I had brunch at School yesterday afternoon and I have to say I was very disappointed. Not only did we have to wait over an hour to get our food, but it was less than satisfactory when it did arrive. My eggs were overcooked, and judging by the cold, shriveled potatoes on my plate, it was obvious the food had been sitting around for at least 20 minutes.

Despite the slow service, I will however give the servers an A for effort. After waiting for about 20 minutes, they brought us some complimentary mini pancakes, which I must say were rather good. Based on the quality of the pancakes and the hype this place seems to get, I would be willing to give this place another shot before I mark it with a permanent FAIL.

A dear, dear friend for cow got married recently and I made a cute little hair piece for her. Cow will like to think the piece is part of the reason of her big smile on her big day.

While U2 are remembering The Unforgettable Fire on its 25th anniversary, a bunch of our @U2 staff spent some time last month remembering a different album: The Joshua Tree. It was part of a staff meetup that coincided with U2’s concert in Las Vegas. We met in Las Vegas the night before the concert and paid a visit to Fremont St., site of the video for “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For.” We saw the concert itself on October 23rd. The day after the concert, we made a pilgrimage out into the California desert to see the real Joshua Tree itself (which fell over back in 2000) and Zabriskie Point, site of the cover photo from The Joshua Tree.

It took a couple weeks, but our best photos and videos are now online, and you’re welcome to share in what we saw during a terrific weekend in the great southwest.

If you call yourselves the Burglar Bunch, mug shots are only so far away.

The L.A. County District Attorney’s office has formally charged five alleged members of the Hollywood Hills Burglar Bunch with various felony offenses.

Nick Prugo has been charged with felony first degree residential burglary of Audrina Patridge, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Rachel Bilson, Orlando Bloom, Brian Austin Green, Megan Fox and L.A. businessman Nick Deleo.

Recent burglaries of Kourtney Kardashian and Stephanie Pratt could not be definitively tied to the Burglar Bunch, but are still being looked into.

Based on uncovered evidence, he and his cohorts are also believed to have been casing Britney Spears, Jessica Biel, Hayden Panettiere, Bette Midler, Mariah Carey, Shania Twain, Goldie Hawn, Rihanna and Heidi Montag for potential heists.

In addition to Prugo, Diana Tamayo (second from left) has been charged with felony first degree residential burglary of starlets Lindsay Lohan and Ashley Tisdale.

Courtney Ames (second from right) has been charged with felony first degree residential burglary of Paris Hilton earlier this year.

Alexis Neiers, a.k.a. Alexis Taylor (far right), has been charged with felony first degree residential burglary of Orlando Bloom.

Roy Lopez, Jr. (not pictured) has been charged with felony first degree residential burglary of Paris Hilton.

Alleged ringleader Rachel Lee has yet to be charged for some reason. It may be a matter of determining what charges officials believe best fit the crime – and will stick.

So much to say, so few words, such little time, lifetime, coin of life! Every minutes that passes by we pay it with the coin of life, it is gone and will not be back so let,s enjoy what we have left!

Sattar, bless the in-laws that surround you, that are part of your life, be good to them, as I know sometimes you can show being miserable! 

So many little events make life more easy, some people make our life more easy, and you are one of them, I am grateful for your presence.  I will recommend you and Jenny have weekly showers and baths without using chemicals, simply wash with water, it is very important because it will permits your body to get rid of the excess chemicals which it absorbs through the clothing’s not being properly spin and rinsed out, and as well from the free radicals hitting the body all day!

Your uncle Leo is doing acceptably, the dogs upset since we could not take 1 week off, away from the house, and cats are on their good behaviour and I waiting to hear from the editor!

I have shared with you my deepest thoughts, and feelings hoping you will enliven them through your wife and children, please give my regards to Isoletta and Vincenco and the bunch.

Normally I would be more practical and say  ’cilantro’ or something (I know it’s not a flower, but if someone delivered a bunch of something I would want to be able to eat it)… Every friday I would see bunches peonies at the St. Lawrence market, but they were never labeled, and it was too busy to ask. So beautiful. I can be frivolous sometimes too.

This is a card that could be for any occasion, but I’ve decided I’m sending it to me! I had nearly 1 hours sleep last night and now I know why they call it beauty sleep- boy do I need some!! Even the miracle concealer is not hiding much. Before I slip into a downward spiral of feeling sorry for myself, this morning I’m counting my blessings; I have 5 incredible kids downstairs all trying to be ‘very quiet because mummy is ill’! They’re trying to decide what to bake for me to make me feel better (bless them!). so actually, kids, this card is for you guys; you’re like those flowers, brightening my day and even though I don’t love being jumped on (to check whether I’m awake!-am now!) you’re all a pretty fine bunch. The Baker 5- you rock!!!

The U.S. leads the world in the sending of spam, according to a study. The study by IT security solutions provider Sophos showed that spam originating in Russia has dropped significantly. It also claimed that some 16.5 percent of all spam mails sent in the second quarter of this year came from the United States.

Russian spammers – previously a highly active bunch – were only responsible for 3.2 percent of all spam sent, which puts them in ninth place on the list.

Second place went to Brazil (11.1 percent), followed by Turkey (5.2) and India (5.0).

Thanks to Sarah and her comment on an earlier entry It’s Facebook Official, I thought it would be time to make a fan page for Circle City Girl (Sarah, now you can click the like button all you want now *insert smile*).

Of course no one is forcing you to become a fan but I know it is hard to keep up with a bunch of different portals at the same time. At least for me it is and I wish that there was one place just to check everything. Thus the reason for the fan page, to make your life easier! So if you have facebook and you are interested in getting updates that way, feel free to become a fan.

I went out with my sister, Kerby, to take pictures. Kerby has a great eye, but never has wanted to learn the technical side of digital photography. I don’t blame her.

I was the same way and for the most part, still am. I’ve always resisted diving to deeply into the technical know-how, thinking that it would sacrifice of the artistic exploration. That’s probably a bunch of bunkum, but that was my thinking.

I don’t know if that’s Kerby’s feeling toward it, or if she just wants to do her own thing. Probably the latter.

When I got that phone call I seriously wanted to slam the phone down and run to my room.

Thoughts running through my mind during the telephone call: HELP OUT WITH A YOUTH TRACK PROGRAM?!?!?!? Can she possibly be SERIOUS?!?!?  I stopped babysitting because I reached the realization that I DON’T like kids. Now that I’ve agreed to help out I have to spend every Tuesday and Thursday with a bunch of little brats? What am I getting myself into?

Yeah, that’s about it. She asked me to help coach the Blue by U track program with Kevin and Cliff who had already spent time coaching for a week and a half. Last year she had a group of children only half the size of the group this year. She was in over her head. But just a little bit.

So, I said “sure!” …and then I wanted to crawl into a hole and never come out. She sounded desperate, and that won me over. It wasn’t that I spoke before I thought (I’ve learned that thinking before speaking is essential in this world), it was that I truly wanted to help out. I’m glad I said “sure!”

A month later, here I am. The program is over (well, they have a meet on Thursday, but I have plans with friends that day so I am unable to attend) and I’m really glad that I offered my services. I met a great bunch of kids (and sure, a few pips here and there). The girls basically worshiped me and the boys never stopped trying to race me with hopes of beating me (I may have crushed their spirits a bit). The coaches thought Cliff, Kevin, Christian and I were experts on everything having to do with track. I guess we all kind of are. We’re all running nerds.

All in all, it was a great experience. The kids I got to work with were great (for the most part). The girls that acted bratty around the boys (Cliff, Kevin and Christian) ended up being absolute sweethearts to me. The boys that were troublemakers for me ended up loving all of the older boys. I was just like the girls when I was little. I didn’t want anything to do with boys, and whenever I saw an older girl (like the age I am now) I wanted to be their best friend. That’s exactly what these girls did to me. They wouldn’t leave me alone. It was really neat.

I’m glad I volunteered. Not only can I walk away from the track with a smile on my face, but I can also put this on any resumé I make up in the future with Coach Jen as my reference. She suckered me into all this, and I’m really glad she did. I had a blast.

Bunch commenced in 2003. Originally it was only a few London College of Printing graduates who shared a passion for design, but now it had grown diversely into a collaborative group of nine creatives varying from illustrators, 2d animators and 3d artists etc. They operate out of London, Zagreb and Singapore.

These are both very good, in particular the bottom one. It’s a fantastic site, this particular section showcases the experiments of various designers and other creatives like you and me; taking the “Bunch” logo and finding a new exciting way to reproduce it visually. As the design agency decided to rethink their “corporate identity…….and base it around the overarching theme of ‘Made in Bunch”. Well known icons in graphic design such as Si Scott and Frost Design also took part in this project.

Yeah, I was just thinking how much traffic you would get if you made your tags every tag on the side of the wordpress.com homepage, and realized how pissed people would be after discovering you couldn’t care less about lifestyle or whatever. So I just thought of a javascript application where you just copy and paste your wordpress blog page, and it creates a bunch of tags relevant tags by putting a comma after every word, so every word you type becomes a tag. *goes and programs*
