a splendid Rochester.

I am just really curious to see what Fukunaga will do with this classic tale. Shooting is due to start next year.

A while back I decided to poke around online on Twitter. Let’s just say some of what I found there makes me disgusted to even say that I am remotely related to the same human race or a fan of the same movies that these Twi-Moron-Fans are.

Twitter is usually where I find a treasure trove of pictures and other crap for all my girls on a Facebook thread I maintain, but there was this huge storm of controversy. It is pretty much a given that ANY Twilight fan knows that Rachelle LeFevre has been re-cast by Bryce Dallas Howard for the role of Victoria in Eclipse. Should I lie and say I am thrilled? NO.

Listen, I think whoever made the call at Summit is a fucking idiot and maybe they should have had a little pow wow before making rash decisions, but because I have not been present through any of this in Hollywood and know exactly squat about the situation, I guess I probably have no place in what I should think except that I am disappointed that Rachelle will not be Victoria throughout what her whole role would have been, although personally I find the way they have treated her deplorable whether she came out and spoke publicly or not. They tried to trash her reputation by covering their asses and to tell you the truth no Twilight fan bought what they had to say anyway.

This brings us to where I guess I would play devils advocate? People are asking why she wouldn’t just drop the other movie in order to fulfill her Eclipse obligations. Are you fucking kidding me??? Give up the chance to work with Dustin Hoffman and Paul Giamatti in a REAL movie??? No offense to Twilight, love the movies but c’mon they are not the most credible work that any actor can do or claim at the top of their resume unless of course that’s all they have. *Nans deflecting heavy objects being thrown at her RIGHT NOW*

Whatever the case is, a ten day reschedule for Summit couldn’t have hurt that much. Who’s to say if there hadn’t been overlaps with either Rob or Kristen’s movies? What then? Were they going to have the audacity to even consider replacing one of them? Forget Simi Valley, I can envision the Hollywood riots as we speak, starting at the front door of Summit.

So where is this note actually going? You know I don’t ever just write about a bunch of fluff you can read anywhere else. WELLLL…..While cruising around I read comment after comment after comment about Bryce Howard and what a conniving little snake she was, how she convinced daddy to put her in this movie because she couldn’t get any other parts *Nans picks self up off floor from laughing hysterically*. Apparently no one has gone and read her bio or they might have seen that she has actually worked and how in the beginning she tried very hard not to use her name for recognition in Hollywood, thus leaving DADDY out of it.

If you are going to attack someone, DO NOT attack someone because they were hired to do a job. I mean, Twilight may be the hottest thing since popcorn right now, but believe me she can get her own work and probably much higher quality seeing as how M. Night Shamalan has had his eye on her for some time casting her in more than one role due to her TALENT, not relationship to Ron Howard. 

Ok, on to my next bone to pick. This one pisses me off more than I can say. Apparently, in some magazine Nikki Reed was asked why girls love Rob so much. Her answer? Because he looks feminine and girls like men who look feminine. Was she kidding or did she mean it? Who the fuck cares? They are great friends but Noooooooooo, the Twi Tards are freaking out.

They are making the nastiest comments of all about her that made me want to reach through the computer screen and rip someone’s head off, had that been possible, we would have had quite a mess that night. First off they said that Rob was ALL MAN, yeah I agree but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t look feminine. I don’t see it exactly all of the time, but he IS pretty to me so maybe that is what she meant and didn’t choose her words wisely.

Then the utter nastiness started. Stuff from “you’re just jealous you ugly whorebag that couldn’t keep him satisfied and now he’s with a real woman like Kristen” *give me a fucking break for once*, to “bitch don’t talk like that about our man all you can do is lay flat on your back and take Paris Hilton’s left overs, you skank”. Yeah, are you thinking what I am right about now?? As I write this I am getting pissed off again.

What the fuck is the deal and what did she do? It’s not like she called him a total fag that needs to go DIE or something, my God!!! She said he was feminine which kind of equals pretty to me at least and quite frankly don’t shoot me, but in a few of the pictures I have seen, if you look at his mannerisms he does look a little feminine, but WHO CARES, he’s still hotter than the fucking sun and just about any woman on the planet including me would do him in a New York second!!!

What is it with people who make them think that they need to be so nasty? Ten to one it will not make them miss New Moon or Eclipse the second the movies come out and by then they will all be in love with Nikki once again forgetting anything was ever said and being total hypocrites stating how they have ALWAYS loved her so much and how she is Sooooooo beautiful. *let’s not forget what an ugly whorebag they thought she was*

As I wrote almost a year ago in defense of David Cook and Kimberly Caldwell, some things are just wrong and you have to stand up for them whether you like the person you are standing up for or not and you have to give them a voice where there is none. I have never been fond of Kim Caldwell and feel she is not a good person but in this case I DO like Nikki and felt she deserved to have someone speak up for her.

Now I am sure that no one from Twilight will ever read this and they probably don’t care what is said about them or maybe they do, but I hope they know that there actually are genuine people out there that care just about people in general. Whether they are stars or not has no bearing on the fact that I will stand up for them anytime if need be. I always try to give a voice to the people who don’t have one and need one at the time. I will continue to do so until the day I die, but anyone that truly knows me understands that’s just who I am.

On the eve of “Spider-Man 3”, I was literally excited beyond expectations.

The first two films had lived up to the hype and proved that this was the strongest superhero franchise around.

When I saw the first two films, I felt in heart that they emulated what was so great about the Superman movies back in the late 70s and early 80s.

The first one was the typical origin story where we follow the would-be hero as he emerges into the hero we all know. The second film then showcased what if the hero lost his powers and he wasn’t there to save the world and the ones he loves.

Just like “Superman 3”, “Spider-Man 3” carries on the tradition of that franchise by focusing on the darker side of the hero. The best part of “Superman 3” was the battle in the junkyard between good and bad Clark.

Sadly there is no scene like that in “Spider-Man 3”. But the upside to “Spider-Man 3” is that it doesn’t have Richard Pryor or that sadly conceived super computer as the villain.

The plot of the third film involves Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) finding out that a new person killed his beloved Uncle Ben (Cliff Robertson) just as he is about to propose to Mary Jane (Kirsten Dunst). That new killer is Flint Marko (Thomas Haden Church) aka The Sandman. Just in time for Spider-Man to hunt Marko down, an alien parasite attaches itself to the Spider-Man suit and Peter starts to have new found confidence and a new brash look. Another thorn in Peter’s side is a new Daily Bugle photographer named Eddie Brock (Topher Grace) who is after Peter’s staff job at the Bugle.

Meanwhile after a confrontation with Peter, Harry Osborn (James Franco) loses his memory and tries to learn what his life was like before the accident. Who are his friends and who are his enemies?

“Spider-Man 3” has a lot of upsides actually. The visual effects on The Sandman are dynamic and nearly flawless. We don’t get a lot of Venom but what we do see is like the comic book come to life. Then there are the thrilling swinging sequences that just seem to get more and more amazing. (pardon the pun!)

I really liked Harry’s story more in this film than in previous but I am really getting tired of the love triangle between Harry, Mary Jane and Peter. I think for them to really evolve the series, they will have to get rid of Mary Jane and return the focus back onto Peter.

Maybe have her finally make it big as an actress and have her move away. Then either continue the Gwen Stacy (Bryce Dallas Howard) story started in this film or introduce a new love interest like maybe Felicia Hardy aka The Black Cat.

Probably my favourite character in the film is Sandman only because Church brings so much depth and dynamic to this struggling misunderstood man. The scene with his distant wife, played by Theresa Russell, is utterly heart-breaking. As for Topher Grace, I could take him or leave him. He really never made an impression on me.

The film itself is weirdly paced, off kilter and some characters do things out of character. But for me the third film really came completely unravelled in the film’s third act after Brock becomes Venom.

That act just feels like it was tacked on at the last minute. There are portions you kind of scratch your head and go “what?”. It felt a lot like the ending of a Joel Schumacher Batman film. You know rushed, lazy and unappealing. It is such a disappointment.

Now that Sony has said they are going to make at least three more Spider-Man movies, I just hope the fourth film isn’t directed by Brett Ratner and doesn’t have Nuclear Man in it.

TERMINATOR franchise rights up for auction

No word on how this might effect Christian Bale’s already reported 3 movie deal for the new Terminator trilogy they had been working on. Seems unlikely he would return but that doesn’t mean his contract couldn’t be included in the purchase (or does it?).

There’s been a lot of speculation has to whether actress Rachelle Lefevre would attend the premiere of Summit Entertainment’s “Twilight: New Moon”. If you remember, she played vampire villain Victoria in the original “Twilight” as well as in the second installment, however, due to schedule conflicts, she was replaced with Bryce Dallas Howard for the third installment titled “Twilight: Eclipse”. According to reports, the actress wouldn’t miss the premiere for the world. She worked so hard on the film and she’s excited to re-unite with her cast-mates. Personally, I thought Lefevre was great as Victoria and very convincing. I think Bryce Dallas Howard was the better known star and producers now-a-days do anything they can to gain publicity.

Something fishy was going on with Robert Pattinson Saturday night.

The Twilight saga sex symbol went solo last night to the Eclipse wrap party hosted by director David Slade at Vancouver Aquarium Marine Science Center, which houses more than 70,000 animals and boasts a number of underwater viewing galleries to check out all the fish.

Why, what did you think we meant?

The many eyes looking for Kristen Stewart at the scene did not see her, though they did scope out Jackson Rathbone and Bryce Dallas Howard.

Rathbone’s band, 100 Monkeys, treated partygoers to a set, which we’re not sure if R.Pattz was around to hear because he took off after about 45 minutes.

Despite the fact that Eclipse will not wrap shooting until next week, with Wednesday as the expected last day, the stars can’t bank on much of a break. Shortly after Eclipse wraps, they’ll start globetrotting in support of the second film in the Twilight saga, New Moon, which premieres in Los Angeles on Nov. 16.

Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene and Elizabeth Reaser were among the actors who finished filming this week, after which they were quick to get out of Dodge, er, Forks, er, Vancouver.

Pattinson and New Moon director Chris Weitz will kick off the press tour in Japan Nov. 2-3. Then, they’ll join Stewart and Taylor Lautner when they hype the film in Paris on Nov. 10. Castmembers are also expected to visit countries and continents including Germany, South America and Australia in support of the film.

Twi-hards should also set their TiVos for Nov. 18-20, when Kristen Stewart, Rob and Taylor will each appear on Live With Regis and Kelly.

Los protagonistas de Luna Nueva estarán en España. El vampiro Edward (Robert Pattinson), la joven Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) y el hombre lobo Jacob (Taylor Lautner) visitarán nuestro país el póximo 12 de noviembre para promocional la secuela de Crepúsculo.

Los fans españoles de la saga de Stephenie Meyer están de enhora buena. España ha sido elegida como uno de los cinco países de toda Europa que el reparto de La Saga Crepúsculo: Luna Nueva ha escogido para presentar la película.

Junto al trío protagonista, Pattinson, Stewart y Launter, hasta nuestro país también viajará Chris Weitz (Labrujula dorada, Un niño grande) que en sustituye en la dirección a Catherine Hardwicke. Todos ellos celebrarán un encuentro con los fans de la saga que, a buen seguro, será multitudinario.

En Luna Nueva romance entre mortal y vampiro alcanza nuevas cotas cuando Edward Cullen (Pattinson) decide abandonar a  Bella Swan (Stewart) para mantenerla alejada de los peligros del mundo vampírico. Con la ayuda de Jacob Black (Lautner), su amigo de la infancia y miembro de la misteriosa tribu quileute, Bella intentará superar el abandono de Edward, que la ha dejado sumida en el mayor de los desconsuelos.

LOS VOLTURI POR ROMA

La secuela también nos presentará nuevos personajes, entre ellos Los Volturi, un clan que representa algo así como la realeza de los vampiros y que imparte justicia entre los chupasangre. Un clan liderado por Aro (Michael Sheen) y al que también pertenece Jane, el papel que encarna Dakota Fanning, junto a Sheen el fichaje estrelle de la secuela.

El clan lo completan Jamie Campbell (Caius), Cameron Bright (Alec) y Christopher Heyerdahl (Marcus). Tres jóvenes actores este jueves por la noche desfilaron por la alfombra roja del Festival de Cine de Roma. Allí miles de admiradores pudieron ver un adelanto de 20 minutos del filme antes de su estreno el próximo mes. En España Luna Nueva llegará a los cines el 18 de noviembre, dos días antes de que vea la luz en Estados Unidos

Lobos cazando vampiros en ”Luna Nueva”

Parece que hasta que el próximo 18 de noviembre, cuando Luna Nueva (The Twilight Saga: New Moon) llegue a los cines no habrá día que no tengamos nuevo material promocional. En esta ocasión encontramos mucha acción y el primer aperitivo del primer cuerpo a cuerpo entre el vampiro Edward (Robert Pattinson) y el hombre lobo Jacob (Taylor Lautner) con Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) en primera fila.

Lobos cazando vampiros, vampiros ajusticiando a otros vampiros y algún que otro humano, en este caso humana, de por medio. Estos son los ingredientes de los nuevos spots promocionales de Luna Nueva. Unos videos de poco más de 30 segundos de duración que dejan un poco de lado el romanticismo de los adelantos anteriores para dar paso a luchas espectaculares y acción pura y dura.

Luchas en las que vemos como la manada de lobos que capitanea Jacob sale a la caza del despiadado vampiro Laurent (Edi Gathegi) y de Victoria, la letal chupasangres pelirroja que en esta entrega todavía interpreta Rachelle LeFebre, a la que Bryce Dallas Howard sustituye en Eclipse.

Pero sin duda alguna el plato fuerte es el enfrentamiento cara a cara y colmillo a colmillo de Edward y Jacob ante su amada. Dos gallitos que pelean por el amor de Bella. Los tres forman el triángulo amoroso que centra la trama creada por Stephenie Meyer.

En otra de las píldoras televisivas podemos ver de nuevo a Edward luchando ante los impotentes ojos de Bella, aunque en este caso frente a uno de los Volturi, el clan de vampiros encargado de impartir justicia entre los chupasangres.

Recordemos que la esperada secuela de Crepúsculo llegará a los cines el 18 de noviembre, dos días antes de su estreno en Estados Unidos. Aunque a este paso con tanto clip promocional y adelanto pocas sorpresas les quedan a los fans para el día del estreno.

Първо, защото показва как Джаксън използва времето между снимките за своята друга страст- музиката; второ, защото  визията му като Джаспър е ммм… а с китара е- двойно мммм… И трето, защото някой фен сполучливо е надписал снимката с хумористичното “Джаспър иска да  изпее на всички ви няколко песни… за Конфедерацията”  (Christabel, взимаш ли бележки? )

Да преминем нататък… Знаете ли, че в интервю за младежкото списание Seventeen през миналата година, Джаксън е казал, че много харесва (и леко е влюбен) е Брайс Далас Хауърд?… “Коя??” ще кажат някои от вас. Ето малко снимков материал:

Но, да продължим нататък … Както може би знаете, Джаксън снима и продуцира в момента филма “Girlfriend” ( и според Christabel, поразително прилича във визията си там на едно нейно старо гадже -ммда, Джаксън има този ефект, да напомня за стари изгóри… но друг път ще ви разправям за съня си от тази сутрин…)  . Преди няколко месеца се появи информация, че ролята на приятелката му във филма ще се играе от Шенън Уудърд.   “Коя??? ” ще кажете всички сега… Окей, хайде пак малко снимков материал:

Si están ya rodando es porque Summit Entertainment quiere aprovechar de estrenar la película lo más rápido posible. Así que ”Eclipse” se estrenará ya el año que viene, el 30 de junio de 2010!

Robert sobre interpretando al casi-divino Edward Cullen: “Cuando leí Crepúsculo, y hay descripciones de estos lunares de Edward como una figura divina, yo pensaba que no había manera de que pudiera interpretarlo. Pero cuando me metí en la habitación con Kristen, hubo una cierta química. Ella es básicamente la razón por la que hice la película”.

Ashley sobre los twi-fans: “Kellan Lutz y yo nos miramos y vamos, ‘¿Qué está pasando? Esto es tan loco!’. Es muy diferente de todo lo que he experimentado. Pero los fans son muy apasionados. Seriamente, éste es el mejor trabajo del mundo con los mejores fans”.

Kellan sobre Breaking Dawn: “Estamos cruzando los dedos, y todos queremos terminar la serie. Y queremos que Stephenie [Meyer] escriba más libros si se puede!”.

แม้ว่า Twilight จะสร้างเงินสร้างทองให้ค่ายหนังเล็กๆ Summit จนลืมตาอ้าปากมีหน้ามีตาในวงการได้ จนปีนี้กำลังจะมีภาคสอง New MoON และภาคสามก็กำลังอยู่ในขั้นถ่ายทำ ทั้งนี้เพราะมั่นใจสุดแรงเกิดว่าต้องมีแฟนๆตามติดผลงานแน่นอน ยิ่งกระแสที่นับวันจะแรงและทางทีมงานก็ตอบสนองเป็นอย่างดี ทว่าภาคสี่ที่เป็นตอนปิดท้ายที่ชื่อ Twilight: Breaking Dawn กลับยังไม่มีแผนการสร้างในตอนนี้ ถึงแม้ว่าความคิดที่ว่าเฟรนไชส์เรื่องนี้จะเสื่อมความนิยมลงในอนาคตและอาจสร้างรายได้ระดับขาดทุนให้ค่ายหนังจะเป็นเรื่องไม่น่าเชื่อ แต่เราคงเดาได้แค่ว่านี่เป็นการไม่ประมาทตัวเองของทางค่าย เพราะถึงยังไงรอฟังผลตอบรับในอีกไม่กี่เดือนก็ยังทัน แล้วยังไงแนวโน้มที่จะได้สร้างก็คงต้องมีต่อไป เขาแค่ไม่รีบเกินควรก็เท่านั้นเอง ก็แหม ตั้งภาคสี่แน่ะ นี่เพิ่งแค่ภาคสอง ใจเย็นๆๆ

The Twilight Saga: EclipsE เป็นชื่อตอนที่สามที่ได้ผกก. David Slade มารับไม้ต่อ นั่นแปลว่าเฟรนไชส์นี้ใช้ผู้กำกับไม่ซ้ำกันเลย และนี่เป็นผู้กำกับผู้ชายคนที่สองแล้ว ซึ่งเขาเคยทำหนังแวมไพร์กัดดุมาก่อนแล้วอย่างใน 30 Days of Night และหนังเด็กหญิงโหดที่คุณผู้ชายไม่เคยจะกล้าลืมอย่าง Hard Candy หนังยังคงเล่าเรื่องต่อจากภาคสอง ว่ากันถึงหนึ่งสาวกับสองหนุ่ม บทสรุปที่ยากจะลงตัว อันตรายที่กำลังจะมาเยือนเบลล่า กองทัพแวมไพร์และฝูงหมาป่า เรื่องราวจะเป็นอย่างไรแฟนๆคงรู้ดีกันอยู่แล้ว ส่วนใครที่ไม่เคยอ่านอย่างผมก็ต้องรอดูหนังต่อไป คิๆ

ล่าสุดมีรายงานมาว่านักแสดงสาว Kirsten Prout (“Kyle XY,” Elektra) ได้ตัดสินใจรับเล่นบทแวมไพร์ Lucy ในหนังภาคนี้ด้วย เป็นตัวละครที่มีบทบาทสำคัญในอดีตของแจสเปอร์ ซึ่งจะออกฉายในวันที่ 30 มิถุนายน 201O ต่อจากทีมนักแสดง Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Ashley Greene, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Kellan Lutz, Nikki Reed, Jackson Rathbone, Billy Burke, Bryce Dallas Howard, Xavier Samuel, Jack Huston, Julia Jones, BooBoo Stewart และ Jodelle Ferland

When the casting of “The Twilight Saga’s Eclipse” was officially announced in September, it was revealed that the “Twilight Saga” series has got the addition of Jack Huston to the cast ensemble. The “Eastwick” actor has landed the role of Royce King II, and recently he has shared details about his part.

“I play this guy called Royce King, who is the fiance of Rosalie [Nikki Reed], before Rosalie was a vampire,” he told IESB. “It’s her backstory. It’s in 1933, during the Great Depression, and he’s a wealthy son of a banker. He’s a blue blood who takes a shine to her, but she’s not as nice as she seems and he has his comeuppance.”

Asked about how he got involved in the third “Twilight Saga” film, the 26-year-old recalled, “I literally just got back last Saturday, from filming my last little bits on it. I went in for David Slade, who’s the director, for another part that was written as a 19-year-old freshman who’s blonde-haired and blue-eyed, which I knew I wasn’t. That couldn’t be less like me.”

“But, I went in and took a very different spin on how the character was written, and went a little nuts in the room, and David and I really got along, so he said, ‘I wanna get you in this movie somewhere.’ So, he called me up a couple weeks later and said, ‘There’s this other part. Would you like to do it?,’ and he offered me that.”

“The Twilight Saga’s Eclipse” is an adaptation of the third novel from Stephenie Meyer’s “Twilight” series. Knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf, Bella Swan once again finds herself surrounded by danger while she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob in this movie.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart return as Edward and Bella. Bryce Dallas Howard takes over Victoria from Rachelle Lefevre, Catalina Sandino Moreno stars as Maria, and Xavier Samuel is picked up to portray Riley. This follow-up to “The Twilight Saga’s New Moon” is scheduled for a U.S. release on June 30, 2010.

Eclipse

Dopo le foto e il video dell’opening scene di Eclipse, cioè l’inseguimento e la trasformazione di Riley per mano (cioè denti!) di Victoria, ecco nuove immagini delle riprese di Eclipse!

La scena in questione è un flashback nel passato di Rosalie, che lei sta raccontando a Bella la sera in cui dorme a casa Cullen. Nelle foto vediamo Nikki Reed nei panni di Rosalie e Jack Huston nei panni di Royce King.

Grazie a PUNKD Images abbiamo il video esculsivo di quella che probabilmente sarà l’opening scene di Eclipse, girata proprio ieri, venerdì 09 ottobre.

Seattle, Stato di Washington: un ragazzo umano, Riley, corre a perdifiato sotto la pioggia perchè inseguito da “un’ombra (Victoria). Chi ha letto il libro sa che Victoria vuole trasformarlo e iniziare così la formazione di un esercito di neo-vampiri scatenati. Obiettivo: uccidere Bella Swan.

In particolare nel video l’attore Xavier Samuel è impegnato a rappresentare il momento in cui Victoria lo morde e inizia la sua trasofrmazione; Bryce Dallas Howard (Victoria) non è presente sul set.

Sembra che la sceneggiatrice, Melissa Rosenberg, abbia cambiato un po’ le carte in tavola, non vi pare? Nel libro Stephenie Meyer assegna al personaggio di Riley un ruolo di gran lunga minore.. e di certo non assistiamo alla sua trasformazione! Ma si sa, le esigenze cinematografiche sono ben altre!
