(vincNW) Morgen sind es auf den Tag genau 2 Monate nach der Bundestagswahl, der 17. Deutsche Bundestag hat seine Arbeit seit geraumer Zeit aufgenommen und für Skandale ist auch schon wieder gesorgt (siehe hier), außerdem läuft morgen auch die Frist ab, bei der man seinen Einspruch gegen das Ergebis der Bundestagswahl einlegen kann.

Doch wieso sollte man Einspruch einlegen? Wir leben hier doch in einem demokratischen Land,bei uns geht doch alles mit rechten Dingen zu!

Nein! Auch bei uns wird getrickst und missbraucht wie bei den Profis, da gibt es die CDU, welche Verfassungsorgane zum Wahlkampf nutzt oder staatliche Stellen die Dienstgeheimnisse an die Presse weiterleiten.

Hier ein kleiner Auszug, von dem was falsch gelaufen ist und ja es ist nur ein Auszug es gibt da noch einiges mehr Stichwort: “Die Partei”:

Tauss

Aufhebung der Immunität

Jörg Tauss, damaliger MdB, wäre mit dem Ende der 16. Legislaturperiode aus dem Bundestag ausgeschieden und hätte somit auch seine Immunität verloren. Wenige Wochen vor der Wahl jedoch wurde durch eine Sondersitzung des Bundestages beschlossen eben diese Immunität schon jetzt aufzuheben, dies diente keinem Interesse der Strafverfolgung. Es gab lediglich ein Ziel: Es soll noch vor der Wahl ein Verfahren gegen Tauss ins Rollen gebracht werden. Mit der dabei entstandenen Negativ-Presse sollten Wähler davon abgehalten werden die Piratenpartei zu wählen.

Staatsanwaltschaft

Die Staatsanwaltschaft nahm diese Steilvorlage natürlich gerne auf und gab zahlreiche Pressekonferenzen, die einzig und allein den Grund hatten Jörg Tauss und seiner Partei im Wahlkampf zu schaden. Es wurde so versucht Wähler davon abzuhalten der Piratenpartei ihre Stimme zu geben.

Verrat von Dienstgeheimnissen

Am 22. September berichtet der SWR im Format “Report Mainz” über die Anklageschrift gegen Jörg Tauss (siehe hier), zu diesem Zeitpunkt war die Anklageschrift jedoch noch garnicht öffentlich, nicht mal Jörg Tauss kannte sie. Allein folgende staatliche Stellen kannten sie:

• Staatsanwaltschaft Karlsruhe
• Generalstaatsanwaltschaft Karlsruhe
• Justizministerium Baden-Württemberg
• Immunitätsausschuss des Bundestages
• ggf. Beschäftigte des Deutschen Bundestages

Ein Beschäftigter dieser Stellen muss also, unter dem Straftatbestand des Verrats von Dienstgeheimnissen, die Anklageschrift an die Presse weitergegeben haben. Auch dies hatte nur ein Ziel: Eine skandalöse Negativ-Berichterstattung über Jörg Tauss, was wie man an dem Artikel sehen konnte auch gelungen ist. Es wurde so versucht Wähler davon abzuhalten ihre Stimme der Piratenpartei zu geben.

CDU

Dr. Wolfgang Schäuble (Stasi 2.0) gab inzwischen zu (siehe hier), dass die Gesetzgebungsfunktion der Bundesregierung für Wahlkampfzwecke missbraucht wurde. Das Zugangserschwerungsgesetz (Zensursula-Gesetz) sei im Endspurt des Wahlkampf entstanden um die CDU von anderen Parteien abzuheben.

Es wurde folglich ein Verfassungsorgan von der CDU zu Wahlkampfzwecken missbraucht.

Um sich das mal besser vorstellen zu können hier ein Einspruch von einer mir namentlich bekannten Person ( )

Wieso sollte man Einspruch einlegen?

Es ist enorm wichtig, dass unsere demokratischen Mittel genutzt werden, um eben jene Demokratie zu schützen. Man muss den Leuten in Berlin etc. genau auf die Finger schauen, denn nicht jeder dort nimmt es so Ernst mit der Demokratie und der Verfassung.

Wir als Bürger stehen in der Pflicht uns nicht auf der Nase herumtanzen zu lassen, sondern gegen ein nicht gerechtfertigtes Handeln vorzugehen!

Einsprüche, Demonstrationen, Verfassungsbeschwerden uvm. stehen uns zur Verfügung und warten darauf genutzt zu werden, denn wer nur sagt “Ich bewege eh nichts” hat schon verloren!

Såååå störande. Jag har väntat på att denna mobil ska komma ut i snart 2 år. Jag har väntat och väntat. I och med att den aldrig kom ut när jag behövde en telefon så fick jag köpa mig Samsung Ultra Edition (vilken version kommer jag inte ihåg, den silvriga). Men den blev söndertuggad utav mina vovvar efter några månader. Fick köpa en ny och då valde jag Sony Ericsson´s smartphone – W960i. Smart och smart… den var jäkla flashig och smart då när jag köpte den, för ca 1½ år sen.

Nuuuu, när den förbannade Sation (Idou) kommit ut och har haft “möjligheten” att köpa (vilket egentligen inte stämmer, för här i England så är det så tramsigt att kunna få ett bankkonto, vilket jag behövt för att kunna få mig en Satio), så är den inte riktigt brukbar vilket innebär att det vore idiotiskt att satsa på en sådan just nu. Carphone Warehouse har kallat tillbaka telefoner för att mjukvaran inte riktigt är med på noterna. Det är så typiskt… fan ta… ush jag blir så upprörd.

Btw, har fått bank nu, men väntar fortfarande på VISA kortet, vilket är det dom behöver för att kunna ge mig en Satio. I vilket fall… det blir ingen Satio nu eftersom det är så mycket fel på mjukvaran. Får vänta tills dom uppgraderat den lite innan jag slår till. Men shit så jag väntat. Borde nästan få ett pris för det. Just nu har jag inte någon bra fungerande phone =(

The publisher at my first weekly newspaper job bragged to me one day that he could extract a discarded press release from the waste basket and make a front-page story out of it. The release he pulled out was one of those “Congressman (Blank) declares June 12 ‘National Hug a Vegetarian Day’ type of announcements, so I didn’t have the desire, or the authority, to challenge him to go through with his dare.

I thought of this when pondering what to write about for my first blog entry. I pulled the shopping list out of my pocket and resolved to write my first post based on that. A shopping list can reveal many things about a person and trigger other thoughts and memories. Of course, it can also remind you that you need milk.

The first item on my list is Kleenex (tissue). We need this because I came down with a cold a couple of days ago and I’ve just about wiped out our supply of tissues. We kept my son home from school today because he’s coming down with something too. Just to be extra cautious, I looked up the symptoms to H1N1 when I started feeling sick. The symptoms are practically the same as any conventional signs of the flu and include common cold symptoms. So how do you know when you have the more serious epidemic kind of flu and not the garden-variety curl-up-on-the-couch-with-a-blanket-a-basket-and-TV-remote kind of flu? Maybe that’s why it’s so insidious.

Next item: Cheez-Its. My wife and I scarf down Cheez-Its at an almost alarming rate. We’re both conscious of healthy snacking and Cheez-Its provide that optimal balance between not overloading on fat and providing the necessary salt fix without having to choke down the featureless safe snacks. That made me think about dieting and why we don’t hear about those annoying low-carb diets anymore. I think it’s because the thinking was flawed from the beginning. If you’re trying to lose weight, everyone knows you need to do two things: eat less and exercise. When you exercise, you’re burning carbs. So why would any respectable doctor tell someone to avoid carbs and eat fried chicken? It never made sense to me. And I never stopped eating carbs.

Bananas. One nice thing about our kids is we don’t have to pester them to eat fruit because they like bananas and apples. My son actually asks if he can have an apple the same way he asks for a cookie or a brownie. “Yes!” But I also think of an odd skit that my wife, Emily, and I saw on the David Letterman show many years ago. The deliriously nutty Chris Eliot did a bad impression of an overweight Marlon Brando performing an awkward dance around a large bundle of bananas (I guess because Brando lives on an island and we just imagine him doing weird things). At certain breaks in the song, Eliot would stop and, using that nasally Brando voice from “Apocalypse Now,” just say: “Bananas!” It was such an oddball skit that stuck in our heads, my wife and I started quoting it whenever we saw bananas. We still do it sometimes.

Rubbing alcohol. I need this to clean the new thermometer I bought to make sure we don’t have H1N1 (or to be reasonably confident). I tried to clean it with water and the thing started beeping rapidly at me. The thermometer clearly sounded disturbed that I wasn’t disinfecting it with the proper fluid.

Entenmann’s mini muffins. First of all, I wish they had these when I was a kid. This reminds me of Frank Zappa, who had a song called “The Muffin Man.” Zappa was the most original musician I have ever heard (or seen) and possibly the only composer who would conceive of a song about muffins — specifically about an eccentric muffin snob who eschews cupcakes and spends most of his time in the “utility muffin research kitchen.” It contains the nebulous line: “Girl, you thought he was a man, but he was a muffin.” Frank played a mean guitar solo on the tune, as he always did. His son, Dweezil, is now every bit as impressive playing his father’s songs.

Bread. OK, the obvious mnemonic response would be the weepy band from the ’70s, whose music was played at every junior high dance on the planet. But I think of a song called “Bread” on a Todd Rundgren album (I had it in vinyl) called “Hermit of Mink Hollow.” I bought this album on the advice of an acquaintance working at a record store (who was much kinder than Jack Black). I took it with me to college and my roommate complained that I played it too much. Todd Rundgren also reminds me of my friend, Tom Limbaugh, an exceptional guitar player himself who introduced me to so much great music in my teen years, including Frank Zappa. Tom and I took a trip to New York once and, on a sidetrip, tried to find Rundgren’s house in Bearsville, New York. I don’t know if we thought we were going to catch him taking out the garbage and he’d invite us in for grilled cheeses, but we never found him.

Order turkey. I ordered a fresh turkey for Thanksgiving. We host Thanksgiving every year because we like to be the central gathering place for my side of the family (my Mom, sister and nieces) and my wife’s side (two sisters and a niece). The thing worth calling out here is that we all get along. You hear about many families dreading the holidays because their family is weird/snotty/politically incorrect/condescending/tee-totalers, or whatever the objectionable behavior is. In my family, though, we genuinely enjoy each others’ company. We look forward to holidays. They’re fun and they involve eating massive amounts of delicious food, which will involve another, much longer shopping list on another occasion (but I’ll spare you that one).

In this video they are voting on making a public sidewalk “Private Property!” A public sidewalk the town’s taxpayers had paid for!!!

So, yeah, still back in limbo.

I’ve now spent every evening this week with O. Monday: dinner with him & his mom (who I really wanted to see), Tuesday: dropped off a b-day gift for his youngest (so she could wear the outfit ON her b-day) and hung out for a while, and Wednesday: for said chid’s birthday dinner (w/O’s dad & stepmom)….

In some ways, it feels like we’ve skipped the unknown stuff and are just comfy together again…until *something* reminded me that we’re not.

We’re coasting a bit…and I’m doing a pretty good job of not letting it bug me.

Don’t get me wrong. All’s not peachy-keen and tied up with a big red bow (whatever that would look like). I’m not really cool with where we stand, but like I’ve said before, I think part of me just expects it to turn south, so I’m kind of a bit guarded. Also, I’m still making myself remain open to other possibilities.

In fact, I have  a lunch date with a guy I haven’t seen in a long time, but who asked me out like a year ago. We never dated because I wasn’t really up for it at the time, but he’s a really (seemingly) awesome, and I refuse to continue to live my life on hold.

My heart IS still on hold; I have little (to no) control over that, but where I go and with whom I spend time that I can control.

New-est guy (‘A’) is an unknown. And while I’ve been kind of forcing myself to be open to a relationship with new/old guy, A has potential on a completely different level. But we’re doing a lunch date today because he’s leaving tomorrow for a business trip to Hawaii. He’s away on business a LOT. Does a lunch date really count?

Not so sure….or why I’m concerned if it ‘counts.’

I was really encouraged yesterday by a comment about not skipping over these hard parts of life…and I ascribe to that wholeheartedly. I just can’t help wanting to be in a more settled place.

I’m really trying to focus on the big picture.

There was a time when I could pen poetry in minutes

There was a time when I would blog effortlessly

There was a time when I’d change status messages frequently.

Where is that time gone I think. My present has overtaken my past.

Ok, so officially one week after “the real end” and I’m still reeling…

But there’s been one looming loose end. Waiting for the opportunity to “tie it up” was rather excrutiating, but also left a sliver of room for hope that things would straighten out, turn right side up, or whatever analogy for working out you prefer.

Only it didn’t.

And last night a brief, nakedly honest text conversation ensued.

While there was more that could have been said, it simply wasn’t.

He started hinting as I was ending the conversation, but I couldn’t ask.

Wouldn’t ask…

…and he didn’t continue.

My ability to hope (at least in this circumstance) is broken…beyond repair, I’m afraid.

So, loose end tied up… and the rest unravels.

But my knots are loosening.

I can feel some healing starting to take place. And hope for God’s plan to be revealed is like a tiny green plant growing through a crack in cement. You watch in wonder how against all odds it pushes its way through.

Cool, God. Very cool.

Om de economische crisis te counteren, heeft de federale regering een tijdelijke btw-verlaging tot 6% op nieuwbouw, slopen en heropbouw ingevoerd. De verlaging is recent verlengd tot 31 maart 2010. Een overzicht:

Tarief van 6% voor nieuwbouw op maximaal 50.000 euro

Voor nieuwbouw daalt het normaal btw-tarief van 21% naar 6% voor de bouw of de aankoop van een woning. De bouwheer moet de woning hetzij uitsluitend, hetzij hoofdzakelijk als vaste privé-woning waar hij gedomicilieerd is, gebruiken. De verlaging geldt op een beperkte schijf van facturen voor een totaalbedrag van maximum 50.000 euro, exclusief btw. Hierdoor kan je van 7.500 euro voordeel genieten.

Een schijf van 50.000 euro

• De omschrijving ‘een’ schijf betekent dat niet alleen de ‘eerste’ schijf van 50.000 euro van een project dat gefactureerd wordt in aanmerking komt, maar om het even welke schijf van 50.000 euro. Dit houdt in dat een in 2008 opgestart bouwproject waarvoor al facturen opgemaakt werden ook in aanmerking kan komen voor de btw-verlaging in 2009.

Bouw en koop

• De verkoop van woningen op plan en de verkoop van nieuwe al gebouwde appartementen vallen ook onder het toepassingsgebied van de btw-vermindering.

Facturaties in 2009

• Het gaat om een tijdelijke maatregel die uitsluitend van toepassing is op facturen die opgemaakt zijn tussen 1 januari 2009 en 31 december 2009.
  • Opgelet! Bij de bouw van een woning is wel vereist dat de facturatie aan 6% gebeurt vóór de ingebruikneming van het gebouw.
  • Een in de loop van 2009 verkochte woning mag nog niet in gebruik zijn genomen vóór 1 januari 2009.

• Facturen die opgemaakt zijn vanaf 1 januari 2009 tot de datum van publicatie van de bepalingen in het Belgisch Staatsblad komen ook in aanmerking voor het verlaagd btw-tarief. De maatregel treedt retroactief in werking vanaf begin 2009. Hiervoor moet je de normale werkwijze volgen die geldt voor het opmaken van kreditnota’s en corrigerende facturen.

Wel van toepassing

• Het verlaagd tarief is uitsluitend van toepassing op een woning die hetzij uitsluitend, hetzij hoofdzakelijk gebruikt wordt als vaste privéwoning waar de bouwheer/verkrijger zonder uitstel gedomicilieerd is.
• Wie een nieuwe woning bouwt of koopt en zijn huidige woning verlaat kan wel van de verlaging genieten. Wel is het zo dat je minstens vijf jaar in die woning moet wonen. Deze periode eindigt op 31 december van het vijfde jaar volgend op het jaar van de eerste ingebruikneming van het gebouw . Als je dit niet doet, moet je hiervan aangifte doen op het btw-controlekantoor van het ambtsgebied waarin het gebouw is gelegen. Het verkregen belastingvoordeel (maximaal 7.500 euro) moet je dan ook terugstorten aan de staat.

Niet van toepassing

• Tweede verblijven en woningen om te verhuren, komen niet in aanmerking.
• Werken die geen betrekking hebben op de eigenlijke woning, zoals bebouwingswerkzaamheden, tuinaanleg en het plaatsen van afsluitingen.
• Zwembaden, sauna’s, midget-golfbanen, tennisterreinen en dergelijke installaties.
• Werken uitgevoerd aan woningen die eerst aangekocht werden met toepassing van 6% op een schijf van 50.000 euro.

Geregistreerd aannemer

• Om in aanmerking te komen, moet je een beroep doen op een geregistreerd aannemer.

Procedure en formaliteiten bij de bouw van een woning

• Zowel de bouwheer als de aannemer moet bepaalde formaliteiten naleven om in aanmerking te komen voor het verlaagd tarief van 6%.

Bouwheer

• De bouwheer moet bij zijn lokale belastingskantoor over de toegevoegde waarde verklaren dat het gebouw dat hij laat oprichten bestemd is om, hetzij uitsluitend, hetzij hoofdzakelijk, te worden gebruikt als zijn vaste privéwoning waar hij zijn domicilie zal hebben. De administratie moet op deze verklaring een referentienummer aanbrengen.

• De bouwheer moet een kopie van deze verklaring overhandigen aan de aannemer.

Aannemer

• De aannemer moet op de factuur en op het dubbel dat hij bewaart de datum en het referentienummer vermelden van de verklaring die hij heeft ontvangen van de bouwheer. Ook het btw-controlekantoor waar de verklaring ingediend is, moet erop staan.
• Uiterlijk de laatste werkdag van de maand na die waarin de factuur uitgereikt werd, moet de aannemer een kopie van deze factuur sturen naar het btw-controlekantoor waaronder hij valt
• Voor zover deze twee voorwaarden door de aannemer nageleefd worden en behalve in geval van samenspannen tussen partijen of klaarblijkelijk niet naleven van de verschillende voorwaarden, ontlast de verklaring van de bouwheer de aannemer van de aansprakelijkheid over de vaststelling van het tarief.

Slopen – heropbouw

Sinds begin 2007 is het verlaagde btw-tarief van 6% van toepassing op de afbraak van een oud gebouw dat vervangen wordt door een nieuwe woning. De bedoeling van de maatregel was de bestrijding van de leegstand en de onbewoonbaarheid van oude stadswijken. De regel was enkel van toepassing in 32 gemeenten.

Deze beperking tot 32 stadsgebieden valt weg in 2009 zodat dit jaar het volledige grondgebied in aanmerking komt. Het gaat om een tijdelijke maatregel zodat vanaf 2010 opnieuw de beperkte lijst zal gelden. Op deze lijst staan:

- De stedelijke centra van Antwerpen, Charleroi, Gent, Oostende, Mechelen, Bergen, La Louvière, Sint-Niklaas, Seraing en Luik.
- Op het grondgebied van het Brussels Hoofdstedelijk Gewest: Brussel, Anderlecht, Sint-Gilles, Sint-Joost-ten-Node, Sint-Jans-Molenbeek, Schaarbeek en Vorst.
- Leuven, Brugge, Kortrijk, Roeselare, Aalst, Dendermonde, Genk, Hasselt, Moeskroen, Doornik, Verviers, Namen, Elsene, Ukkel, en Etterbeek.

Ook hier zijn er enkele voorwaarden aan verbonden. Zo moeten de werken in onroerende staat uitgevoerd worden aan een gebouw dat na de uitvoering van de werken, hetzij uitsluitend, hetzij hoofdzakelijk als privé-woning wordt gebruikt.

Een geregistreerde aannemer moet de werken uitvoeren.

De bouwheer en de aannemer moeten een aantal formaliteiten vervullen.

Bepaalde werken zijn uitgesloten van het verlaagde tarief van 6%.

De afbraak en heroprichting moeten betrekking hebben op een woning die na de uitvoering van de werken, hetzij uitsluitend, hetzij hoofdzakelijk als privéwoning wordt gebruikt. Er is niet vereist dat het afgebroken gebouw een privéwoning was, de aanwending van het gebouw vóór de afbraak is van geen belang.

Renovatiewerken

Het verlaagd btw-tarief van 6% voor renovatiewerken blijft ongewijzigd van toepassing tot eind 2010. Voorwaarden zijn:

• De handelingen moeten de omvorming, renovatie, rehabilitatie, verbetering, herstelling of het onderhoud, met uitsluiting van de reiniging, geheel of ten dele van een woning tot voorwerp hebben;
• De woning moet, na de uitvoering van de werken, hetzij uitsluitend, hetzij hoofdzakelijk, als privé-woning worden gebruikt;
• De eerste ingebruikneming gaat ten minste vijf jaar terug;
• De werken moeten worden verstrekt en gefactureerd aan een eindverbruiker door een geregistreerd aannemer;
• De klant moet een attest overmaken aan de aannemer waarop vermeld staat dat aan de voorwaarden is voldaan. De gegevens van het attest moeten ook op de factuur vermeld worden.

Sociale woningbouw

Sinds 2007 is het btw-tarief verlaagd van 12% naar 6% voor de bouw van woningen door sociale huisvestingsmaatschappijen of door hen erkende maatschappijen. Nu zal ook de bouw van nieuwe sociale woningen door andere overheden in aanmerking komen voor het verlaagd tarief van 6%.

I’ve never been a scab picker…too gross. Even though I’ve never really been good at ‘leaving well enough alone’ as my dad calls it, I just couldn’t stand the thought of picking at a scab and making myself bleed…

Except emotionally. I seem to be an expert emotional scab picker. Almost forcing myself to jump in the deep end of feeling sad. I think I do it hoping to shorten the length of time it’ll take to heal. Like wallowing will speed up the process.

Who knows? Maybe it does.

What I know hasn’t worked over the past few months of trying to end it and move on (quite unsuccessfuly, I might add) is continuing to give in to my emotions that want to give it another try. Only trying again in the same state, with the same broken definition of love, well, it just doesn’t work. Not at all.

So, this time, I’m trying something new. If insanity is trying the same thing and expecting different results, then trying something new and hoping for a different outcome has to be the definition of sanity. Right? C’mon, right???

Well, I’m desperately hoping for a clean break. You know when someone breaks their arm or leg and the doctor says it’s a clean break, that’s a good thing. Not a jagged break, but a straight break.

After returning something by mail to avoid any further conversation, I was pretty much informed that even though I didn’t need my stuff back, I was going to get it in person, sooner or later. Barring breaking my lease and moving apartments, getting a new job, or entering the witness protection program, I could have opened my door to an unexpected confrontation. One for which I was unprepared and THAT could be emotionally hazardous to my health.

So, once again, not doing what is best for me but what he wanted, I sucked it up and stopped by to pick up my stuff. It hurt…a lot. I’m not gonna sugar-coat it for you. Being face to face with what my heart wants but knows is less than the kind of love God has for me, well, I had to keep reminding myself I’d wind back up in this same spot…or worse, commit to living that life forever feeling less than cherished.

I’m praying God continues to break my heart. Not over the ended relationship, but over my acceptance of something that was less than His best for me. Breaks my heart over the fact that He’s been grieved by my settling, by my own underestimation of my worth to Him, by my own failure to see myself through His eyes.

I’m praying for a clean break that He can heal…

Truly restore.

I love this line from ‘When Harry Met Sally’ (the 80’s movie with Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal).

Ok, while the scene itself doesn’t need describing (and I’d blush just putting it into words), the sentiment is a universal one. We all know what it’s like to look around and see something someone else has and think, “Ooh, I want that, too.”

Last weekend I went to Portland for one of my closest friend’s wedding. As a matter of fact, I was an honorary best man. (Yeah, kind of a weird thing for a girl to be, but hey, I’ve had less likely titles in my life.)

Although I love my friend Garza and his new bride Emily, it wasn’t when I looked at them that I thought, I’ll have what they’re having. It was listening to the words the pastor (Randy Remington of Beaverton Foursquare Church) that inspired the “I want that!” feeling. It was hands down one of the very best wedding ceremonies I’ve ever witnessed. And trust me when I say, I’ve been to more than my fair share!

While I know some people think there’s no need for a “sermon” at a wedding, these words describing the commitment the bride and groom were making that day were more than fitting…they were inspiring.

Speaking from Hosea, Pastor Remington shared God’s definition of the marriage relationship. I don’t even remember all seven of the descriptors, but what I do remember is feeling inspired to look at my small definition of not only marriage but God’s covenant relationship with us, His bride.

I remember thinking, I want to be loved (and to love) like that….

When you’re tempted to think too small or settle for less than His best, stop and think…

What are you currently basing your comparisons on?
Whose definition of ‘awesome’ are you looking to?

If it leaves you feeling anything less than CHERISHED, stop! RUN, don’t walk back to His word on the matter.

God’s plans are extravagent—don’t settle for anything less!

Etwas Off-Topic aber warum nicht, gehört auch zum Wohlbefinden und versüsst einem die Arbeit am PC etwas wenn man sich gerade wieder mal an der Bildbearbeitung zu schaffen macht. Interessante Links zu Künstlern aus der neuseeländischen Musikszene. Überraschenderweise gibt es Titel dieser Künstler nicht nur auf ITunes, sondern zwischenzeitlich auch bei Amazon Deutschland.

Bekannt von Split Enz, Crowded House, den Finn Brothers und als Solokünstler,  vor kurzem ist sein zweites Werk unter der Bezeichnung 7 Worlds Collide (Link öffnet neues Fenster) erschienen, auf dem jede Menge bekannte Musikgrössen vereint sind. Auch sehr engagiert für Oxfam.

Billee Shoecraft died of cancer in 1977. She began suffering from cancer after a helicopter sprayed her with the defoliant Kuron. Before her death, Shoecraft wrote a book about her experience in which she said that after she was sprayed her eyes were nearly swollen shut, her arms and legs were swollen to twice their normal size and her hair was falling out in patches.[26] Kuron, a herbicide related to Agent Orange, was sprayed by the U.S. Forest Service to thin foliage and increase water runoff in the Pinal Mountains of the Tonto National Forest near Globe, Arizona, in 1968 and 1969. Dow Chemical Company and the U.S. Forest Service paid an undisclosed sum to five families. Shoecraft wrote a book entitled, Sue the Bastards!, about her incident in 1971.
