Numerous mediums have told my mum she’s very psychic, despite the fact she hasn’t begun to develop this gift. She also used to receive regular treatments, therefore her experiences of Reiki may be more advanced as she’s now very receptive to the energy.

Nevertheless I want to demonstrate the different experiences that people can have with Reiki and my mum is a great example.

Here’s what she said about her first mother daughter Reiki session…

I have had Reiki treatments before but this was the first one with my daughter. I had been feeling very depressed and anxious due to the loss of my best friend but as the session started I felt a calmness within and around me, soon into the treatment I had visions of colour which were mainly blues, lilacs and purples which seemed to be appearing as clouds that started large and gently faded to make way for the next colour. As her hands moved over my body towards my legs i had a feeling of tingling heat in my stomach area before suddenly seeing a buddhas head in my mind’s eye, as i focused more I could see that it was just half and not the whole of a buddhas face. During the whole session i felt relaxed and calm and felt as if i were in a dream like state and could have stayed in this place for many hours. In the days that followed I felt much clearer in my mind about things that have happened and less anxious.

Tore sind also garantiert.

FC Bayern:

Rensing – Lahm, van Buyten, Badstuber, Pranjic – Tymoshchuk, Schweinsteiger – Robben, Ribery – Gomez, Olic

VFL Wolfsburg:

Benaglio – Riether, Madlung, Barzagli, Schäfer – Santana, Dejagah, Gentner – Misimovic – Grafite, Dzeko

Throughout history, there have been many symbols representing our connection to the earth and respect for nature. The buddha is one of the most familiar of these. The idea that the cycles of nature mirror those of our own lives is represented in the buddha, and traditional wood carvings in the form of masks and statues keep these ideas alive day to day. As we strive towards peace, happiness, good and inner wisdom in our lives, keeping the buddha close can help us to remember and celebrate these values.

Fuck me dead it’s HOT! Thailand was hot, full fucking stop – if you’re not used to

Fuck me dead it’s HOT!

Thailand was hot, full fucking stop – if you’re not used to incredibly hot and humid weather, this is not the country for you. The heat in this country is like being stuck in a train with a shit load of fat people. I can withstand a 45degree heat summer in Sydney, because it’s dry heat, whereas the Thai heat makes you feel a bit like you’re suffocating. The country is right at the equator, so you feel the full force of the sun, but I can tell you now I loved it! It was winter in Oz when I left, and I needed heat and sun after 2years of crappy weather in London! On top of all this, the photo above is one of the most amazing pictures I have ever taken ANYWHERE! Gah – it was an awesome country.

Now, Ayutthaya is about an hour or so away from Bangkok so you have a lot of choices to get there. Hotels offer about 2000 baht to have one of their drivers take you around Ayutthaya themselves (don’t let them raise that price up, the Thai are used to bargaining, bring it down to at least 2500). I refused to do this, I experienced all the countries in Europe by myself, I am not taking the easy way out. I took a taxi to the nothern trainstation, and then a bus to Ayutthaya, then I hired a tuk-tuk and all together it cost 1000 baht! (Btw, this is Nong, my tuk-tuk driver). The normal rate for the tuk-tuk is 200baht an hour, but I paid him extra cos he was heaps nice. (the bus single is 80/90baht)

Wat Phra Mahathat

Now, Nong (like most Thai people) cannot speak any English at all, except maybe, “Hello”. Don’t expect the Thai to speak English, cos they can’t. I wasn’t even sure his name was Nong, he was introduced to me as Nong, by another tuktuk driver – it may be a Thai word. But he shall be called Nong for now. He took me to my first temple which was amazing. And like ALL Thai people, he was as nice and polite as ever. In all accounts I have read, and all the people I have met, the same is consistent – it is rare for you to meet a Thai person that is an asshole. They’re all nice.

Now, because of the major language barrier, he figured out a way for us to communicate where we should go (and I suggest you do the same thing). He had a bunch of post-cards of Ayutthaya, and I basically pointed to each thing I wanted to see. Simple as that. First place was the giant reclining Buddha. It was MASSIVE! Compare it to the woman. This was soooo Street Fighter, seriously, Sagat vs Ryu.

Monument of King Naresuan the Great & Wat Phu Khao Thong

I think the Thai have great respect for their Royalty. Nong kept stopping at this giant cocks, calling out, “helloooo” – signalling me to take a photo of them. I was not only mightily impressed by the size of them, but also by the sheer amount of them on the way to the temple.

The temple itself was a bit wonky, I didn’t really get how that managed to happen. It was a magnificent site, and on the way to the temple – there is a scungy little lake filled with hungry cat-fish. Nong was having a break with a fellow tuk tuk driver in the shade, while I was burning my ass walking up those bloody steps.

The view from the top was spectacular, it was much higher up than I thought it was. Inside wasn’t much, it stunk with incense and had a buddha shrine – but I couldn’t stand being in that hole because I am claustrophobic and it was simply too hot. But it was absolutely worth the climb.

Then I realised, crap, it’s a long way down. Btw – this particular temple is not a major tourist attraction, therefore only these tiny stalls. Also (this is was a common experience for me in Thailand) but everyone assumed I was Thai because of my skin colour and eyes. I had to greet people by bowing with my hands together because they would find it rude cos I look brown, but I also had to explain that I was Filipino.

There are things in common with the Philippines however, other than my skin colour. We have many stray dogs like these, that are starved to death, overly inbred and on the verge of death. Filipinos will just eat them.

We also have water buffalo like these, but this one doesn’t look like any one I have seen before. It was smooth, and a yellow colour.

Wat Na Prameru Rachikaram

I didn’t ask Nong to bring me here, but I guess he thought I would like it because I kept pointing at a golden buddha (there was a golden buddha in here). This is apparently one of the few in tact temples left in Ayutthaya that the Burmese didn’t destroy. Also not a tourist hot-spot. I had to take my havies off to get in, I hate the feeling of sweaty tinea.

I pointed out to Nong that I wanted to go here, the post-card was quite misleading and there was a lot of Photoshop done to make this picture look like that. I have no idea what this temple was called, but it was in absolute ruins. It was worth the short visit though, cos there is other crap to do here.

I liked how the ruins were surrounded by these dogs, and sometimes you just have to find things that are unique – because the temples started to all look the same (just like the Churches in France I kept taking photos of two years ago).

Wat Yai Chaya Mongkol

Nong made the assumption that I needed to go to the toilet (have no idea how he knew, but I was drinking so much water this day it was so hot, that I actually didn’t need to go) but I peed anyway. I didn’t intend to go to this temple (some of the tuktuk drivers are paid in gas coupons to take people to temples) but it was still awesome. The reclining Buddha wasn’t as nice as the other one though, but more Tourists were at this one.

Look at what they bloody placed in front of the god. That wierd blue cat – wtf? It would be like putting mickey mouse in front of a statue of the Virgin Mary.

Wat Phananchoeng Worawihan

Now, this was a MAJOR tourist attraction (but for Thai people I think), so much so that there were hardly any parking spaces and there were giant buses filled with tourists (oddly enough, there were hardly any white people). Anyway, there is as massive golden buddha in here (sorry guys, the buddhas will be in the next post). Luckily, Nong found a parking space right in front of the entrance.

I had to take a picture of this, but everywhere you go in Thailand, there are portraits of the Royal Family. All covered in gold leaf, and all of them massive. I don’t really know what to make of it, but I would hate to be staring at Queen Elizabeth all day, every 15minutes.

This was pretty cool, Nong was sort of leading me toward a monk with a microphone and a crap load of people. He pushed me to the front of the line, and made me get a plate with some wax to pour into that blue thing (so basically a shit load of people help to make a giant candle). It must have been something religious, but that felt really welcoming. The monk spoke to me for a bit, but I couldn’t understand him.

Nearby there were a crap load of Markets, but they weren’t for tourists (and by tourists, I mean foreign tourists), cos there was nothing obvious that could be sold to tourists.

Now, coming from the Philippines, I am game to try anything. But this was the first day of my trip, and I wasn’t going to ruin it with giant bouts of diarrhea.

Wat Phra Mahathat

Now it was only fitting that we ended, where we started from. I wanted to see a giant head inside a tree. But this place reminded me strongly of Tomb Raider, but I can tell you what, I was not in the mood for running … period. The heat slows my ass down. It was still a freaken nice temple.

But this made an excellent end to the day. I have never seen anything like it, and to be honest, seeing the gold filled churches of Toledo doesn’t seem to compare to this somehow. I had a really good day thanks to Nong and his Tuk Tuk.

Not many people smoke in Thailand (this is what I saw, hardly anyone did and I hardly saw cigarette butts). Anywho, I was signalling Nong, cos I wanted some. And Nong and his tuk tuk driver friends kept saying “seven, yeah – yeah – yeah, go to Seven” – long story short, Nong suddenly took his tuktuk into town to park outside a 7/11. I only realised then, that they could read the “7″ but not the “Eleven” which was written in English. Managed to buy L&Ms with the most disgusting anti-smoking image … yuck.

Practitioners of the pure Bon “look to a prehistoric Buddha from Tazik (stag-gzig), in Central Asia, as the source of their tradition. The title Tonpa (ston-pa) means ‘teacher’ in the sense of the original founder of a spiritual tradition, who is the source of this revelation. According to Bonpo belief, Tonpa Shenrab was not merely a priest or shaman, but a fully enlightened Buddha (sangs-rgyas)…

The title Shenrab Miwoche means ‘the great human being who is the supreme Shen practioner.’ The ancient word gshen is untranslateble and is sometimes used as a synonym for Bon and Bonpo. Shen was also the name of the clan to which Tonpa Shenrab belonged, that is, dMu-gshen, the celestial Shen. The Shen clan (gshe gdung-rus) continues as one of the principal Bonpo lineages even today. In the early days, transmission of the teachings was often through family lineages.” -Bonpo Dzogchen Teachings.

“Tonpa Shenrab was manifested as Chimed Tsugphud (‘…Immortal [Master] with a Top-knot’) in his previous [incarnation], and Sakyamuni Buddha was a disciple of his called Sangwa Dupa…

After that life, during Tonpa Shenrab’s time, Sakyamuni Buddha was again one of his main disciples, named Lhabu Dampa Tobkarpo… [Sakyamuni Buddha] asked his teacher [Buddha Tonpa Shenrab] what could he do to help sentient beings, and Tonpa Shenrab told him that he should help the people in India, who were following religion with the wrong view. For that purpose Tonpa Shenrab gave Lhabu Dampa Tobkarpo [Sakyamuni Buddha] an initiation so that in [the future] …he would not forget the teachings.

Thus, he was born in India as prince of the Sakya clan and taught following the instructions given previously to him by his teacher, Tonpa Shenrab, benefiting many sentient beings.” (Encyclopedia of Monasticism by William M.
Humility is her greatest magnetism, courage her inspiration, innocence her strength, surprise is her

Humility is her greatest magnetism, courage her inspiration, innocence her strength, surprise is her most beloved tool, wisdom her compassion, humour her love, loyalty her truth, gratitude her power, patience her deliverance and candleflame her companion, for it is a light in the darkness, a pearl amidst the tears. Her purity comes from her love for her creator. For he who finds her breathtakingly beautiful. Her only desire, to please her creator – to be all that she can be in her highest form.

The Goddess holds the Universe within her. Her home the all embracing Andromeda Lotus – the lotus within ones heart. She is the one-in-a-million-chance. The epitome of the anomaly. Herain comes to anyone to teach them to follow their heart. Her energy, all pervading, all encompassing. Thunder is the messenger of the Goddess, water her element, rain dance her ritual, the Leopard her Guardian beast. You will find Herain within everything that exudes feminity. She is in every woman, your mother, your sister, your beloved.

Herain holds the wisdom of Aloneness, and she walks her own path. She caresses the Gods but is subservient to none. Bound by nothing – only existing to love and be loved. She is the gentlest of Gods, like a light drizzle in the midst of spring – the delicate unflowering of lotus. Yet, she holds within her the power of a thunderstorm – always expressed in the most vulnerable and fragile, insightful and intentful, loving and sensuous, nurturing and abundant, expressive and original, surprising and gregarious, wise and wittiest of ways.

Her Magik works in subtlety, and is obvious at the unique moment of truth – where its manifestation can effect the highest teaching – the deepest learning, the most innermost realisations.

She journeys often to the Purelands to learn from the Buddhas. Attaining great satisfaction from the very act of learning about Ultimate Truths and freedom from Illusions. About providence and purpose, the warrior and the monk, the householder and the philosopher, the Ruler and the Ruled. For every being who gave their lives to doing the undone, walking the unwalked, standing apart by pure purpose and not by choice, this is your Goddess.

The secret to life isn’t hidden. It’s the most obvious of the truths. It’s the one that stares you in the face, and because of this, we don’t notice. The Goddess Herain is the embodiment of the miraculous nectar or life. The very same principle that has been the cause for such a thing as romance. To watch chaos locked in a cell of order. The illusion of the silence, the tranquility in the jungle, the divine nature of both birth and death. The experiencing of those inexplicable moments that subtly reveal a greater purpose. These are the origins of the Goddess Herain.

If you wish to be one with the Goddess, walk in the rain, meditate upon the raindrop, for the core of her qualities are inspired by the very purpose of the tears of the sky. She is elemental water and elemental fire – the two working in co-existance.The Goddess manifests through the feminine energies. She takes multiple forms, and visits you through every woman you meet. She is the freedom in ones heart, and when you see the Goddess in others, in yourself, it is a source of immense aspiration, inspiration, and cultivation to be truer to yourself. Be a lamp onto yourself.

Herain is that sensation deep inside of you that whispers about freedom. That sends chills up your spine everytime you break away from your imprisonment. Everytime you make the right choice. She is the spark that teaches you the meaning of liberation, of being complete, being free, self-sustaining.

Herain is the antidote to loneliness. She holds the wisdom of Aloneness. She shows you that you are the entire Universe, that you are immense love itself, that your purpose is simply that – pure purpose.

She most reveals herself in the midst of the free-spirited, of the ever aware, and in those surfacing from the darkness. A lamp to your soul, she is most precious when you are in the darkness, striving effortlessly to rain upon you a plethora of kisses, caresses, embraces, lovebites, sweet surprises, and the wisdom of the Awake.

The essence of the Goddess, and the majesty of her boon, is to show you your own self-sustenance. Your own completeness. In accepting her gift, her healing, you attain liberation from suffering. From Attachment. From Loneliness. She places you in the most fortiduous situation to gather all courage and continue your quest for wisdom.

In every woman, is the mother, the wife, the lover, the sister, the whore, the friend. Each of these qualities is equally precious, and equally to be treasured. When you can see the mark of femininity in this light – when you understand the power of its vulnerability – the profoundness of it – then you will see the Goddess in All things.

I went with a friend today while she got a tattoo. Kicker is that -I- designed it for her! It was so incredibly flattering and just unbelievable. The guy that did all mine did it for her, and it came out awesome. <33333
