Gli alieni sono già tra noi sulla terra, dicono gli scienziati del governo bulgaro che affermano che sono già in contatto con la vita extraterrestre.

Lavorano per decifrare un complesso insieme di simboli il cui invio è in corso, hanno detto gli scienziati dello Space Research Institute.
Essi sostengono che gli alieni stanno attualmente rispondendo a 30 domande poste loro.

Lachezar Filipov, vice direttore dello Space Research Institute dell’Accademia Bulgara delle Scienze, ha confermato la ricerca.

Ha detto che i ricercatori del Centro di analisi hanno analizzato 150 Cerchi nel Grano (Crop Circles) da tutto il mondo, con i quali credono di risolvere i problemi.

“Gli alieni sono tutti intorno a noi e ci guardano tutto il tempo”, ha detto ai media bulgari Filipov.
“Essi non sono ostili verso di noi, anzi, vogliono aiutarci, ma non siamo cresciuti abbastanza al fine di stabilire un contatto diretto con loro”.

Mr Filipov detto che anche la sede della Chiesa cattolica, il Vaticano, ha accettato che gli alieni esistito.

Ha detto che gli esseri umani non sarebbero stati in grado di stabilire un contatto con gli extraterrestri attraverso le onde radio, ma con la forza del pensiero.

“La razza umana è certamente intenzionata ad avere un contatto diretto con gli alieni nei prossimi 10 o 15 anni”, ha detto.
“Gli extraterrestri sono critici del comportamento amorale del popolo in riferimento alle interferenze degli umani ‘nei processi della natura.”

La pubblicazione dei ricercatori della realzione BAS riguardante la comunicazione con gli alieni giunge nel bel mezzo di una polemica sul ruolo, la fattibilità, e la riforma dell’Accademia Bulgara delle Scienze.

La scorsa settimana si è giunti ad un acceso dibattito tra il ministro delle Finanze bulgaro, Simeone Djankov, e il presidente Georgi Parvanov.

The Bulgaria’s Parliament voted yesterday to make a significant amendment to the Corporate Income Taxation Act. As of 2010, Bulgarian gambling laws will stipulate that all gambling activities in the country will be subjected to the same tax – a flat rate of 15%. Right now, sports betting is taxed at 10%, while all games of chance, including lottery, casino games, and bingo, are taxed at 12%.

Quarterly taxes levied on roulette tables and gambling machines will also be raised as of January 1st. The current tax rate is 300 leva every three months for machines, and 18,000 leva every three months for roulette tables. These amounts will be increased to 500 leva and 22,000 leva, respectively. Какво? Как? Защо? (Накратко)- След като станах Z-Lister в горепосочения сайт, получих пакет, който съдържаше нещата на снимката.

Ама как го спечели това?- Нищо не съм печелил, при получаване на Z-List статус в сайта, от Lockerz Ви изпращат тениската. (Означава, че е подарък, не награда)

Колко струва?- Нищичко. От Хамериката до тук една стотинка не ми е поискал никой.

Пакета съдържаше- Тениска (Семпла и качествено направена. Като цяло ми харесва, направена е от Next Level Apparel), т.нар. Сноуборд стикер (нещото в средата), който и в момента си стои така, все още не съм решил къде да го лепна, а може и да не го пипам въобще. И другото е просто картонче от Lockerz.

Ами общо взето това е, наскоро поръчах някои нещица (неможах да докопам някои по- големи, поради големия интерес км сайта), които около Коледа трябва да пристигнат, така че ще пиша пак.

Thanksgiving Day dinner in Sofia:  Pumpkin Gnocchi served up with a big spoonful of lyutinitsa and shredded kashkaval cheese.  I make the gnocchi all by myself which is probably why they look um, like a five-year old’s craft project.  Anyhow, they taste great and look so-so.

The one thing was that I spent so much time making each one of these little gnocchi I forgot about what I was going to put on them.  One recipe I looked up suggested a browned butter and sage sauce.  But that was too much for me.  So I looked in my fridge and there was the jar of roasted tomato and red pepper sauce (the lyutinitsa) and kashkaval cheese.

I guess that means that I had a Thanksgiving inspired Bulgarian influenced dinner.  And before anyone starts felling bad for me because I am in Bulgaria and I am not with my family, I should remind you that I had a big Thanksgiving dinner last weekend at school.  Oh, and something you don’t know is that I am having some Bulgarian friends over for Thanksgiving tomorrow night as well–so there will be plenty of Thanksgiving in my life.

It’s not like the only way to celebrate Thanksgiving is with a Turkey.  Heck the Obama Thanksgiving meal earlier this week was vegetarian.  (Um and just to add my own commentary: that’s so great.  Way to go Obamas.  Not serving turkey on Thanksgiving is a pretty bold move!) So I am happy to each pumpkin gnocchi and I’m just as American as someone eating a turkey, stuffing and all of the fixing right now.

There may however be a reason that gnocchi never ever broke into the American food scene like lasagna or tacos did–they are difficult to make. The recipe seems pretty straight forward and the ingredients are basis.  But the actual dough seems to me to be far from straight forward.  It’s unlike any kind of dough that I am used to working with.  It was very sticky but all of the recipes I read said that you don’t want to add too much flour or your gnocchi will be tough.  So I worked as best I could with the glue-y sticky dough.  I have to say even though the gnocchi dough was sticky and I probably made the gnocchi bigger than I should have as a result the gnocchi still turned out great.

Okay, okay I think I’ve said enough about my  slightly irreverent Thanksgiving Day gnocchi. Here’s what I really want to say: no matter what you had to eat tonight, I would like to wish you a very happy and healthy Thanksgiving.

My students and I had a big debate about babysitting recently.  The they didn’t get it.  They were rather shocked by the idea that teenagers would look after little children in States. They kept saying things like: why would you trust a teenager with your child? why would a mom do that? teenagers aren’t responsible enough for this. Then they started telling that in Bulgaria grandmothers watch small children.  They are more reliable and trust worthy.  I tried to explain the American mentality behind teenagers babysitting.

I am a long time babysitter.  In the States it’s a pretty common thing but by the time I was in high school I had regular families that I babysat for.  I knew who liked what, which songs to sing, how to trick children into bed, which book would put them to sleep and just how to get someone back to sleep if he or she woke up.  In one case after school from 3-6pm four days a week I went to same family’s house and did my homework until the toddler woke up from his nap (his mom working at her graphic design and adverting job a few rooms away in the office); I’d get him up, hold him, give him a snack in his high-chair and then we’d play until mom came out.

It’s a pretty routine kind of job.  You show up and smile.  You listen to directions–feed them this, put them to bed by x time, they can’t go in here, watch out if you play this game it has little pieces and call this number if you have a problem we’ll be there.  And in a world before cell phones I said okay but also told who ever I was babysitting for: don’t worry my MoM and dAd are home too so if there was a problem I could call them.  Then the parents leave and all hell breaks loose–kids everywhere, begging to do, each and watch things on tv that their parents never let them do and you do your best to manage the chaos. It’s for this reason that babysitting isn’t for everyone but I like kids and for the most part they like me.  I also liked getting paid to watch little kids.  At between $3 and maybe $5 an hour it didn’t add up fast but three or four hours later I’d have between $9 and$20 and that’s pretty good when your expenses are more or less limited to movies, cds, make-up, sweeter-than-sweet-coffee at the local hang out and the clothes your parents wont buy you.

So teenagers babysit in the States because they are young and energetic.  We play games, chase children and have fun doing.  Parents talk to parents and girls in the neighborhood are recommended to babysit. It starts out small and then may build to something bigger.  Teenagers are also cheep labor.  We don’t demand very much money because we don’t really know that we can and for most of us some money is better than nothing.  It’s not as if our expenses are very high–so we take what we get and are generally happy with this.

The other piece I think is that in America’s history families were bigger and lots of teenagers were looking after their siblings.  Then when families expanded Westward generational family ties changed and the role of older people in society changed as well.  Their value changed.  Youth, energy and vitality were valued over experience, age and wisdom.  Then with the rise of cities the family unit changed again.  A dependence on neighbors increased and I understand that babysitting as we knew developed seriously during the Great Depression as more women began to enter the workforce.

But none of this convinced my students.  They couldn’t get over the idea that somehow teenage girls are responsible enough to watch after someone else’s children.  I mentioned to the group of four students I was talking to that if I had children, I would trust them to babysit children.  Their eyes got big.  I tried to further my case. I told them that they were well spoken, that they turned in their work on time, that they got to school and class on time and that based on their appearances they seemed to do a good job looking after themselves. And that for these reasons I would be happy to trust my children to their care for a couple of hours.  Didn’t fly.  They remained completely unconvinced.

In fact, they stood firm in their belief that grandmothers were the best people to care for babies and children.  It’s not often that I come to an impase with my students but when it came to babysitting there was no reaching them.  I didn’t expect them to pick up babysitting right then and there–it’s simply not part of the culture in Bulgaria but usually these studnets are able to arrive a place of understanding.  In this case, it was no go.  And, they even got me thinking–why did anyone trust me to babysit their children when I was 15, 16 and 17 years old?

Autor de varias decenas de libros e Nacional de Investigación Científica (CNRS) desde 1967, este destacado lingüista es también historiador, antropólogo y filólogo.

Para Todorov, entre todas las clases de muros que el hombre ha inventado para separar y dividir, el Muro de Berlín perteneció a una categoría rara. “Mientras la mayoría de los muros tienen por objetivo impedir que los extranjeros penetren en un país, el Muro de Berlín intentaba impedir que los ciudadanos se fueran”, afirma.

-En lugar de comenzar por lo malo que había en los regímenes comunistas de Europa del Este, ¿por qué no hablar de sus ventajas o de sus bondades?

-En los países del Este había una serie de protecciones del individuo que, en teoría, debían haberle permitido vivir sin sobresaltos. El desempleo no existía, la medicina era gratis, la escuela también y las vacaciones eran baratas. Pero, con el tiempo, todas esas protecciones se fueron transformando en una especie de sistema de seguridad, que hace pensar en las prisiones. Los presos no se preocupan por saber si tendrán algo para comer. Saben que no los podrán echar y que si llueve no van a mojarse. Pero ¿y lo demás? Esa ausencia de desafíos individuales, sumada al derrumbe de las estructuras estatales en los últimos años del comunismo, provocó una sensación de agobio en la gente, que condujo, inevitablemente, a la caída del Muro de Berlín, en 1989.

-¿Quiénes fueron los que consiguieron adaptarse con más facilidad a la transición entre dos mundos tan diferentes? ¿Los jóvenes?

-Para nada. Fueron las personas que antes habían tenido el poder las que se adaptaron con mayor rapidez. Porque conocían todos los mecanismos necesarios. Como en la ex Unión Soviética. Ellos fueron los que compraron, por ejemplo, todas las fábricas. En poco tiempo, volvieron a convertirse en los patrones. El resto de la población padeció los efectos de un foso cultural que le impidió adaptarse a las reglas del capitalismo. También sucedió que la irrupción de los adelantos tecnológicos del Oeste arrasaron con todas las estructuras existentes en el Este. ¿Cómo podía esa gente competir con la tecnología occidental? Durante algunos años, en Bulgaria no hubo producción propia. La gente iba a Turquía, compraba cosas y las revendía en el país. No había quedado nada…

-A su juicio, ¿cuáles son las secuelas más graves que padecen las sociedades poscomunistas?

-Las generaciones que han crecido bajo regímenes comunistas estuvieron sometidas y participaron en lo que yo llamo la mentira general. Todo el mundo estaba convencido (erróneamente) de que los ideales sólo podían ser el camuflaje del egoísmo. Por fin, cuando se produjo la desaparición de esos regímenes, el mal estaba hecho: la gente no consiguió creer en nada más.

-¿Por qué el comunismo necesitó utilizar ese discurso casi religioso, esa devoción pública del ciudadano, en vez de contentarse con la coerción, como otras dictaduras?

-Porque fue infinitamente más eficaz. El totalitarismo nazi fue particularmente virulento, pero sólo consiguió mantenerse doce años, en un estado de guerra casi permanente, primero en Alemania y después en el exterior. El comunismo duró más de 70 años.

-En su libro El hombre desplazado, parece preguntarse qué hubiera pasado con usted si se hubiese quedado en Bulgaria.

-Yo era muy joven cuando me fui de ese país, de modo que no tuve tiempo de cometer demasiados errores. Pero para comprender a esa sociedad fue necesario admitir que yo también podría haber sido capaz de todas las cobardías cometidas por la gente en un régimen totalitario, todos esos compromisos, esos silencios que son la condición indispensable de la supervivencia en ese tipo de sistema.

In case you are thinking of purchasing the new global version of Amazon’s Kindle for Christmas, be aware that there are still quite a few places that the global version will NOT work.  I was disappointed to find that the new version still will not work in my country.

Apparently the new global version will only work in SOME countries.   I thought it would be helpful to most expats to have a complete list of which countries it will, or will not work in (below).

It’s also interesting to note the PATTERN of groups of countries where the Kindle doesn’t work–some countries probably lack satellite coverage or delivery systems, while others probably don’t WANT readers to be able to download whatever they want by satellite.

Authorities in Sofia want to make official problems they have with Macedonia and have been exerting pressure on Swedish Presidency of the EU and their demands to the fulfilled before the decision on the start of Macedonia EU accession talks. According to unofficial information Bulgaria wants from the EU Presidency the already signed declaration for friendship between the two countries to be turned into an international contract to guarantee Macedonia would observe the taken engagements despite the aim is probably to leave the impression that Macedonia has a problem with neighboring, the newspaper writes.
The issue concerns a declaration, signed in 1999 by the then prime ministers of Macedonia and Bulgaria Ljubco Georgievski and Ivan Kostov.
With the view to Greece’s demands on changing Macedonia’s name and the name of the language it is possible this second part tot be the reason for the demand the declaration, which has been observed neither by Bulgaria nor by Macedonia, to be treated in a new way.

Having spent quiet some time living with locals in Sofia, I know a thing or too about bargains – in this post I will cover:

Cheap Travel Inside Bulgaria
Most real backpackers fly by the seat of their pants – well here’s one time when it’s worth not doing that.

There are two main destinations in Bulgaria – Sofia and the extremely popular seaside city of Varna on the black sea coast.If you try catching a bus to Varna, expect to pay 14 Euros and be stuck in an uncomfortable bus for 5 hours. A train is somewhat cheaper, but again, slow.

If you fly however, and you book two weeks in advance with wizzair (which you find through http://www.whichvudget.com) you can enjoy a short 1 hour flight for just 10 euros! If you leave it till last minute expect to pay through the nose. Only catch is the carbon emissions and impact on our earth are much worse than a train/bus.

Also, when using public transport, usually you have to pay 50 euro cents for each trip. However if you go to a ticket booth and ask for a ‘talon’ a pack of ten, you only pay 3.25 euros for ten. If you stay long term you can get an electronic pass which is even cheaper.

Free Unlimited Booze (no joke, no exageration)
I’m not joking. Get a membership at any casino in Sofia (passport required at sign up) and you have access to free unlimited booze. Why? because they want you to get drunk and spend your money of course! Doesn’t mean you have to tho. Mingle with the crowd and don’t be noticed!!

Cheap food, shop where the locals do
If you really want to save on costs – cook in the hostel kitchen. If you want cheap vegetables, you can’t beat the ‘lady’s market’ (Corner Stephan Stambolov and Tsar Samuel), where if you shop around, you can buy 1 kilo of green peppers for .20 euro cents, a kilo of apples for .35 euro cents and so on.

Only the fresh produce is cheap there tho. If you want cheap eggs, bread, milk, juice and everything else, there is a cheap supermarket called Billa (part of underground crossing/metro station where Tsar Osvoboditel Blvd meets Vasil Levski Blvd – look for the huge rotating yellow shopping bag) you need to look for the brand called ‘Clever’. Bring your own bags tho otherwise you pay a fee.

Cheap clothes, laptops
Get some good, reliable warm or otherwise clothes at the Lady’s markets – at least 40% cheaper than the stores. For the laptops – you may want one to take advantage of free wifi – you can pick up small portable notebooks for about 150 euros second hand in a shop (on Tsar Simeon street, near Stephan Stombolov Street – near ladies market)

The main national parks all have free wifi take your laptop or phone there and psonge legally.

Staying and teaching in Bulgaria- The unique way to get truly cheap flights (requires a bit of effort, but is worth it)

Getting to Greece for only 15 Euros
Catch the train from Sofia to Thessalonikia and book two weeks in advance and that’s the price you’ll pay!
If you want to go to Athens they will quote you 50 leuros however – you don’t have to pay that. Get to Thessaloniki for 15 euros and then if you book your ticket from there to go on to Athens its only 15 euros a saving of 20 euros!

• Con cosas como esta ya no se sabe que pensar, por un lado todas las supuestas pruebas del cambio climático y por el otro lado esta clase de sucesos. El principal problema es que no se puede estar seguro de ninguna de las pruebas, ni a favor ni en contra, pues todo pudo haber sido manipulado. Espero que se libere más información para poder generar conclusiones más certeras en el tema.

Respuesta; Alt2end, de eso se trata, de pensar. Es cierto que en internet pegamos noticias ,  sin saber en muchas ocasiones de donde han salido las primeras fuentes, o si estas son del todo fíables. Pero hemos de tener encuenta que las fuentes oficiales nunca nos van ha contar todas las cosas tal y como son. ¿Por qué?, existen varías razones; imaginate por un momento que debido al alineamiento  con el centro de la galaxia, se estuvieran produciendo cambios (y que nos sabemos que consecuencias traeran estos cambios) en toda la galaxia, y muy en particular en nuestro sistema solar, pues nos estámos posicionando poco a poco en el centro de dicho alineamiento( del 21 al 22 de diciembre 2012), pues bien imagina que algo yá está ocurriendo y ellos no pueden hacer nada por evitarlo…¿tú crees que nos lo dirian?, para que , ¿para crear el panico?..Ellos prefierirían(ellos me refiero a los poderes ocultos que realmente manejan el mundo a su antojo, sean ETs, humanos algo egoistillas , diablillos ó de todo un poco,como quieras llamarlos, yo les llamo ellos) prepararse creando lo necesario para poder seguir gobernando( se habla de bases subterraneas, y cosas así). Pues bién lo que están creando cuesta dinero, y que mejor que aprovechar el miedo al cambio climatico para cobrar impuestos ecologicos por todas partes. Sin contar que la mayoria de las nuevas compañíasde  energías renovables están en poder de los de siempre(ellos), …pero sería peor  pensar;  que ellos ya conocen energías mas limpias aún y economicas  que las actuales renovables que nos venden; las cuales son muy caras en su instalación y aparte de  tener un fuerte impacto visual, siguen siendo dependientes de las otras (aúnque en menor medida)ambiental…pero claro el nuevo negocio es este,..

En fin por, lo menos cierto es que todo esto está concienciando ha mucha gente (que nunca se había parado ha pensar en la salud del Planeta que le acoge….) que ciertamente vivimos en un organismo vivo, del  cual nosotros formamos parte, y le estamos dañando….y  ya de paso se hace algo por sanar a este…aunque sea con engaños y por otros intereses nada altruistas…

Pero como te decía al principio se trata de pensar y no dejarnos engañar como corderitos por una clase politica, y otros personajes con cierta importancia mediática,  que en su mayoria está corrompida (unos son corruptos por su propio egoismo, otros les sirven conscientemente a ellos, acambio de poder, fama, dinero.., otros quizá lo hacen incosncientemente, ya por ser engañados o ser controlados mentalmente..quién sabe…) y  que se han convertido en una nueva clase parasitaria, y como parasitos nos sacan la sangre casi hasta dejarnos vacios( de ideas, pensamiento, esperanzas..y por supuesto dinero, y quien sabe quizá hasta de nuestra energía vital..).

Crean nuevas guerras, nuevos enemigos, nos meten el miedo y luego ellos mismos nos protegen a coste de  recotar nuestros derechos, tales como el de intimidad, pues ya nos tienen a todos controlados; por ejemplo con los moviles , pues es obligartorio tener identificado el telefono…..o por medio de la gripe H1/N1, que aparte de vender millones de vacunas a todos los gobiernos del Mundo, independientemente de que fuera un plan para disminuir las propias defensas inmunitarias de las personas vacunadas, con vista a que en un futuro mucha gente muriera de simples enfermedades, que antes les eran inofensivas…sería una sociedad dependiente de las  farmaceuticas,…vitaminas y defensas  serían necesarias comprarlas para sobrevivir, los que no pueden pagar a morir, y así tienen un mundo más SOSTENIBLE ,para sus nuevo orden Mundial… y lo curioso es que estos nuevos medicamentos las crearían seguramente los mismos laboratorios que elaboran la vacuna…quién sabe.

Con esto y ya termino pues creo que comienzo a divagar demasiado, y en el fondo lo único que quiero decir es lo siguiente.

• Pensemos por nosotros mismos, aprendamos poco a poco a no dejarnos engañar, ni  intimidar por aquellos que son puestos (por nosotros mismos), en el poder para servirnos, y no nosotros servirles e ellos…
• ….aprendamos a ser seres humanos auténticos  y responsables ;moral y éticamente, para no necesitar de tanta burocarcia, y ser una sociedad más creativa, libre y altruista, en la cual, el bién estar personal, favorece al bién estar común .
• Y no hablo de comunismos ni nada parecido, hablo de que con todo el dinero que utiliza el ESTADO, para pagar y favorecer a toda su clase PARASITARIA, se podrían crear cantidad de servicios al ciudadano; guarderias, colegios,hospitales, etc.. de primera calidad, y no como ahora que el tabajador que no tiene apenas para llegar a fin de mes, no puede pagar una educación de calidad a sú hijo,  y encima, su hijo tiene que ir a una miera( metáforicamente) de colegio, mientras el politico que esta puesto por su voto, y pagado por usted (con nuevos impuestos cada vez más abusivos…), el hijo de éste, vá a los mejores colegios. No tendrían que existir colegios buenos, regulares y malos todos tendrian que ser buenos y gratis y así con muchas otras cosas(guarderías, hospitales, estc….).
• Pero realmente se trata de ser una sociedad honesta, así ellos se quedarían sólos, sin nadie que les siguiera el juego de corrupción a cambio dee..vamos, que pensemos, investigemos, convirtamonos en aventureros de la vida cotidiana, y mientras nos convertimos en mejores  personas (moral y eticamente ,  y creamos nuestra propia filosofía de vida.. nuestra Teosofía…), también  aprendemos a investigar en nuestro interior, pues hay están las respuestas que realmente nos van ayudar a comprender ; quienes somos realmente…
• Tienen miedo, pues con mayor conciencia ya no les servimos, ya no somos tan faciles de manejar, por eso  y como ya saben que el cambio se esta proc¡duciendo, van hacer todo lo posible para tenernos controlados…
• Hemos de saber que tán sólo; con el interés por vivir en la verdad,  amar  la vida; y no vendernos, por una materialiad en exceso o degradada…sé nos abrirá de nuevo la capacidad natural que tenemos de comunicarnos telepáticamente entre nosotros,  que es una de otras muchas capacidades con las que contamos,..
• … y que por el envorregamiento y materialismo exagerado, habíamos olvidado…

Investiga, piensa, reflexiona, actúa…

SE CONSCIENTE, VIVE…TAMBIEN CON TU SUBCONSCIENTE…

On Saturday evening at our weekly Eucharist, Christ the Redeemer welcomed Rev. Trey and Jennifer Lyon, and their son, Gabe from Town View Baptist Church in Kennesaw. Trey and Jenn were in Pleven, Bulgaria in September, participating in a mission trip to Bulgarian orphanages. Christ the Redeemer sponsored one of the orphanage visits. During the presentation, Jenn shared about the country of Bulgaria and the state-run orphanages that are operated there. The country is having a difficult time establishing themselves economically, given world conditions and the fall of communism in the 1980’s. Their orphanages are run by the various local governments and are in varying stages of disrepair and all seem to exhibit a lack of staff and funding.

The Lyons work with Paul and Judy Ridgway, who are Americans in full-time missionary service to Bulgaria. They have been there for many years and have good relationships with the authorities in each group home. Jenn also told of the visit to Pleven, and the congregation saw pictures of the precious children in that facility. The facility houses children ages 4 to 7, and they all enjoyed the party that was supplied by Christ the Redeemer’s donations.

They described a specific story from Pleven: Christ the Redeemer had chosen a luau theme for the party and decorations, so the goodie bags contained Hawaiian-style leis, flowery stickers, toys and a miniature beach ball for each child. Jenn had told the CTR ladies that there would be 60 children in Pleven, and they provided 61 goodie bags just in case an extra one was needed. As the mission team was preparing for the party, bible story and craft time, Judy mentioned that they’d just found out a 62nd child was at the facility. The child had just been brought there that day after being released from a local hospital. In the last room where they were setting, the team was opening the goodie bags and getting them ready for the children, as this group of children had some developmental disabilities. Judy mentioned that there were now 62 kids, and they would be one bag short. The team was prepared with additional overflow items, so they quickly put together a bag for the new child. Judy was disappointed that there were no extra beach balls realizing this child would not have one. As they unpacked the goodie bags, they found one of our bags had been packed with two miniature beach balls – so all of the children, including the new resident, would get one.

I guess we shouldn’t be surprised at that. After all, the God who knows when a sparrow falls to the ground (Matthew 10:29) would provide for that new child to have the same special toy as the other children. Trey also talked about how this trip brought together several local churches in support of the team’s mission, as a great example of the body of Christ doing small things for the kingdom. Christ the Redeemer is looking forward to supporting this mission next year when they return to Bulgaria.

Aflata la o altitudine de 925 metri deasupra nivelului marii, statiunea montana Bansko are cel mai bun si cel mai modern centru de ski din  Bulgaria. In Bansko se schiaza la inaltimi de peste 2500m, pe o retea de partii de peste 65 km.

Sezonul de ski in Bansko dureaza pana in 15 mai (cele 44 de tunuri de zapada ajuta la prelungirea sezonului). De curand, Bansko a devenit un loc preferat pentru snowboard gratie facilitatilor dedicate.

Partiile de ski sunt situate in 2 arii – Chalin Valog si Shiligarnika si se afla pe versantii nordici ai muntilor Pirin. Noua telegondola care porneste din Bansko catre partii le face usor-accesibile. Exista variante multiple pentru ski-pass-uri valabile in intreaga retea de transport pe cablu.

Pantele muntelui ofera conditii pentru toate categoriile de schiori (de la incepatori pana la cei de performanta). Si transportul pe cablu in retea este bine dezvoltat existand telegondole, teleschiuri si telescaune de pana la 8 locuri. Multe dintre hoteluri dispun de shuttle-bus-uri gratuite catre partii.

Pe langa domeniul skiabil, orasul Bansko se remarca prin arhitectura sa romantica si traditionala. Stradutele inguste, casutele de piatra fortificate ce aparau o data locuitorii de invaziile otomane cat si restaurantele tipice bulgaresti ‘Mehana’ sunt un punct de atractie pentru cei mai putini impatimiti de ski. Intregul peisaj autohton in care vechiul contrasteaza cu noul este dominat de departe de impozantii Munti Pirin (Vf. Vichren – 2914 m).
