Tauchen Sie in die Welt der Raumfahrt ein und lauschen Sie den spannenden Berichten des Moonwalkers über seine Erlebnisse auf dem Mond. <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:&#34;color:black;" lang="FR">Charles M<span> </span><strong>Charles „Charli   Charles Moss Duke</strong> (03. </span><span style="font-family:&#34;">Oktober 1935 in Charlotte, North Carolina) ist einehemaliger amerikanischer Astronaut. Er war der zehnte Mensch (von zwölf), der den Mond betrat. Nach seinem Studium als Luftfahrtingenieur wurde er 1965 Ausbilder an der Testpilotschule der US Air Force. 1966 wurde Duke in die Astronautengruppe der NASA aufgenommen. Er war Capcom (verantwortlicher Astronaut im Missionskontrollzentrum) bei der ersten Mondlandung (Apollo 11) und stand somit in Funkverbindung mit Neil Armstrong und Buzz Aldrin. Darauf war er Pilot der Landefähre „Orion“ von<br />
Apollo 16 unter dem Kommando von John Watts Young, mit dem weiteren Crewmitglied Thomas Mattingly.<br />
</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;line-height:150%;"><span style="font-family:&#34;"> Zu dieser fünften bemannten Mondlandung hielt er sich vom 16. – 27. April 1972 während drei Exkursionen insgesamt rund 20 Stunden auf der freien Mondoberfläche auf. <span style="color:black;">Am 3. Oktober 2008 berichtet „Charlie“ Duke in einem 90minütigen Diavortrag über seine Erlebnisse auf dem Mond und seine Arbeit bei der NASA. Ein Simultandolmetscher übersetzt den Vortrag ins Deutsche. Nach dem Event steht der Astronaut noch für Fragen zur Verfügung.</span></span></p>

Pois não me cansa mostrar maravilhas da engenharia soviética. Enfim, vejam o grandioso Antonov 225 (Антонова, em letrinhas cirílicas). Apesar dos pesares, ele não é exatamente um russo, porém bebe vodka e derivados do petróleo.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Nosso camarada Antonov é uma aeronave ucraniana. Nasceu no dia 21 de dezembro de 1988. Nada simpático, mas é o maior do planeta. E, até onde sei, do universo também (provem o contrário). Jóia, 10 rublos para aquele que responder qual a finalidade do maquinário monstruoso&#8230; À época da Guerra Fria, a União Soviética precisava impor-se diante dos Estados Unidos com coisas grandes.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Ora, nada melhor do que construir um avião grande, então. Eis que surge o dito cujo. Além de cargas diversas, ele era responsável por levar o foguete espacial soviético Buran à órbita. O que não deixava de ser uma cena engraçada. Cosmonautas a viajar na garupa de Antonov.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">E se a vida é feita de recordações, vamos a elas. No vôo inaugural, o piloto escolhido para guiar esse peso-pesado parou, olhou ao redor, analisou a estrutura e conversou com camarada sentado à direita do trem de pouso: &#8220;Você, em sã consciência, acredita que esse troço pode sair do chão?&#8221; Não se sabe a resposta. Provavelmente, o funcionário tampouco acreditava que Antonov sairia do chão.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Mas ele saiu do chão. Depois, pousou em vários chãos. Com ou sem chuva. Com ou sem neve. Na desértica Sibéria ou na cosmopolita Moscou. Uma lenda!</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Infelizmente, o ucraniano de metal, carinhosamente chamado de An-225 Mriya, não sobreviveu ao fim da U.R.S.S. e, hoje, a frota está reduzida a dois aviões, um deles, inclusive, incompleto.</p>

<strong>Don&#8217;t be mistaken, this is no Space Shuttle. This is the Buran, product of Soviet suspicion, ingenuity and scant funds; and doomed to failure.</strong></p>
<p>IN THE EARLY 1970S, at the height of the Cold War, Soviet space officials cast a concerned eye towards NASA&#8217;s new Space Shuttle Program. From all they could tell, it looked like an expensive boondoggle, so why on Earth were the Americans planning to pour so much money into it?</p>
<p>&#8220;They figured there were other reasons for doing this,&#8221; they just didn&#8217;t know what they were, says Asif Siddiqi, a historian of the Soviet space program at Fordham University, in New York City.</p>
<p>Roger Launius agrees. Chair of Space History at Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Washington DC, he thinks the Soviet reasoning probably went like this: the Americans have either lost their minds; or know something we don&#8217;t; therefore we&#8217;d better find out what it is by building our own one.</p>
<p>The great fear, of course, was that the &#8217;something&#8217; was military. And so the Soviets embarked on the most ambitious space program they ever attempted. It was a mad, money-sucking plan that included not only the Soviet shuttle, called the Buran (Russian for snowstorm or blizzard), but an expanded military presence in space, including what Siddiqi describes as, &#8220;laser battle stations and all kinds of crazy things.&#8221;</p>
<p>The program would never succeed in launching a human into space, and today, the abortive shuttles and their prototypes are scattered around the globe. So for all the billions it siphoned from the struggling Soviet economy, the program can only be described as a masterful failure.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p><strong>November 15, 1988 is a date that  has been forgotten by many.  That is the day that the former Soviet Union launched the Space Shuttle &#8220;Buran.&#8221;  The Soviet Shuttle was, in many ways more superior to the American Shuttle.  &#8220;Buran&#8221; had a better heat shield, it&#8217;s engines were able to provide powered flight upon re-entry in Earth&#8217;s atmosphere, and, perhaps more remarkably, it was able to fly remotely &#8211; without a crew.  Sadly, with the collapse of the Soviet Union, the project fell by the wayside.  The &#8220;Buran&#8221; only flew one mission, and eventually was mothballed due to lack of funding.  These pictures show this remarkable machine&#8230;</strong></p>

<p class="pBody">Ông Anatolij Perminov – người đứng đầu Cơ quan Vũ trụ Liên bang nói rằng đầu năm 2008, lãnh đạo đất nước sẽ xem xét vấn đề này. Hiện mới chỉ biết sân bay vũ trụ mới sẽ được xây dựng ở vùng Viễn Đông.</p>
<p class="pBody">Nhiều khả năng là ở tỉnh Amur. Nga vẫn đề nghị thuê sân bay vũ trụ Baikonur của Kazakhstan cho đến năm 2020. Và nếu xây dựng sân bay vũ trụ mới thì có thời gian hai sân bay này được đồng thời sử dụng.</p>
<p class="pBody">Về kế hoạch chế tạo tên lửa đẩy mới và tàu vũ trụ con thoi thì đã công bố cuộc thi thiết kế. Theo những thông tin ban đầu, tham gia vào việc nghiên cứu thiết kế loại tên lửa đẩy mới có Trung tâm tên lửa vũ trụ Samara CSKB-Progress với tên lửa Liên hợp 3, Trung tâm khoa học sản xuất vũ trụ quốc gia mang tên Khrunichev với các tên lửa Angara-3P và Angara-5P, Trung tâm tên lửa vũ trụ mang tên Maeev – hiện là đơn vị thiết kế hàng đầu các tên lửa đạn đạo.</p>
<p class="pBody">Diện mạo của tàu vũ trụ con thoi tạm thời còn chưa rõ, chỉ biết một điều nó có 6 chỗ. Hiện Công ty vũ trụ Energia đang nghiên cứu dự án này. Đó là một tàu sử dụng nhiều lần với trọng lượng xuất phát có ích vào khoảng 12 – 14 tấn.</p>
<p class="pBody">Tuy nhiên vẫn chưa biết tên lửa đẩy nó là loại gì. Có đề nghị sử dụng mô đen cải tiến tiếp theo của tên lửa Liên hợp, về thực chất là một loại tên lửa đẩy mới. Đó là dự án Rạng Đông và giai đoạn phát triển tiếp theo của nó là Onega.</p>
<p class="pBody">Lưu ý là trước đây, vào năm 1988 Liên Xô từng chế tạo được tàu vũ trụ con thoi mang tên Buran và nó đã từng bay vào vũ trụ nhờ tên lửa đẩy Energia sau đó hạ cánh an toàn. Tuy nhiên, sau chuyến bay duy nhất đó, tàu này không được sử dụng lần nào nữa.</p>

Die Konstruktionsarbeiten für das russische Shuttle begannen in den 1970er Jahren. Die neue Raumfähre wurde BURAN genannt, was mit &#8220;Schneesturm&#8221; übersetzt werden kann. Ähnlich wie der russische Überschall-Passagierjet Tupolev TU-144 und die Concorde wurde auch die BURAN und der amerikanische Space Shuttle zur gleichen Zeit entwickelt, wobei die aerodynamischen Notwendigkeiten zu ähnlichen Rumpfkonstruktionen führten</span></span><span style="font-size:x-small;"><span style="font-size:13px;">. Die Buran (russisch Буран für Buran – Schneesturm) ist eine sowjetische Raumfähre, die äußerlich dem US-amerikanischen Space Shuttle ähnelt.<br />
Anders als beim Space Shuttle waren<!--more--> die Starttriebwerke nicht in der Fähre, sondern in der strukturell entsprechend ausgelegten Energija angebracht, wodurch der Grad der Wiederverwendbarkeit im Vergleich zum US-Gegenstück geringer war. Beim US-amerikanischen Shuttle verfügt der Orbiter über eigene Haupttriebwerke und wird nur beim Start vom großen Haupttank versorgt, unterstützt von zwei seitlichen Feststoffboostern.<br />
Die Buran hatte theoretisch Platz für 14 Personen oder 30 Tonnen Nutzlast beim Start und 20 t bei der Landung, war also für eine höhere Nutzlastkapazität im Vergleich zum US-amerikanischen System ausgelegt. Allerdings sollen technische Probleme die Fertigstellung der bemannten Version verhindert haben, so beim Bordcomputer und dem Lebenserhaltungssystem, das seit den früheren Projekten der sowjetischen Raumfahrt kaum weiterentwickelt worden war. Am Ende der Entwicklung gab es aber vor allem Budgetprobleme.</p>
